The grand hall shimmered with golden chandeliers, their golden glow illuminating the rich crimson and ivory drapes cascading down the marble walls. The scent of fresh roses and lavender filled the air, mixing with the soft murmur of excited guests. The event was grand, as expected of a union between two of the most influential families in the Omegaverse society.
At the center of it all, Taehyung stood tall, his fingers absently tracing the intricate golden embroidery on his ivory hanbok. His heart pounded—not with fear, but with anticipation. He had known this day would come. An arranged marriage was expected for someone of his status, yet reality still felt overwhelming as he stood at the altar, waiting for his soon-to-be husband.
Jungkook approached, his sharp black suit contrasting against the softness of Taehyung’s attire. His Alpha presence was undeniable—broad shoulders, confident steps, yet his dark eyes held a flicker of uncertainty. Taehyung watched as Jungkook’s gaze swept over him, hesitating for just a fraction of a second before settling into something unreadable.

"You’re fidgeting"
Jungkook murmured, barely moving his lips.
Taehyung blinked, startled by the sudden remark.

"And you’re staring."
Jungkook smirked slightly, tilting his head.

Taehyung narrowed his eyes.

"Different? That’s what you say to your new spouse? Not even a ‘you look stunning’ or ‘I’m honored to marry you, dear Taehyung’?"
Jungkook chuckled under his breath.
Jeon jungkook
"You want flattery? Fine. You look breathtaking."
Taehyung hummed, pretending to consider.

"Hmm. Acceptable."
From the side, Namjoon, the officiant, cleared his throat.
Kim Namjoon
"As much as I enjoy witnessing your verbal sparring, we do have a wedding to conduct."
Seokjin, Namjoon’s Omega mate, stifled a laugh.

"Oh, let them have their fun. It’s not every day you see a couple flirting before they even say their vows."
Taehyung shot Seokjin a wink before turning back to Jungkook.

"Well, Alpha? Ready to be bound to me forever?"
Jungkook exhaled, a faint smirk still playing at his lips.

"I was born ready."
Namjoon shook his head, but the amused glint in his eyes remained.

"Very well. Let’s proceed."
The ceremony continued, filled with ancient traditions and expectant silence. When Jungkook carefully took Taehyung’s hand to slide the ceremonial ring onto his finger, the warmth of his touch sent an unexpected shiver down Taehyung’s spine.

"You have warm hands,"
Jungkook’s eyes flickered with amusement.

"And you’re shaking."

Jungkook leaned in slightly, his voice dropping into something softer.

The moment their vows were sealed, the hall erupted into cheers. Petals rained from above, applause filling the air as the newlyweds turned to face their guests. Their hands were barely touching, yet there was an undeniable tension between them—something neither of them had expected but neither seemed eager to break away from.
From the crowd, Yoongi leaned against Hoseok, murmuring,

"I give it a week before they’re inseparable."
Seokjin sighed dramatically.

"Ah, young love. So much potential for chaos."
The banquet hall was no less extravagant than the ceremony itself. Long tables adorned with golden-rimmed plates and delicate crystal glasses stretched across the grand hall. The scent of roasted meats, fresh fruits, and decadent desserts filled the air. The guests enjoyed their meals and conversations, but all eyes kept drifting back to the newlyweds.
Taehyung picked at the delicate arrangement of food on his plate, aware of Jungkook’s gaze on him.

"You’re staring again."
Jungkook took a sip of his wine before answering,

Taehyung tilted his head.

Taehyung chuckled, twirling his chopsticks between his fingers.

"Well, you’ll have a lifetime to try."

"Looking forward to it."
Seokjin, sitting nearby, nudged Namjoon with a whisper.

"They’re already flirting. I love this."
park Jimin
"I told you, three days. They’re going to fall hard."
As the night wore on, Taehyung found himself relaxing. The initial stiffness between him and Jungkook slowly faded, replaced by something… intriguing. He didn’t expect to enjoy Jungkook’s company this much, nor did he expect the Alpha to be as sharp-witted and teasing as he was.
As the evening drew to a close, Jungkook offered his hand.

"Shall we, wife?"
Taehyung raised a brow but accepted, letting Jungkook lead him away from the crowd. As they walked through the dimly lit halls toward their shared chambers, a thought crossed Taehyung’s mind.
Maybe, just maybe, this arranged marriage wouldn’t be so bad after all.
