Xander stood behind a window looking up to the sky, he stared at the wandering stars, as always all he could feel was pain and sorrow from being isolated. Why?! Why did he have to be a cursed son which everyone hated and pushed away how he wished he could feel his family warmth,affection and care but he couldn't he's never even seen what his father or brothers looked like although he heard that his mother died during child birth that was when she was giving birth to him.

He felt like a monster , he hated the fact that his own family avoided him like he was a contagious disease,like he was a plague or a complete monster.

He had been isolated for more 20 years and during those 20 years he had been living a life of darkness and oblivion, he had never seen light since the day he was born , he was as if he was one with the darkness

He he heard a knock at the door, it was probably his dinner " your Highness your dinner is here" the maid placed his dinner on the door step then walked away.

Despite being half blooded he was exceptional powerful even more than pure blooded vampires, he had a very exceptional hearing he could hear what was happening miles away and that's how he knew that the maid was gone.

He walked towards the door then picked up the tray of food, walked back in then shut the door being his back. He sat down on his bed then began to eat drowning in his misery.

STILL WATER FALL VILLAGE(DARCIA)

Irene walked around the Village delivering the fishes she caught early that morning dutifully. Her mother was in the market seeking fruits and vegetables so she also has to sell fishes to gain more income.

Irene was a young beautiful girl with big round panda looking eyes,long brown hair and a white petite face, she was the most beautiful girl in still waterfall village and yet loved by everyone.

" Irene how's you mother " Joel one of her customers asked " she's fine " Irene smiled " well take care " Joel said after giving Irene her money" "will do!!!" Irene yelled as she waved.

" mother I'm home " Irene said as she arrived after a full day of hard work " Irene " her mum hugged her " mother how was the market today ?" Irene asked " it was fine I got a lot of money " her mother smiled " Irene i think it's time you start working at the palace " Romina her mother sighed " why mum? Why do you suddenly suggest I start working at the palace " Irene frowned as she didn't want to work there, she'd heard different rumors from the palace especially the rumored to be demon king ' prince Xander' .

" I just think it'll bring in more money and I want you to experience what it feels like to live in the palace " Romina creased her cheeks " okay " Irene sighed "you'll stat tomorrow" Romina smiled satisfied " okay mum " thanks my daughter Romina smiled lovingly.

MIDNIGHT.....

Romina sneaked out of the house into the forest, she met with a mysterious man

" I've managed to convince her " she mumbled as tears feel down her cheeks, she didn't want to do that to her only child but that was the only way Irene would find out the truth and again it was an order from the king ' king Cesar'

A vampire king which no one could defy.

Irene woke up to find her mother gone " mother? Mother where are you "she checked round the house " Irene I'm here" her mother walked in " I thought you left me " she hugged Romina "it's fine I went to the palace to her your main uniform " Romina handed over the uniform " Thanks mum , I'll get going " Irene walked into her room then began to pack her things

Why?!? Why did it have to be her she didn't want to go to the palace she was scared that there was something bad waiting for her there, she didn't want to leave her mother but she had no other choice.

After pacing up , she went out to bid her mother farewell " bye mother * she hugged Romina " bye daughter stay safe and be good don't forget to obey what ever the king tells you , you know he's a very dangerous man " Romina instructed Irene " I will " a tear dropped down her cheeks but she quickly wiped it off afraid her mother would see it .

Irene arrived at the palace full of determination, she was determined to do her work well in the palace and serve the king with utmost faith and honor. She had never been to the palace before so she was amazed and in awe. She had never seen any thing this beautiful.

She walked slowly as she looked around. The garden in the spacious front yard so so beautiful and colorful. As she walked to the entrance she could tell that the palace was not so simple. Now that she was closer she noticed the White marbled steps to the big and huge front door which dwarfed her ,she slowly took it in. She could now now see that from the walls to the glass all looked like a magnificent piece of art. ' What on earth would it look like inside.

As she stopped at the entrance she took in a deep breath as she turned to one of the guards with a smile "pleas tell the king I'm here" she smiled, the guard was marvelled at her beauty so it took him a while to regain consciousness. After a while he walked in then came out saying that the king was ready to see her . she took another deep breath then walked in .

The white marble floor beneath her feet seemed to stretch for miles and the enormous beautiful chandelier that welcomed her dangled elegantly from the high ceiling. The hallway had large and beautifully molded panels which looked very expensive but tasteful.

She was led by another maid towards the throne room where she saw the king,the queen and three other Princes but one throne seemed to be empty .

" Irene " the king chuckled " your Majesty " she bowed " just like your mother" the king spoke "since you know why you're here,I'll just remind you're here to be the personal maid to my fourth son Xander" the king squinted his eyes, Irene looked up in surprise , she didn't known that she was going to be a personal maid to the fourth prince she only knew that she'd be a maid at the palace "And since you're here already you'll begin immediately"he smile but that smile sent shivers down her spine " Galicia the head maid will take you around and explain everything to you ". " your Majesty " Galicia bowed and so did she.

" move it " Galicia pulled Irene away "by the way I'm Irene" Irene said " don't speak when I don't say so " Galicia hissed it seemed that Galicia didn't like her so she didn't take it to heart " This's the kitchen, you'll be in charge of the prince's meal, clothing and everything that concerns him " Galicia showed her around " and this's where you'll be staying"she opened an old door, then the smell of grass, decayed food and moth hit her with the force of a slap , " I'll leave you to settle in but I want you in the kitchen in the next one hour got it " Galicia said sternly " yes " she mumbled "good" Galicia shut the door then walked away.

Gosh why did it have to be her ,of all people she was stuck in a palace with people who didn't like her and a mysterious prince which she'd never met.

She used to live a normal and quite life but now it was full of complications and the utterly hated it😭🥺

HELLBENT

Chapter six

Xander stood at his usual spot,behind the window, he looked down to see a beautiful Lady walking pass the garden,his heart skipped a beat, who was she and what was a beautiful lady like her doing here at the palace, it was said that the outside world didn't know that vampires existed even some villages in Darcia and it seemed that this girl didn't know.

He was baffled at how a mere human would look so beautiful like a goddess, even vampire women couldn't match up to her looks. He felt a tinge of fear, he hope this was not one of the women his wicked father was planning to sleep with. He didn't know why but he had a particular feeling swirling in him, the one telling him to protect that little girl.

His thought was filled with that girl that he didn't even hear his door being knocked "your highness" a small but soft voice reached his ear, it was like the best melody he'd ever heated "your Highness" the voice came again, why was she still there wasn't she meant to drop his food at the door step then leave "seems like he's asleep" that soft voice muttered but it was loud enough for him to hear , he heard her feet move and immediately he knew she was about to leave and as is under a spell he lifted his feet then began walking towards the door and for the first time in his entire life he grabbed onto the door knob , he flinched at it's coldness but that didn't scare him and finally he twisted it and pulled open the door.

After Irene settled down and cleaned her so called room ,she went to the kitchen for the meeting but

got scolded for being 35.5 seconds late. Why did they hate her so much. She was given the Prince's schedule and she was glad that it was not complicated but simple.

'Wake up,bathe,eat,and then sleep again ' just as simple as that. She sighed in relive then began to prepare his clothes,her mother had taught her how to prepare a bath and she was glad , she then prepared the materials she'd need then walked towards his room.

She had been knocking for a while but on one opened up so she presumed that he must've been asleep" seems like he's asleep" she muttered then turned to leave and then at that moment the door creaked open revealing a stunning man with blood red hair , tattooed skin, burning red eyes and cute pink lips, he was devilishly handsome. Like a god.

Xander was puzzled , his eyes met with a tall beautiful girl , with brown long hair and thick dark eyes. And that's when it it him hard , the girl her saw in the garden. Wait?!? Wasn't she meant to go blind or was the curse a lie.
