The Park house used to be filled with soft laughter and the patter of two little feet
Jimin’s giggles echoing through the home
Mr. and Mrs. Park were parents to a cheerful, wide-eyed little boy, Jimin, and a baby boy who had just started crawling
But happiness has a cruel way of being temporary
It happened on a stormy night
MRS . PARK
His fever isn’t going down 😢
MRS . PARK
(Voice cracked as she cradled her baby in her arms)
Sweat slicking the baby's forehead
MR. PARK
(Ran back from the kitchen, soaked in the rain from trying to call the doctor next door)
MR. PARK
He’s coming, hold on. Just hold him close, okay? 😢
Jimin, only four years old, stood frozen in the corner, clutching his bunny toy, his lower lip trembling.
But the baby never opened his eyes again...
The funeral was quiet. Jimin didn’t cry. He didn’t talk. He didn’t eat. His bunny toy was the only one that understood his silence

But days turned into weeks

One late afternoon, Mr. Park came home early from work

(Placed toast in front of Jimin)

(Paused at Jungkook’s plate… then gave him just a plain slice of bread)

Mr. Park, Jungkook got admission in the same school where Jimin was studying.

(Looks at jungkook)

They sat down at the dining table, empty except for them
Mr. Park had left for work early, as always. And Mrs. Park

(Walked in moments later, dressed immaculately)
MRS . PARK
(Brushed past him like wind, not even glancing his way)

Jimin, don’t forget your appointment with the tutor

(Eyes darkened) I didn’t forget. Jungkook is coming with me
MRS . PARK
He doesn’t need to. He’s not my son

(Quietly sat back down, cutting into his pancake without a word)
MRS . PARK
And tell him to stop wasting food. We don’t need him pretending to be the housekeeper
