I'm Elfina Grey a normal looking highschooler who studies in Amsterdam High. But there's a secret I hold within that nobody knows accept my mom. I can see the invisible, the spirit world that exists like thin air among the earthly atmosphere. I inherited this power from my mom who use to communicate with the spirit world.

Railey(mom) - Elfy!!! you're almost late for school be quick!!

Elfina - Yes mom! I'm coming!!

( she runs downstairs in a hurry)

Railey(mom) - Don't tell me that you're skipping your breakfast?

Elfina - No way I'm skipping my breakfast I can skip school but not my breakfast Hehehhehe!

Railey(mom) - I knew it now hurry up!

Elfina - Yepp (goes to school)

( It's break time and all the students go to the canteen to have their lunch. Elfina sits on a table with her other two bestfriends Georgina and Kris)

Georgina - Bahh I'm so bored I don't wanna study for the upcoming test I'm so done with these people !!!!

Kris - But we have to study half of our grades depend on it. This time we have to study and get good scores!

Elfina - Come on don't bore us with this study talk. Do you even remember what happened last time when we decided to do group study at Georgina's house. We just opened the books and then we started playing video games!

Georgina - I wanna do something fun. I'm bored of this shit.

Elfina - I have an idea! we should try using a ouija board and communicate with spirits that will be fun!

Kris - The heck! are you out of your mind? a ouija board? I'm not doing it!

Georgina - Come on don't be such a coward !

Kris - I said I'm not doing it ! I'd rather study than to do something stupid like this!

Elfina - It's fine Georgina let her be. Tonight let's meet at 10 pm on the bridge near our school.

Georgina - But where will we play the ouija board? there's no haunted location in our town.

Elfina - That's why we will do it in our school.

Georgina - Like breaking in?!

Elfina - Yes! I know a path to enter our school at night. The storeroom window is broken we can enter from there using a ladder which is kept near the football court!

Georgina - We can do it in the music room.

Elfina - The one which is roumered to be haunted ?

Georgina - Yes, it's said that a student from our school committed suicide over there!

Elfina - So the location is fixed. I'm excited for tonight!!

Georgina - Yes!!

( It's 10 pm at night and Elfina sneaks out of her room's window. Georgina is waiting for her at the bridge with a flashlight and a few candles and a lighter)

[ At the bridge]

Georgina - You brought the board?

Elfina - Yes! what about you? did you bring the candles?

Georgina - Yes now let's go!

( They jump the school gate and head for the football court)

Elfina - We have to be super quite when we enter the storeroom or else the guard will hear us and we'll get caught!

Georgina - Alright ( grabs the ladder)

( They tip toe to the broken window and enter the school building)

Georgina - Do you have the keys?

Elfina - No we have to find them in the principle's office.

Georgina - What!

Elfina - Let's not waste time.

Georgina - Damn! this is a completely new experience.

( They go to the principle's office and the door was already open. Elfina found it suspicious but decided not to think about it)

Georgina - The door is already open?

Elfina - yes, anyways! let's search in the drawers.

( After searching for a while Georgina finds the keys and they both head to the music room with great excitement. Elfina sets up the board and places four candles on each of tge corner of the board and lights them. She tells Georgina to sit across her and Elfina closes her eyes)

Elfina - ( chanting something)

Georgina - Elfina! Elfina!

Elfina - shhh ( continues chanting)

( The room was lit dimly and the only source of light were the candles which gave a dim yellow glow on the walls. The empty desks formed unkown shadows on the walls. They looked as if there are living people present in the room. )

Elfina - Are you here? Are you here?

Georgina - Are you here?

( The warm room suddenly becomes cold sending sudden chills down their spines. A drop of sweat runs over Georgina's neck to her back giving her goosebumps)

Elfina - Are you here with us in this room?

( The triangle shaped tool moves to one corner of the board where it was written "YES")

Georgina - It's here!

Elfina - will you harm us?

( the tool moves towards "No")

Suddenly a there was a loud thud on the door. Georgina freaked out )

Georgina - Ah what was that?!

Elfina - Stay calm!

Georgina - I'm done Elfina please stop this!

Elfina - But we have just started.

Georgina - I don't want to do this anymore! The spirit will kill us!

Elfina - No it won't! It still haven't answered our question!

( another loud thud on the door startled Georgina )

Georgina - well now you have your answer! didn't you hear the thud?!

Elfina - Please wait for a few minutes!

Georgina - No way I'm going!

( Georgina gets up in a haste and in a hurry she kicks the ouijia board aside and runs to the door)

Georgina - Ahhh the door is locked!!!!

( Georgina tries opening the door but it's locked. She starts screaming and kicking the door)

Elfina - Georgina wait! we can't leave this in the middle or else the spirit will get trapped in our world !

Georgina - Why the heck are you worried about the spirit! we are going to die!!

Elfina - ( Goes to Georgina and grabs her arm trying to stop her) Wait we can't leave this!

Georgina - I don't care if the spirit get's stuck in our world or something. All I know is that we are locked in this room with a stupid ghost! ( she pushes Elfina)

( Elfina falls down near the ouija board )

Elfina - Ouch! ( The tool starts moving) huh? what's happening?

( the tool starts moving trying to spell something)

Elfina - " H"...." E"....."L"...."P" ? Help? the spirit is asking for help?

( She then suddenly feels a strange presence near her ear. like someone was breathing near her neck. The breath was ice cold which sent her shivers.)

?? - ( faint whisper) Help...me....

Elfina - Huh?

( Suddenly the door opens from the outside)

Elfina - Principal Williams?!

Principal - What are you doing in the school premises at this hour?! Go home right now and meet me in my office tommorow with your mom Ms.Grey !!

Elfina - Looks like we got caught Georgina!

Georgina? ( Georgina was layingon the floor unconscious) GEORGINA!!!

[ The next day]

Georgina was absent today as she fainted yesterday night and got a fever.

(in principle's office)

Principal - This kind of act was nkt expected from you Ms.Grey! You are one of our school toppers how can you even think something like this!

Railey(mom) - Apologize Elfina right now!

Elfina - I'm really sorry principal Williams I won't do it again...

Principal - Since you are one of our top students I'm not suspending you instead you'll have to clean the school washroom alone during break time!

Elfina - ok....

( outside the principle's office)

Kris - Elfina what happened?

Elfina - we got caught yesterday night and Georgina passed out due to fear and got herself a fever.

Kris - I knew it was a bad idea!

Elfina - Hmmm

Kris - what are you thinking?

Elfina - I think that the principle already knew about our plan...

Kris - According to you someone already informedthe principal about it?

Elfina - yes..

Kris - What made you think like that?

Elfina - When we went to the principle's office to get the keys the door was already open.

Kris - The principle wanted to catch you guys red handed. Is it?

Elfina - Maybe...

Kris - Anyways don't think about it that much whoever told the principle is probably your enemy let it be.

 Elfina - Enemy? you mean Mark?

Kris - Not Mark! I mean...I mean Mark didn't even knew about it!

Mark - Hey you stubby legs! haha how do you feel after getting caught!!

Elfina - Did you tell the principle about it !?

Mark - I've got no time to deal with this shit I've got plenty of work to do!

Elfina - Hey come back over here you arrogant brat!

( in mind : hmm what was that whisper that I heard in the room)

Elfina - I highly doubt that it was Mark!

Kris - No! I mean.. no it can't be Mark no one else knew about your plan except me and Georgina.

Elfina - Fine leave it...

( A few days pass by and Elfina still wonders about the strange whisper. One day she decides to visit the music room again but alone)

[ Outside the music room ]

Elfina - This time I decided to visit the room again but I'll be alone this time. I didn't even tell Kris and Georgina about it or else they will get in trouble too like the last time!

( She is holding a weird but magnificent locket in her hands which will protect her from spirits. If any ghost comes in contact with the locket the ghost will wither away and it's spirit will get trapped inside it forever.)

Elfina - ( Chants something and sits quietly on the floor with her eyes closed) Hmmm is there even a spirit in here cause my chantings aren't working.

( She goes to the door in order to exit the room. She is quite disappointed as the spirit does not appear in front of her and thinks that it was just her mind game the last time when she heard the whisper. As soon as she tries to leave the room a faint whisper is heard again.)

?? - Please help me....

Elfina - Huh? what was that (smiles) so it was not my mind game! It's here the spirit is here!!

( In the corner of the room she sees a boy who was around her age. He was kind of pale but not scary instead the spirit was quite handsome with black hair just like the night sky and eyes as dark as the oak trees with a chestnut glaze on them.)

?? - Aren't you scared to see me like this?

Elfina - No I'm actually excited

that I am able to communicate with spirits just like my mom! I've never experienced such a thing before!!!

?? - What?! well....that's nice cause I need your help!

Elfina - That's fine but why do you look so young are you the spirit of the boy who committed suicide?

?? - About that well ! Nothing like this ever happened !

Elfina - What do you mean?

?? - yes the whole suicide news.

Elfina - Anyways what's your name and what's your story? why are you so desperate for help from a human?

?? - Take it easy little human! don't annoy me with your questions I will answer all of them but first keep that thing away from me! gosh it will trap me in inside it!

Elfina - The locket?

?? - Jeez ofcourse the LOCKET !! this way you'll trap me inside it! You humans never understand a thing!

Elfina - Seriously dude you were once a human too. ( keeps the locket away)

?? - Ummm anyways back to your questions!

Elfina - Yeah! first of all your name! then your past!

Karl - I'm Karl Woods. I was once a student in this school.

Elfina - well aren't you my age?

Karl - No absolutely not ! I'm 20 now!

Elfina - Umm so what was your age when you died? your death seems quite recent.

Karl - Not recent ! Aren't you the school topper!!

Elfina - How do you know ?

Karl - Come on I roam the school halls at night daily.

Elfina - Wow I'm famous among spirits too heehehhehe

Karl - come on now calculate!

Elfina - I'm not doing that I'm too lazy for it.

Karl - Ughhh let it be. I was once a topper too just like you.

Elfina - were you?

Karl - yes! I was the best student of this school.

Elfina - so why did you commit suicide?

Karl - I told you earlier that I didn't commit suicide!!

Elfina - so what exactly happened!

Karl - I was MURDERED!

Elfina - what!! someone murdered you?
