Hello ! My name is Daniela Jones . I'm 25 years old . I always liked reading comics and novels especially romance and fantasy ones . I know they aren't real , but I still choose to believe in them . Oh , right ! I forgot to say I'm a scientist . I love science , so I chose it as my career . My story started one night while I was sleeping .

" Where am I ? " I asked looking around . It was a place in nothing but white like a cloud .

" This is your dream , dear . " replied a voice . When I turned to look at the source of the voice , it turned out to be a man dressed in white . He was pretty handsome , but in the same time he looked pure and like an angel .

" And who are you ?  "

" I'm an angel . " he replied smiling at me .

" Angel ? "

" Yes . I came to deliver a message from God . "

" Message ? What does god want to tell me ? "

" That your dream came true . "

" What do you mean ? "

" You always wanted to time travel and you had hope even though you know its impossible . God saw your determination , so he decided to give you the ability to travel through time . Also , take it as a little compensation for your twin brother . "

" Brother .... " I felt my vision become blurry and a few tears fell . I quickly wiped them and looked at the angel again . " How ? "

" God made a device especially for you . It can help you with traveling through time and also you can use it to scan anything in your time and it will be in the device's space including malls and stores . When you go to that time , everything will stop . It's like a break in history . When you leave , everything will go back to the moment you appeared and history will continue in it's original route . They can see you and talk with you and you also show them pictures of the modern world , but of course not on a phone . This device can help you make a screen on air . You just have to say what you want to show and move your hands to switch between things . "

" I see . How long can I stay in each time ? "

" A year . "

" Okay . Thank God for me and thank you for passing the message to me . "

I opened my eyes to see myself in my room . I would be lying if i said i wasn't excited , but he reminded me of my brother . When I was 12 years old , I was wondering how a woman could be pregnant with more than one baby if the egg cell can only make one sperm cell enter , so i asked my mother and she told me that when she was pregnant with me , I had a twin with me . But it stopped growing from the 3 month . At first , I didn't care , but then when I imagined my life with an older sibling , I was devastated and especially since he was forgotten . I finally fulfilled my promise to him and became a successful scientist at a young age .

The next 3 days were pretty normal except for me being absent-minded and my boss giving me 2 days off because of it . I was always thinking about the angel's words , was it true or just a dream ? Maybe you're wondering why I didn't tell anyone about the dream and asked for their opinion . I just don't trust anyone completely even my parents , if I tell them a secret , I need to make sure they won't tell anyone a few times until by time I'm sure and the same goes for my friends . Suddenly , an idea struck my mind and I immediately started rummaging through my things .

After 1 hour

" Found it ! " I shouted happily jumping around my apartment . I think you're wondering why I'm excited . I thought that maybe like comics and novels , the device is an object and God already gave it to me , but I didn't notice it and I was right . It's a necklace with a locket pendant , but the problem is that I can't open the locket no matter how many times I try . All of a sudden , the pendant started glowing and a fairy-like creature appeared .

" WHAT ARE YOU ?! " I yelled at the top of my lungs taking a hundred steps backward with my back against the wall .

" Don't be scared . I'm the genie of the pendant , Risa . Like the genie of the lamp , but the only deference is that there's no limit to your wishes and God made me to help you time travel . You can ask about anything you want . " She said smiling . Actually , now that I take a good look at her , she's cute with a small body flying in the air and long blonde hair and green eyes .

" Ok , I guess . I actually have a question . "

" Go ahead . "

" This pendant is a locket one , but I can't open it , why . "

" This is something I can't tell you about , but you'll know by time . "

The 3 choices are King Louis of France , Emperor Hirohito of Japan and lastly Emperor Augustus of Rome . But I recommend going in the order I just gave . Also , I can put information about them in your brain when you're going there . "

" Okay , then we'll follow your order and we'll arrive a year after them taking over the throne , the first day of the year . " I said preparing to go to bed , it's going to be a long day tomorrow .

Risa started chanting a spell , I think , then something like a portal appeared .

" When you go through this portal , you'll be in year 1644 , 1 January , France . Take a deep breath and go in . " Risa said smiling at me reassuring that it's okay .

" Okay . " I take a deep breath , then go in .

Inside the portal was magical . It was as colourful as a rainbow and I felt like I was flying . God's creations are indeed beautiful . After a few seconds , the end of the portal was in site . I took another deep breath before getting out of the portal .

Once I got out of the portal , I saw a beautifully decorated hall with a lot of people on the right and left side of it with 2 people in the middle . I think they're King Louis and his spouse Françoise d'Aubigné . Risa gave me their information in the portal . Judging by the beautifully decorated hall , they must be celebrating something .

" Who are you ?! How did you get in ?! " shouted King Louis .

" You're King Louis , right ? " I asked calmly not scared of him .

" Yes , it's me . Who are you ?! " he answered and repeated his question again .

" Nice to meet you , I'm Daniela from year 2020 . " I replied smiling .

" You think I'll believe that ?! " He shouted again at me clearly not believing me .

" I'm serious and you can see my clothes and I have proof . " I said with serious expression .

" You're clothes is indeed word , but you can make it . Show your proof . " He said calming down a bit , but still glaring at me .

" Of course . You must be tired from traveling , someone take her to her room . " King Louis ordered a maid standing by .

" No need . Technically , I just woke up and traveling didn't take a lot of time . I'm more interested in what you're all celebrating . " I refused still smiling.

" We're celebrating the new year . " King Louis explained .

" Daniela Jones . " I answered while sitting on the chair the maid prepared .

" Nice to meet you , miss Daniela . " he said finally smiling and letting go of the nervousness .

" Someone , prepare food to welcome our guest . " he said ordering the servant next to him .

While waiting for the food , I felt someone staring at me . Looking forward , I saw a man looking at me . He was pretty handsome , but not my type and he's looking at me with lustful eyes . I guess my clothes are revealing that it attracted such a guy . When our eyes met , he winked at me while licking his lips . I just rolled my eyes and looked back at King Louis . Although I felt someone glaring at me , I just ignored it . I know that it's probably a woman who likes that guy and is jealous . A few minutes later , the food arrived while the woman was still glaring at me .

" So Daniela , tell me about yourself . " asked King Louis after eating .

" Name : Daniela Jones . Age : 25 . Job : Scientist . " I answered .

" You work ? " he asked shocked .

" Yes , in my time , both women and men are equal . Women can work and men can also cook and do house chores . " I answered smiling .

" I said while looking at a confused-looking Yimo . All people were confused too . Until my clothes suddenly changed and they were all shocked .

" Now let's start . " I said before she attacked me . I easily dodged it and the punch's and kicks she threw at me too . It stayed like this for a few minutes before I got bored .

" Boring . This game should end now . " I said before grabbing her clothes and throwing her off the ground pinning her down . I learned fighting while I was in college .

" I win this time . Let's start the next one . " Everyone was shocked . I defeated her easily even though she's a general's daughter .

" You win this time , but I won't let it happen again . " she said gritting her teeth and getting up .

" We'll see . " I said getting back inside with all the people , " Risa , towel . " A towel appeared around my neck and I wiped my face and forehead with it , " Take it back . " the towel disappeared .

Inside everyone was seated back the way they were before .

" You start first . Risa , original clothes and hair . " My clothes changed back to what I wore before . Then , Yimo started singing . I have to say her voice is unique and she sings well . But unfortunately for her , her opponent is me . I won a karaoke contest at school .

After she finished , people started clapping praising while saying that I won't win this time . Then , I started singing " To be king again " while closing my eyes . It had high pitches showing my capabilities and it wasn't a new type of song . It can be sang in the ancient times because it was slow and had a meaning . After I finished , I opened my eyes to see them all shocked again . They all started clapping and praising me while Yimo gritted her teeth knowing that I won .

" I won . Next . " I said stretching .
