Taehyung slowly walk towards the area where the sound came from.
He was walking so slowly the even the sound of his footsteps was not coming.
But just as he reached the end of the alley, he halted abruptly.

A man—slumped on the pavement—his body still, blood pooling beneath him like ink from a shattered bottle. Taehyung's eyes widened in horror. He couldn’t move, couldn’t blink. The metallic scent of blood hit his nose like a curse.

"I shouldn't have come here"
He staggered backward, eyes darting toward the shadows.
A man cloaked in black, a pistol still warm in his hand, stepped out from the shadows. Sharp eyes locked onto Taehyung’s trembling frame. The Omega’s breath hitched. Beside him stood 6- 7 mens in black waiting for an order to jump in him.

Taehyung whispered, voice cracking as he turned to run.

The rain poured mercilessly from the sky, washing the streets clean—but not his fear.

Shoes slapping against the wet asphalt, his soaked clothes clinging to his trembling frame, heart hammering like it wanted to escape his chest. Behind him, footsteps echoed—fast, heavy, merciless.

Taehyung’s eyes widened. They were close. Too close.

He mumbled while running.
He darted into a narrow alley, splashing through puddles. The buildings loomed like shadows, foreign and unkind. He didn’t know where he was anymore. He didn’t care.

He’s fast, this one! Fan out! He can’t go far!
Taehyung turned sharply, blindly. His vision blurred from the rain, his breath coming in short, panicked gasps. His feet slipped—he nearly fell—but he caught himself against a rusted fence and kept going.
Suddenly, the buildings ended.
Stretching like skeletal fingers into the sky. A forest? He didn’t even realize he had run this far out of the city.

I have no choice.
Without a second thought, Taehyung plunged into the jungle. Branches scraped his arms, leaves slapped his face, but he didn’t stop. The woods were thick, wild, and dark, but it was better than being caught.
Behind him, the men paused at the edge.

The Omega went into the forest.

Meanwhile, Taehyung kept running. Every breath felt like glass in his throat. His body trembled from cold and fear. His legs were about to collapse when—
Old, half-hidden by the trees. Cracked walls, broken windows, rusted metal gates. It looked like it had been abandoned for decades.
Taehyung stumbled forward and pushed the door open with all his might. It creaked loudly but didn’t resist. He slipped inside, collapsed onto the floor, and crawled behind a broken counter.
Only the sound of rain pounding on the roof and his own gasping breaths filled the air.
Outside, the gangsters circled near the forest.

No way we’re going in blind like that. The forest’s cursed or something.

They turned back, and soon, the footsteps disappeared.
Inside, Taehyung lay still on the cold, dirty floor. His heart hadn’t slowed. His fingers gripped the edge of the counter like a lifeline.
