"Grandma I've bought what we need" I shouted as I walked into the restaurant me and my grandma owns I had four shopping bags hung on my limbs" grandma I'm back" it was 6:30am in the morning and the door to the restaurant was opened for customers, Lisa's diner restaurant was boldly written their this place was located beside a school, so it was more advantageous for us as students passed here almost every time and branch here to get some food.

" Sorry dear I was cleaning the tables" grandma said as she walked towards me to help with the bags, I dropped it on the floor and folded my hands "grandma I told you not to do that, where are the rest, aren't they here yet what's wrong with them" I said with a slight frown" they aren't here yet and remember it rained yesterday, so there might a bit of traffic on their way here" my grandma defended" fine I'll let them go this time, grandma where's Emma?" The door of the restaurant opened a sign of an incoming customer, It was the first time a customer came this early, I quickly picked up the menu, walked towards the customer who just sat down" Good morning, what can I get you......" words trailed off my mouth my brain was too stunned to think, this guy.....his face looked like it was carved by an ancient god, neatly combed black hair,fair skin,gray eyes straight nose,perfect jawline, God .... although I've seen countless handsome men but not like this man over here .....this is the first guy I closely looked at.

Before I knew it I was gripped by my wrist, she held it in her small hand and took me to her grandmother, this action brought something to my mind it felt like I was taken to her grandmother to ask for permission to get married

" Perfect, grandma someone's here for a job" her sweet voice filled my ears, we were now in front of her grandmother, I stood there like a statue looking at her throughout her conversation with her grandmother, she looked at me and asked" are you sure you're a good cook"...

Cook...." yes" I replied blindly still staring at her" ok, come back tomorrow for the job" she smiled at me" ok" I replied then walked towards the exit of the restaurant, before I stepped out I looked back at her again.... summer...

The workers here were mostly college students while some were those who are already graduated from school, we also have part-time workers

Also for the info, I am a drop out culinary arts student, the expense for school was a burden for my grandmother who takes care of us since my parents died, on the day I decided to drop out after seeing my grandma being trouble by the expenses, she cried and begged me not to do so my parents had always wished for me to be a great cook, so my grandma didn't want me to drop out, I had to do that, so my sister can go to school, my grandma was stubborn and decided she would not agree to my decision, she was heartbroken, but she knew there was no way out of our situation than this, but there's a secret she and Emma doesn't know about the one that had living a better live than before.
