(Crosses arms) You took a contract on her, didn’t you?
Ethan Aviel (ml)

Turns back to Ethan, eyes sharp.

Looks like you’re about to see just how messy things can get. Still think you’re not taking sides?
Ethan Aviel (ml)
(Exhales slowly, smirks) Guess we’ll find out.
The room falls silent as the city below hums with danger.

Abandoned warehouse, outskirts of the city. Georgie, Ethan, and Luca step inside. The air is thick with tension.
Luca Moretti
(loading his gun) Intel says they were spotted here an hour ago.
Georgie May Adler (fl)
Then we’re already late. Spread out.
They move cautiously. Ethan walks alongside Georgie, his gaze sharp.

You trust your intel?
Georgie May Adler (fl)
I trust that anyone who lies to me doesn’t live long.

(smirks) Brutal.

Gunfire erupts. Georgie and Ethan fight side by side, moving with deadly precision.
The warehouse fills with smoke and the sound of bullets ricocheting off metal. Georgie takes cover behind a stack of crates, firing at the shadows moving in the distance.

(shouting) They’re not amateurs!

Obviously. Whoever sent them didn’t want us leaving here alive.
Luca Moretti
They knew we were coming. We got played.
Georgie exhales sharply, eyes scanning the area.

(low voice) Or someone wanted to test us.
Ethan looks at her, intrigued.

You think this was a warning?
Georgie May Adler (fl)
(narrowing her eyes) No. I think it was an invitation.
Suddenly, the gunfire stops. Silence takes over. The three exchange cautious glances.

Why did they stop?
Ethan Aviel (ml)
(calmly) Because they got what they wanted.
A single phone buzzes. Georgie pulls out hers and glances at the screen. An unknown number. She answers.

The call ends. Georgie clenches her jaw. Ethan watches her carefully.
