The Three Factions divided these divine lands. The struggle for power turned the most sane and beautiful creatures into ugly, power thirsty monsters. The top was undecided, but the bottom was clear. The Witch faction held the bottom and the weakest position of the Three Factions. The Witch Faction used to be at the top, and thrived in that position, until the other two Factions decided that the Witches were too powerful and needed to be stopped. Both of the Factions against the Witch's Factions, concluded to put bounties on their heads. By not getting their hands dirty, and allowing peasants to collect rewards for the witches lives brought an ugly new era upon them. By the sudden event and the betrayal of their own kind, this led to the downfall of the Witch Faction. 100 years later, no more witches were found, or left to be hunted. That's what the two Factions that were left, believed.
50 years after the Witches went "extinct", the two Factions left waged war against each other to be on top. Spilled, rotten blood, spoiled between the two Factions. These two Factions were none other than the Werewolf Faction and the Vampire Faction.
But this is no history book, this is a story of how one hybrid disgrace, brought the remaining and hidden Factions together, but no story starts with a happy beginning, Ivy's was no exception.
Ivy's life was doomed before it even began, starting with her parents mistakes. The Alpha of Crimson Blood Pack, had an affair with a Vampire war slave behind his mates back. The man was grieved knowing that his mate couldn't conceive children, making him think any woman would do to give him an heir, since he hated the idea of not having a hereditary heir. He was blinded by anxiety to even realize what would happen with the woman he chose upon. Or the child for that matter.
When the Alpha's mate caught wind of what was happening behind her back, she made a plan. She took the woman from her husbands sleeping chamber, and abandoned her in rogue territory on her way to the market. the slave understood the woman's wishes. With the Madam threatening her never to come back, even with child, the Vampire scattered into the forest, to not be seen again.
Nine months later, the baby girl was born out of wedlock. The mother looked at the baby for the first time, disgust, pain, and blood lust evident in her face. She screamed and wailed at the nurses, telling them to just kill the baby of her harasser. No one made a move. All eyes on the baby, either disgust, pity, or calculative looks on their faces. No one tried to hide their emotions, the only emotion lacking was love.
Only a month in, the mother couldn't stand the constant neediness in her daughter, or the crying she would get when she was left alone in the house for hours to days alone. She finally had enough. She beat the baby into submission, but the baby never cried from the beating, she never flinched at the belt wailing her back, or the foot jabbing or stepping on her side. She cried because she could already tell her mother hated her at such a young age, for a reason she didn't know.
After the baby grew up to be two years old, barely able to manage by herself, the mother decided to end this. She thought the only way to find happiness and her mate was to get rid of the obstacle and last memory of her most painful memories.
She grabbed the baby girl, storming out of the house with anger and relief evident in her eyes, throwing the girl into the back seat of her car, and started to drive.
No one spoke, but Ivy could feel the terrible event that was soon to happen. She knew it was either escape, or get killed. She knew she couldn't die yet, even if she loved her mother, she valued her own life over her mother's hatred for her.
Ivy was smart, too smart for her age. She had already awoken her vampire side, she knew what the voice told her. Only needing to know how to survive these two years was how she managed herself. What her demon told her. She stalked toward her mother who had the radio blasting, quietly moving closer, like the hunter does to it's prey. She decided it was kill or be killed, she picked the latter.
Her deep electric blue eyes bleed into a blood thirsty red. With a flick of her wrist, she had her mothers blood squirted on the window shield. Her mother turned her head, gagging on her blood, looking at her blood thirsty daughters eyes in shock. She tried reaching out, just a little farther to grab her daughters throat, but her daughter was quicker.
She grabbed the wooden bamboo brush that was lazily thrown to the right of the car seat, snapping the handle off, and plunging it deep into her mothers heart. Tears were pouring out of her mothers eyes as the last thing she saw was her daughter smiling like an angel, the first smile she ever saw a smile on her daughters face, was also her last, right before the car crashed into a truck that was driving on the other side of the lane.
All Ivy could hear was the overwhelming ringing in her ears. She tried moving, but it came to her that her right leg was twisted in an awkward way. She ignored the bone shattering pain, staying emotionless as a doll.
She punched the glass on the left side door, hard enough so it shattered easily, causing her freedom and bleeding knuckles. She used her demons strength to crawl out of the crushed car, and into the forest on the sideline. She could feel this territory didn't belong to anyone, but there were some faint smells here and there, showing signs of rogues in the area.
She limped her way down the steep hill, but keeping her balance was too hard, and she tumbled down the hill. She tried grabbing onto a rock or a branch here and there as she plummeted further down, but she couldn't hold a grip on anything. She landed hard at the bottom of the hill, smashing the back of her skull on the round boulder lying at the bottom of the cliff.
Her expressionless eyes now hold haziness, at the sudden impact on her head. She was seeing blurry dots covering her vision, until the darkness swallowed her whole.
Fourteen years later. A young lady was standing in front of a grave, dying white flowers in her hand as she laid them down gently on the dirt in front of the tomb. A single tear slid down her left cheek.
"Ivy, hurry up, the soldiers are coming!" The silent girl turned around looking at the man who called her. His name was Alex. He is the only living descendant of her savior. He had light brown hair, that gently blown in the wind, moss green eyes, and had perfect sharp features. He would be a perfect mate, but was more of an older brother to her.
The girl named Ivy returned to her senses. Screaming could be heard, moving closer to her position. Thudding foot steps pound toward her, and the scent of blood mixed with sweat and dirt rode the wind and invaded her nostril.
The girl was not lacking compared to Alex. She had bright, but deep electric blues eyes, and white wavy hair, hanging to her ankles. She followed Alex, glancing back only once, looking at the grave of her forever beloved savior, knowing she won't ever see it again.
Chaos was circling around the two, both knowing their time was running out if they couldn't get out of their homelands soon. The familiar buildings of their beloved town, burning and crumbling down in a spreading fire. Their friendly neighbors, that would always greet the two happily each morning, were now laying cold on the ground, blood leaking out of their bodies. Ivy knew she couldn't grieve them right now, for she knows she won't able to escape if she does.
She grabbed Alex's hand, rushing into the next street. A vampire tried jumping on them, as they dodged, he started chasing after another girl with blood heavily dripping down her wound on her arm. She was the bakers daughter, Amelia, a werewolf.
The Vampire Faction was moving South towards the Werewolf Faction. This was one of their feeding stops. They didn't want to bring any blood slaves with them since it would slow them down, so they picked small villages like Ivy's to feed their troops. Even kidnapping some for on the road instead of giving them a quick but painful death.
Ivy's wolf was guiding them to safety, while the two tried their best to escape. Ivy was emotionless once again, as they turned to go to the main street. The scene was gruesome. Bodies everywhere, vampires on top of the young and old, draining them of their blood until they became deathly pale and lifeless. The buildings were lit on fire as the ashes fell down to the blood soaked ground. Smoke rising to the sky, covering the blue sky and warm sun.
The two had to make it through main street, or the two wouldn't be able to make it to the forest and escape. The two were frozen from this nightmarish scene, only until Ivy spoke up first. Ivy rarely spoke, she refused to speak to strangers, but would talk to her savior and Alex occasionally.
"You run, i'll guard." With those four words, Alex understood what she meant. He knew if the two were going to make it out alive and together, then he would have to let Ivy protect them both, knowing he couldn't handle using his magic too much.
Just like that, the two sprinted across the street, catching the attention of many vampires while doing so. The first, and closest one charged at Ivy legs. She kicked his throat using half her werewolf strength, causing his head to go flying from his body. The second vampire thought it was pure luck, along with the others, and charged for Alex's neck. Alex flinched as Ivy was by his side before the snap of her finger, and had the vampire by his neck, snapping it. His body fell to the ground, limp.
The others were shocked, they could tell she was powerful, they thought she was a high class werewolf, so the remaining ones chasing after her disappeared in seconds. She was still expressionless as she made it into the forest.
Once they made it into the safe haven of the forest, the screams quieted down. Ivy was honestly suprised at how weak these "Vampire fighters" were. But Ivy couldn't have her mind wonder on needless thoughts, she needs to get Alex out of here. Ivy shifted into her all white werewolf, allowing Alex on her back and started running as fast as she could, weaving through the trees. Ivy knew they would travel one hundred times faster in her wolf form, so she changed even though she hated her werewolf's fur. The color showing the highest purity in being Alpha material. It was disgusting to her.
