Bustling everywhere...

the sizzling sounds of The cooker on the hot stove and the chopping sounds of the chop board were hitting the whole apartment.

"Charuseela..!", Divyansh called.

Charuseela, a beautiful young woman who got married to her first ever love Divyansh.

 "coming,dev." she replied as she ran towards divyansh.

Divyansh is getting ready for his work and called charu for help.

 Charuseela ties his shoe lays as he did his tie and kept his watch.

they both ran towards the dining table as Divyansh sat on the table fully ready to eat his plate of meal and on the other hand charuseela washed her hands and brought the breakfast she prepared.

She served him without wasting a minute and got to the kitchen again to pack his lunch box.

"didn't i say not to cook lunch for me?", divyansh hissed with irritation.

"you are eating outside meals a lot lately and Mr Divyansh, it is not good for your health !" , charu replied with her righteous words.

Divyansh didn't reply to her logical words. He ate silently and went bidding goodbye "Get ready tonight. We'll go out together."

Surprise....

A beautiful sweet surprise for the woman, who loves him.

Charuseela couldn't form her words as he left saying those words.

She is over the moon.!

A night which she is waiting for has finally arrived.

"dev , he is always busy and today.... He took a step forward and arranged a date for both of us.. Oh my god!" , Charu blushed saying these words repeatedly in front of the mirror.

With happiness she went to the Market and bought Veggies for Tomorrow. She did the laundry. Watching TV she did the clothes ironed and had lunch after 12 noon.

Later, she washed the dishes and selected a dress which took hours.

when it is already the time to have a cup of tea after all the hectic day. When she was about to keep the cattle on the stove the doorbell started to ring.

Charuseela ran towards the door and opened relieving the unannounced guests.

"aunt, uncle!!", charu said expressing her surprise and happiness.

Parents of divyansh... Came to greet the couple who leave far away from the home due to work.

Charuseela made them sit while greeting them and bought tea asking them for their healthcare.

"is she sleeping?", charuseela's mother-in-law asked.

"yes.!", charu answered.

"my son is doing all the work and comes home at night. why don't you go get a job and help him?", the old lady hissed angrily.

"Aunt, I'm taking care of the house and it's already a lot of burden for me with ----", charu was saying but got cut by her mother-in-law.

"stop it with your explanation. I took care of Divyansh while taking care of three more kids and did my house wife duties without any complaints. Nowadays women are so weak and you are mainly.!", charuseela's mother-in-law stopped after finishing her sentence..

Charu bent her head down and didn't complain further.

"when is your father going to give divyansh the lands he promised to give as dowry?", charu's mother-in-law asked.

charuseela gulped the lump of saliva not knowing the answer and didn't dare to look up.

"again with that silence. it's been a year and half that you got married and yet there's no dowry!"

she continued," if you can't give the dowry as you promised then divorce is best. "

Charuseela shouted, "what?"

her mother-in-law nodded saying," if my son gets married to another woman. With the dowry, he can relax a bit and think of the future smoothly with that money."

"but aunt!", charuseela objected.

Her mother-in-law continued," you are the one who went around saying you love our Divyansh. To marry you off to our son , your father promised to give some of his lands as dowry. Now I'm wrong? Correct me!"

Charuseela can speak saying, she is doing all the house chores, feeding his son, laundering his clothes and ironing his clothes. Cleaning and mopping his house. Why? why has she done those for free?

That's the custom. A beautiful custom where a woman does all those with love for her husband and it's nowhere to complain further about it.

Dowry?

dowry is given in the name to make sure the in-laws take good care of their daughters in their wedded house.

But charuseela?!

She clearly isn't cherished by her in-laws. Then , what about her husband?

what if even after they took the dowry they still act so.! What's the use?

Charuseela has no words to express..... Because she has to bow her head for elders and never talk back. That's what she learned.

charuseela didn't talk not because of the fear, nor was she a dumb woman.

She is a true woman.

She just wants to not drag the situation. Her mother-in-law is nowhere near to understand her, explaining it will even worsen the situation.

Talking back and expressing her words even in a calm voice makes her look evil , who is opposing elders and has zero manners. This, only triggers more trauma.

isn't it better to stay silent in this situation?

" I'll ask dad once again.", charu cooled the temperature around.

"we'll be staying here for a week or two. Arrange our clothes and things.", charuseela's mother-in-law ordered.

Charuseela silently nodded and went to set things for her parents-in-law.

In the room, charu looks at a person who is sleeping and speaks," I'll explain everything clearly to the dev directly. He'll talk with his parents smoothly and they'll listen to him. that's a good idea."

Charuseela served her parents in-law and cooked delicious meals for them as they wished.

It took the whole evening for the preparations of the meals and taking care of other house chores.

Charuseela is waiting for divyansh to come home. She is looking at the wall clock again and again.

Time ticking 11'o clock.

Around 1'o clock divyansh came home all drunk.

"dev!" , charuseela ran towards him as she took his huge arm around her neck to support him in standing.
