As the little girl I was I enjoyed life. A life peaceful and sweet I had everything I needed my parents and all the love. That’s as far as I could remember of my past.....

* gun shots* loud noise was what I could hear screams “ help me “

I was separated from my mum that’s the last day I ever saw her but at least I got dad

I cried like a lost child I loved her so much

I woke up realizing it was a nightmare no it was the past hunting me

After my mother left life has not been the same. I’m from a very wealthy family one of the greatest of all and I’m the only surviving child of my parents. Well in our world live a lot of spices the humans, the vampires, the wear wolves and I guess that’s all

I’m Ailee Hunt a 16 years old girl trained all her life to kill that’s what I’m good at because my mere existence causes a lot of disturbance in our world. That what they made me believe.

I live in the capital at the eastern side in a big mansion with my nanny, her daughter who is my only friend and our house helps. The are times I wish I could run from this suffocating life I really needed air and space to breathe but I guess I’m asking for a lot.

Now I guess I have to find a way to survive........

“Buzz “

That’s a lot of noise I opened my eyes to see the sun from behind the curtains I guess it’s already morning. Then the noise again ,I extended my hand and hit the alarm.... I was about to drift back to sleep when i checked the time it 7:02am

“ woah it 7:02 already” I said realizing I have class that morning and I had less than 30 minutes to prepare for class

I quickly rush to the bath room to take a shower stormed out and dressed as fast as I could then I checked my reflection in the mirror and I was okay so I went downstairs to meet breakfast being served so I sat by the table ready to eat. And for the first time it hit me hard, on this huge and large table I was the only one sitting there going to eat

“Aunty Lara “ I called out to my nanny

“ yes dear is there anything u want” she asked.

“ when is my father coming home “ she stared at me “ he’s been gone for a while now”

She reached out her hand to hold mine and robbed it “ Darling “ she said with that look of sincerity in her eyes “ I don’t when he will becoming but I want u to know that he loves you and will becoming soon”

“ but when I’m tired of having to live life lonely when he moves about traveling making business deals “ my voice dropped “ why does he not care about me”

She hugged me and said “ You always have me and Ivy we love u a lot “

“ I know “ I just stood up I had lost interest in the food

“ Where to “ she asked “ you didn’t even touch your food” she looked concerned

I smiled at her “ I’ve lost interest in the food “ I responded weakly

“ Aunty Lara, please tell Ivy I will be waiting for her in the car” I sad and head out

I drove us to school but the ride was quiet Ivy decided not to speak a word and I really appreciated it

I head towards my locker and just picked a book and went to class at the door I took in a deep breath “ this is going to be another boring day” I whispered and enter the class

The went on as normal as it could be and soon school was over on my way home Ivy and I decided to go to the mall before we go home. We spent a lil bit of cash here and there on bags and on anything that we liked. Then we went to the restaurant across the mall to get food.

We eat and made a little conversation here and there it was fun actually

I guess Aunty Lara was right at least I had Ivy, she was like my own very own sister from another mother

We sat in the car and started to drive us home. The journey back was not really eventful. We jut casually listened to music make jokes and laugh. When we got home Aunty Lara was already waiting for us and there were a lot of cars around

“Is my ..... father “ I hesitated for a while and she nodded

I run into the house to meet our dining table full of guests but my father was not part of the faces there and I looked at his regular sit at the head of the table he was not there

So I run tu the study and there he was the same old face and aura and then I said

“ Dad”

For all these years I was hoping or wishing that I’d see my dad, that I’ll hear him call me

I might not know his reasons for leaving but I know he loves and cares for me. I’m all he’s got .

Now I just stood there looking at him, he looked sad staring at a picture in his palm.

“ Dad” I said with obvious shock in my voice

He looked up and his eyes met mine I could see it in his eyes

Slowly he stood up and walked to me

“ Peanut, I’m sorry “

“I’m sorry?” I said sounding frustrated “ is that all you are going to say, for leaving me for a decade “

I looked into his eyes for answers but I could only see sadness

How was he sad I mean he felt

“ Did you even care about what I will go through. All I wanted was to have you. To.... to have someone who would comfort me when I cry, someone who will tell me it’s okay when I have those nightmares....... but you.. you left.”

I could feel the tears burning hot on my face

He slowly opened his arms to me and he whispere “ Peanut, I didn’t mean to”

“ Then why” I wanted answers

“ I had to”

“ Huh” did I hear him speak Latin how could he say he had to

“To protect you dear” he looked at me then he continued “I couldn’t watch them hurt you”

“Who????”

“You will understand one day”

I Looked at his opened arms which were begging me or come into them. I could feel myself moving and I found myself in his arms, how much it felt like home, how I missed this.

“Peanut, you were always in my heart”

I wish I could stay here in his arms forever

30 minutes later

“We have a meeting to attend” he said looking serious and cold.

Very typical of him

“With who”

“The guest out in the dining area”

“What are we going to discuss”

“You will find out when we get there”

“Okay????” It came out more of a question. Might not know what will becoming out of that discussion but I had a feeling it was about me and I won’t like it

For the record it don’t like meetings

He lead the way and I followed

We walked down the hallway till we arrived at our final destination.

From afar I spotted them looking at me like I was some sort of price. I felt uneasy but I just went to my seat and sat down.

At the table everyone was quiet then the grace was said and the only noise in the room was forks against glass

For a moment I thought what kind of meeting would this be. I slowly leaned to the left where my Dad was sitting and eating calmly

“What time is the meeting starting”

“Patience dear”

I stared down at my barely touched plate

Just when my thoughts were running wild I heard a distracting noise from the other end of the table. I raised my head and tilted my head to the side to meet a woman smiling. She was beautiful young and elegant with her slender fingers.

She looked as if she was done with the food. She really did know how to get everyone’s attention. All eyes on her as she continued to smile.

“Mr. Hunt let’s get to business” she said and smiled

What does she have to offer, I mean she was gorgeous like a goddess and she never seamed to stop smiling

Dad looked at her with sad but cold eyes and there was another look. The look he gave whenever he discussed me.

Oh my God, how bad could this get.... ...
