Rebirth : Twin Destiny

kidnaping

Hi friends, welcome back 💖

Lets start the story

She stood there, numb, her world collapsing around her.

Through the glass wall of the office, her eyes fixated on the man she loved—her boyfriend—wrapped in the arms of another woman. Their lips met in a kiss so familiar, so intimate, it felt like a dagger twisted into her heart.

Tears welled up, but she blinked them back, her body frozen in disbelief. Her fingers trembled at her sides. She took a silent step back, then another, her breath catching in her throat as her vision blurred.

Without a word, she turned and walked out.

The moment the office doors closed behind her, the dam broke. Her sobs escaped in harsh gasps as she stumbled toward her car. The luxury vehicle gleamed under the afternoon sun, but it offered no comfort. She got in, slammed the door shut, and drove away with trembling hands gripping the wheel.

Tears streamed down her face. Her heart raced with a thousand thoughts—Was it always a lie? Was I the fool all along?

Just then, her phone rang.

She glanced at the screen.

Sister calling.

She sniffled, wiped her tears hurriedly, and tried to steady her voice. She couldn’t let her sister hear her like this.

But when she answered, it wasn’t her sister's voice that greeted her.

A low, chilling laugh came from the other end.

“I’m sending you a location,” a man said coldly. “Come alone… or you’ll never see your sister alive again.”

Before she could respond, the call cut off.

Panic surged through her chest.

She frantically dialed her sister’s number again—once, twice, thrice—but the phone was off. Her fingers trembled as she opened the message with the location: an address far outside the city, isolated and unfamiliar.

Her first instinct was to call Mihir—her sister’s husband—but the stranger’s threat echoed in her ears. Come alone.

Her hands clenched the steering wheel. She had no choice.

She turned the car around and sped toward the edge of the city.

Thirty Minutes Later

She pulled up outside an abandoned construction site.

The building stood like a skeleton, half-finished and eerily quiet, swallowed by the silence of the outskirts. Dust rose around her as she stepped out of the car, each step heavy with dread.

She walked cautiously, the uneasy silence pressing in on her like a suffocating fog. Her instincts screamed at her to turn back. I should’ve told Mihir, she thought. Why didn’t I call him once?

Her fingers reached into the pocket of her jeans, brushing the edge of her phone.

But before she could pull it out—

A rough hand grabbed her wrist, yanking it back.

She gasped, turning to find herself surrounded. Four towering men circled her. One of them ripped the phone from her hand. Another pressed the cold mouth of a gun against her temple.

"Walk," the man growled.

Her legs turned to lead, but she obeyed, heart pounding, hands shaking, breath shallow. They led her toward one of the dark structures at the far end of the site.

Inside, dim light filtered through a broken window.

And then she saw him.

A man sat on a chair, arms resting casually, as if he’d been waiting. He looked up slowly as she entered.

His gaze swept over her with the kind of filth that made her skin crawl.

He smirked.

She felt her stomach twist in fear and disgust.

And she knew—this was just the beginning.

Friends, that's all for today. I will write the rest in the next part.

Hi friends, welcome back 💖

Lets start the story

The girl’s stomach twisted with discomfort under the predator’s gaze. She quickly averted her eyes, looking around nervously—until her gaze dropped.

And then her world collapsed.

There, lying on the ground, was a girl—broken, bloodied, barely recognizable. Her clothes were torn, her body limp.

Her heart stopped. A scream tore from her throat, raw and piercing.

“KIAAARA!!”

Her voice echoed through the hollow structure like a siren of despair. The men flinched, covering their ears at the sheer force of it—but she didn’t care.

She ran—no, stumbled—toward the fallen girl, falling to her knees beside her sister.

“Kiara…” she whispered, tears falling like a storm. She reached out with trembling hands, brushing the blood-matted hair from her sister’s face. Kiara didn’t move.

Her body shook with sobs as the sight burned into her memory.

Grief gave way to fury.

Mayra rose, eyes ablaze, and faced the man on the chair.

“What the hell have you done to her?!” she screamed.

“If anything happens to my sister, I swear—I’ll destroy every one of you!”

The man rose slowly, mock fear painted on his face as he cowered behind one of his henchmen.

“Oh no, the little lioness roars,” he jeered. “I’m so scared.” Then he threw his head back and laughed—a wild, deranged sound.

He walked toward her, grabbed a fistful of her hair, and hissed in her face,

“I haven’t done anything yet. But now… I feel like doing it to both sisters. Together.”

The words were venom. Without thinking, Mayra slapped him with all her strength.

CRACK.

His head snapped to the side. Silence. Then slow, simmering rage.

His ego ignited.

“You’ll regret that,” he seethed. He turned to his men.

“Tie them to the pillar. Burn this place to the ground.”

Panic surged. Mayra fought, screamed, begged—but it was too late.

They were dragged and bound to a thick concrete pillar. Kiara, still unconscious, was tied tightly beside her. Wooden planks and fuel surrounded them like a trap ready to spring.

Then came the flame.

A small spark. A hiss. Then fire roared to life, hungrily devouring everything in its path.

The men vanished, leaving behind only smoke, heat, and death.

Mayra coughed, struggling against the ropes, desperate.

“Kiara… please, wake up… Kiara!”

A soft groan.

Kiara’s eyes fluttered open, confusion and fear dawning as she saw the fire rising around them.

“Mayra…?” she croaked.

“I’m here, I’m right here,” Mayra cried, leaning as close as the restraints allowed.

Kiara’s lips trembled. “You shouldn’t have come…”

“I had to,” Mayra said softly. “You’re my sister. If I had to die to find you, so be it. I don’t regret it.”

Tears welled in Kiara’s eyes. She reached out, her fingers brushing against Mayra’s.

“We made mistakes, Mayra… in this life. So many mistakes.”

Mayra nodded through her tears.

“If we ever get another chance… we’ll make it right.”

“Promise me…” Kiara whispered, her voice fading.

“I promise.”

And with that, Kiara exhaled—slow, peaceful… final. Her eyes closed, her hand slipping from Mayra’s grasp.

“No—Kiara, no! Stay with me!” Mayra screamed, sobbing. She shook with desperation, but Kiara didn’t move.

As the flames surged closer, smoke clouding her vision, Mayra whispered through her tears,

“We’ll find each other again… in another life.”

Then, everything went still.

Two sisters.

One bond.

One fire.

By the time the blaze died, all that remained was ash—and a promise waiting to be fulfilled.

Friends, that's all for today. I will write the rest in the next part.

She had returned

Hi friends, welcome back 💖

Lets start the story

A soft beam of sunlight crept through the sheer curtains, falling delicately across the face of a girl lying motionless on a pristine white bed. Her skin looked pale against the soft fabric, lips slightly parted, chest rising and falling faintly.

Beside her, a six-year-old boy sat on the edge of the bed—silent, still, and watching her with wide, tearful eyes.

Aakay.

His little fingers clutched the corner of her bedsheet as if afraid she might disappear again. He didn’t blink. He didn’t move. He just… waited.

And then—her lashes fluttered.

Her brows twitched. Her breathing deepened.

A moment later, her eyes opened slowly, as though waking from a dream she wasn’t ready to leave.

The moment her gaze met the ceiling, Aakay’s entire face lit up. He gasped silently and bounced on the bed, a small smile breaking across his tear-streaked cheeks. He clapped softly, overwhelmed, unable to contain his joy.

She blinked at him, disoriented. Her head throbbed. Her legs ached. Confusion wrapped around her like a fog.

Still, her eyes locked onto the child’s face.

His smile. His eyes.

He looked so familiar.

She slowly pushed herself up, wincing. Her body felt sore, like it had carried pain from another time. She reached out and cupped the boy’s face gently.

“Aakay…?”

Her voice was barely a whisper.

She pulled him into her arms, hugging him tightly, as tears slipped down her cheeks. The warmth of his little body, the comfort of his presence—it was real. Too real.

Then her expression changed.

Her brows furrowed.

“Didn’t I… die?” she asked under her breath, her voice trembling with disbelief.

Her eyes scanned the room, heart thudding in her chest.

This wasn’t heaven.

It wasn’t a dream.

It was something far more unbelievable.

She hugged Aakay tighter, her fingers trembling. Her mind flooded with memories—fire, screams, the feeling of being torn from life itself.

But now she was here. Alive.

She kissed Aakay’s forehead with trembling lips. A quiet sob escaped her.

Then, her eyes moved past the boy… and froze.

A man sat on a sofa across the room. Silent. Observing.

He was tall, dressed in a crisp black shirt with sleeves rolled just below his elbows. His wheatish skin glowed subtly in the morning light, and his jawline was clean-shaven, sharp, and defined.

But it was his eyes that held her still—deep, unreadable, and cold.

He didn’t smile. He didn’t flinch. He just stared at her like she was a puzzle he hadn’t decided whether to solve.

Kiara’s heart skipped a beat.

Mihir.

He was here.

She looked at him for a long moment, her breath caught somewhere between shock and disbelief.

He rose from the sofa and walked to the edge of the bed. The sound of his polished shoes against the floor echoed in the stillness.

Then he turned to the nanny standing at the door.

“Take Aakay.”

The nanny nodded.

Aakay clung to Kiara’s arm, clearly unwilling to leave. He looked between his mother and Mihir with wide eyes.

But when Mihir gave him a stern look, the boy hesitated, then slowly let go and walked away with the nanny, his steps heavy and reluctant.

Kiara watched the door close behind him.

And then… silence.

Mihir turned to her.

“Thank you,” he said calmly. “You saved Aakay from falling today.”

His voice was even. Measured. Almost… indifferent.

Kiara didn’t reply. She simply stared at him, trying to make sense of this surreal reality.

She slowly brought her fingers to her arm and pinched herself hard.

It hurt.

Not a dream.

Her chest tightened.

She had been reborn.

And if she had returned… then maybe—

“Mayra…?” she whispered inwardly, her throat drying.

Her thoughts scattered again when Mihir stepped closer.

“Miss Kiara…” he said with polite detachment.

The title stung.

Still “Miss.” Still a stranger in his eyes.

She finally met his gaze. Her heart twisted at the distance between them.

He hadn’t changed. Not even a little.

He was still the same man she had married—not out of love, but out of necessity. Their marriage was a contract. An arrangement. Nothing more.

And yet, despite the coldness, despite knowing he loved someone else… she had fallen for him.

Silently. Completely. Without expectations.

She swallowed the lump in her throat and spoke quietly, her voice echoing the emptiness in his.

“I’m fine.”

A pause.

Then she added softly, without looking at him—

“You can go now.”

Mihir looked at her for a moment, unreadable as ever.

Then, without a word, he turned and walked out of the room, leaving her alone in the silence.

But as the door clicked shut behind him, a single tear rolled down Kiara’s cheek.

She had returned.

But the pain she left behind… had followed her.
