Vanessa was sitting outside the interview room. She was nervously waiting for it to begin. There were four more girls except her who had passed for the last round of interview. She was called for the interview after everyone.

The interviewer asked some questions and she answered all of them. Her interview finished faster than expected. The result will be out after a day. The selected person will be sent an email, so after the interview everyone left.

Vanessa wasn't in need of a job actually. She originally was a model. While modelling she kept her face hidden in a mask, only her lips and chin were opened. But the friend whom she worked for urged her to take up another job to make use of her time. And so Vanessa agreed reluctantly.

The next day

Vanessa checked her laptop only to see about the interview result. She didn't have any hopes for it. She opened the mail half heartedly. But surprisingly she was selected. She didn't believe her eyes, she quickly dialled the number given on the mail. A woman answered, "Hello this is the Knight Company Reception. How may I help you? " Vanessa calmed herself and asked, "Can you please confirm the result of yesterday's interview for the CEO's secretary position? " The secretary replied, "Please wait for a minute ma'am.......... Ma'am the position is assigned to Ms. Vanessa. " Vanessa hastily replied, "Ohh okay. Thank you. " She hung up the call.

She directly called Leo. He took the call almost instantly, "What's the result? Are you selected? " Vanessa smiled hearing his voice, "Guess what? I am selected! " Leo was happy, "Well you owe me a meal now don't you? "

Vanessa said, "Okay Mr. I will treat you tonight. Come and pick me up today. The place will be your pick. " Leo hummed, "Okay. Now I am hanging up need to work" He hung the phone.

At night

Leo came to her house and rang the door bell.

Vanessa was ready so she opened the door and came out directly. Seeing her Leo extended his right hand dramatically as if saying her to put her left arm around it.

Vanessa played along and they both laughed.

She said, "You and your drama. Whatever. Let's go. " He smiled looking at her, "Okay my Princess. Anything you say. " They both laughed once again.

The dinner was a happy one. Leo and Vanessa were childhood friends. Leo was gay and so he and Vanessa didn't have any problem with such intimate actions. Vanessa knew about this. Both of them had one more common friend. Vanessa lost contact with him but Leo met him suddenly before few years and reestablished their friendship.

After the dinner Leo left Vanessa at her house and went back. Vanessa quickly freshened up and went to sleep. Tomorrow was her first day to work and she didn't want to be late on her first day. She switched off the lights and went to sleep. Tomorrow was her first day at her new job and she was excited.

Vanessa got up early and took a shower. She wore a light blue shirt with a white colour knee length pencil skirt. She tied her hair in a high ponytail. She choose a off white colour high heel to go with her dress.

She ate her breakfast and took her car to go for work. She reached the office on time and went to the topmost floor. A woman gave her the paper for her work joining ans she signed it. The woman introduced herself, "Hello i am Alice and I will be helping you. I am the hear of the PR department of the company but I will be helping you. There are some rules which you will follow. " Vanessa smiled at her, "Nice to meet you Alice. I am Vanessa. Hope we can be friends in the future. " Alice also smiled at her, "We will be great friends I feel. But first things first. About the rules, you need to do your job on your own. The file will be given to you. And you will not be having any interactions with the CEO. If you need to deliver him something just call me I will be going for it. And avoid meeting the CEO and don't make mistakes. I don't know why but the CEO doesn't want his secretary to have any interactions with him. He said that he will do his job and you will do yours. That's all."

Vanessa found the rules awkward but didn't show it on her face, "The rules are peculiar but I don't mind. It's alright. Just show me my work place please. " Alice gave her a tour around the company and showed her the cabin in which she will be working. Then Alice handed her the file in which her works were noted. Vanessa took it and went inside her office. From child hood Vanessa was very meticulous in each task she did. After reading the file she felt the job was easy. Previously in her childhood she had seen her father's secretary do these things and even at that small age she did them sometimes. Vanessa snapped back from her childhood and focused on her job.

In the CEO's office

Alice knocked on the door and came in, "I have informed your secretary about her work Sir. She will start from today onwards. "

He replied, "Okay.And I hope she doesn't have any problems with the rules. Well even if she has she is helpless. Whatever. You may leave. " Alice bowed slightly and left.

Vanessa was doing quite well on her first day. Whenever any file was given to her she completed it and gave it to Alice to submit it to the CEO. Alice was happy with Vanessa's performance. She remembered the time of his coffee and his snacks. She prepared them and gave them to Alice. Finally her first day of work was over. Vanessa packed her things and told Alice that she was off work. Then she left.

Alice went to the CEO's office and reported everything then she also left.

The man in the office was still there, "Today you have performed well as my secretary. Let's see in the future. One mistake and you will know hardships. " He stood up and left his office.

The first day was easy and went peacefully. But who knew if the future will be the same?

Vanessa was doing her work perfectly. The office workers apart from her who were working with her as her colleagues often praised her. She only thanked them in response. Her first month was very peaceful. When she got her salary she wanted to treat her colleagues to dinner. She also informed Alice to invite the CEO if he wished to come. She didn't want to be known as rude by others by not calling her boss. But he didn't come. When he was informed of this he thought that she was trying to get close to him in this manner. So he didn't go.

And after that Vanessa never invited him in any other occasion which she prepared for her office colleagues.

Her first year went smoothly without any problems. But on her second year of work they had encountered a bad situation with another company. The other company wanted to withdraw their investment within any reason. And this would have caused Vanessa's side to face a huge loss. Naturally her boss instructed her to save this project no matter what. When Vanessa scheduled a meeting with them her boss refused to meet with them and Vanessa had to go instead of him. The other company was surprised to see Vanessa attending the meeting. The CEO of that company Luke was stunned to see her. He knew that she was the famous model who did her job while wearing a mask and so she was extremely popular. So Luke said Vanessa that he would only co-operate with them when Vanessa would agree to be it's leading model.

She didn't turn him down and agreed to do this work. Luke also befriended Vanessa as he thought that she was very nice and capable. The project was saved but Vanessa didn't inform her boss about the deal which she had with Luke. And so her boss thought that it might be because of him that the other company agreed. Vanessa didn't mind it but in her heart she labelled him as 'Narcissist'.

After the cooperation with Luke many companies tried to co-operate with them and the reason was Vanessa. But this was all unknown to the CEO.

More three years passed. Vanessa handled her modelling career and her secretary job perfectly. There was no way anyone could have complained about her working life.

Her image in the mind of her boss the CEO also improved.

These four years were truly fulfilling for Vanessa. She didn't have time for her and so she wanted to quit her job as a model and only do her job as a secretary. But she didn't officially announce this yet. She wanted to do that after a few more months. She thought that she will do a normal daily job like everyone else and settle in the future which was far away. She already planned her future without being a model. But she didn't know that she would lose her job soon and that also was due to an insignificant reason.
