An Enigma's Serenity
Prologue
The Alphas, Omegas and Betas, are the personified treasure of each country, and the rarest secondary gender, the Enigma. They all are the basis of social rankings and a significant issue in the society. However, Enigmas are different.
Enigmas are recognized as the founder of the human civilization. Thousands of years ago, They walked the continents with average humans, and because of their supernatural abilities transcending the normal human nature, they were able to establish a civilized world.
They have unique physical characteristics that are still observed to this day;
Violet eyes that turns yellow when they are in heat
An average height of 6 foot and 2 inches, their bodies are like a well-sculpted statue, the epitome of perfection
And a well define delicate facial features where in males are comparable to the beauty of a female. This is why normal humans would consider them as the descendants of god and the peak of humanity.
The relationship of Enigmas with normal humans was considered peaceful and harmonious. Since the physiology of Enigmas are different to that of a normal human, mating was forbidden between species, because only an Enigma can handle another Enigma's estrus. That was the only rule that the Enigmas created in order to keep themselves from hurting the vulnerable humans and the purity of their blood Intact. But what is a rule, when someone breaks it?
Enigmas started mating with humans due to their primal urge rooting from their blooming fondness towards average humans.
The evolving relation resulted into a new era of hybrids; Alpha and Omegas, the offsprings from both an Enigma and a normal female human. These hybrids born as either male or female, were given the capability to conceive a child. Their nature are similar to Enigmas but cannot be compared.
The increasing population of hybrids and the developing fear of humans towards Enigmas, drove their interspecies bond into ruins. Many females died from mating with an Enigma, and even males were no longer an exemption.
The Enigmas decided to isolate themselves, and after hundreds of years, their population significantly decreased almost as if they are at the brink of extinction. Probably because some humans rebelled and killed them. Today, only about 53 Enigmas are known to exist around the globe, and they are the basis of a country's power and success.
The average humans became resistant to pheromones from Enigmas and hybrids. Currently, they are known as Betas of the new world, unable to feel any stimulating pheromones, with only females capable of impregnation. They are the least preferred secondary gender, but has the highest population.
As innocent and naive as I was back then, I dreamed and prayed that I will be recognized as an Enigma or at least a dominant Alpha---- but I was born a Beta. A Beta trapped in the palm of a world reknown Enigma. It is as if history will repeat again, but I think it would be different this time.

Chapter 1
Yuki was stunned when his girlfriend slapped him on the face after he tried to pull her away from the guy.
His eyes widened, his body was trembling, and his mind was blank from the shock and anger he felt when he just found out that his girlfriend just cheated on him at the day of their 3rd anniversary as a couple.
Michelle combed her hair with her fingers with annoyance

Why do you have to be so annoying?
Yuki looked at Michelle with eyes that are about to burst with tears
Yuki Leigh
You were cheating on me??
Michelle just looked at him with disgust
Then, the guy standing behind Michelle, gently grabbed her by the waist and smiled.

You see, little guy... A beautiful omega like Michelle, doesn't want to end up with a pathetic loser beta like you... *smirks

The alpha then went to Michelle and helped her wipe her face

Michelle became quiet and so is the alpha beside her
Yuki walked away from them and stopped before he even went further. He then turned his head back

When I come back tomorrow morning and you're still here, I'm gonna call the police and the owner of the building.
They couldn't answer Yuki as if they were defeated.
At the end, Michelle realized that she lost big time.
Yuki took out his phone and breathed deeply while trying to wipe the blood off of his lower lip.

[I've calmed down a bit... I guess I gotta call my bros]
Yuki opened his phone and sent a messaged to his friends

[Let's have a drink tonight at xxx club]
Yuki is known to be optimistic and jolly all the time
His positivity is the thing that brightens the day of most people around him
But on this special day... Yuki became the opposite of what he is
Chapter 2
The club was a bit crowded and noisy with loud music playing and people dancing on the dance floor. Yuki and his friends however, are on the 2nd floor, VIP area, where the dance floor from below can be seen.
Yuki slammed his 5th bottle of beer on the table

I got cheated on!!!
Yuki hugged his friend beside him who was disgusted by the snots coming out of his nose
Dominic pushed Yuki's head away from him
However, Yuki kept on hugging Dominic and won't even let go of him

Yuki suddenly grabbed Dominic's sleeve and wiped his nose with it

Yuki stood up and almost fell but Riu caught him

Riu let go of Yuki. He walked while staggering a bit, but he was still able to go out of the club without any issues.
