It's August 9th, the city blinked with its beauty.

The young men and women moved along the street, some are heading towards their place of work whiles others are on a walk.

Kacey stood still, observing the beauty of the city, with smiles all over her face.

she was running late for studies but yet, she couldn't stop admiring the beauty of the city.

She got to class and met her teacher standing still before her.

She knew she was late and will get punish definitely.

" What kept you late for class today Kacey?"

" um....madam.... actually.....

"Actually what " Her teacher broke in.

" Actually the city looked so beautiful and I couldn't stop admiring it"

The teacher stood in surprise, and her mate started laughing.

" Enough of it, Kacey go take your sit and make sure you don't repeat this lateness".

She nodded eagerly in surprise and took her seat.

She turned back and realized Chris was stirring at her.

He couldn't stop looking at her and she also couldn't stop.

Chris was a guy of 26 and Kacey was 24.

They had loved each other for years but didn't know who would propose first.

Chris , whose eyes were locked intensely at Kacey finally said a hi.

Kacey replied back with a gentle smile.

They were both in their final years in the training college.

During break, Chris approached Kacey and they had a long talk together.

He decided to let flow of his feelings.

As Kacey turned to walk away after their long talk, he quickly made a call out.

" Wait Kacey" ,he took a deep breath and finally let out the words.

" The truth is, I love you"

Kacey was shocked to hear that, but didn't know if she should also tell him her feelings for her.

She stood still and didn't know what to say.

They both kept stirring at each other as silence broke between them.

Chris continued

" I love you and I want you to be my partner but I don't know if you feel the same way for me. Do you love me, Kacey?"

Her eyes popped as she told him she loved him too.

He held her closer and gave her a deep hug.

Kacey was a girl, full of confidence.

Chris was a brilliant and smart strong guy.

They did a lot of activities together after they graduated.

They became rich and got married.

One evening, as the couples were home, a strange wind begun to blow in the city.

It was day time.

But everywhere became dark. Many people got scared and didn't know what was happening.

The same apply to the couples.

There came dark forces all over the city, destroying and killing people.

They were all instructed to be indoor and every door and windows, locked tightly.

Chris and Kacey became worried. They were both wondering what that force was and how the sun disappeared within a short time.

They then decided to wait patiently for days and see if the darkness will disappear.

But as days and weeks passed by, there were no sign of the darkness disappearing.

Kacey became disturbed, her husband then decided to use strategies to go into the dark and get to know the main cause

Kacey was heartbroken and didn't support her husband's plans.

" Chris, you know I love you, and you are all I have.

(crying out emotionally). I can't stand loosing you to this darkness.

please stay here with me, if this darkness wants to kill each and every one of us , then let us die here together, please!!"

He became so emotional and speechless, tear begun to fall from his eyes.

The two couples cried together.

" My love, I want you to trust me when I say I will come back, nothing can separate us, not even the darkness.

The bond between you and I is a strong one, and no one can break it not even death, it's only God, I love you".

He said this with tears all over his face , given a gentle curve smile.

Kacey then tried to cry out like a baby.

He held her close and gave her a hug.

He then held her cheek, raised it up softly and gave her a deep kiss.

They both woke up and found themselves on the bed the next day.

They took a bathe together and went downstairs to make breakfast.

During the breakfast time, both couples remained quite throughout.

Chris then place his hands on that of his wife, ensuring her to have hope and trust his plans.

After eating, Chris then got all his weapons ready.

He turned to his wife and gave her a deep kiss.

She couldn't hold her tears anymore and begun crying.

The darkness was so strange to the extent that, when you walk into it without covering your eyes,

you will either loose your life or get possessed by the demonic forces.

Chris got his eyes tied up, and then stepped out of the house.

Kacey broke down with tears all over her face.

She knew those who stepped into the dark never returned back.

Now her husband is in the dark, what happens to him, he's there all by himself.

Now she was helpless and hopeless.

She waited for her husband's return but there was no sign of him coming back.

Kacey cried day and night, feeling lonely and heartbroken, she's all alone in that mansion.

As Chris moved through the dark for days, he realized it had an origination,

It was not just a mere darkness

There was something behind it and he needed to find it and destroy it in other to safe innocent lives

As he traced the darkness, he heard strange footsteps, they were extraordinary.

Within a few moments, he realized it was this strange, ugly looking creatures.

He stood firmly to the ground as his heart skipped a beat.

One of those ugly creatures lifted him up and removed his eyes cover.
