"His Control, My Curse"
Chapter 1
Introduction: In a world where power is absolute and control is everything, two souls, damaged and broken by their pasts, are about to collide in a way neither could have predicted
The night was thick with tension, the air charged with unspoken promises. A figure walked into the room, a shadow among the restless. They were a presence that demanded attention, without saying a word. The others in the room shifted, unease rippling through the group as the figure took their seat at the far end of the long table. Eyes flickered nervously, whispers stilled.
The meeting began, but it wasn’t the business at hand that kept everyone on edge—it was the silent weight of power that radiated from the stranger. Every move, every glance felt calculated, like a predator waiting to strike. There was something magnetic about them, a dark force that pulled at the very core of anyone in their vicinity
The room was filled with danger, but it was the danger that drew the most attention. For those who had seen power like this before, they knew this was not the kind of control that could be bought with money. This was the kind of control that took years of manipulation, sacrifice, and the art of breaking others down until nothing remained but obedience.
The woman in the room, though, didn’t know who the figure was—or perhaps, she didn’t care. Furthermore, she wasn’t like the others, terrified of losing themselves in the wake of this person’s cold stare. Likewise, she was different. She wasn’t intimidated. She had fought too hard to get where she was to let anyone walk all over her, especially not someone who shrouded themselves in mystery.
But she couldn’t shake the feeling. There was something about the way they watched her—like they were measuring her every move, weighing her resistance. It was a challenge, an unspoken game, and for the first time, her instinct screamed that she might have just walked into a trap of her own making
As the meeting ended, the figure rose, their movements predatory and deliberate. They didn’t speak to anyone, didn’t make their presence known in any way other than the silent command that followed them wherever they went. But they made sure their gaze lingered on her. It wasn’t a glance of admiration, but one of calculation. They saw something in her—something they could exploit. And it would begin tonight
Her pulse quickened, her mind racing as they walked past her, brushing against the edge of her senses. She tried to ignore the chill creeping up her spine, the weight of their proximity, the feeling of being marked without permission.
The world outside was chaotic, the night loud with the hum of city life, but for her, it was as though the world had come to a standstill. She could not escape them. No matter how far she ran, no matter how hard she tried to bury the need to stay in control, they would always be there, watching, waiting
And as the door clicked shut behind them, the promise was made—she would be his to break, to control, or to lose forever

Chapter 2
The smell of grease and burnt toast clung to my skin no matter how many times I scrubbed. Another double shift. Another day pretending I wasn’t breaking inside.
I wiped down table seven for the third time, not because it needed it—but because it gave me something to do with my hands. Something to stop me from thinking..
The restaurant buzzed around me—waiters calling out orders, pans clattering, the hum of rich customers complaining about food they’d never cook themselves.
This was my life now. Survival in the form of minimum wage and aching feet.
I hadn’t spoken to my family in two years. Not after the shouting, the bruises, the cold stares from people who once called themselves blood. They changed after my parents died. Or maybe they’d always been that way, and grief just stripped the mask off..
Only Amy stayed. Amy with her too-loud laugh and stubborn loyalty. We were all each other had..
Amy Adams (BFF/FL)
“You good?”
* she asked, leaning against the counter beside me, balancing two plates like a pro.*
Selena donovan (FL)
I nodded.
*Lying had become second nature*
Selena donovan (FL)
They think pain makes you weak.
It doesn't. It makes you invisible.
*Washing dishes behind the kitchen counter, sleeves rolled up, face blank
Wipes sweat, eyes hollow*
Amy Adams (BFF/FL)
Leaning on the counter beside her, chewing gum...
"You need a break, Lena. One more shift like this and you’ll drop"
Selena donovan (FL)
Breaks are for people who have something to go home to.
I left “home” the day they made me feel like a burden.
*Lighting a cigarette with shaky fingers*
Amy Adams (BFF/FL)
You’re not alone. You’ve got me, remember
Selena donovan (FL)
You’re the only reason I didn’t let the world swallow me whole.
*Half-smiles, then turns away as a customer enters*
Selena donovan (FL)
Here we go again… pretending to exist
* Crushed the cigarette *
Amy Adams (BFF/FL)
Only this girl Had gut to smoke in this famous restaurant...
Customer
Hey i want this and this..
Selena donovan (FL)
Sure sir...
Amy Adams (BFF/FL)
Watching Selena put on a fake smile
"You deserve more than tips and fake “thank yous.”
Selena donovan (FL)
*Voice low, walking toward the counter*
"Deserve doesn’t pay the rent. Survival does"
Customer
Miss, where’s my order?
Selena donovan (FL)
*Under her breath
Right where I left my will to care.
Turns with a forced smile*
Coming right up, sir.
Amy Adams (BFF/FL)
*Frowns *
as Selena walks back...
You should talk to the manager—get a better position.
Selena donovan (FL)
*Snorts*
The manager stares longer at my ass than my application..
Amy Adams (BFF/FL)
You could still leave. Find a better place
Selena donovan (FL)
*Wiping down a tray*
And do what, Amy? Sell dreams to people who still believe in them?
Amy Adams (BFF/FL)
I just… I hate seeing you like this. * frustrated *
Selena donovan (FL)
This is me. What’s left after they stripped everything away.
Amy Adams (BFF/FL)
You’re not broken, Lena. You’re just… waiting
Selena donovan (FL)
*Glancing out the window, voice low*
Waiting for what?
A miracle in a city that chews girls like me alive?
Amy Adams (BFF/FL)
No.
*Softly, with certainty*
For the wrong man to walk in… and the right one to follow.
