Cherry's POV

I was getting ready to go to college though it was still early in the morning, waking up early just felt refreshing to me. I was done with all thing I had to do shower, makeup, get dressed and of course read the bible.

"cherry dear! Breakfast is ready!"

"Coming mom!"

I quickly gathered all my stuff and made my way downstairs towards the dining table

"Is that...what I think it is? Pancakes!?!"

I squealed in excitement when I saw the food in front of me pancakes coated with chocolate and whip cream

"Yes honey now eat up, or you'll be late"

"yes ma"

I washed my hands and sat at the chair

Joining my hands, I closed my eyes and prayed

"Thankyou for this amazing food and family, may your guidance be with me throughout this day amen"

After I opened my eyes I took a big bite of the pancake, eating like I was starved for 1000 years

"slow downisnt going anywhere" chuckled my dad who was reading the newspaper with a cup of tea in hand

"Mom? Dad? I'll be home late today I have extra classes till 7:30 pm"

"Its alright honey just focus on studying okay? Said my mom with a sweet smile on her face

"Yes mom"

I quickly finished my breakfast and placed the plate onto the sink

"Bye mom, bye dad I am leaving!"

I said as I waved bye to my parents and ran out of the house, I saw my best friend Anhar running towards me, her hijab flying behind her

"CHERRY!!!"

"WHAT!?!?!"

"MY BIG BROTHER IS HOME!!!"

"And what am I supposed to do with that information??"

"Well I am inviting you to my house today for...a celebration! He finally became a lawyer!!"

"Omg I am so coming...only for you and the food tho"

"Aweee...anyway let's get going"

Anhar, age 19 we have been best friends since i got here, even though we have different religions, we didn't let it stop us from being best friends.

We stood up for each other, had fun, playedd and laughed together. Maybe we also did cry together. Looking at her makes me realize how lucky I am to have her as a friend, and I am surely grateful for that

Anhar's pov

"Mom! Where is my bag!?!?"

"it's in the drawer beta look"

"oh, thanks mom love ya ill get going now"

As I was leaving the door suddenly opened

"I am home!!"

"Brother!!"

"Mousa! My son!" beamed my dad, his face lighting up with joy

"Dad, mom i finally became a lawyer"

"All thanks to Allah and your handwork"

"hahaha...anhar.? Come give tour brother a hug"

I ran to him as i hugged him

"I missed you so much dear brother"

"I did too Anhar and look I am finally home!"

"I know…but. I have to go to college now bye brother!"

I ran outside the house and started making my way towards my best friend cherry's house
