Hunt Me Down
to kill a pretty lady
Ayana
Rajkumari, everyone in the Shahi Mahal is now aware about your absence.
Ayana
And all the guards are now assigned to search for you.. and possibly if the king ordered them, take your life too.
Ayana spoke as Urvi seemed to be immersed in her own thoughts.
Ayana
Your grace, are you listening?
A number of thoughts rushed in Ayana's mind, seeing the other one staring blankly at the fireplace.
She neither blinked her eyes nor twitched even a bit.
The presence and absence visible on her princess' face, at the same time, scared her deep in her heart.
She couldn't bear seeing her like this, in so much worry and pain, but what could she really do?
Suddenly, the gaze of the Princess shifted to the lady so devoted to her.
Urvi's eyes twinkled with the light of the fire and the love and admiration for Ayana, shone in her eyes.
Urvi
Love, do not refer to me as if I'm superior to you.
Urvi
I'm nothing in comparison to you.
Hearing her speak, soothed Ayana's mind and a small smile emerged from her lips.
The light of the flames fell on Ayana's dusky skin, making her glow to such an extent that Urvi couldn't take her eyes off the lady.
Urvi stepped towards her and grasped her hand warmly.
Urvi
I know you worry that they could take me away from you
The softness of her touch graced Ayana.
Urvi
But, something they don't know is they could never take my love away from you
A tear escaped Ayana's eye as she embraced Urvi's touch.
This was all she wanted in her life, to be loved and cared for.
Unfortunately, she never received any from her dead parents or her living relatives.
The doubt of being so unlovable filled her mind at a very young age.
And fortunately Urvi made her believe that she wasn't a curse and she can be loved too.
Ayana
I don't care about the world, Urvi
Ayana
I don't care about what they will think or feel and how would they react
Ayana
I just want to be with here
The words escaped her mouth accompanied by a stream of tears.
Urvi
beautiful, other than me, nobody could ever take you away from my love
Urvi cupped her lover's face in her hands, gently placing a kiss upon her soft cherry lips.
The mind wished for the softened lips for more and more love for them, unable to control its emotions.
Urvi
Love, I don't know what the future holds next for me
Ayana's gaze softened hearing those words. She thought about their future, which made her sad but was glad she had her in the present.
Urvi
I don't care what the future holds for me..
Urvi
I just want to have you for myself tonight
Ayana stared into her eyes with all the memories they made together reflecting in hers.
It was totally normal to love a lady.
But it was not normal for a lady to love another lady
Though Ayana had no one growing up who could show her how to love, she has those emotions instilled within her, waiting to be awaked.
She never really openly sought love, as it was considered to be inappropriate for a lady to express herself fully her needs and wants to the world.
And, she had to look out for herself growing up...
So she never had time for it.
After a period of struggle when she received the duty to be the right hand of the Princess Of Devdan, she was beyond delighted but expected nothing more in that job rather than fulfilling the Princess' wishes.
But when she met the Princess she was meant to serve, she fell in love with her.
She considered Urvi to be a blessing in her life.
And she absolutely cherished the way her princess reciprocated her feelings
Ayana
Gladly, my love. Not a single night, you can have me for the rest of my life..
The connection between the two sparked as Urvi grabbed Ayana by her thigh. Pulling her in, the dominator took the lips of her lady love while the other one carefully unbuttoned her dress.
They both were sure from the very beginning that their future cannot be together, yet the wish of affection made the Princess elope from the castle.
Ayana had one guilt eating her out for hours. Maybe, if they hadn't chosen this path then, their soft romance could've continued more.
They could've been together for some more time, lived and loved.
But, now they had committed the treason, denied the reality and then, accepted it.
And now it didn't matter to Ayana if they would get caught or not.
Ayana
I hope this moment never ends
Ayana wished, recalling every other moment of love but the so-called action of love didn't last for long.
Before the arrival of mid-night, Ayana laid on the floor with a sharp silver dagger pierced through her heart, her eyes wide open.
Urvi lied next to her, her clothes soaked up in blood, her heart drenched with passion.
The two lifeless souls, once bound together were now thousands of feet away from each other.
Urvi
To kill a pretty lady is a very difficult task....
Urvi got up from the puddle of blood and possibly guilt, she was drenching in and started to change her attire.
she carefully wrapped each of her clothing on Ayana's fragile body and dressed her with the royal jewels, she had.
Urvi has planned this a very long time ago.
Though, the plan didn't go point to point as she expected but there was no mistake in the world that she didn't learn how to cover up from the place she grew up in.
It was still simple to identify that the fallen maiden was not Urvi but Ayana, so with the slash of her dagger, Urvi chopped the head off her mistress's body.
Younger Urvi was somewhere where she was never taught to be lethal. But, all she had ever seen in her life was brutality, hate and massacre.
She saw this one chance of fleeing away from the prison she was bound in all her life and she gave it a shot
and she was going to make the best out of it,
Even if it puts her life at stake.

ch2; the runaway bride
The walls of the Shahi Mahal had never been so quiet and dreadful before.
The aura of the atmosphere had something instilled within it, which warned and threatened the Royalties that something greater than worse was going to take place.
Rani Shakuntala
She's just a child, my king, she is unaware of the price of her actions
Rani Shakuntala uttered, still not being able to be completely out of shock.
Raja Suraj Singh
Her age doesn't bother me, Shakuntala, she has committed treason, she has to pay for her deeds.
No signs of forgiveness reflected in the eyes of the king.
He had never been so determined with the destructive decisions he took, but this one, seemed to have provided his heart with enough warmth to make it happen for real.
Rani Shakuntala
Don't be so harsh, my king..
Rani Shakuntala
Brought up in the walls of this castle, her curiosity and innocence would've made her do this, otherwise she is tender enough to never disobey her father's wishes.
Raja Suraj Singh
Rani, I can't risk the life of all those people, whom I have swore to protect till the blood empties my veins.
Surely, loyalty for the Kingdom came before for the king than the affection for the unwanted heir.
Raja Suraj Singh
All that I know is that Rajkumari Urvi has made a huge mistake, knowingly or unknowingly, which can result in the destruction of my kingdom if I fail to revolt against her.
The queen had nothing more to speak about.
This was what it was like to live in the palace, you will be heard but nothing you spoke will be ever considered.
Raja Suraj Singh
She was to be betrothed to the Prince of Diwangarh, knowing very well that if any obstruction occurred in that matrimony, we would face such a battle that even our forefathers haven't faced.
Raja Suraj Singh
Our kingdoms could've been prosperous, she would've been powerful and blessed
Raja Suraj Singh
Yet she chose the difficult path for herself
Raja Suraj Singh
But I cannot, in any way, make the same mistake as hers.
Raja Suraj Singh
I have the future of a big kingdom in my hands
Raja Suraj Singh
And I will do everything for its prosperity..
Rani couldn't help hearing more from her husband, so she abruptly decided to walk away, to her room.
Firstly, the depression was taking over her, thinking about her little girl, alone, somewhere. She might be in hunger or in pain, or god forbid, something worse.
Secondly, her husband, the supposedly "the peace to all her worries", refuses to listen to her.
Secretly, she wished too that she would've been less harsh to her only child.
She knew about Urvi's wish to not marry..
She knew about Urvi's stubborn nature..
She knew about this marriage being nothing more than a deal between two kingdoms.
She knew about the response of the Prince of Diwangarh if this sacred marriage was broken..
But what could she even do. If someone goes against the will of the King, the punishment will be in such a way that the receiver would never be able to be called a person again by anyone.
As much as Rani wanted her little girl to return to her arms, she also wished that she was never found otherwise, either she would be killed or be given away to a person as bad as her father.
The low voice murmured in the room.
Rani Shakuntala
What is it, Sevika?
Sevika
The Prince has arrived at the Palace.
Sevika
Do you wish to listen to take part in the conversation?
The silence accompanied the queen for a long time but then suddenly she spoke,
Rani Shakuntala
As the queen, I have no duties where I interaction with a man like him is required but as a mother, my love makes me intent to do so, sevika.
Sevika left the room, followed by Rani Shakuntala.
The hallways were still tense and silent like before. Just the faint fragrance of death filled the atmosphere.
Rani sat in the covered projected balcony of the courtroom.
Her eyes trailed on her husband, worriedly pacing on the floor.
The steps of the Diwan servants approached the courtroom, followed by the sound of his royal highness himself.
Raja Suraj Singh
My king, you're here..
The stutter in his speech clearly showed the terror inside his mind.
Raja Suraj Singh
How was your journey?
The aura of the person that stood in front of him was so strong that when the eyes of the speaker meet his, his gaze would flicker.
Kaustubh
There you are, king..
Kaustubh
I didn't expect us to meet this soon..
Kaustubh
But here we are again..
Rani's forehead scrunched with distress as the words part with his highness' lips.
Things that were now going to unravel held such a great power, that either it would prove to be maddening, if prosperous or too destructive and deadly to be comprehended.
The future held a lot for all the people in its hands but not everyone could be ready to receive the gift from the giver.

ch3; the hunter
Raja Suraj Singh
your majesty, I truly hope, you would understand the depth of my ill condition..
Raja Suraj Singh, the king of Devdan, a royal, sat on the shiny sweeped floor of the Shahi Mahal as he spoke the words, full of fear, to the person sitting on his throne.
Kaustubh
All that I ever asked from you, Raja ji, was your daughter for the rest of my life...
Kaustubh
And it's such a misery that neither you could fulfill the promise you made to me nor you would be able to give her the protection she would need now..
Rani Shakuntala fumed with anger at the visible arrogance while her husband shook his head hurriedly, as if wanting to prove that he agreed to the statement.
All that she could do was regret and wish that she never let her little girl be seen by an inhuman like him.
Urvi had a habit of creating mischief and getting in huge trouble, like she did with this one.
Years ago, when the newly crowned Kaustubh visited Devdan, back when the prince was not as inhuman as he is today, his eyes couldn't help but catch the fieriness of young Urvi
The spark in her eyes, the dislike in her manner for him and the tension he felt for her, attracted him towards her more and more.
And ever since then, he had wished for nothing but to chain her, drag her to his kingdom and have her for himself.
Raja Suraj Singh
we believe we will find her soon
Raja Suraj Singh
We have appointed everyone of the palace to search for her
Raja Suraj Singh
She would definitely be found soon..
The disappointment in his daughter and the fear of his majesty, made him battle his confused emotions, as the other one watched, sneering.
Kaustubh
You have appointed everyone of the palace, hm?
Kaustubh
Then I believe nobody would be able to stop me from doing this..
With a whip, he held his jet black sword and his subject's life, within his hand.
Rani Shakuntala stood up from her place, as her breath hitched, shifting the swordsman's attention to her.
Kaustubh
I wasn't aware of your presence, beautiful
Kaustubh
Surely, most of the people in this kingdom aren't worthy of existence
Hatred and arrogance dripped from his mouth with every word he spoke.
Kaustubh, the Prince of Diwangarh
He was insufferable, intolerable and maddened to the core of his heart for power, glory and beauty.
A heart made up with steel, he didn't even flinch once when he slashed his own mother's head off her body, when he was only fifteen
while his father, the origin of the cruelty, laid in his bed, waiting for death.
Being the only child of the king, he wasn't forsaken for the crime committed, which could highly be considered as the reason for the way he was becoming.
Raja Suraj Singh
Please show some mercy, my king
The speaker requested the other.
Raja Suraj Singh
I will try to repay you with anything you wish for
Raja Suraj Singh
Just give me a chance
The sword lingered around Raja's body, spreading shivers to every part of it.
The Prince withdrew the sword and sat back on to the throne.
Kaustubh
I wished I chopped every bit of your useless old body when you first suggested that I give such a freedom to your daughter..
Kaustubh
But now the damage has been done
Kaustubh
And there's no use to wonder about it
The atmosphere filled with silence, sending chills to the spine of the witnesses of the scene.
Kaustubh
Now, all I want you to know is that things will work now according to me
The listeners listened patiently, wishing for something like a positive solution to be spoken
Kaustubh
Withdraw your army from the search
Raja Suraj Singh
But wouldn't it make it hard to catch her?
Kaustubh's harsh stare hit Raja Suraj Singh and once again, the room fell into silence.
Kaustubh took out his sword again and strolled the sharpness gently with the tips of his fingers.
Kaustubh
You need not to worry, old man
He uttered confidently and let out a mocking laugh.
Kaustubh
for a hunter, nothing is too hard to hunt down
Kaustubh
And I have the perfect man for the task
Kaustubh
Unlike those filthbag of yours
Kaustubh
I assure you, he will hunt for your daughter, torture her, drag her through hell and place her right on my feet before someone even knows it
Kaustubh
and when she is in my hands, I will do such things to her that the devil himself would have to come up to meet me and consider me as the god to worship.
