Still muttering curses about evil CEOs and dumb plots, he shoved the book under his pillow, grabbed his hoodie, and trudged off for his night shift at the convenience store.
The streets were quiet, slick from the earlier rain. His breath fogged in the cold air, but he didn’t mind. Jungkook was used to this life juggling three part-time jobs, living in a tiny rooftop room, and surviving on instant noodles. But he always had his stories. They kept his heart warm.
He was mid-thought about rewriting the novel in his head one where Jungkook survives and punches everyone.
When suddenly a blinding light flashes in front of him and then-
A lot of pain, the murmuring of the crowd and sound of ambulance.
