Series Name: Football Life Episode 1 Title: A Star Is Born

Series Name: Football Life

Episode 1 Title: A Star Is Born

Date: May 5, 1998

Setting: A small public hospital in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

🏥 Scene 1: The Birth

In the quiet early hours of May 5, 1998, we meet a couple inside the maternity ward of a modest hospital.

The man is Chinedu Obasi, a kind-hearted, ambitious Nigerian who moved to Brazil years ago chasing a football dream.

The woman is Isabela Fernández Rocha, a beautiful and strong-willed woman of Brazilian and Argentine descent, who runs a tricycle (keke) business and absolutely loves football.

They already have two beautiful daughters:

Camila Obasi

Valentina Obasi

Now, Isabela is in labor with their third child.

🩺 The Labor Scene:

Isabela is sweating, gripping Chinedu’s hand tightly. Nurses guide her through the process.

Nurse: “Push, senhora, push!”

Chinedu whispers prayers in Igbo, “Chineke, biko mee ka ọ dịrị ya mfe…”

After intense pushing, the sound of a newborn baby crying fills the room.

Doctor: “It’s a boy!”

Tears roll down Chinedu’s cheeks. Isabela smiles weakly.

👶 The Naming:

Back in the room, holding the baby close, Chinedu looks into his son’s eyes.

Chinedu: “I will name you Thiago Chukwuebuka Obasi.”

Thiago – a common South American name, popular in Brazil and Argentina, meaning “May God protect.”

Chukwuebuka – an Igbo name from Nigeria meaning “God is great.”

Isabela (smiling): “Beautiful name… for a future legend.”

⚽ Chinedu's Football Past:

Chinedu played as an amateur striker for a small community team called Rio Verde FC, based in a local favela. He never made it pro, but his passion for football burns strong.

🏡 Life at Home:

Even though they are poor, the family lives with pride, laughter, and love. They gift baby Thiago a tiny plastic football as his first toy. At just three years old, in 2000, Thiago runs around the small living room, kicking the ball into walls.

📺 2000: Thiago’s First Football Memory

One afternoon, watching a football documentary on their old box TV, Thiago points at the screen.

Thiago: “Mama! I want to see Madrona play with Zidane and Ronaldo!”

Isabela (laughing): “Aww, meu amor… Maradona has retired. You’re a little late.”

Thiago (pouting): “Ohhh…”

Then he picks up his ball and keeps playing, pretending to be all three legends at once—dribbling like Maradona, passing like Zidane, and scoring like Ronaldo.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Family Names Recap:

Father: Chinedu Obasi (Nigerian)

Mother: Isabela Fernández Rocha (Brazilian/Argentinian)

Daughters:

Camila Obasi

Episode 2 Title: Thiago and the Camera Dream

Year: 2005

Thiago’s Age: 7

⚽ Street Football and Dreams

Thiago, now 7 years old, is full of energy and passion for football. He plays every evening on the dusty streets of their neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro. His ball? A rough one made of:

Old rags

Gum

Tied up with a wrapper

He calls it "Bola de Sonho" (Dream Ball).

📱 Discovery of YouTube (2005)

One day, Thiago is home early after playing. He sees his mother’s old Motorola flip phone charging.

Curious, he picks it up and opens the browser (slow and old-style). Somehow, he stumbles on a newly created website.

Thiago (reading aloud slowly): “You…Tube…”

It was actually meant to be a video dating platform in its early days, but Thiago, being innocent and 7 years old, has no clue. He just sees it as a place where you can upload videos.

🧠 Creating His Channel

Thiago decides to make an account.

Username: ThiagoSkills10

Email: thiagoskills10@gmail.com

Password: bola123dream

Name: Thiago Chukwuebuka Obasi

When it asks:

"Describe yourself (Must be 13 or older)"

Thiago lies and types:

“I am 14. I love football. I will be a star. Ronaldinho is my uncle.” 😅

He doesn’t understand how to create a banner, so he skips it.

For the profile picture, he places his homemade rag ball gently on the ground, uses the phone camera, and snaps a picture. That becomes his official channel pic.

🎥 First Video Ever – "Thiago's Penalty King"

Thiago grabs the phone again one afternoon and calls his neighbor and best friend, Mateo Rodriguez, to be the goalkeeper.

They go to a dusty area beside a wall with two big stones as goalposts.

Thiago places the ball.

He takes three small steps back, runs…

BOOM! He shoots it to the bottom-left corner.

Mateo dives right—too late. GOAL!

Thiago (cheering): “GOOOOOAAALLLLL!”

He records everything—shaky but loud. At the end, he says:

“Subscribe or… I cry!”

He posts it immediately and titles it:

“MY FIRST PENALTY – Thiago Football Channel ⚽🔥”

Even though no one watches it yet, he smiles and whispers:

“This is just the beginning.”

Episode 3 Title: Views Are Low, But My Dreams Are High

Time Skip Year: 2009

Thiago’s Age: 11

Date: December 5, 2009

⚽ Scene 1: The Grind

From age 7 to 11, Thiago plays football every single day. Whether it’s raining, burning hot, or cold, you can always find him on the street or behind their old house:

Barefoot, kicking his rag-wrapped ball

Doing drills alone, like passing against a wall

Practicing freestyle skills under a tree with shadows acting like defenders

Waking up early before school and sneaking in late-night training when his parents sleep

He’s not just passionate—he’s obsessed. People in the neighborhood call him:

“O Menino da Bola” (The Ball Boy)

📉 Scene 2: YouTube Reality

One night, Thiago sneaks his mom's old phone again and opens YouTube to check his channel: ThiagoSkills10.

He taps the screen slowly and sees the sad truth:

Subscribers: 4 (all friends from school)

Views on first video: 12

Likes: 1 (probably from himself 😂)

He stares at the screen in silence.

Thiago (quietly): “Maybe I’m not ready…”

He doesn’t cry. He just puts the phone down and tells himself:

“Let me focus on my football. When it’s time, the world will find me.”

He stops uploading videos… but he never stops training.

⏳ Time Skip: December 5, 2009

Thiago is now 11 years old, taller, stronger, faster. His dreams are even bigger now.

He borrows his mom's new secondhand Tecno phone, sets it on a stack of books, and records a new video. Title:

🎯 “Penalty Challenge for 5 Hours – No Rest” ⚽

🎥 Scene 3: The New Video

Thiago starts the video by looking into the camera:

“Hey, my name is Thiago Obasi. I’m 11. I love football more than sleep. Today, I’m shooting penalties for 5 hours. Let’s go.”

He marks a small goal on a wall using chalk and stone.

The ball is still rag-made, but more stable now—wrapped tighter.

He shoots:

Left corner

Right corner

Middle

Over and over

Sweat dripping

Shirt soaked

After 2 hours, he falls… but stands back up.

At the end of the video, he smiles tiredly into the camera:

“No views? I don’t care. I’ll still be the best.”

He posts it the same night. Views? Maybe 3 at first… but this time, something’s different—a spark has been lit.

🎮 Intro Scene: The Idea

Thiago is sitting under a tree with his close friends:

Mateo Rodriguez – funny, tall, always the goalkeeper

João Miguel – fast runner, always loves Ronaldo Nazário

Rico Alvarez – short, strong, Maradona fanatic

They’re drinking water after a hot match when Thiago suddenly jumps up.

Thiago: “Guys! Let’s make a video… we’ll score like Maradona, Zidane, and Ronaldo Nazário!”

Rico: “Like, exactly how they did?”

Thiago: “Yeah. The moves, the goals… everything!”

Mateo: “I call being the keeper... but I won’t go easy.”

📹 The Video Title:

“Scoring 10 Goals Like Maradona, Zidane, and Ronaldo Nazário – Real Life Football Tribute”

⚽ Goal 1–3: Maradona Goals

Hand of God Reenactment

Thiago jumps with his fist slightly raised after a lofted pass, lightly tapping it into the goal.

“Hand of Thiago!” Mateo yells laughing.

Dribbling Through the Pitch

Rico pretends to be Maradona, dribbling from halfway past João, Thiago, and even Mateo, faking a shot, rounding the keeper, and placing it in.

Everyone claps. “You got the spirit, bro!” Thiago says.

Mad Dribble & Wild Shot

Thiago tries a move: dribbling fast, faking two defenders, then twisting his body and shooting left… but the ball curves back RIGHT INTO THE NET!

“Broooo! That was crazy!” João shouts.

⚽ Goal 4–6: Zidane Goals

2002 Champions League Final Volley

Thiago tosses the ball up, turns his body sideways like Zidane in the UCL Final…

BOOM! A clean left-foot volley into the top corner.

“Zidane would be proud,” Rico whispers.

Zidane Turn + Curl

João does a roulette (Zidane turn) on Thiago, steps forward, and curls the ball around Mateo to the far post.

Volley With Bounce

Thiago receives a bouncing pass from Rico, lets it bounce once, and volleys it with his right foot. The ball spins weirdly… Mateo dives…

GOAL! “That’s that Zidane magic!” Thiago says.

⚽ Goal 7–10: Ronaldo Nazário Goals

Impossible Angle Goal

João throws the ball up, chests it down, and quickly hits a first-time volley from a near-impossible angle. It flies into the bottom right.

“That’s Ronaldoooo!” Rico screams.

Stepovers + Finish

Thiago does 5 fast stepovers, fakes left, goes right, and toe-pokes it under Mateo.

Mateo: “You didn’t have to embarrass me like that.” 😂

Backheel Flick Goal

Rico runs onto a ball, does a backheel flick while running, and it rolls straight in.

One-on-One Cool Finish

João gets a through-ball, faces Mateo, does a small body feint, and passes it calmly into the bottom left.

🎬 Ending Scene:

They all lie on the ground, laughing and exhausted.

Thiago looks at the phone screen and smiles.

Thiago: “One day… people will search our names like they do Maradona, Zidane, and Ronaldo.”

Mateo: “As long as I’m not the keeper in that memory.” 😂

Thiago posts the video online that night.

🕒 Scene 1: Realizing the Mix-Up

Thiago is editing his new video, “15 Impossible Goals for the New Year,” and is about to upload it. As he checks the title:

“15 Impossible Goals for the New Year – ThiagoSkills10 Special (2020)”

He suddenly freezes.

Thiago (muttering to himself): “Wait… what did I just say?”

Thiago: “I said 2020? Oh no!”

He laughs, shaking his head.

Thiago: “It's 2010! I’m a little ahead of myself.”

Then, he chuckles and posts the video with the mix-up still in the title.

🎮 Scene 2: The New Year Surprise

Date: January 1, 2010, Thiago’s 12th birthday.

Thiago walks into the living room, expecting just a quiet family celebration. But his dad, Chinedu, hands him a brand-new PlayStation 2.

Thiago (excited): “No way!! A PS2?”

Chinedu (laughing): “Happy birthday, son! I know how much you love gaming and football. Time to level up.”

Isabela, Camila, and Valentina, Thiago’s cousins, also join in, holding a gift bag.

Isabela: “Happy birthday, Thiago! We got you something too!”

They hand Thiago FIFA 09 for PS2.

Thiago: “FIFA 09?! This is epic!”

Then, Camila adds: “And we got FIFA 10!”

Thiago (grinning wide): “FIFA 10?! Are you serious?”

Chinedu grins and ruffles his hair.

Chinedu: “Oh, and I did a little something extra. I figured I could get you FIFA 10 through some... connections. You’ll be playing the best version soon enough.”

After the match ends, Thiago is happy with how it turned out.

Thiago (talking to the camera): “That was one insane match. I’ve been playing this game for hours and still can’t get enough! I hope you all enjoy this video.”
