In a world governed by fate, mine was sealed long ago. Among all people, I, Beatrice, was chosen to be a hero. Why me? I often wonder.

As the chosen one, the world's admiration and expectations weigh heavily on me. But not everyone shares the same enthusiasm.

"How lucky she is," they say. "Her fate is to be a hero, while we're destined for ordinary lives."

My friends, Silya and Lilya, often express their discontent. "I don't like my fate," Silya says. "It's boring, with no excitement in sight."

I overheard their conversation, and it struck a chord. They think my fate is wonderful, but they don't understand the burden that comes with it.

Sometimes, I feel like giving up. In a world where people are valued based on their destiny, how can I save them when they're so cruel?

I just want to live in peace, free from the weight of my fate. But for now, I'm stuck with this predetermined path.

My suitor, Zack, approaches me. "Hey, what's wrong? Are those brats bothering you again?"

I shake my head, lost in thought. Zack asks about my plans, but I'm unsure how to respond.

He teases me, asking for an answer to a question I hadn't forgotten. Will you be lover?.He ask,I remind him to be patient, and we decide to hang out instead.

As we spend time together, I realize that Zack is my safe haven in this cruel world. I'll do anything to be with him and keep him safe.

With Zack by my side, my life is filled with happiness and comfort.

The facade of harmony began to crumble. On a sunny day, I found myself in a discussion with the saints, who held higher ranks than the king due to their predetermined destinies. Saint Celeste proposed that I, the sole hero, should venture to the East to quell the monster uprising. However, Pope Sanchez expressed caution.

"Pope Sanchez, I understand your concerns," Saint Celeste said, "but if we delay every month, many people might die. The monsters won't stop on their own."Pope Sanchez countered, "Saint Celeste, we can't afford to risk our hero's life. If she goes there, she might die, and we'll lose our only hero."

Saint Celeste argued, "But, Pope Sanchez, people's lives are in danger. We have a solution if something goes wrong, but we can't afford to oppose each other now." Pope John and other popes intervened, and eventually, Pope Sanchez agreed to let me fight to save the East.

I couldn't help but feel a sense of resignation. I knew why I wasn't opposing their decision – they were using me to fight their battles, and as the hero, I was bound to obey. They pretended to care, but I knew they'd stab me in the back and exploit me for their gain. I'd been through this before, and the feeling of betrayal had numbed me.

After the meeting, Saint Celeste ordered me to prepare for our departure to the East the next day.

As I was about to leave, Silya approached me. "Beatrice, I heard that Saint Celeste ordered you to lead the fight to save the Eastern people?"

I replied, "Silya, you already know, so why ask?" Silya responded, "Because I'll never believe the rumors without hearing it directly."

Before Silya could ask further, Zack appeared and asked me to accompany him.

"Zack, what's wrong?" I asked.

"Beatrice, I heard you're leading the fight against the monsters in the East," Zack said. "You can't just follow their orders without thinking. You're still human."

I nodded. "I know, Zack. Leading the fight means I'll be at the forefront, and if I fail, I'll face execution. But I've accepted my fate."

Zack's expression turned urgent. "Beatrice, don't you realize how foolish it is to blindly follow destiny? You can change your fate. Believe in yourself and fight against the will of the saints. You're not just a hero, you're a human being."

His words struck a chord. I realized that Zack was right – I had been numb to the pain and control of the saints. I was more than just a hero; I was a person with my own will.

"Thank you, Zack, for reminding me," I said. "I'll help in my own way, not because of my destiny or the saints, but because I want to save the people of the East. They're humans, just like me, and deserve to live."

Zack nodded. "I'll support you, no matter what. You don't have to do this alone."

I smiled, feeling a sense of determination. "Thank you, Zack. Let's get ready to depart tomorrow."

With renewed resolve, Zack and I began preparing for our journey to the East.

We arrived at the East, and I have to tell you, the surroundings were suffocating. The air was thick with the smell of blood, and the sounds of screams filled my ears. We were on high alert.

"Get ready!" I shouted. I could sense that something was coming our way, so I prepared my team.

"Haha, look at that! People from the Kingdom of Fortesia," one of the enemies sneered. He was dressed in fine attire and accompanied by monstrous creatures.

"Show yourself!" I shouted. "Don't hide in the bushes like a scared cat! If you want to fight, then show yourself."

The figure emerged, and I saw that it was a young man with a confident smirk on his face. "How brave of you to say that, Hero of Fortesia Beatrice," he said with a chuckle. "Well, I'm not surprised, considering the people of Fortesia are known for their bravery. But there's one thing they lack – compassion."

"The people of Fortesia believe in destiny," he continued, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Haha, destiny? Really? You believe in that? No wonder you're not compassionate. You believe in things that haven't even happened yet, so you don't bother being humane."

I felt my anger rising. "How dare you!" I shouted.

The young man just smiled. "Oh, Beatrice, why are you getting angry? I'm just telling the truth. And aren't you one of those who doesn't believes in destiny?"

"Who are you to lecture me?" I demanded. "Don't hide anymore, show yourself! What do you know about me, anyway?"

The young man didn't respond, but suddenly attacked me. I prepared myself for the fight, but I didn't expect him to be so skilled.

As we clashed swords, my knights fought alongside me, but they were gradually getting defeated. I was left with no choice but to take on the fight alone. Exhausted and breathless, I finally managed to defeat the rest of his minions. Only the young man remained.

"Aren't you tired?" he asked, his voice calm.

"Not yet," I replied, my breathing heavy. "Not until I defeat you."

"Well, sorry, but I don't have time for you," he said, his voice fading away. "Hahaha... until next time, Beatrice..."

I didn't hear his voice anymore, and I couldn't sense his presence. So l checked on my companions, making sure they were okay.

After the fight, we finally arrived at our destination. The saints and Zack were supposed to stay with me, but fortunately, we had decided to part ways so that the other party could arrive safely at the Easter border.

"Beatrice!" Zack shouted, his face etched with worry.

"Hey, Zack... what's wrong?" I asked, feigning innocence.

"What do you mean by that? Asking me what's wrong?" Zack's voice rose in frustration. "Don't you know what's wrong? You were ambushed, and I heard it from your companions! Are you hurt somewhere?"

I chuckled, trying to reassure him. "Haha... Zack... sorry. Don't worry, I'm fine now."

Zack pouted, his expression adorable. "What are you laughing at?"

I couldn't help but tease him. "Hahaha... you're so cute when you're worried about me."

Zack's face turned bright red, and I laughed even harder. "You're blushing, Zack! It's so adorable!"

Zack looked away, trying to hide his embarrassment. "Stop teasing me, Beatrice."

But I just laughed and continued to tease him. "Oh, Zack, you're so easy to tease! You're like a big, strong warrior, but when it comes to me, you're just a big softie."

Zack's face turned even redder, and he looked like he was about to explode. "Beatrice, stop it! You're going to pay for this!"

I just laughed and leaned in close to him. "Oh, I'm shaking in my boots, Zack."

Zack's eyes locked onto mine, and for a moment, I thought he was going to kiss me. But instead, he just smiled and whispered, "You're going to pay for this later, Beatrice."

I felt a shiver run down my spine at his words, and I knew that I was in trouble.

As night fell, Zack took my hand, and we walked together, the stars shining above us. "I'm glad we're in this together, Beatrice," he said, his voice filled with emotion.

I squeezed his hand, feeling grateful for his presence in my life. "Me too, Zack. Me too."

As we walked, I couldn't shake off the feeling that the leader of the ambush looked familiar. Who was that guy, and why did he seem to know me?
