Crimson Chains: Bound to the Devil

The Devil’s Proposal

The streets of the city were alive with the hum of late-night activity, but for Zera, they felt like a prison. The air tasted of smoke and rain, and every step she took echoed her growing unease. She couldn’t remember the last time she’d felt truly free, and she had no idea where she was running to anymore. The shadows clung to her like old memories, reminding her that she had nowhere to hide.

She had been running for what felt like hours, weaving through alleys and side streets, trying to outrun the dangerous world she had unwittingly been born into. But fate had other plans.

It was then that she saw him. Standing at the end of the alley, his silhouette was a dark, imposing figure. Even in the dim light, she could make out the sharp features of his face—a man carved from stone, with eyes that glowed like embers in the night. His presence seemed to distort the air around him, as if the very fabric of reality bent to his will.

Ares King. The name alone was enough to make even the bravest tremble. He was the mafia king, the one who ruled over the underground with an iron fist and a heart as cold as death itself. There was no one who didn’t fear him. And yet, here he was, watching her with an unreadable expression, as though he knew exactly what was going through her mind.

Zera stopped in her tracks, her pulse quickening.

"What do you want?"

Ares didn’t respond immediately. Instead, he stepped closer, his presence suffocating. His cold eyes locked onto hers, and for a moment, the world seemed to pause. She could feel the power emanating from him, like a force she couldn’t even begin to understand.

"I’ve been watching you, Zera," he said, his voice deep and smooth, like the whisper of a storm. "I know what you want. And I know what you're running from."

She scoffed, her fear momentarily giving way to defiance. "You know nothing about me."

"Oh, but I do," he replied with a sinister smile. "I know you’re desperate, that you’ve been pushed to your breaking point. You have nowhere to turn, no one to trust. But I can offer you a way out." His eyes gleamed with something darker, something that made her skin crawl. "A deal. A contract."

Zera’s throat went dry. "What kind of deal?"

Ares took a step closer, the distance between them shrinking until she could feel the heat of his presence. "A contract that will bind you to me. You’ll become my wife—my queen of the shadows. In exchange, I will give you everything you’ve ever dreamed of. Power. Protection. And, of course, the one thing you crave most: freedom from your past."

Zera’s heart raced, the weight of his words crashing into her like a tidal wave. She had heard rumors—whispers of his cruelty, his unrelenting control over everything that crossed his path. She had been warned about him, but this… this was different. He was offering her a way out, but at what cost?

"Why me?" she asked, her voice trembling despite herself. "Why would you want me?"

"Because, Zera," he said, his voice low and haunting, "you have something most people don’t. You have fire. And I can’t resist the burn."

She felt a shiver run down her spine as his gaze burned through her. It was like a magnet pulling her in, despite every instinct telling her to run. She wanted to say no, to push him away and escape this nightmare. But she knew that was impossible. The world he lived in didn’t allow for escape. And the darker truth was that she didn’t want to run anymore. She wanted the power he offered—she wanted the chance to finally take control of her life.

"You don’t have to agree," Ares continued, his voice almost gentle now. "But know this: there is no escaping me, Zera. You’re already bound to me by fate. All I’m offering is the choice to make it official."

Her mind raced, torn between fear and the overwhelming pull of his presence. Her past had shaped her into someone who couldn’t trust anyone. And yet, this man—this devil who seemed to embody everything dark and dangerous—was offering her something she couldn’t refuse.

But was she falling for a monster… or could she be the light that saved him from the darkness?

As Ares stepped forward, his lips brushing against her ear, he whispered, "Make your choice, Zera. The war between fate and fire has already begun."

And with that, she knew. There was no going back.

Episode 2

Zera stood there, her heart pounding in her chest, as the weight of Ares’ proposal hung in the air like an unspoken curse. The city around her buzzed with life, but it felt like they were in a world of their own, locked in this strange, dangerous moment. She didn’t know what to think, didn’t know what to feel. All she knew was that everything was about to change.

Ares didn’t wait for her to respond immediately. He simply studied her, as if reading her every thought. His eyes, dark and unyielding, never left her face, and for the first time in her life, Zera felt truly exposed. The thought of walking away from him, of rejecting the contract, felt like stepping into a void—a void she had no idea how to escape.

“You’ve been living a lie, Zera,” Ares said, his voice breaking the silence. It was smooth and calm, yet every word carried a weight of truth that was impossible to ignore. “You’ve been running from your past, but your past will always follow you. No matter how far you run.”

Zera swallowed hard, trying to push the fear down. She had never let anyone control her life, never allowed anyone to dictate her choices. But Ares—there was something about him that was different. His power, his confidence, it was magnetic. The promise of freedom, of power, was intoxicating.

“I’ve already made my choice,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper. It surprised her how calm she sounded, even as her insides twisted with uncertainty.

Ares stepped closer, his presence overwhelming. He was so close now that Zera could feel the heat radiating off of him. She wanted to take a step back, to escape, but she was frozen in place. His gaze held her captive, and she couldn’t look away.

“You’re smart, Zera,” Ares said, his lips curling into a grin. “Most people would have run by now. But not you. You understand the weight of the world we live in. The price of survival.”

Zera didn’t respond. She didn’t know what to say. The man who stood before her was a monster, but a monster with a purpose. He was a king in a world where only the strongest survived. And maybe, just maybe, she could use that strength to take back control of her life.

Without a word, Ares extended his hand, the gesture calm and commanding. Zera looked at his hand, then back at his face. There was no going back. This was the moment that would define her future. She had already seen the darkness in his eyes, the shadows that clung to him like a second skin. But she also saw something else—something she couldn’t quite place. Was it humanity? Or was it just another game?

Zera hesitated for only a moment before taking his hand. She felt a shock of electricity run through her, and a shiver raced down her spine. The contract was sealed, not in ink, but in something far deeper. Something that bound her to him in ways she couldn’t yet comprehend.

“The deal is done,” Ares said, his voice low, almost a whisper. “You are mine, Zera. From this moment forward, you will walk in the shadows with me. Together, we’ll rule this world.”

Zera felt a strange sense of power surge through her. She had always believed she was meant for more than the life she had known. Maybe this was her chance to rise above the chaos and take control. But with Ares, there was no telling what would happen next. Was she walking into her own destruction? Or was she about to become something more?

As Ares turned to lead her through the alley, a sense of finality washed over her. She was no longer just a girl on the run. She was something more. She was part of his world now—a world of danger, obsession, and power. A world where love and betrayal would collide, and where every decision could be her last.

Zera had no idea what the future held. But one thing was certain: she was about to step into a storm of passion, darkness, and danger. And she would either be consumed by it… or rise above it. ⚡️

Episode 3

The city’s skyline gleamed under the moonlight, a reflection of the dangerous world Zera had just entered. Every step she took felt heavier, as though the weight of her decision was sinking into her soul with each passing second. Ares’ presence loomed over her like a shadow, an ever-present reminder of the contract she had signed with her own uncertainty.

Zera wasn’t sure what she had expected when she agreed to Ares’ proposal. The reality of it hit harder than she could’ve imagined. She thought she was stepping into something calculated, something she could control. But now, with every breath she took, she could feel the tension building between them, the magnetism that was pulling her deeper into his world.

Ares walked ahead, his strides confident, almost regal. He was the king of shadows, the man whose very name sent tremors through the underground. His aura was undeniable, but there was something more—something about him that left Zera questioning everything she thought she knew.

Zera had always been a fighter, never one to let anyone control her. But with Ares, there was an undeniable pull. The way he moved, the way he spoke, the way he seemed to know exactly what she was thinking. She couldn’t explain it, but every moment spent near him felt like a battle between resistance and surrender.

As they entered a dark, luxurious penthouse, Zera’s breath caught in her throat. The place was a world of its own—opulent yet cold, a reflection of the man who lived there. Dark walls, sleek furniture, and an overwhelming sense of power surrounded her. Ares’ kingdom, his empire, was built on strength and fear, but there was also an undeniable beauty in it.

He motioned for her to sit on a plush sofa, his eyes never leaving her face. “Welcome to your new home,” he said, his voice laced with a hint of amusement. “Or should I say, our new home?”

Zera remained silent, unsure of what to say. She had been thrust into a life she had never imagined for herself. A life where the rules were different, where power and control defined every interaction.

“You don’t have to stay silent, Zera,” Ares said, his tone softening for a brief moment. “I’m not your enemy… yet.”

Yet. The word echoed in her mind, and for the first time, she felt a chill that had nothing to do with the cold air of the penthouse. Ares wasn’t her enemy—at least, not yet. But he was no hero either. The man before her had built an empire on violence and manipulation. He was a king, but his throne was made of darkness.

Zera’s eyes met his, and for a moment, the tension between them was palpable. It was like a spark waiting to ignite, the beginning of something neither of them could control. “What happens now?” she asked, her voice steady despite the turmoil inside her. “What do you want from me, Ares?”

He leaned forward, his gaze never leaving hers. “I want everything, Zera. But most of all, I want you to understand that this is no ordinary partnership. You and I—our destinies are intertwined now. And I’ll do whatever it takes to keep you by my side.”

The intensity in his voice was undeniable, and for the first time, Zera felt a flicker of fear mixed with something else—something that felt dangerous. She didn’t want to be controlled. She didn’t want to be trapped in his world. But there was a part of her that couldn’t deny the allure of his power, his confidence, the way he seemed to know what she needed before she did.

Ares reached out, brushing a stray lock of hair from her face, his touch sending a wave of heat through her. “You’re not just a pawn, Zera,” he whispered. “You’re something more. And whether you like it or not, we’re bound together. There’s no escape now.”

Zera swallowed, the weight of his words settling in her chest. She was in too deep to back out now. She was tangled in his web of power, desire, and control. The question wasn’t whether she could escape—no, it was whether she could survive the storm that was Ares King.

But one thing was certain—no matter how strong the pull between them, Zera was no stranger to the darkness. She had her own fire, and she wasn’t afraid to use it. The question was: Would Ares be her salvation… or her destruction?
