That’s the first thing Taehyung felt when his eyes fluttered open. The second? Satin sheets underneath him. The third? The blinding gold of a chandelier hanging above.. so ornate it looked straight out of Versailles.

He sat up slowly, wincing. His fingers touched his temple while his wide brown eyes darted around. Marble floors. Velvet drapes. A bed so large it could host ten people. Everything screamed obscene wealth.
The panic bloomed quickly.

His eyes landed on the mirror on the opposite wall. A full-length body mirror, carved with golden roses.
He saw himself… but also, not quite.
The reflection showed him wearing a silk robe.. deep maroon, slipping dangerously off one shoulder. His hair slightly tousled, lips pink, and eyes dazed.
But that wasn’t what made his heart stop.
It was the glowing tattoo on his collarbone.
Written in olden script, delicate yet threatening.

He shot up from the bed, nearly tripping over the thick rug as he rushed to the window. Pulling the curtains aside, he stared in disbelief.

Jungkook closed the door behind him, stepping inside. His gaze roamed slowly, taking in the robe slipping down Taehyung’s shoulder, the flushed cheeks, and the tremble in his lip.

Taehyung collapsed onto the bed, chest heaving.
