Prologue
Ahana, a talented and ambitious fashion student, dreams of making a name for herself in the fashion industry. Her stepfather, however, has other plans. He pressures her into an arranged marriage with Rehan, a charismatic but irresponsible playboy who is more interested in parties and socializing than settling down. Despite her initial resistance, Ahana feels trapped by her family's expectations and reluctantly agrees to the marriage.
Initially, she feels uncertain about their union but soon discovers a deep connection with Rehan. He supports her ambitions, encouraging her to pursue her dreams in fashion while also providing emotional stability. Anant, Rehan's father, is a kind and understanding figure who treats Ahana as his own daughter, further enhancing her sense of belonging.
As Ahana settles into her new life, she finds comfort in the warmth of her family dynamics. Rehan's playful nature and Anant's wisdom create a nurturing environment where Ahana flourishes both personally and creatively. She begins to gain recognition for her designs, feeling grateful for the love and support surrounding her.
Just as Ahana starts to believe that her life is perfect, a subtle change in Rehan’s behavior begins to surface. He becomes distant, preoccupied with his own interests and social life, often neglecting their time together. Ahana initially brushes it off, thinking it’s just a phase, but the distance grows more pronounced. As Rehan withdraws emotionally, Ahana starts to feel unappreciated and lonely
Struggling with the shift, Ahana's passion for her career begins to wane. The joy she once found in designing starts to fade as she feels increasingly disconnected from Rehan. She questions whether the love they shared was genuine or if it was merely a façade. This internal conflict leads her to doubt her talents and aspirations, causing her to put her dreams on hold.
Waiting for him
Rehan was busy with his work. For many days, he used to get late from his work. Still Ahana used to wait for him without sleeping on her preferred time.
While Anant was going to the kitchen he saw Ahana waiting for Rehan in the living room.
Anant
Ahana, daily Rehan tells you to sleep. Still you wait for him.
Ahana
Father-in-law, actually I'm unable to sleep. Hence, I'm waiting for him.
Anant
You are unable to sleep because you were waiting for him since he's been coming late. So you better go and sleep.
Ahana
I'm alright father-in-law.
Anant
Okay then, good night.
Ahana did lie to Anant regarding her dinner. She didn't eat anything. As she wanted to eat with Rehan.
After half an hour Rehan came home.
Rehan
Hey my love. (Kisses her in passion)
Ahana
I thought you'll be more late.
Rehan
Yes it's because I wanted to come early for you.
Ahana
But I wish you would come earlier than this.
Rehan
I'll try to come earlier than this.
Rehan
You go in the bedroom. I'll go and freshen up.
Ahana
I'll be in the kitchen. You come there for dinner.
Feels lonely
Rehan
The food looks tasty.
Ahana
Yes because I've cooked it for you.
Rehan
Ahana, I know you never listen to me. But please focus on yourself the most. You are also a working woman. So make sure to take a rest.
Ahana
I do rest daily. You know I don't be at my work for longer time like you.
They get lovey-dovey in the kitchen.
Anant was unable to sleep. So he went to check if Ahana went to sleep or was still waiting for Rehan.
When he went into the living room, he didn't find Ahana.
He heard the voice coming from the kitchen where they are spending the romantic time together.
Anant used to feel lonely every night. He used to get a little jealous of couples. As he was left alone by his wife. As she got married to someone else.
