Episode 1
Somewhere in the dark, three cars stopped in front of a warehouse. A tall handsome man came out from his black Mercedes wearing a black shirt and grey pants. He had a dark aura around him, making anyone gulp in fear. His guards descended from the other two cars. The tall man was none other than Avinash Singh Rathore, the king of Mafia. Every single person who knew his real identity was terrified after seeing him. He went into the warehouse after his guards, taking steps cautiously, making no sound. He hated the sound of footsteps.
Horrific noises came from the warehouse. Avinash went into a room, and a devilish smirk appeared on his face. The room’s walls were filled with bloodstains. The smell of blood mixed with sand made it even more disgraceful.
Avinash stood in front of a man who was tied upside down with chains. His face was covered with blood because of the hard beating by the guards. His body had become unconscious due to heavy blood loss.
Avinash's tall frame covered half of the man as he came near and clutched his hair in a tight grip.
Avinash Singh Rathore(ML)
Open your eyes, bastard... what made you think you had the audacity to call The Avinash Singh Rathore and then try to kill him? You are such a fool. *said in dangerous cold, high tone which echoed through the warehouse.*
The man hissed in pain, but before he could say anything, Avinash beat him with an iron rod, leaving red blood marks on his body. The man was a professional shooter who came to kill him, but due to his bad luck, Avinash got information about him and caught him before he could even leave a scratch on Avinash's body.
Anyone
Please, please don't kill me... *shouted at the top of his lungs, but his voice sounded low in front of Avinash’s rage*
Avinash handed the iron rod to one of his guards, who then gave him a dagger. Avinash placed the dagger near the man's throat and slowly made a cut. It muffled the man's voice.
Avinash Singh Rathore(ML)
Fucking tell me the name. *demanded, giving him a final chance to speak*
Anyone
I... I... don't know... they gave me your information... to kill you... I don't know them... please... let me gooo... *barely managed to speak as the dagger dug deeper, pushed by Avinash*
Avinash Singh Rathore(ML)
Sure, I'll let you go... by your grace. *said with a devilish smirk, then thrust the dagger deep into the man's throat, creating a pool of blood on his face*
A few minutes later, the man died.
A guard gave a cloth to Avinash to clean the blood on his hand. He took it and cleaned his hands, then came outside of the warehouse. The dark night waited for him. He looked at the sky—dark, completely dark, like his life. He got in his car and drove to Rathore Mansion.
He had everything in his life—money, fame, name, a loving family—everything, but something was missing. He felt it, but never said it aloud. Were those feelings about being loved by someone? If yes, Avinash didn't accept it, because for him, love was a prohibited feeling. He had seen his parents’ loving life. They had a love marriage, and their love bloomed with time, growing deeper each day. But Avinash felt he wasn't that lucky to find that kind of selfless love in his own life.
It's hard to find a love that cares about you and not your money. He had seen friends in love—or pretending to be—only because they wanted name, fame, and money. He never wanted a girl who loved him for money. Also, his dark world didn’t allow him to fall in love; it would only become his weakness for enemies to exploit. Every day, a new enemy tried to kill him, but his sharp eyes and wit helped him make the first move and kill their plans before they could rise.
Avinash came to Rathore Mansion at midnight. He called his mother, Radhika, and told her not to wait for him and to sleep on time. When he entered the mansion, darkness welcomed him—as usual. Everyone was sleeping at this time. He went into the kitchen and took his food to his room, which was on the second floor. Almost half of the second floor was booked for Avinash, and no one was allowed in his room and study. The entire Rathore Mansion had a digital security lock, and no one knew the password to his room and study apart from his mother.
He had his food while reading files. He ate half of his dinner and, when exhausted, lay on the bed—soon sleep engulfed him.
It’s Sunday—no office, only family time. That’s a rule made by my mom, Radhika. But I’m the exception here, stuck in the middle of a meeting. Mom called me in the morning for breakfast, but I refused, saying I wasn’t hungry. Still, she sent breakfast to my study. She knows me too well—knows I’m trying to avoid their questions, so I skipped both breakfast and dinner with them.
For the past two years, they’ve been forcing me to get married. But I’m their stubborn child, always refusing. They used to think I had someone in my life, but I made it clear that I didn’t want to get married. After that, they’ve just become even more adamant about trying to get me to agree.
I’m in my study, stuck in a meeting that was supposed to end—but they didn’t agree to my conditions. So I keep them talking, digging into their weaknesses to use as leverage. Yes, it’s wrong, but it feels right for me, so I don’t care.
The meeting finally ended in the afternoon. I stood up from my chair and stretched—my body sore from the lack of sleep over the last few days. I checked my phone: missed calls from Mom and Dad, and a message from Mom:
Radhika Karan Singh Rathore/ML's Mother
✉️ Come to the lounge after your meeting… no more discussion.
Radhika Karan Singh Rathore/ML's Mother
It wasn’t a polite message—it was a warning. I knew I had no choice. If I didn’t go, Mrs. Rathore would “kill” me, and Dad wouldn’t be able to stop her.
I walked into the lounge, where everyone was present—Dadu, Mom, Dad, Abhishek, and Abeer. Dadu and Abhishek were playing chess, Abeer was on his phone, resting his head on Mom’s lap, and Dad was reading the newspaper. I sat beside him on the couch.
Ohho… the great Avinash Singh Rathore graces this poor lounge with his presence! We are so grateful to you, sir. *said sarcastically*
Everyone
*Burst into laughter*
Episode 2
Avinash Singh Rathore(ML)
Mom, why did you say that? I'm only here because I'm busy with work. *said, trying to make my point*
These last few days have been so hectic—work pressure, and then the shooter who’s after me. But I never told Mom about the killer. No one tells her anything about our underworld connections. Only Dad and Abhishek know the full picture and cover for me when I’m unavailable.
Radhika Karan Singh Rathore/ML's Mother
Yes, yes, I know your hectic work schedule. You might be managing all the business perfectly, but what about your health? You haven’t been eating properly these past few days. I’ve decided—you have to get married. *declared, throwing her hands in the air for dramatic effect*
Vijay Singh Rathore/ML's Grandfather
Yes, beta, Radhika is right. Your health is more important than any other work. *added while still playing chess*
I glanced in their direction and noticed both of them trying to stifle a laugh. Something was definitely off.
Radhika Karan Singh Rathore/ML's Mother
That’s it. I’m tired of taking care of you. It’s high time you get married—and that’s final. *said while clearly reaching the height of her drama*
And here it was—the daily bomb that explodes in this house. Why is everyone so desperate to convince me to get married?
Avinash Singh Rathore(ML)
Mom, I'm taking very good care of myself, but please—no more talk about weddings. *said to her, hoping to steer the conversation away. But it was clear no one was listening*
I looked at Dad, thinking he might help me. He was pretending to be absorbed in the newspaper, but I knew he was listening to everything.
Abeer Singh Rathore/ML's Younger Brother
Yes Bhai, Mom is right. Why can’t you bring home a beautiful Bhabhi? It’s not that hard. *said while sliding off Mom’s lap*
I shot him my deadliest glare, and he turned to Dad with a pout.
Abeer Singh Rathore/ML's Younger Brother
Dad, look! Bhai is scaring me! *said with a pout*
Dad looked at him and raised an eyebrow. Abeer responded with a dramatic puppy face. With a huff, Dad folded the newspaper and set it aside, turning to me.
Karan Singh Rathore/ML's Father
You better stop giving that death glare here.
Avinash Singh Rathore(ML)
Dad, he’s not a kid anymore. And instead of grilling me about getting married, why don’t you talk to Abhi about his wedding. *said while hoping to escape the topic forever*
Abhishek, engrossed in the chess game, leaned on the armrest. But the moment he heard my words, his elbow slipped, and he nearly fell off his seat.
Avinash Singh Rathore(ML)
No... never. I’d rather stay single *said while laughing nervously* And don’t dump this wedding bill on me—it’s your turn!
I knew it was a lie—he had a girlfriend he loved deeply but never spoke about. Maybe it was better that way. At least he found his love. I wasn’t that lucky.
Karan Singh Rathore/ML's Father
Listen, Avi, we're not forcing you. *said firmly*
Karan Singh Rathore/ML's Father
Your opinion matters the most, and the final decision will always be yours. *spoke with determination, settling his arm on the couch armrest and crossing his legs comfortably before continuing*
With that, Dad placed a photo of the girl on the table. Dadu, Abhi, and Abeer all gathered around us. Dadu looked unusually excited—you'd never guess he was once the king of the mafia a few years ago.
But what shocked me the most was Dad. He never really tried to convince me to get married before. Yet today, not only was he trying to convince me—he had brought an actual proposal.
Vijay Singh Rathore/ML's Grandfather
Who is this girl, Karan? *asked while examining the photo closely*
Karan Singh Rathore/ML's Father
She’s Aarushi Sharma. A student. I know her father. *said patiently, though his face told a different story*
He was a man of few words, and I could sense he was holding something back.
Did I care enough to ask more? Not really. I didn’t want this proposal. But the fact that Dad brought it up himself—that made things feel different.
Dadu simply hummed, still staring at the photo intently.
Before I could even examine the photo properly, Abeer, sitting beside Dadu, grabbed it in his hands, stood up dramatically in the middle of the lounge
Abeer Singh Rathore/ML's Younger Brother
*Exclaimed loudly and said* Dad, I know her! She's in my college. Bhai, if you're going to marry her, you're definitely going to break a lot of hearts.
Radhika Karan Singh Rathore/ML's Mother
Did you know her? Did you talk to her, Abeer? *asked, now genuinely interested*
I rolled my eyes, already feeling irritated.
Abeer Singh Rathore/ML's Younger Brother
Everyone knows her. She’s the topper.
Abeer Singh Rathore/ML's Younger Brother
But no, I never talked to her. She only talks to her friends and is usually in the library or class. So...*said the words which made his Mom’s face fall with disappointment because Clearly, she wanted to know more*
Abhishek Singh Rathore/ML's Younger Brot
Not everyone goes to college just for fun like you. *teased and snatching the photo and sitting down beside Mom*
They both examined the photo. Mom’s eyes lit up immediately, and a wide smile spread across her face.
Radhika Karan Singh Rathore/ML's Mother
I like this girl... *said while turning to me*
Avi beta, you have to marry her. She’s so beautiful—just like I always imagined my daughter-in-law to be.
That was it. The tipping point of my irritation.
Everyone was already saying yes to this girl like it was some kind of unanimous decision. Why did I even come downstairs? I should’ve just stayed in my room and studied. But now that I was here, I had to deal with all of it.
