I have been dating my boyfriend…now my ex for a year and half. Never during those times did I think he would cheat on me, and that I would catch him in the act. It broke my heart to see him kissing my long time enemy, Stella Maris. What hurt most was that he knew how much she and I hated each other. I would tell him about how much I hated her, and he whispered sweet nothings into my ear and told me that he supported me? I was a fool to believe him, I felt tears forming and walked up to him.

Amellia: You son of a bitch

I said as I pulled him away from Stella

Mark: A-Amellia?? This is not what it looks like I swear

He was panicking, I could see in his eyes he was. Before we started dating, we've known each other for a while, so I know him. At least that's what I thought.

Amellia: We're over, douchebag

I said before turning to walk away as I gave a sharp look to Stella.

As I walked, I dialed Jude, my best friend.

"Hello?"

"Jude, I need you…"

"Mel? What happened? Where are you? I'll come get you."

"The school entrance"

"Alright, I'll be there in five." He said and I heard him start the engine.

I crouched down on the ground as I wait for Jude to arrive.

Tears were forming, and I could feel that all they wanted was to flow. Still I had to brace myself, noone can know that I cried.

"Mel?!?" I heard Jude's voice and the next second he was in front of me

"What's wrong Mel? Talk to me." he said as he made me look at him. For a second I think his eyes darkened, it could be my blurry vision failing me but who knows.

"Jude, he...he was-" I couldn't hold it anymore. Tears just fell down as Jude held me close to him.

"Shh... it'll be fine, Mel. It'll be fine" he comforted me while patting my back.

"He was kissing Stella" I said between sobs.

"..." he continued to pat me silently

" You want to go home?" I simply nodded, and he led me to his car and I sat in the passenger seat.

The ride home was silent, with Jude handing me a tissue now and then. I don't remember when I fell asleep.

JUDE POV

I was on the way to school to pickup Mel, my best friend and the love of my life. She was hurt, and it wasn't physically. And it was because of Mark, that bastard, I just knew it.

I reached the school entrance and saw Mel crouching. I called out to her as I made my way,and felt a string broke as I saw her tears, but I quickly regained my composure because as much as I wanted to run to Mark and beat the living day out of him, comforting Mel comes first.

Then I proposed going home and dropped her home. She fell asleep, must've been tired.

I carried her inside and Mrs. June saw us.

"What happened, dear?" she asked worried.

"Aunty, Mel's going through a breakup right now, and it's a nasty one. Please let me take care of her for now."

"Oh, is that so? I leave her in your care then". Then I placed her on the bed and walk out to the kitchen to prepare some food for when she walkes up.

"Hmm...what time is it?" I could barely keep my eyes open as they were swollen hard. I got up from bed and went to the bathroom to freshen up.

"Oh! You're up, how're you feeling dear?" Mom asked.

"Better, thanks for asking" I replied, still not feeling like talking.

"And Jude?"

"He left just a few minutes ago, said he'd be back with stuff"

"Oh okay. I'll go for a walk to clear my mind"

"Alright don't be late for dinner"

I nodded and walked out. It still feels surreal, I believe I really liked him a lot. Not that I can say I love him though.

Truthfully, I'm one of this people who believe you've to know someone really well to say that you love them. And I don't tell people I love them so easIly. But I can't say that didn't hurt. I'd lost someone precious to me.

"I told you not to date him." a voice came from behind, and I knew who it was without having to look.

"Stella."

"That's why I told you to listen to me. But no, you go and date him. Serves you right."

"Go away, Stella. I'm not in the mood." I said as I turned my head away from her

She muttered "Fine" followed by the sound of her walking away.

I continued my walk. The air was nice, but the weight of my heart made me feel heavy.

I need to get revenge. I'll let him know that I can live just well without him. He'll beg to come back to me. And for that, I need someone...someone he looks up to, to the point he feels envious...someone like Jude. Will Jude help me?

With thoughts such as those, I made my way to Jude's house. We're neighbors so it didn't take long. I knocked on their door.

"Mel? What're you doing here? Come on in"

"Thanks aunt, is Jude here?" I said as I walked in.

"He's in his room. Just go up"

"Okay, thanks" I said as I walked up the stairs to Jude's room.

I kicked open the door (This is an exaggeration. I wanted to look like those cool people who open the door with a wham!)

"Hiiii bestiee" I said while looking at him with a grin.

"Ugh...what? You know I get creeped out when you do that" Jude replied with a grin.

"I decided to get revenge. Here's the plan. I need a new boyfriend. And I'm not talking about a real boyfriend. A fake one, who knows it's a fake relationship and will not fall for me, and I won't fall for him either. So we'll act like a real couple but in private we'll just be friends. Mark will see that I can live just well without him, and he'll regret it. Then he'll try to come back to me which I of course will not allow. I'll act like I still want him, then I'll break his heart. As he did mine. Hehehehehehe.... So yeah, I need your help to find a guy."

"Sure but, you can just use me for stuff like these you know?"

"I know I can, it's just...we probably won't be able to pull it off you know? We're basically siblings. So I don't think we can work it"

"I think we can though?"

"Alright. Show me what you got. I'm going to trust you then"

"Of course. Have I ever let you down? Hmm?"

"So, we're dating now, huh?"

"FAKE dating, Jude"

"Yeah yeah still dating. So all I have to do is make the man jealous yeah?"

"Yeah. Now that it's done, I should go. Mom told me not to stay out late. I'll see you tomorrow" I said as I walked out the door as Jude followed me out.

"Alright, goodnight" he said as he pecked my cheek.

"Y-you...! What are you doing?!" I reacted to his sudden action.

"I'm your boyfriend now, of course I do that." he simply said with a shrug. Just then, Mrs Ambrose appears.

"Dear, are you on your way home already? You should stay for dinner you know?"

"Sorry, aunt. Maybe next time, mom is waiting for me to have dinner so..." I say apologetically

"Is that so? Then come over for dinner soon yeah? With your mom, Mmkay?"

"mmkay. Have a goodnight" I said before turning to go home.

"Son, when will you introduce her to us as your girlfriend?"

"Soon mom, soon. I just need to make her fall for me"

"mm...hurry okay?"

"eh...I'm trying. Let's just go in, I'm getting hungry"

"Mom!! I'm home"

"Jeez, you don't have to shout. You went over to Jude's?"

"Aunt told you?"

"Yeah"

"Yeah, I did. Why?"

"I think the boy likes you. You should bag him up. He was taking care of you the whole time you were asleep and look, he even prepared some food for when you wake up"

"Huh?? Jude cooked? Yes, I missed his cooking. Nice... let's eat mom"

THE NEXT DAY

"Good morning Mrs June, I'm here to pick up Mel. Has Mr. June gone?"

"Good morning, Judee. She's still sleeping, and yes, he has gone to work." Jude simply nodded and went to Mel's room.

"Mel!! Wake up!!" he said, shaking the sleeping girl.

"Ugh... Five more minutes" replied the girl as she covers herself with the blanket.

"If you don't wake up, you'll regret it, Mel"

"I don't want to…"

"Then you're in for it…!" he said as he started tickling the girl

"I'm up I'm up!" the girl yelled while laughing.

"Hoo... I'm up, what time is it?"

"Exactly 7."

"Mmm…let me get ready real quick"

"Okay"

I left to wash up and get ready. After half an hour.

"This okay?"

"You look great, Mel"

"Good. Let's go?"

"No breakfast?"

"Of course not, have you ever seen me skip food?"

"Always."

"Shh" we laughed as we walked down to the dining room.

"Have you taken your breakfast, Jude? Why don't you join us?"

"Oh aunty I'd already taken my breakfast"

"Alright then"

Jude waited for me till I was done eating, and we headed out for school.

AT SCHOOL

"Let's go?" he said as the engine stopped.

"Hah... I don't know Jude, do you think we can pull this off?"

"Of course we can, trust me Mel"

"Alright…"

Then we walked to the entrance from the parking lot.

"Hold hands?" Jude suggested.

"...ok" my reply barely made its way out when Jude held my hand as he walked forward.

I could feel the stares, honestly.

"Will your fangirls tear me apart after they see this?" I said laughing a bit

"I won't let them don't worry" he replied confidently.

"So you admit you have fangirls, huh?" I said in a teasing voice.

"I like you the most anyway" he replied as he bopped my nose with his finger.

"You can't keep taking me by surprise you know?" I said and we were already at the classroom. As we walked in, I could hear the whispers.

"Goodness, are you guys dating?" one of them asked

"Now official." Jude replied as I hid away.

"But Mel, weren't you dating Mark?"
