I fidget with the cufflinks on my suit, hating how tight the damn thing feels. My father sent me here, of course. He couldn’t be bothered to show up himself, but he couldn’t not show up either.
So, as always, I’m the one left to play the dutiful son.
The event? Some celebration for a new partnership between families. A fancy way of saying we’re all pretending to like each other for the sake of money. Typical.
I spot a few familiar faces trying to make eye contact. I ignored them, turning my gaze elsewhere. I’m not here for small fake talk. I’m here because my father insisted.

(sips) annoying (mumbled)
I slip away from the main room, needing a break from all the fake smiles and phony conversations. The hallways are quieter, and the music fades to a dull in the distance.
Then, out of nowhere, I felt something touching my back, not a thing but someone actually brave enough to lay his hand on me

My hand slips under my jacket, and I pull out the knife. Before he can even react, I’ve slammed it into his hand, pinning it to the door. The sharp, metallic sound of the blade meeting wood fills the space, followed by his sharp intake of breath, and he screams as loud as he can.

I didn't glance at that man who was this 🤏 close to his death, A single sign from me and Marco will shoot him ... well, the interesting part is no one from the entire party would dare to ask me why I did that
But I Don't like those bloodshed games, it's not like I can't kill, it's just I don't like it and I am not the type to get my hands dirty unless I have to

I wasn’t even supposed to be on this side of town, but somehow, I ended up here, I frowned as my driver drove past Cavallaro Enterprises
There it was, towering over the city like some untouchable monument. Its glowing sign was impossible to miss ... bold letters spelling out CAVALLARO ENTERPRISES, shining like it owned the damn sky.
I hated it. I hated him. TRISTAN CAVALLARO, the man who rules this empire, who had everything handed to him by tearing down others.

I couldn’t stand the sight of it.
He wasn’t just another mafia figure, he was a walking reminder of everything wrong in this world.

Finally, after a frustrating party and annoying ride I reached home, some guards bowed after looking at me heading inside... I made my way towards my room but before that -

I didn't look back but I knew that Leon will still wait for Dad, it's been 10 years since that woman divorced my Dad, she left me, Leon and the person who loved her most
My Dad is a mafia leader, the world kneels down in front of him but I saw him kneeling down for that woman, and still, she betrayed him... I respect women except her, I hate her and one day I'm going to make sure that she pays for the tears my family shed for her

Tristan Cavallaro walked inside, clearly looking annoyed.... wearing a black trench coat, hands in pocket, and gaze sharp enough to skin a man alive
All twelve men around the table stood bowing and not sitting until he was in the chair
