Finally, graduated. And... I got scholarship for studying abroad in America, which is a far country from my where I live, Japan.

Well... I can't waste the chance, so... with my parents support I'm going abroad.

After long flight, which is pretty draining me out because it's my first time... Finally, I arrived at America. Why America? I don't even know.

My destination is... a town called New Haven, which is on the Connecticut, United States. I heard that's a Town of Elm, I don't even know what elm is but ... seemed beautiful.

I must admit something, it's so many different here. Culture, Language, and everything... It's a huge country.

Anyway, The campus where I study named "Yale University", which I heard it's one of the oldest universities.

And, what majors do I choose? I choose art because it's recommended by my teacher, Not without any reason ... I've been a highest score in music subject three years straight.

Seems my lucky was ended, after I'm registering to the campus, I need to find some place to live but... There's so expensive, especially near the campus building, it's because a distance from the apartment to campus is just a few steps, it's very short walk and already arrived at the gate.

After a long search, finally... I found an apartment, it's a bit far from campus building, but I heard it's the cheapest one. Well... seems my luck isn't ruined yet... that's what I thought...

"Are you sure, Kiddos?" Landlord asking with flustered and concerned expression, I don't really understand what that's expression mean.

"Of course I sure, Sir. I gave up looking for an apartment, and it seems good for me" I said it without any hesitation.

"Oh... Uh... Fine then, but I don't take any responsibility if something is out of my control, okay?" Landlord say nervously and then give me a key for the room.

"Well... Whatever, as long as I get place to stay, I don't scared anything" That what I said when I get the key, but when I go to the room, seems I want to leave it. But it's impossible now, I've told the landlord if I'm okay with any risk. Well, time to get into this semi abandoned apartment room.

Clicking sound are heard when I unlocked the door, that mean the door lock is still function, also... The lights are still bright and showing the dusty room. Maybe I should clean up first.

I reach the storage room and picking the purifier... But suddenly I feel something tapping my shoulder from back.

I don't really care about it and just said "Huh?" because... There's nobody except me here.

But suddenly I feel tapped again, and now it's harder than before, so I decided to turning my head and look at the back, and surprisingly...

"Hey, Human... How dare you ignoring me earlier!" Sounds like a something scary and husky. It's a real ghost here? Maybe...

Wait a minute, it's comes through from the wall? Also...

"Jeez... You're really ignoring me, young boy..." She's pouting. Yeah, pouting like a kid, even though she looks like a matured woman.

Another thing, it was a woman spirit, right? And why she's here? Don't say she was a "curious spirit"—or whatever it is who will not be calm before what she wanted was granted.

"Hey, young boy... Tell me your name, please? I want to be friends with you... Okay?" She said when I'm still processing what is going on here.

After several times in silence, finally I speak up to her, "Sorry, I don't expect you'll be able to talking with me. My name is Itsuki Takeuchi" It's weird, my first introduce is with a ghost? No way... This is something nonsense and unexpected in my life.

"What's kind of name is? I've never heard it before" She said while slowly floating around me, and scanning me from head to toe. "I'm Lucy, Lucy Brown. Nice to meet you, uh... Take... Uchi, right?" She's a little stuttering while repeating my name. And Lucy? That what a cute name, I think.

"Mrs. Brown, right? Um... Nice to meet you too" I said, a little stuttering and flustered, too. And yeah, it's because was my first time ever, ever... Introduce myself to a ghost, literally a ghost.

"Hey, Young boy... Should I help you?" She said in uh... sultry tone, like... it's just teasing me? Or... I don't know. And yeah, seems like she's just teasing me now, because... "Actually ye-" She cut my sentence and say "Kidding" while chuckling, jeez... lucky she's a ghost.

Well, seems she's not a dangerous spirit, so I feel safe, for now. And, back to the plans, I'll clean up this place which is bigger than I thought. There's a few parts of the house like, two bedrooms with closets, bathroom—or restroom, kitchen with dining table, kinda big for me alone, and living room with a TV and couch. Yeah, it's kinda big for a cheap apartment.

I start clean up from the deepest room, which is the kitchen to living room, it's because there's no back door, so... I think it was a good method.

And, like what you expected, she is just floating and occasionally annoy me during clean up. But, she's helping me to clean the narrow gap, at least she's not totally annoying me after all. Even though she's seen through, she's still able to touch and handle the things like a human does, interesting.

"Are you didn't scare to me, Young boy?" She asked with curious yet cute expression.

Man ... how to answer that question?

Did I scare to her now? I don't know how to answer that question, but she's waiting and expecting something from my answer. And, seems she wouldn't hear anything bad for it.

Alright, take a deep breath and say... "Nah I'm not" but... it'll not satisfy her. So, I look at her eyes directly, and say... "Why should I scare to the cute yet beautiful ghost like you, Mrs. Brown?" God... it's like I'm teasing her, for real. Why should I say something like that to her now? How stupid I am.

She Blushed, her face redden like a tomato now. And, she hides it with her palms, how cute!! "Stupid you" she says.

I can't help but chuckling so hard seeing her reaction like that. Well... it's my first time seeing it after all, so... I've to say it's really amusing me.

"Don't dare you to say something like that again, okay!?" she said, still blushing spread out on her face. It's she's a... Tsundere¹? But, whatever is... she's actually cute, and beautiful for a ghost. And yeah, I never thought she'll act like it, how adorable.

It's Friday night by the way, and I still continue to clean up the room, it's almost done with the help from this cute ghost, Lucy Brown. Even though she's not doing so much but it's still better than I'm working alone.

Right after finish the cleanup I let my gasps out while plopping myself to the couch, is so comfortable, seems I'll be sleepy in no time, I'm exhausted too.

Then, when I started to close my eyes, suddenly the TV turned on, and yeah... it's Lucy. "I'm bored" she said with giggles.

"You surprised me, you know that? I'm almost sleeping earlier" I'm trying to protest but seems she doesn't even pay attention to my complaint, just locking her eyes on the TV screen. I'm just letting out my sigh and try to stood up but... my energy has been drained away, I can't stand up properly on my own legs now, and yeah... Lucy doesn't really care about it after all. And why I expected it? What a weird.

Before I realized, I'm sleeping on the couch with sitting position, isn't comfortable, right? But I don't care anymore, I'm tired already. Another thing, I feel fingers roaming my hair softly, it must be Lucy.

"You wake up, Young boy?" she asked, but her eyes still on the TV, her fingers still tracing my hair, and messing it up.

"Am I sleeping?" I asked with groggy and flustered.

She smirks, like she'll tease me again now, "you're drooling much, you know" she said, and chuckling after.

I don't know, but... it's weird like, she's a ghost, and I was a human, we're living together now. She looks uh... happy? But I think she's hiding something, especially with those tiring eyes even though still looks beauty.

I'll ask her directly then... "Hey... can I ask something?" I asked while looking at her face, and seems she didn't realize it yet because still focused on the TV show.

"Go on, ask me anything" She said, not even turn away her gaze from the TV.

I take a deep breath again before asking, I don't know why but it's feel nervous already. "Why you look so tired?" I ask her, "No need to answer if you feel uncomfortable"

She still hasn't even moving her face from the TV, but I noticed she sighed softly before answering my question. "Almost all of my day after my death, I'm alone here. No, more like I feel lonely because I look scary. I'm ghost after all" She said with flat yet uninterested tone.

"Then, after long waiting, you come. Like, you didn't see me as others see, even though I don't know what in your mind but still... I'm happy knowing I'm still acceptable here, also you already say I'm 'cute', right? So... yeah, I won't let you go" She smirks at the last word.

Dammit, I don't expect she'll say something like that. I mean, though she just feels lonely and will get bored with me in no time but... "I won't let you go", that's kind of words, you know that. Even though I'm not really sure about the meaning behind it but seems she'll glue to me since now. Yeah, literally now.

Suddenly she's leaning towards me, and wrapping my waist with her slender hands. It's feel like someone hugging me, I mean... she literally clings to me right now. I also feel her warm breath on my neck while she's resting her head to my shoulder. Gosh, I really feel her now. Am I dreaming now? Of course not, it's real. But, unbelievable because I am able to felt the ghost touching against me, and seems she was feel same too. I still don't understand what the situation is but... yeah, just let it go for now.

"Stay still, I'm sleepy" she said while yawning. But, did she's just planning to cling on me for along night here?

Well, I think it'll be uncomfortable here so... when I noticed she was already sleeping, I lifted her—still surprised I am able to do—and move her to my bed. Yeah, my own bed because I've no more room. And seems better to share the bed with her. Nothing wrong, right?

With careful laid her on my bed, and I lay beside her. Pulling the blanket for us, and I'm trying to close my eyes but...
