The water drops are falling lightly from the sky so from her eyes too. She is waiting out of the operation theater, for the doctor to come and say "Everything is alright, no need to worry" while knowing nothing is fine, and she needs to worry about everything. Her mom is sitting at the corner of the bench, thinking about the worst possibilities she could.

Time passed, and the doctor came out with a sadness in his eyes which crushed their hearts into uncountable pieces. The girl is not ready to accept what the doctor said, His words are roaming around all over her head "we're sorry, we couldn't save him."

The girl starts panicking, shouting, crying and denying the truth and then an alarm rings and she wakes up with a gasp from this nightmare. This nightmare she's having every time after that day when she lost the most precious person in her life, her father.

Her father, Marcus Mathew. A man who loved her and cared for her the most, she was that precious treasure to him which he can't afford to get hurt or far away from him, but now he is all away from her.

She misses him every day, every night. Every time she closes her eyes she sees her father leaving her, she is telling him not to leave trying to run towards him, but he disappears all of a sudden in darkness, and now she is trying to find him in that darkness, she is now captured in it until she gets a new Light. Having everyone by her side, but she's still all alone because they are not whom she wanted by her side but still she is grateful to them for backing her up.

She is on her way to the classroom while being all silent and passing the noisy crowd in the hallway. She entered the classroom and went towards her seat when she heard someone calling her name "Jane" she turned towards the voice just to see it's her friends. Likewise, she put her belongings there and walked towards them with a normal yet happy face. They all meet and start with their usual nonsense and laugh at their own jokes just to make Jane Happy because they know she's trying to stay strong in front of them but crying inside her heart.

Later they started to walk towards their own seats after stopping whatever they were doing as their teacher had already arrived in the classroom. The whole class became silent after greeting the teacher. Focusing on the topic which the teacher is teaching except the one named "Ryan" the boy who is sitting behind Jane and staring at her exposed neck, but the thing is Jane also knows that. She knew since the first day that this guy is not easy to handle as she started thinking about that day when she first saw him, he was bullying some students outside the school on his first day after his transfer to here when he noticed her looking at him, he said to her "What you saw just forget it or just be mute" he was about to walk past her when she replied "Sorry, but I have a good memory, and I'm quite talkative too" He turned around to see her, but she just walked past him without even looking at him and leaving him their alone dumbfounded.

A sudden calling snaps Jane out of her thoughts, it's her desk mate more like a soulmate, her bestie "Ace" she is the girl who can give anything to Jane or give up on anything for Jane. Ace whispers in Jane's ear "what are you thinking about?" Jane whispers back to Ace "Nothing just how to poke someone's eyes" Ace whispers "I can teach you." Jane smirks and whispers "Then please teach me with a practical" Ace chuckled lightly, but unfortunately this doesn't last long as the teacher caught them. They got punished for writing an apology letter.

They both are sitting outside the principal's office writing the letter in the meantime Ryan and his group of boys are passing them while cracking jokes and Ryan stares at Jane. Ace wanted to choke them and said to Jane "I'll poke that Ryan's eyes first as a reference to teach you" Jane replied while watching his disappearing figure "I actually want that reference" Ace frowned in confusion and looked at Jane that's when Jane stopped writing and stood up saying "I'm done let's go" Ace also stood up abruptly and said "uh oh, wait for me, I haven't finished yet".

School ended Jane and Ace walked towards the school's main gate with their other friends, Lin, Shawn and Trevor. At the same time Ryan and his Group of boys cross them and Ryan smirks looking at Jane, Ace notices and is about to say something, but Jane stops her by grabbing her arm lightly. After reaching the school's main gate they all parted their ways, Lin, Shawn and Trevor walk towards one way while Jane and Ace walk towards another way, to the bus stop.

Their bus arrived at the stop they both boarded on the bus and the bus started moving, Soon the bus reached the bus stop where Ace had to say bye to Jane. After three stops the bus stopped at the bus stop where Jane had to reach. Now she's walking alone in an alley which go towards her home while humming a song softly "•♬•♫•.Lily was a little girl

Afraid of the big, wide world.•♫•♬•" . She felt someone is following her, she turned around but saw none, she sighed and ignored it but still chose to walk faster towards her home than suddenly out of nowhere something jumped in front of her she fell down loosing her balance and start screaming on top of her lungs while covering her head to prevent herself from any attack. Then she heard a low sound in the middle of her screams... "~meow~meow"

"~meow ~meow"

After hearing that sound Jane slowly opened her eyes and saw a cute little cat hiding behind a box as if that kitten was scared of Jane and of course Jane's screams scared that little kitten very badly.

Jane stood up and walked towards that box where that little kitten is hiding she picked up the kitten carefully and gently in her arms and said "Aww little one I'm really sorry I scared you, you're so cute" in response the little one just meow lightly. Jane thought what is this little kitten doing here in this alley? Then she notices the box there's a note inside it, she holds the kitten in her one arm and picks up the note with another and reads it...

I'm sorry for abandoning and leaving my little kitten here, but I can't take care of him anymore so if anyone finds him here, please take care of him, I'm really sorry…

She finished reading the note and became furious and said "Hump how crazy your owner is the little one". The little kitten rubbed its face against Jane's hand while making soft ear pleasing meow sound "Aww little one you are so adorable, how can someone abandon you, your former owner must be heartless, but don't worry now you are in right hands from now on I'll take a good care of you".

She started walking towards her home while someone was watching her the whole time when she was talking to the little kitten and now that person is staring at Jane's disappearing figure.

After 5 minutes of walking Jane finally reached her home and entered from the back door as she couldn't let her mom see this little kitten or else she was going to be dead meat by her mom's beating because her mom doesn't like animals much.

She quietly sneaks into her room while holding the little kitten in her arms and the little one is quite dusty right now, so she decided to clean him up. She picked up a soft towel and after soaking it in water she gently clean his furs and paws while talking to him, she was saying things like this "little one are you male or female, well in that note you were mentioned as him, so you might be a male cat" little one just meow softly "Aww now the most difficult part what should I name you Thunder, Goofy, or Mimi well these names doesn't suit you I should think more" like this she finished cleaning him up.

Something suddenly popped up in her brain and she shouted "Blaze!!!" because of the shout the little kitten jumped "Oh sorry he-he well now I know what should I name you little one from now on you'll be called Blaze". This name actually suited his personality and color a cat with playful energy and adorable eyes plus the ginger and blazing color made this name perfectly suit him. She asked Blaze" Blaze do you like this name?" in response the little one made an adorable meowing sound, and it made her smile seeing, he likes the name.

She heard a growling sound, and it came from Blaze's stomach, and she exclaimed "oh!! Blaze you might be hungry right let me bring you, some milk to drink" she put Blaze on the little couch in her room and walked towards the kitchen quietly, so her mom doesn't see her, she successfully reached the kitchen and took out the milk box from the refrigerator and then ran towards her room when she heard her mom calling her "Jane you are home why didn't you told me?" Jane said "sorry mom, I just went straight to my room"

She opened her room door and locked it after entering. She placed the little bowl on the floor and poured milk in it and placed Blaze in front of the bowl. Blaze sniffed it and started drinking it with his tongue, Jane smiled at Blaze and took out her phone and searched "what should we give little kittens to eat?" the results showed various foods for cats according to their age, she looked at Blaze and said "well I don't know what your age is what should I do now?"

Then she got a notification on her phone "Hey Snow did you finish it if not then do it fast tomorrow's deadline" she sighed after reading it and while caressing Blaze's head she said "well Blaze now I have to work you finish your milk, and I'll take you to the vet tomorrow before going to school".

She was working on her computer when she heard a knock on the door she quickly turned off her computer and ran towards the door to open it but returned and placed sleeping Blaze on the couch after picking him up from the floor (well it was not bare floor there was a soft rug). She heard her mom calling "Jane open the door" she quickly ran towards the door and opened it in half only and saw her mom standing there. Jane smiled nervously and said "yes mom do you need anything?" her mom said "come have dinner quickly" she replied "oh yeah I'm coming in 5 minutes you go ahead" her mom nod.

Her mom was about to leave towards the hall but stopped and turned around and said "move aside Jane" Jane stood there stunned and asked "w-why mom?" smiling nervously, and she cursed herself in her mind for stuttering, her mom replied "I need something from your room" Jane sighed, and said "oh then just tell me what you need, I'll bring it to you" her mom said "I can get it by myself just move-" Jane cut her sentence in between and said "Mom you look so tired I'll help you and let's go after dinner I'll give you a great massage" She quickly close the door behind her and dragged her mom towards dinning table. Her mom said "you are acting weird today".

While having dinner both mother and daughter had a great talk with each other after months and after dinner Jane brought what her mom wanted from her room and her mom started working with some papers and on laptop while Jane massaged her mom's head...

Jane's Mother, Serena Mathew, A woman who loved only one man in her life and married him and gave birth to his children, even though she's a Surgeon Doctor, she always tried to make time for her family but sometimes plans get ruined because of her duty and she can't deny it as being a responsible Doctor. Her nature is very tender towards everyone, a very kind and sophisticated woman.

Her daughter, Jane, is her most precious treasure because the man she loved the most had loved their daughter more than he loved her. Serena and Marcus have two children, but Jane is the whole family's life, everyone dotted on her, but no one did more than her father did. Serena is very depressed after Marcus's death due to a heart attack, She became a doctor because she had lost her parents in a car accident and wanted to save lives but now she lost her husband even after being a doctor. She sometimes blames herself and doesn't even know the reason why she does it?

After finishing the massage of her Mom's head and her Mom also done her work, she returned to her room and saw Blaze sleeping on his back showing his cute belly. She walked towards her closet and took out a thin little blanket and put it on Blaze. Jane stares at Blaze and then takes a selfie with him and sets it as her phone screen wallpaper, then she looks at a photo frame on her study table. It is a photo of her in her father's arm smiling with the same blanket in her hand, soon some memories flash in front of her eyes, she closes her eyes .

She's with her dad in mall at bedroom necessities section, she was around 6 , little Jane saw a cute little yellow blanket with sun printed design and asked her father "Dad, Dad can you buy me this" her father chuckled at her cuteness and bent to her level, said "Of course sweetheart, you can get anything and everything you want" little girl Jumped in happiness and hugged her dad saying "Thank you Dad you are the best Dad in the whole world, I love you" He picked up Little Jane and gave her the blanket and then the picture got clicked by her Mom.

Jane opened her eyes realizing her tears streaming down from her eyes, she wiped them and sat on her chair and start working on her computer she was awake till 1 am and finally finished her work and decided to submit it tomorrow as tomorrow's deadline is until 7 pm and then finally she lay down on her bed and swift to her slumber, but she is feeling suffocated and anxious, because she's having that nightmare again.

Next morning Jane wakes up early in the morning even before her mom because before going to school she has to go to the veterinary hospital to know Blaze's age and check if he has any injury, After getting ready she quietly leaves the house after leaving a note with breakfast on the dinner table. After 20 minutes her mom came and saw the breakfast on the dining table and read the note "Mom today I left early for the school, here's your breakfast, love you." she smiled after reading this.

Jane has arrived at the veterinary hospital with an awake Blaze in her arms after taking the bus from the bus stop. She saw the doctor and when he looked at Jane he gave her a little smile, Jane smiled back and said "Hello Uncle Jacob" the doctor knows Jacob because he's an old friend of her father.

Jacob walked towards Jane and then his gaze fell on the little kitten in her arms, and he asked with a confused look "Jane did your mom throw you out of your house?" Jane laughed and shook her head saying "No no Uncle Jacob, my mom doesn't know about this little kitten" Jacob smiled and said "well I see but when and from where you get this little cute thing" at his words Blaze fiercely hissed Jane chuckle and pat his head saying "Okay I understood" she said to Jacob "Uncle Jacob his name is Blaze don't call him little thing" Jacob smiled at Blaze and said "So now let's go to my cabin and tell me the whole thing about Blaze" Jane nod.

They walked towards Jacob's cabin with him and Blaze in her arms then the Guy, Ryan who was playing with cats and dogs saw Jane and thought in his mind "What is this girl doing here, and she has a cat???" His thought got interrupted by a meow, he shifted back his attention to the cats and dogs again and said in a soft and tender voice while rubbing the cat's belly "baby you are so cute"

Jane told the whole story to Jacob that how, when and where she found Blaze and even showed the note which Blaze's former owner had left. After hearing all Jacob asked Jane "So are you planning to raise her or leave him under our care unit?" Jane quickly said "I'm going to raise him" Jacob smiled and said "Well it'll be a difficult task because your mom doesn't like animals" Jane said "Uncle I understand your concern that's why I need your help" Jacob asked with a confused look "Help? From me? " Jane nod.

After 30 minutes Ryan saw Jane leaving Doctor Jacob's cabin saying "bye bye Blaze I'll be back soon wait for me" , and she's literally running looking at her watch from time to time she ran towards elevator and aggressively pressed the button of the elevator, Ryan was staring at her with confusion and then realized that she's in school uniform and have a bag, she's getting late for school, well he's also getting late, but he doesn't care.

Jane left from there then Uncle Jacob came out of his cabin with Blaze in his arms and walked towards the cat and dog kennel area and put Blaze in one of the kennels for cats. There he saw Ryan and pulled his ear saying "You little brat why haven't you gone to school yet , huh? Go home and get ready then go to school, understood?" Ryan winced in pain and said "Yes, yes Uncle I'm going, I'm going, please leave my ear." Jacob left his ear.

Suddenly both of them froze at their place when they heard a loud car crashing sound from the roadside and someone shouted standing at the window "*That little girl, is she okay? Look like she's a* **student**"...
