I- Daddy- *crying continuously**
Saurabh grabbed Paakhi from her arms and pulled her roughly towards himself.
Saurabh Mehra
Look at me and tell me! Did you or did you not KNOW ABOUT YOUR FXCKING MOTHER?!
Paakhi cried while shaking her head in a yes.
Saurabh Mehra
THEN WHY THE FXCK DID YOU NOT TELL ME?! She hurt you?
Paakhi
Please daddy, no. I don't want to answer.
Paakhi cried while begging her father to stop interrogating her,, but Saurabh was furious. Tonight he had decided that he would take action. He could bear everything.

Saurabh darkly looked over Vaidehi who was tied to the chair through the ropes with a cloth tied around her mouth

Saurabh pl- I'm sorry...
Vaidehi said from behind that rag tied across her lips. Her voice sounded gagged.
Paakhi
Daddy please, leave mommy. Please daddy.
Paakhi said hugging her father's long legs, but she was too short for her tall father and since he was blinded by rage, he pushed his daughter aside and picked up a knife and stabbed it in Vaidehi's hand.
Her hand got pinned to the wooden chair's armrest and there were drops of blood circling the knife.
Vaidehi screamed from behind that cloth.
Paakhi cried closing her eyes shut and just then, the door to Mehra's house swung open.
Tushar Vashishtha
HOW DARE YOU TOUCH MY WIFE YOU MOTHERFXCKER?!
An enraged Tushar entered the Mehra house with a scared Surbhi right behind him walking timidly. Her hair was scattered, the sleeves of her blouse were ripped, and her mascara was smudged from crying.
Tushar immediately grabbed Saurabh from his neck and Saurabh just smiled creepily from the corner of his lips.
Saurabh Mehra
I touched your wife, and you want to kill me, you fxcked my wife. Imagine, what I would want to do with you.
Tushar's grip around Saurabh's neck loosened for a few seconds. His face turned pale but in a split second he looked at Paakhi.
Tushar Vashishtha
This little shit told you?! I WILL KILL THIS BIXCH!
Tushar made a run towards Paakhi and Paakhi screamed
But before anything could happen Saurabh took action. He was already holding a knife after stabbing Vaidehi, he just went for it and slashed Tushar's neck. The blood was all around Paakhi's clothes and face.
Paakhi
AAH!! *a shrill scream**
Vaidehi eyes grew big and Surbhi slouched down on the ground. Surbhi didn't know how to react. When Saurabh told her, she didn't believe him but when Tushar himself accepted...
She no longer knew what to do with herself.
Saurabh Mehra
All cheaters must die.
Saurabh said again and in a split second slit Vaidehi's throat as well.
Paakhi screamed and fainted at that scene.
Surbhi Vashishtha
What did you do? You killed them!? Are you a MURDERER?! Have you thought about your little kid?
Surbhi yelled and reached out for Paakhi who was lying unconsciously on the ground.
Saurabh Mehra
I don't know. I don't know. I can't live with Vaidehi knowing that she cheated on me. I can't live without Vaidehi. What did I do? What did I do?
Saurabh said and with the bloody knife in his hands, he dropped on his knees crying.
Surbhi Vashishtha
You should have thought about all this before killing her! The police must be on their way. I am going to turn you in. You just wait!
Surbhi Vashishtha
I cannot let this little girl grow up with a monster like you as her father.
Saurabh looked at Paakhi and stopped crying.
Saurabh Mehra
You're right. Paakhi doesn't deserve us as her parents.
And with that, Saurabh slit his throat as well.
Surbhi Vashishtha
SAURABH?!!
Surbhi screamed but it was late. Saurabh was dead. Surbhi picked up the knife and looked at Paakhi who was lying unconscious in her lap.
Just then the police sirens wailed and cops entered the house. The neighbors had already called them hearing the noise coming out of Mehra's residence.
Cop Ramesh Kant
Mrs. Surbhi Vashishtha! You're under arrest!
Surbhi Vashishtha
Arrest? But I didn't do anything!
Cop Ramesh Kant
You can explain this to the court later. Drop the child and the weapon and come with us
And just like that. It was all a bloody silence.

A lone tear escaped Paakhi's eyes but here nobody was going to pity her. The evidence was out on the table before everyone pointing her as the culprit. She had no idea how she would ever prove herself innocent.

If you have nothing else to say for yourself Paakhi, I'd ask you to please leave my office.
Paakhi said, her head bowed down. Crying she left from her boss's room and keeping her eyes on the floor she kept walking towards her desk as every other employee in the office was staring at her like she was the culprit.
She wasn't, but only she knew it.
She cleaned her desk and submitted her ID and Pass near the HR office. She was heartbroken, but what else was there that she could even do?
Paakhi got out of her office in broad daylight, the first time since the year. She was suddenly jobless. Unemployed. This kind of sucked because now she had no means to pay for herself.
All she had was her savings which would run out in this month itself. She has no family to turn to. Both her parents died when she was ten. The only place she knew she could go to, was her boyfriend's.
So, she took the metro and reached GTB Nagar- Where her boyfriend, Aakash rented a flat.
Reaching his flat she rang the doorbell. Once and then twice. She didn't hear the doorbell ring. She saw it and the lights were out.
Paakhi thought to herself and fished her bag for the spare keys to her Aakash's apartment.
She twisted the doorknob and entered inside to see that the entire house was flipped upside down. Everything was kept out of place. When she walked a little more, she tripped on something.
She looked at what it was and found women's stilettos.
Paakhi
Stilletos? That's not mine.
Paakhi mumbled to herself and walked further towards Aakash's bedroom and found pieces of lingerie thrown on the floor along with Aakash's clothes
She opened the door to Aakash's bedroom and was stunned at the scene inside
This woman dressed in nothing was moaning under him while Aakash was moving in and out of her, doing her like a machine.
Paakhi roared his name and both Aakash and the girl came to their senses and stopped doing what they were.
Aakash
Babe? Um- I thought you were going to be late?
Aakash
Oh, Um- I'm so sorry... What happened?
Aakash got off his bed and came towards her wrapping a towel on his waist.
Paakhi
Don't act smart with me. What the heck was this?!
Aakash
Paakhi, I- I didn't mean for you to see this.
Paakhi
Of course, you didn't.
Paakhi stayed a little longer expecting an explanation from Aakash but Aakash was too embarrassed to talk.
Paakhi
*shakes her head and breathes out**
Paakhi
I'll uhh come back tomorrow to collect my stuff.
Aakash mumbled once again but Paakhi's heart was already broken and no amount of sorry could now mend her broken heart

After leaving Aakash's house, I had no idea where to go next. I really thought we were meant to be and now, it feels like everything that meant so much to me, meant nothing to him. Nothing at all.
I didn't feel like going back to my empty apartment now that I was jobless and broken up. So, I headed to a bar instead
The loud music in the bar and the crowd of millions of people grinding their bodies together helped me take my mind off my misery for quite a while.
Normally, I would be dancing but tonight, I was just sitting at the bar sipping my alcohol. The bartender asked me to pay up, and I realized that I had used up every last penny I had on that wine.

Great. I can't even get drunk anymore!
I talked to myself and turned my head to look at the crowd.
Through the crowd I looked at the other side of the dance floor and caught a man sitting in his chair drinking champagne. This handsome young man, he was too perfect to be real. He looked like he had stepped right out of a movie.
Destiny had it that he was looking at me as well. Me, really? How can a guy as perfect as him notice a girl like me. I wasn't even looking my best. My hair all over the place and my mascara smudged from all the crying.
But then he raised his glass at me and I knew he was looking at me. I don't know what happened to me, I just turned back to the bar thinking about something when the bartender forwarded a drink towards me.

I didn't order this
Bartender
It's from that man over there.
I turned my head to look in the direction and saw him raise his glass with a smile. I picked up the drink as well and threw a smile his way and gulped the liquid inside my throat.
I don't know what I was expecting. I don't even know if the drink was spiked. I just wanted to- I don't know what I wanted to do. Call it my coping mechanism.

The guy sitting over there came to me and introduced himself.
