Symonne was watching the television with a bowl of snack. Bolo, the family golden retriever, resting on her lap with his eyes shut.

Every one in the family is busy with their own matter. Her dad is on a business trip for a week while her mom is meeting with her friends. Elliot, her older brother, always up to something.

She's in the living room enjoying the peaceful moment she's having. It's not always like this because often her father will be the one in charge with the television. Her mother will set her up to blind date with a friend's son. Her brother will not stopped bothering her until a fight broke out.

The drama she's watching was so interesting that her mouth was opened while her hand still grabbing the snack. Bolo who smells the snack lick her hand. She then notice wetness around her fingers. Realizing what happened she went to the kitchen sink to wash it off.

“Naughty dog. You just ate two bowl of chicken meat and you were easily tempted by the smell of snack.”

Bolo tail is wagging like he was happy being scolded. She rolled her eyes knowing the dog won't learn a lesson.

Symonne was just going to finish her bowl of snack and two episodes of a romance drama when someone knock on the door. She went closer to the door and peek out from the tiny hole of the door lock. All she could see is blurry.

The knocking still continued. Her head was on alert mode. She grabbed the broom.

“Moni! Moni! Moni! Open the door. I'm home.”

It's her brother voice. She sighed out of relief. She opened the door slowly. Standing in front of her is not just his brother. Someone familiar is right next to him. She already forget the person identity.

“Who are you bringing back to home?"

Elliot turned to looked at his friend. He wonder why his sister didn't recognize him.

“You don't remember him? He's Lucas.”

Symonne eyes widened. She remembers it now. This guy used to visit their home often because Elliot is his best friend. They hang out a lot that both of their parents have no problem with them visiting each other house.

“Anyway now that you're home. I'll be heading to my room. You opened the door when mom is home."

“Fine. Go ahead. I'll be in the living room.”

Before heading to her room, Symonne went to have last look on Lucas. He still as handsome as he used to. She then give him a big smile.

“What are you doing, weirdo? Go to your room.”

Elliot voice distracted Symonne. She rolled her eyes. She stopped in front of her room and went back to the living room. Her brother and his friend watched her in confusion. She carried Bolo to her room slowly.

“She is so random.” told Lucas to Elliot.

Elliot raised his shoulder.

Early in the morning, Symonne was woke up by the alarm. Not a morning reminder she set up but her mom alarm. Her peaceful sleep was disturbed that she decided to knock on her mom's door.

“What do you need, sweetie? It's still early so go for more sleep.”

“Right after this, mom. I just want let you know that your alarm is so loud.”

“I am so sorry. I will set it on low volume. You don't have to worry anymore."

Symonne nodded and went to her room. She's about to lay her head on her pillow when somebody knocked the door. She forced herself to opened the door.

“I went out of shampoo. Can I use yours?"

It was her brother asking. She was still sleepy that she nodded her head a few times as an answer.

“Thank you. I'll buy you snacks later.”

After being disturbed for a while, she finally can lay peacefully on the soft mattress. Her eyes was closed tight. She was going back to the dream realm.

Suddenly, she jumped off the bed and rushed to the kitchen. A simple breakfast with a sandwich and a glass of chocolate milk was enough to fill her stomach. She immediately run to the bathroom when she saw the time on the wall clock.

“How can I forget there's a classmate reunion today? I'm sure they make fun of me again if I am late.”

Drying off her body, she picked a casual outfit. A green t-shirt and a blue jeans. She braid her hair then picked up her sling bag.

“I'll be heading out for friends meeting. I'll be back around six in the evening.”

Symonne screams across the room hoping that her brother or mom hears it.

“Shut up! You're being so loud!”

Her brother probably was annoyed right now.

Symonne was exhausted from the socializing she had to do in the day. She was out of breath climbing up the stairs to the house. She could feel her legs trembling.

Her hands knocking on the door while she gathering air in her lungs. One knock, two knock, three knock. Nobody answers it.

“Lio, open the door! Mom! Mom!”

The door was quickly opened. In front of Symonne is Lucas in a messy appearance. He looks like ungroomed puppy.

“Sorry, I fell asleep. When I heard your yelling, I rushed immediately to open it.”

Symonne was a bit ashamed of being loud but it needed to be done.

“Where's my brother? And my mom?”

Lucas yawn. He rubbed his sleepy eyes.

“Elliot still sleeping. He was tired from playing video games. Your mom said she was going somewhere with her friends. She will be back home late at night.”

Symonne nodded. Then, she took off her sandal and step into the house. She double check the door to make sure it was locked.

“So you guys already eaten?”

Lucas scratch his head.

“Your brother and I have instant noodles for lunch and dinner. We are too lazy to the dishes.”

She shook her head. They must be playing video games all day. That's why they only cook instant noodles.

“I'm going to my room now. Goodnight.”

It's already 8.30 p.m and her body was demanding for rest.

“Alright. Goo-”

Symonne stumbled upon a table and fell down. Her front body was facing the floor. It must hurt really bad. Lucas seeing her like that felt pity and help her stand up. She cover her face with both hands. The pain was not incomparable to the amount of embarrassment she feeling.

“Are you alright, Moni? I can hear your bones cracking.”

“Don't worry too much. I'm just fine.”

When she enter her bedroom, she was screaming quietly. She just fell down in front of the person she likes. That moment keep replaying in her head over and over again.

“My image as an elegant lady is already ruined.”
