A Love Between the Lines
Chapter one : 3:20am
"Some stories don't end-
they .......pause .........wait, for the right hearts to rewrite- them".
Rosy tossed the book aside. The soft thud echoed louder than it should have. For two days, she’d lived in that world—until 3 a.m. nights, curled under her blanket, whispering, “One more chapter, just one.” But now it was over.
And they didn’t get their happy ending
The raindrops pouring outside her window soothingly.
She stared at the ceiling, unsatisfied with the ending of the book "The Love in Bloom."
'Her lips parted' As she whispered the final line of the book laying on her bed.
Rosy (𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏) [𝑴𝑪]
'Their love wasn't meant to bloom- but only to remember'.
The words clinging to air like perfume as she lay still her eyes tracing invisible patterns on the ceilings
The soft sounds of rain tapping against the window mixed with the rustling of tree leaves outside.
Rosy rolled onto her side, facing the open night, watching the sky painted in shades of storm
Rosy (𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏) [𝑴𝑪]
I fall in love twice a week-with the fictional men and its fine , .....
I'm fine .
Rosy (𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏) [𝑴𝑪]
But "This story felt so different... it felt like someone reached into my thoughts and wrote things i wanted to experience .
Rosy (𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏) [𝑴𝑪]
“But Liam deserved more,” *whispers into the shadows*.
"That Roselyn… she was hurt too, I get it. But she was so—childish. So blind.”
“Couldn’t she see? The man who breathed every second for her? Who loved her without asking for anything back?”
Rosy (𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏) [𝑴𝑪]
“And she let a single misunderstanding ruin it all. She broke him. And then had the audacity to cry at the end?”
*scoffed*
“This ending… it’s absurd.”
Her voice faded into the hush of rain, swallowed by the soft hush of the storm.
And like that she drifted into sleep.
But beside her, where the book lay shut, something glowed—faint and golden.
The pages began to flutter, one by one, faster, faster—whispers caught in the windless air.💫
Then came a voice. Gentle. Melodic. But firm. Like truth itself.
"𝑾𝑯𝑶 𝑺𝑨𝑰𝑫 𝑰𝑻 𝑾𝑨𝑺 𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑬𝑵𝑫”?
“𝑰𝑻'𝑺 𝑵𝑶𝑻 𝑾𝑹𝑰𝑻𝑻𝑬𝑵. 𝑵𝑶𝑻 𝒀𝑬𝑻.”
“𝑺𝑶𝑴𝑬𝑻𝑯𝑰𝑵𝑮 𝑰𝑺 𝑺𝑻𝑰𝑳𝑳 𝑾𝑨𝑰𝑻𝑰𝑵𝑮… 𝑻𝑶 𝑩𝑬 𝑹𝑬𝑾𝑹𝑰𝑻𝑻𝑬𝑵.”
And before the light could fade, it wrapped around her like breath—
pulling her in. ☄️
PROLOGUE OF
"𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒃𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒎".
Roselyn Everhart was born into comfort, raised with silk and roses, and taught that love was a fairytale written in gold.
But life taught her something else
She loved a prince once—a man who spoke in promises and kissed like poetry. But he left her with nothing but shattered illusions… and a child who never got the chance to live.
And when the world turned dark, it wasn’t him who stayed.
It was Liam.
Her childhood friend. The one who stood behind her in silence but saw her more than anyone ever did.
“You don’t have to love me,” Liam had once said, “Just let me stay.”
So she married him.
Not for love—but for something close enough to feel safe.
And over time, love did bloom—quietly, carefully.
Until the prince returned.
“He’s not who you think,” the prince warned her.
And Roselyn, wounded and afraid, listened.
She turned on Liam.
Accused him.
Broke him.
In front of everyone.
And Liam? He didn’t fight back.
“If this is what you believe,” he said softly, “then I won’t stay where I’m not trusted.”
The next day, he left for war.
He never came home.
They said he died a hero. But Roselyn would only remember the way he looked at her one last time—like she was both his salvation and his ruin.
Two hearts.
Two mistakes.
One ending too cruel to be called love.
But some stories don’t end.
They linger—in memories, in pages, in hearts that still ache for what could’ve been.
Even if they’re fictional, they live.
Waiting.
For someone to turn the page…
and choose differently.
Like some kind of magic.
The kind that only begins… when you believe it never really ended.✨
chapter two "Not quite roselyn".
"𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝒔𝒉𝒆 𝒉𝒂𝒅𝒏'𝒕 𝒇𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏 𝒂𝒔𝒍𝒆𝒆𝒑 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚..... 𝒔𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒊𝒕".
Rosy groaned and stretched, expecting to feel her phone digging into her side or her pillow slipping off the bed. But instead, her fingers brushed against embroidered silk. She opened one eye.
Curtains—cream red and gold—billowed gently in a breeze from an arched window. The ceiling was high, detailed with carved wood beams .the Everything smelled faintly of roses, parchment, and something old, like books that had known generations.
𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 (rosy) [𝑴𝑪]
What the......
She sat up slowly. The dress she wore was loose at the sleeves, tight at the waist. The bed wasn’t hers. The room wasn’t hers. And—
....
"OH GOOD HEAVENS !". *screams*
𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 (rosy) [𝑴𝑪]
AHH......! *screams back*
A girl—stood at the foot of the bed, face pale as flour, eyes wide. holding a silver tray .
As Rosy screamed back and the tray clattered to the floor..... Which the girl holding
....
"I-i didn't mean to scream..... You've not stirred in hours".
*Said while picking the tray from the floor.*
𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 (rosy) [𝑴𝑪]
*blinked* “Oh... damn. Who are you, girl?!”
The girl looked more shocked at rosy than the cursing.
Elna (maid)
“Madam? It’s me—Elna! I didn’t mean to startle you. You’ve… you’ve had quite the fall yesterday—your head, you see…”
𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 (rosy) [𝑴𝑪]
"My head ?".
Rosy looked around, then at herself—flowy dress, tight corset, no phone. Her mouth opened.
That wasn’t her voice.
And this wasn’t her body
She scrambled out of the bed , wobbling
𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 (rosy) [𝑴𝑪]
“Nope. I’m having a medieval identity crisis
She flung the sheets off and stood, bare feet pressing into an embroidered rug. She walked to the mirror. The reflection was hers—but not quite. Her hair was pinned and curled, her face was quite same.
Elna (maid)
"Madam! *rushed forward*
𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 (rosy) [𝑴𝑪]
Uhh.....Don't Madam me... Where is my phone!
Elna (maid)
*Face twisted in confusion*.
“Oh Madam… your memory—has it gone? From the accident?”
"You are not, quite roselyn
𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 (rosy) [𝑴𝑪]
*Paused* “Wait. What accident?"
Elna (maid)
You fainted in the garden holding your head , after yelling at the wine steward again,” Elna said timidly. “Sir Hale said it was one of your spells. You were always... dramatic.”
*said and left*
𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 (rosy) [𝑴𝑪]
*blinked* “Sir Hale? As in... Liam Hale?” and roselyn ?
𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 (rosy) [𝑴𝑪]
..*Processing informations*..
𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 (rosy) [𝑴𝑪]
"The book".
“The Love in Bloom " oh God. I’m in the book.
𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 (rosy) [𝑴𝑪]
No way.
Is it a fever dream.
Or Am I dead and being punished by being turned into the most annoying character in my favorite book.
𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 (rosy) [𝑴𝑪]
This isn’t happening,” she muttered. “I didn’t ask for this. I just—cried a little, maybe yelled at a fictional character—but that doesn’t mean I should wake up as her!”
𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 (rosy) [𝑴𝑪]
Books don’t pull you in. That’s not real. That’s not science. That’s fanfiction logic!”
𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 (rosy) [𝑴𝑪]
And ....
“I’m not Roselyn. I’m Rosy—with anxiety, bad posture, and a snack drawer under my bed. I can’t handle corsets and castles and... and arranged marriages!”
𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 (rosy) [𝑴𝑪]
That too without My phone and airpods-
'Just as she was thinking a firm knock came over the door'.
She barely turned her head when the door opened—without waiting for a reply—and the sound of boots striking the floor followed.
"She looked up and stunned" .
"And across from her stood him "
Tall. Broad-shouldered. Dressed in a tailored deep-blue waistcoat, crisp linen shirt, leather belt slung with a ceremonial sword—because apparently, that’s normal here. His dark blond hair was neatly brushed back, a few strands falling slightly over his brow.
" The man she'd cried and the man who broken her fictional heart ".
And His eyes—
Gray.
Stormy, soft gray, just like the book said.
....
He stepped inside, voice low and careful. “Roselyn…”
𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 (rosy) [𝑴𝑪]
*looks without blinking*
𝑳𝒊𝒂𝒎 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 [𝑴𝑳]
“My lady, are you alright?” he asked, walking closer. “Elna said you fainted. I came as soon as I heard.”
𝑳𝒊𝒂𝒎 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 [𝑴𝑳]
And oh—there it was.
The way he looked at her.
With worry. With quiet affection he didn’t voice but wore all over his face.
And just as his hand reached to brush her cheek—fingers trembling slightly—he paused.
Her stunned expression must’ve said too much.
He retreated, the warmth in his eyes dimming.
𝑳𝒊𝒂𝒎 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 [𝑴𝑳]
“My apologies,” he said, stepping back like he’d overstepped. “I… spoke with the wine steward about the incident yesterday. I only meant to see if you were well.”
𝑳𝒊𝒂𝒎 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 [𝑴𝑳]
*said slowly * “Forgive me if my presence is unwelcome
He turned, the weight of old hurt slipping across his shoulders, and walked out—quietly closing the door behind him.
Rosy stood frozen. Still processing...
"𝒔𝒉𝒆 𝒉𝒂𝒅 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒃𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒌 𝒐𝒏 𝒑𝒂𝒑𝒆𝒓 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒅𝒊𝒅𝒏'𝒕 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒆𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒊𝒇 𝒊𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒆𝒚𝒆𝒔".
chapter three: "Before the lines were drawn".
"𝑰'𝒎 𝒂𝒇𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝒊 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒑 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒚𝒐𝒖, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒓𝒊𝒇𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒎𝒆 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝑰'𝒎 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒇𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖'𝒍𝒍 𝒏𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒆 𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌".
Rosy stood in the middle of the room, her mouth slightly open.
𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 (rosy) [𝑴𝑪]
“I’m really in this. Like... for real.”
*spun in a slow circle, taking in the tapestries, the fireplace, the faint smell of lavender soap*.
“And that means... Liam.”
𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 (rosy) [𝑴𝑪]
“Oh my God, Liam Hale is even more handsome in real life.”
“Nothing like those dramatic cover pages with brooding stares and windblown hair.”
𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 (rosy) [𝑴𝑪]
*Smiling while blushing*
𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 (rosy) [𝑴𝑪]
“But I’m not his love." *whispers*
The silence in the room deepened—just for a moment—as if the world paused to listen.
And in that stillness, a whisper coiled through the air, soft as paper and sharp as ink:
"𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭- 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲. 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐢𝐭".
she didn’t hear it. Not fully. But something in her gut twisted, like a warning… or a promise.
𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 (rosy) [𝑴𝑪]
*shivers*
What was that....! 🍃
She shrugged it off and looked around the elegant, unfamiliar room. The floral curtains. The old wooden armoire. The carved mirrors.
She took a step forward thats when she realised Her limbs ached. Her chest felt tight, her body weak—like she had gone through something… traumatic.
𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 (rosy) [𝑴𝑪]
Right accident… what had caused it?
Everything in her mind blurred. She knew the plot, the rise and fall of the love story—but the details, the emotions, the memories of Roselyn—were locked away.
Even her body felt weak, unfamiliar, as if it carried pain she didn’t earn.
𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 (rosy) [𝑴𝑪]
Uh....*pressing fingers on temples*
then she remembered.Liam. His departure. His captaincy in the South. That was when it all began.
Rosy stood quietly, piecing the foggy outline of the story together. Bits of it slipped back into her mind unsteady, but real.
𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 (rosy) [𝑴𝑪]
In the book, after the accident, Roselyn was to follow Liam to the South—not out of love, but to chase the prince and confront him . It was during that journey, their love started to bloom
𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 (rosy) [𝑴𝑪]
They lived far from the kingdom then—Liam’s family ran a small, well-regarded inn near the coast, simple and warm. But when he was called for training under the crown, they moved to the kingdom’s edge, closer to the barracks.
𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 (rosy) [𝑴𝑪]
That was where things shifted. Where Roselyn began to see him.
And where, in the end, she would betray him.
𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 (rosy) [𝑴𝑪]
"I couldn't let that happen again..
I don't know how long I'll stay here even if I'm not roselyn. But If im here-I'll choose this man. Who choose her every single time.
Rosy stepped out of the room. The hallway stretched long and quiet, with flickering candles lighting the stone walls. The smell of wood and something sweet filled the air. Everything looked like it belonged in a painting.
This time, she would choose him before the story had a chance to break him.
𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 (rosy) [𝑴𝑪]
*stumbles but supports the wall beside* Ow-
Right This body...is ..still recovering....
But Liam is leaving...i need....to..join....
𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 (rosy) [𝑴𝑪]
Why this....place is ..kinda..creepy... Nvm
*walking through the hallways*
Finally, she reached the main hall.
There, standing near the entrance, was Liam.
He wore his military gloves, fastening the last buckle on his coat. His broad back was turned to her, his posture calm—but something about the way his shoulders hung felt... heavy. Like he was already carrying the weight of goodbye.
He hadn’t noticed her yet.
But Rosy, the moment she saw him preparing to leave, panicked. Her heart jumped as she rushed forward, forgetting how fragile her body still felt
𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 (rosy) [𝑴𝑪]
*foot slips*
"Ah- !"
*stumbled forward just as Liam turned, eyes widening.*
𝑳𝒊𝒂𝒎 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒆 [𝑴𝑳]
“Roselyn—!” he tried to steady her, but the moment was too quick.
They tumbled down together, the air knocked from their lungs as Rosy landed on his chest. Her hands braced against him, his arms still instinctively around her waist.
