Nicole was walking through the road it was morning. The sun was really lazy to rise because it was only 5 in the morning. And it was her routine to walk in the early morning as she was a professor. While walking through the morning mist and dew she was thinking about a particular someone who used to be her best friend ,and she was worried. Because that someone was now nowhere to be found. She has been disappeared for almost 6 years now. Last time when she met her she said that she found someone better for her but after that she just disappeared into the thin air. Nicole searched everywhere for her where she thought she will be. But at the same time she never thought that her best friend the one who always relied on her who always seen her as a part of her will leave her one day. Still after she did all that she can't let that thought slip because even she had to leave she could've at least said something, doesn't she?

She was saying in her mind *Where are you ?what happened to you ? Oh! god please don't take her away this soon. Where are you ? I am waiting for you when are you going to come back and say, I am back Niki.* By thinking this all her eyes were filled with tears it was slightly rolling down her cushion like red cheeks.

Somewhere else

A person was sitting in her labs surrounded by boiling solutions, blood samples and note pads and all experimental equipments. She was working on her computer with her eyes on her laptop. She had dark circles around her eyes, her lips were glossy and pink but still it was not less than withered petal, but she was determined in her work and was not paying any attention to the world around her. After while, she yawned and stretched her hands and took of her reading glasses. And now she was looking at picture there were two little girls in it. It was her childhood picture with her friend. She chuckled bitterly after seeing the picture.

She said to the little girl in the picture with her" I am sorry I know I am not eligible for your forgiveness but as I am not going to see you in this life anymore as I am not qualified to do so. I know once you were world to me but after grow up I found that every person in our life is a lesson for us, but you were the teacher who used to teach the lessons. You know it was really hard for me all this time when you were not around and now here I am living like hell because it is escape for me but also a punishment for leaving you and making you worried about me. I am sorry Niki."

She wiped her tears which were rolling down from her weak eyes, and it was wiped by the hand which was looking like a withered stem. After that she walked out of her lab.

Nikki was walking through the corridors of the hospital, and she saw a disappearing figure and her heart started beating fast. She was going for lunch then but after seeing that person she ran behind the person fast as she could. She felt like if she didn't find the person today she can't definitely breathe. Finally, she reached there and called out "Dave ..... Dave, please ....stop" she was breathing faster in between and that person finally stopped it was a young and handsome boy who seems to be in his twenties and when he saw her also called out " Ni..kki.. what are you doing here ?", and she stood still for a second and started speaking "Where is she ?" after hearing that question he didn't mutter a word he just looked at her with eyes full of emptiness and an unknown sadness. She was getting out of patience and she asked him again "I asked you dammit where the hell is she ?" by saying that she literally pushed him.

After that push the sadness and the emptiness in their eyes welled up as tears, and they started crying, and he said in between with a weak voice "I am sorry, but I don't think I can tell you that I am really sorry" she was looking at him with confused yet questioning and asked "Why can't I know that you know right me and your sister been friend for 20 years and I also saw you as my little brother like she did. I know she is your sister but before that we are friends no soulmates now tell me ...f***king tell me already" he was looking at her with an apologetic look and said "Ok fine then we can after you work right. Is that okay with you ?" she answered immediately "I want to talk with right here and now". He answered "Ok then but can we go somewhere else" .

Now they were sitting in a café near the hospital and having some coffee and after taking a sip from the hot coffee she said "Now speak where is your sister ? What happened to her ? Why is her number not reachable answer me ". He said with a calm face but regretful eyes" She is ....she is not here" Nikkei was curious and confused by hearing that and said "She ...she is not here then where is she ? Why can't I find her ?" he slowly looked down and said "I don't know, I don't know Where she is, I don't know what she is doing or literally anything about her actually she left home 5 years ago after that I tried to find her, but I couldn't do that I don't know exactly where she is" Nikki was shocked by his words because she never even purchased a dress without telling her and her tears were already welling up in her eyes and she said to him "She ...she left home, but why didn't she always use to say that the home was her life then why did she ? And he said immediately without a delay with a breaking voice" Sh…she didn't leave herself our parents said her to leave the home that's why she did then...then she was crying likee hell and I couldn't do anything about it".

She asked in a slow and pow voice "Why ...why did they do that to her wasn't she their daughter?". He was paused at that question there was literally a silence which had the memories of their childhood, pain of a best friend and a brother, care for their precious person also. She looked at him like she was seeing through his soul,, and she was literally finding answer from that empty eyes of his,, and he was trying to speak,, but he couldn't do that. The silence was actually enough for them to pain more,, and they were literally breaking through my without them realizing.
