I sat on a bench in my personal garden thinking about how messed up my life has been currently. I lost both my brothers in a war against a bloodthirsty King named Damon who ruled Gatrish and I still blamed my dad for sending them.

My name is Nyx, daughter of Lothaire and Irene, the King and Queen of Maebeth also some of the most powerful witches in the world. We witches find it thrilling to live among humans because we see them as weak and vulnerable but also use it as an excuse to recreate with humans.

Other supernatural beings took this opportunity and followed relocating and overtaking over the human world. Currently, the world is filled with Demons,werewolves, vampires, witches, shapeshifters and fallen angels.

Werewolves and vampires have no problems with each other but the witches and demons never agreed, this also being one of the reason why Maebeth and Gatrish were at war. My father Lotharie is one of the most powerful witches known to history and Damon on the other hand is one of the strongest demons in the world.

This two have being at each other's throat since the migration of supernatural beings into the human world, this led to the death of many humans, demons and witches. In the last war, Dad managed to wipe out Damon's whole family and that is why he retaliated and killed both my brothers and brought their heads back to us personally.

Other kingdoms like Decresh were owned by demons but kingdoms like Altava and Vandal are owned by vampires while others like Mauro-Roman kingdom, Kingdom of the Auŕes and Rustamid Dynasty belonged to werewolves. Numidia, Mauretania Caesariensis and Emirate of tiemcen were still owned by powerful humans.

The king of Decresh has planned to overthrown Adam the current king of Numidia. Meanwhile, mauretania has not been neared because it is ruled by a man who rescued and has a fallen angel in his home ready to destroy any body who tries to disturb their peace.

But it is also rumored that the angel has overthrown and killed him in his house because of an argument that over escalated into the king arresting the angel and keeping him locked up for a long time. The rumors also said that as soon as he got out, he poisoned his food and still stangled him afterwards.

I stood up immediately after realising that my father watched me from a distance with his emerald green eyes which I was lucky to inherit. He walked up to me seeing the sad look on my face and he said" I'm sorry for sending them, I had no choice but to do just that, I started noticing the army general talking about how over protective I am over two fully grown men so I had to" he explained in length.

I looked up at him with tears in my eyes and said" I'll miss them" but he just pulled me into his arms as I sobbed uncontrollably.

I Woke up the next morning feeling light-headed from all the crying last night. My dad walked in before the maid and I sat up almost immediately" Greetings Your Mayesty" I said looking worriedly as he didn't reply but waved his hand for the maid to leave us.

After a few minutes of silence, he finally spoke" I'm marrying you off to Carson king of Mauretania Caesarea" he spat out avoiding to meet my gaze. My heart dropped immediately as I analysed what he just said and simply stated" I won't if it isn't for a good reason" he looked up at me confused at my words and then said" I want to form an alliance if I am going to win this fight against Damon and I want to avenge my sons who died because of him" his tone was harsh with hurt clear in it.

" Then I am willing to do it " I said blankly. Dad told to me prepare for the wedding which is to take place in a month.

I nodded and he stood up and walked out happy with my reply and commitment to the kingdom, if only he knew I was doing it for my brothers who died in the hands of that beast.A month later, I dressed up in a golden dress and wore jewellery matching my dress except my hairband which complimented my eyes and also with an emerald green glass shoe and I looked at myself in the mirror and smiled.

I walked down the stairs gracefully and all heads turned towards me as I descended the flight of stairs. On my way down, I stepped on my gown and i felt myself falling and suddenly I felt hands around my waist and I looked into a pair of silver eyes and I was stunned and started feeling hypnotised before the strange man suddenly snapped and pulled me back up and I stood firm and gaze directly at him, he had on an armor that looked like it was made with God's own hand and sword in its stealth coloured silver complimenting his silver hair and eyes "Are you okay" he said snapping me out of my own head" Yes thank you for your help".

He walked away silently and I hurried and sat close to my new husband and the marriage rites began. Twenty minutes later,he received a letter from his guard and he stood up hastily" I'm afraid I won't be able to stay any longer this in an emergency and it requires my most urgent attention " He said before turning to leave.

After the ceremony, I was asked to go to Mauretania by myself with only a guard that would ride the chariot. I hopped into the chariot and he immediately rode off moving with incredible speed which forced me to get comfortable.

After two hours of riding, it was already dark out but the guard didn't seem bothered by the time at which he was driving. Leaving Numidia, we were on the border between Mauretania and Decresh and suddenly we get thrown off the road by a horserider.

He stopped climbing down from his horse and suddenly yelled" Can't you watch where you're going" the man with his long black hair that was a bit above his shoulder and brown eyes said walking towards us. He was clearly human due to his appearance but he suddenly whistled out loud and horses came out from the shadow as the men hold out their swords ready to fight.

The guard tried settling the problem amicably but got stabbed to death by one of the brown-eyed stranger's men and they started walking towards me and a hungry look appeared on his face as he walked over to where I was. He pulled me out and shoved his hands up my thighs and I screamed out but got slapped across the face and the pain of the slap stinged so badly that I started crying for help.

The man suddenly layed on top of me and tried pulling down my panties but I kicked him in between his legs and he screamed out in pain and I immediately stood up and started running totally forgetting that he had his men around and one jerked me down with his fist and I fell to the ground groaning in pain and he kicked me in the stomach and laughed but suddenly he stopped laughing after realising that all his men had vanished into thin air. The man with the silver hair stepped out of the shadows and grabbed him by the throat and squeezed it until it pulled out of it's socket.

He looked down at with me with flaming red eyes and slowly crouching down to my level" are you okay " he asked but I couldn't speak but just nodded.

He looked down at me and saw the terrified look in my eyes as I tried to crawl away from his gaze but he just closed his eyes and took a deep breathe before finally speaking again" Sorry to scare you, are you okay my lady " I again nodded fear still clear in my face. "If you don't mind, I would like to take you home.

King Carson has ordered that I bring you to the Palace. I just looked at him for a while before standing up right and cleaning myself up "Thanks for your help again" he just smiled at me before holding out his hand" How are we going to get back to the Palace, the chariot was destroyed" I asked confused after taking his hand but he didn't reply and drew me into his embrace and wings came out of his back and we flew off into the night sky.

I clutched onto him as I felt my feet lift off the floor. After ten minutes of flying, we landed inside the Palace safely, i looked around and saw guards charging at us until they noticed his wings and withdrew their weapons" I might not be able to stop my men the next time you fly in here like that" a man in an armor said walking towards us " Then they may not be able to see the next day, sorry for flying in like that but his majesty sent me to retrieve his bride" he said pointing towards me and all eyes and heads turned towards me " what can I say, his majesty has eyes for great things" the man in the armor said eying me hungrily " I wouldn't advise you do that Callum, the king will rip your head if he catches you looking at her like that" he said with a calm yet threatening voice" I'm Callum, the army general it's nice to meet you" he said as he took my hands and kissed my knuckles " Nice to meet you too General Callum" I said as he let go of my hand" You might as well want to take her to meet him" he said towards the silver hair man.

I walked slowly following my saviour who seemed to be calm but yet emitted this dark aura that sent shivers down my spine, we walked through a hallway and came to a stop when we neared a big brown door" Are you ready, my lady?" I nodded and he opened the door walking in before me, I looked around the large throne room that was painted lavender and green. The floor had a large red carpet covering the whole floor and also a long table with chairs at three sides except the side that faced the king.

Walking further into the room, he raised his head from the scroll he was looking into" Oh look who we have here" all the others suddenly turned looking towards me and my saviour" Greetings my king" he said and bowed slightly" I have already told you to stop the whole formality, haven't I" he smiled." I would like to introduce you all to my second wife, Nyx, she's the last daughter and child of the King of Maebeth" he said pointing towards me.

They all looked at me disgusted due to my dirty and torn wedding dress" There was an attacked on the chariot that was supposed to bring her here" the silver hair man said before looking down at me and smiling" Where are my manners, General Tanus this is Asmodeus my guardian angel" the king said with a devilish smile on his face and immediately scared the general whose face had turned from disgust to fear" So back to business, Berith has decided war against us, right?" The king said after seeing the scared looking in the general's face. Berith is the new and current king of Shubael.

Shubael was one of the hidden kingdoms in the world but after the previous King died it has not stopped showing off its power. "Please take her to her Chambers then come back would you?" The king asked with a sly smile on his face " Anything for you Carson" he said playfully "So kind of you Desy" he said then motioned for him to leave.

I walked behind Asmodeus silently and we suddenly stopped in front of a green door and he opened it and I walked into a green painted room with a green carpet, a big bed layed with green bedsheets, another small green door which I assumed led to bathroom, another transparent door which led to an indoor garden and window blinds green in colour. "Get comfortable, his highness might come here tonight to consummate the marriage "he said clearly getting uncomfortable at my silence.

He left after showing me around and a maid quickly came in and started getting everything ready for me " I have set up a warm bath for you my lady" the maid said after bringing out a dress for me from the closet "What is your name " I said finally feeling free, the maid looked at me shocked at my question "Lydia my lady" she answered feeling uneasy" Are you my personal maid" I asked hoping that I'll be able to make a friend out of this whole situation "No my lady, I am just the assistant maid. Your personal maid will be here later, she's having a chat with the king."

I looked at her clearly disappointed face "As the owner of this chamber, I hereby make you my personal maid " I said firmly. She smiled and said " It would be my great honour and I promise to serve you with truth, respect, regard, kindness and honesty " I smiled as she swore her loyalty to me.

I took a quick and refreshing bath and immediately laid down on the bed but started getting bored. I called Lydia but instead another maid walked in" What can I help you with my lady" she ask closing the door behind her "Sorry I called for my personal maid "I said but she looked at confused me before finally speaking "I am your personal maid" she said confusion clear in her voice" Oh you must be Ylva, I sent for Lydia she's my new personal maid you're the assistant " I said firmly without flinching.

She quickly looked down at her hands and said " I will get her for you my lady" I looked at her and saw the hurt and disappointed look on her face " You know that it is possible to have two personal maids" she quickly looked up and smiled at me brightly " It would be my honor to serve you my lady" I smiled at her suddenly feeling sleepy " Don't worry, you are free to go I would like to rest.
