Retribution
Episode 1
Her debt got higher as she didn't pay for weeks. Her salary wasn't enough for the debt she paid, but luckily the debt collector gave her a week to solve the problem.
She rushed inside the room looking through the computer for a job. Unfortunately, after a few hours she couldn't find one.
Rhea
*Sigh*, "I couldn't find one... what should I do...there is no way that there are no available hiring here...
Suddenly her phone rang before her, and she took it and answered.
Elena
"Hey girl! I was wondering if you are free tonight, we can have a drink... there is a bar nearby but, don't worry it's on me."
Rhea
"I can't. I have to find a job. My debt is rising and I only have a week to solve it."
Elena
Ohh come on. There's still tomorrow and besides only tonight. It's been a while since we've been drinking.
Elena said her tone is sincere, almost sarcastic.
Rhea
"Seriously Elena, I told you I can't"
Elena
"Who says you can't though? Come on girl, it's only tonight and like I said, it's on me."
Rhea
"Ohh really? Yeah right, last time you said that and in the end, I'm the one who ended up paying instead," *rolls her eyes*.
Elena
*laughs* "Yeah but, this time it's on me, I promise."
Rhea
*Sigh* "Alright then.."
Elena
*Smiles widely* "Great! I see you at 8 in the 'Xoxo Bar'."
Rhea hung up and sighed looking up at the ceiling staring at it blankly.
She stood up and walked towards the closet, deciding what to wear. She wears a sleek black dress, a pair of earrings, and a pair of killer heels.
A few minutes later after a 15-minute ride, she made it into a bar at exactly 8 pm.
She looked around, looking for any signs for Elena in the crowded place.
Elena
"Hey Rhea! Over here!"
Rhea
*looks at her and smiles softly*, "ohh hey Elena "
Elena
"glad you're here, let's go I can't wait!"
As they talked, taking a drink, Elena took Rhea to the dance floor, dancing together as they enjoyed the night ahead.
Rhea
"umm Elena I'm gonna go out to get some fresh air I'll be right back".
Rhea went outside and took some fresh air
Rhea
*looks at her phone and is looking for job applications* (hmmm I wonder if there is one)
Meanwhile in the other room, the VIP room was full of laughter and murmurs of business and so on.
Isabel
"heh... I didn't know this could be fun and yeah how was it"?
Keziah
"hmmm... I guess it's not bad at all. But seriously though, why are we here?"
Isabel
"ohh just wanna have some fun after a very tiring job. After all it's day off tomorrow."
Keziah took the glass of wine in her hands and took a sip, having a conversation with Isabel.
As the moment passed by, Keziah stood up and looked at Isabel with those black eyes.
Keziah
"Excuse me for a minute, I want to go for fresh air."
Keziah walked away, leaving Isabel with the others as she went out and took out a cigarette and lit it up.
Rhea was still outside anxiously swipe through the website but, still couldn't find one and let out a defeated sigh.
Rhea
(hayy there still none and I don't know what to do)
Rhea
(But still, I couldn't just give up and let the debt go higher again.)
While thinking, Rhea suddenly heard a thud and got surprised
Rhea
(huh?? What is going on in there?)
Out of curiosity, Rhea came closer to see what it was.
Suddenly the person was thrown out in the nearby bin and got hurt badly.
To her surprise, she froze and couldn't move thinking what she would do.
The night we met
Rhea froze as she was thinking what she should do.
She looked around to see a tall woman standing before her. A muscular one and with those black hair that lingers to her face and the woman looks at her with those black eyes.
Rhea
(woah... I've never seen her before...she looks majestic)
Keziah
"You know, it's rude to stare at someone."
Rhea was surprised and felt embarrassed.
Keziah
"But really though, you shouldn't be here alone, Binibini."
Keziah
"Some might do something to you."
Rhea
"ohhh I will I-i'm here with my friend tonight."
Keziah
"hmm... okay then if you say so... ohh by the way, binibini may I know your name? I'm Keziah by the way."
Keziah went closer to her, but kept a distance between them. Keziah looks at her with those black eyes, standing right in front of her and lit her cigarette and smoke. The smoke mingled in the air that the two of them looked at each other, like a predator and its prey.
Rhea
"ohh..uhh... I'm Rhea, nice to meet you."
Rhea smiles back at her and looks at her as she thinks something.
Rhea
(Keziah? She seems familiar)
Keziah
"Ohh haha you seem to zone out. What's on your mind, Binibini Rhea?"
Rhea
"Ohh... it's nothing it just seems like you're familiar."
Keziah
"Familiar? Oh is that so? *smirks at her*.
Rhea
"Yeah...but nevermind. *smiles at her*
Keziah
"Well since the night is still young, how about I give you a drink? My treat."
Rhea was surprised, caught off guard by Keziah's offer. Rhea was having a second thought but decided to accept her offer.
Keziah
*Smiles warmly* Great. Let me take you inside, Binibini Rhea.
Keziah offers her hand in a way a gentleman should to his lady. Keziah put a smile on her face that makes Rhea melt like an ice cream.
Rhea takes her hands as a sign and both of them went back inside the bar and Keziah ordered a drink.
As the night went on, the two of them were having a conversation, like two good friends who still close after a long time.
After a while, Their conversation was interrupted by a phone rang as Keziah picked it up, Putting her other hand into her pockets.
Keziah
📞: "Hello? What is it this time"? *in a serious and firm tone*
Isabel
📞: "Where are you? It's been half an hour, and you didn't come back. Is there something wrong with you?"
Keziah
📞: "Ohh I'm fine there's a man trying to threaten me but don't worry, I beat his ass." *chuckles softly*
Isabel
*sigh* 📞:" Seriously, I thought there something bad happen to you, but I realized you handle it to yourself." *chuckles*
Isabel
📞: "But there is someone looking for you. It's about the deal you had with him about the gang situation. He needs you to come here now."
Keziah paused for a moment, she sighed in frustration as she remembered the deal. Meanwhile Rhea listens to their conversation, her curiosity piqued and looks at Keziah's serious and cold expression, finding it intimidating.
Keziah
📞: "Yeah whatever… Tell him I'll be there in a minute."
Keziah hung up without waiting for a response and looked at Rhea with a smile on her face.
Keziah
"Sorry, there was an emergency I had to attend. Well it was nice meeting you, Binibini Rhea. I'll see you in another night?
Rhea
"Ohh that's alright I understand. But sure I'll see you next time." *smiles warmly*
Rhea
"I had fun tonight thanks to you,Keziah."
Keziah
"You're mostly welcome. Goodbye."
Keziah waved at her dismissively as she stood up and walked away. Rhea also waves back before Keziah leaves, she watches at her from afar before her figure disappears into the crowd.
The next day, Rhea was just doing her morning routine before she went to her desk, hoping to find a job through websites.
Rhea
(I hope I get to find a good one)
Rhea
(Because, I only have a week, so I better get in a hurry)
In the past for two hours, Rhea hopelessly gave up as she still couldn't find one through websites.
Rhea
*sigh in annoyance* (Why couldn't I find one? It's still the same as I found a few days ago)
As she was about to look through it again, her phone rang and immediately caught her off guard.
She took her phone and saw an unknown number. Curiosity gets the better of her, she answers the phone call, slightly confused.

📞: "Hi, good morning Binibini Rhea."
Phone call

📞: "Hi, good morning Binibini Rhea."
Rhea
📞: "H-how did you know my name?"
The unknown woman chuckled softly at Rhea's reaction, finding it amusing.
...
📞: "Well Binibini, did you forget about me? Ouch, it hurts you know." *in a teasing tone*
Rhea
📞: "Well who are you?" ( her voice is kinda familiar...)
Rhea paused, thinking for a moment and realization hit her as she immediately recognized the woman.
Keziah
*smiles widely with amusement and laughs softly* 📞:" Guilty as charged. You're right, sorry for not telling you. It was fun to hear you guessing a random woman calling you. It's cute.
Rhea
(haysst this girl...) 📞: "Well that's what I thought. You're the Only person who called me Binibini.
Keziah
📞: " Oh then I must be special, giving you nicknames, Binibini."
Rhea
📞: " By the way, how did you find out my number? I don't remember giving you my number at the bar."
Keziah
📞: " Well let's just say... I had ways to get your number."
Rhea
(Seriously?? What ways??)
Rhea
📞: " Hmm I wonder what ways...but yeah you're really something."
Keziah
📞: "Maybe I am. By the way how are you? I know we just met but, I just wanted to say hi."
Rhea was stunned to reply as she suddenly felt her heart beat fast. Those words that Keziah said got her nervous and something she can't quite understand...
Rhea
(She wants to greet me? Uhh...shit! What should I say?)

(I actually never had someone greet me like this. We just met)
Keziah
📞: "Uhh... hello? Are you still there Binibini?"
Rhea
*came back to her senses and gets embarrassed* 📞: "oh yeah, sorry I suddenly zone out. Oh, and yeah I'm good, how about you?"

📞: "Well actually I'm good, still busy as always."
Rhea
(Busy? Is she at her workplace?)
Rhea
📞: "Oh, I see where are you?"
Keziah
📞: "Oh in my office actually, I just finished my reports and stuff for the company."
Rhea
(I guess she is at her workplace. I wonder if I could ask her about it...)
Rhea
📞: "May I know what company are you in? Just curious..."
Keziah
📞: "Actually in the Blackwood Company."
Rhea
*surprised and speechless* (Blackwood? Isn't that the most popular and strong company in the whole city?)
Rhea
📞: "Ohh really? That's great!... I mean that's amazing. Mostly people are trying to apply for a job there but, some many failed due to its strictness and professionalism. How did you get in?"
Keziah
📞: "Well like I said... Skills and knowledge and yeah...got in."
Keziah chuckled softly at her reaction, finding it amusing.
Keziah
📞: "Well are you satisfied by my answers? Or do you still have any questions?"
Rhea
📞: "Uhh yeah absolutely... Curiosity gets the better of me."
Rhea
📞; "So which means... You're on your lunch break?"
Keziah
📞: "Bingo. Yeah, but it will last an hour before I go back to work. How about you? Do you have a job?"
Rhea
📞: "Uhh... Actually no but I am still trying to find one." it's been two hours since I couldn't find one... to pay off the huge debt I didn't pay for months."
Keziah
📞: "Hmm... I see. How about you should try to apply here at Blackwood Company?"
Rhea was surprised at the sudden advice from Keziah, making her question and thought it internally.
Rhea
📞: "But isn't that the most hard one to apply for? I mean their interview system is the biggest percentage which is the experience and the way they handle it."
Rhea
📞: "Not to mention though, it's 60 percent of the system."
Keziah
📞: "Well we actually had a meeting a while ago, which its confirmed that if you don't have experience from your previous job they have to look through your certificate and other files at where you went for college."
Keziah
"They said that if you did actually pass 90 plus, they will agree and take you in for an interview immediately."
Rhea was surprised and felt hope. Hopefully she had the chance as her heart race.
Rhea
📞: "Ohh really? Then I guess I'll try to apply there. I mean it would be great since I got 90 plus during my college days."
Rhea
" By the way, thanks for telling me that. You really are a great friend."
Keziah
📞: "You're mostly welcome, Binibini."
Rhea
📞: "Well I should hang up, I have to get ready for my files and documents. Goodbye and thanks again!"
Keziah
* chuckles softly* 📞: "Well then goodbye and good luck."
Rhea hung up and stood up abruptly as she rummaged through her drawers, looking for her documents and files.
As hours went by, she picked up all her documents and files, organizing them neatly. She felt excited and grateful for the opportunity she had encountered a while ago.
Thankful to her friend, Keziah, she was given advice and hope for applying to the Blackwood Company.
