...-AADYA'S POV-...
I was walking toward my coaching when suddenly it started to rain causing me to run, as I had forgotten to bring my umbrella.
After running for sometime I finally reached my coaching, but didn't went inside, as i was all wet and if I go inside like that it will be very embarassing. After trying to dry myself for sometime I gave up and turned around to go inside, knowing very well that I will be doomed if I get late.
Being emerged in my own thought, I entered not noticing that someone too was coming outside, causing me too unfortunately bump into the persons chest hardly.
The sudden hustle threw me off balance. I barely managed to stay on my feet, but in the chaos, my hands instinctively grabbed someone's shirt. To my surprise, they caught my left hand, steadying me.
It all happened in the blink of an eye. I didn't even notice who I'd grabbed or what exactly I had done, but I quickly regained my footing and stood up properly.
"Sorry, I'm really sorry," I blurted out, looking up to see a boy I didn't recognize. He must be new to the coaching center, as I'd never seen him before.
Our eyes met, and I quickly looked away, feeling a surge of nervousness.
"It's okay, it was my fault too," he replied. I smile awkwardly and hurried to my seat.
As I reached my seat, I noticed my best friend wasn't in our usual spot but had moved elsewhere.
"Afriiiii!!!" I called out, catching her attention.
"What is it, Aadu? You just walked in and already you're shouting," she replied with an irritated look, making me roll my eyes.
"Why aren't you sitting here-" I stopped mid-sentence when I realized she was sitting with Zaid, her crush.
I gave her a teasing look as she blushed and turned back to her conversation with him.
Afrin and I go to the same school and, luckily, the same coaching center. Being from the ICSE board, we have to sit with the seniors since our syllabus is the same.
I sat down, pulling my books out and quietly cursing my best friend under my breath.
Suddenly, I flinched as a guy stood in front of my seat. Looking up, I realized it was the same guy I had bumped into earlier. I mustered a forced smile, feeling awkward remembering the earlier encounter.
"If you don't mind, can I sit here? All the other seats are full," he asked politely.
Glancing at the seat beside me and then back at him, I hesitated for a moment.
"It's okay, you can sit here," I replied quickly, noticing his awareness of my discomfort.
He nodded understandingly, pulling the chair a little further away to give us both some space before settling in.
Sitting there, I couldn't help but glare at Zaid and Afrin, who were lost in their own little world of flirtation. I mentally vowed to exact revenge on Afrin for abandoning me like this.
After some time, our teacher, whom everyone fondly called 'bhaiya' because of his young age and gentlemanly demeanor, entered the room.
Bhaiya glanced at me and flashed a knowing smile. "Ah, so today Aadya is not sitting with her best friend," he remarked, clearly teasing me, his observation sharp enough to cut through my sullen mood.
Afrin looked at me, her smile mischievous, which only intensified my glare. I quickly shifted my gaze back to bhaiya, pretending not to be affected.
"I don't have any best friend, bhaiya," I retorted, crossing my arms defensively. The entire class burst into laughter at my response.
"Alright, you can save your bickering for later. Let's first welcome our new students," bhaiya interjected, knowing our tendency to argue.
"Abir and Naksh," bhaiya called out their names, and the guy sitting near me stood up, followed by another guy near him.
"So, this is Abir and this is Naksh. They're both new, so let's be nice to them, my little fools," bhaiya said with a playful smile, glancing at the rest of us.
"Alright, alright, my bad. Let's move on, shall we? Get your books out," he swiftly changed the subject, sensing the attention directed towards him.
As the lesson began, the classroom buzzed with a mix of studying, laughter, and friendly chatter. Two hours flew by in a blur of learning and camaraderie, making the time spent studying together feel like a breeze.
"Alright, that's enough for today. Tomorrow, you all have a chemistry test," bhaiya announced, eliciting sighs from everyone in the class.
"Please, bhaiya, have mercy on us," Rohan, one of our senior students, pleaded, his desperation echoed by the rest of us.
"Alright, Rohan, let me call your mother and ask about your chemistry exam marks," bhaiya teased him, his tone laced with sarcasm.
"No, no, bhaiya, you can give the test whenever you want. I'm ready for it," Rohan quickly retracted his plea, sparking laughter among us before we all began to leave the coaching center.
As I was about to leave, a voice called out my name -"Aadya."
Turning back, I saw Abir, the new boy, approaching me with my pencil in his hand. He returned it to me, offering a polite thank you.
"You're welcome," I replied with a smile before continuing on my way.
As I made my way out, someone tapped me on the shoulder. Turning around, I found Naksh standing there, his hand briefly touching mine before he quickly withdrew it, flustered.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to grab your hand. I just needed to ask for history notes, as bhaiya mentioned," he explained, looking embarrassed.
"It's okay. Wait here, I'll get you the notes," I assured him, retrieving the copy and handing it to him. He thanked me with a smile before I continued on my way.
Exiting the classroom, I spotted Afrin waiting for me. She hurried over as soon as she saw me.
I tried to ignore Afrin and walk away, but she surprised me by hugging me from behind. I gently pushed her away, feeling a mix of annoyance and affection.
"Sorry, Aadu, Zaid asked me to sit there, and I thought you wouldn't make it since you were late," she apologized, her eyes pleading for forgiveness.
I tried to maintain my fake angry expression, but her puppy eyes melted my resolve, and I couldn't help but smile.
"It's okay, but what were you two blushing about?" I teased, watching her cheeks turn pink.
"I'll tell you, I'll tell you! But first, let's go to our favorite gol gappa stall," she suggested, and I eagerly agreed, already imagining the tangy taste on my tongue.
I playfully pushed her and took off running, she too followed me as we both laughed out.
" jo baad mai pahunchega usko Paisa Dena padega" i shouted speeding my pace.
(the one who will reach at last will have to pay)
"Mumma!" I called out as soon as I stepped inside the house.
"What happened, beta? I'm in the kitchen!" came my mom's voice from the kitchen. I dashed towards the sound, finding her busy cooking.
I quickly wrapped my arms around her from behind, inhaling the comforting scent of home-cooked food. "What are you making, mumma?" I asked eagerly.
"Gajar ka halwa," she replied with a smile, her hands deftly working the ingredients. "Now go and freshen up," she added, and I nodded, heading towards my room with a sense of warmth and anticipation.
As I sat down at my study table after dinner, thoughts of the day's events at coaching flooded my mind, causing an involuntary blush to creep onto my face.
"Hey, why are you blushing, idiot?" I muttered to myself, giving myself a slight slap on the cheek to snap out of it.

Next Day-
"Okay, ma, I'm leaving!" Aadya yelled from the living room, hanging her bag and rushing out of the house.
Stepping outside, she spotted Afrin waiting at the entrance. Afrin quickly waved at her best friend, and a smile instantly spread across on both of their faces. Hugging each other they walked toward the school as if they hadn't seen each other for years.
"Aaaah!" Aadya shrieked as someone suddenly appeared in front of her, causing her to jump in fright.
"Boo!" Abhisek chuckled, thoroughly enjoying her reaction.
"Kamine!!!, I'll get you for this!" Aadya exclaimed, her playful threat turning into action as she chased after him. Afrin stood nearby, unable to contain her laughter at their playful banter, a witness to their enduring friendship.
Leaning wearily on her desk, Aadya sighed with relief as the class finally ended, signaling her freedom to indulge in some much-needed food. Afrin and Abhisek approached her with mischievous grins.
"Hey, kiddo, let's go!" Abhisek exclaimed, nudging her playfully.
"I don't even have the energy to walk, Abhi," Aadya
Replied, her fatigue evident in her voice as she avoided looking at him.
"Are you sure you don't want to walk?" Abhisek teased, his smirk signaling mischief. Aadya simply hummed in response.
Afrin caught on to their plan without a word exchanged, and before Aadya could react, Abhisek scooped her up into his arms, causing her to protest loudly.
"Let me go, you kutta, or I'll kill you!" Aadya screamed, her protests mixed with laughter as Abhisek carried her towards the cafeteria, with Afrin following closely behind, amused by their antics.
Abhishek and Afrin couldn't contain their laughter as they watched Aadya squirm in Abhishek's arms.
"Let me go, Abhi!" Aadya shouted, her voice a mix of amusement and irritation.
"Are you sure, baby?" Abhishek teased, his grin widening.
"Yes, yes, just put me down!" Aadya insisted, eager to escape his playful grasp.
With a mischievous twinkle in his eye, Abhishek complied, releasing her from his arms. Aadya's feet barely touched the ground before she let out a yelp of pain, her tailbone absorbing the impact.
As Afrin and Abhishek continued to laugh, Aadya shot them a fierce glare from her spot on the ground, feeling a mixture of embarrassment and annoyance.
As Aadya struggled to stand, she felt a hand extend towards her. Looking up, she was surprised to see Naksh standing there. Her eyes widened in disbelief; she hadn't realized they attended the same school.
Tentatively, she placed her hand in his, allowing him to help her up.
"Um, thank you," she said, a smile gracing her lips despite her surprise.
"No problem," Naksh replied, returning her smile with warmth.
Aadya nodded in gratitude before turning her gaze towards where Abhishek and Afrin had been standing, only to find them gone. Anger flared within her as she realized they had fled the scene.
Just as she was about to storm off, Naksh gently halted her with a word.
"Sunoo..." Aadya glanced at Naksh.
"Ha, boliye," she replied, attentive.
"Agr tumhe koi problem nahi hai to kya tum mujhe school ke raste bata skti ho? Main school mai naya aaya hu," he asked, his tone earnest.
("If you don't mind, can you show me the way to school? I'm new to school,")
Aadya paused for a moment, considering. It wouldn't be fair to deny help to her fellow senior. "Haan, zaroor," she agreed.
(Yes, of course)
She swiftly began to guide him, mindful of not being late for her own classes.
As they reached the school garden, Aadya was in the midst of giving Naksh directions when he interrupted.
"Which grade are you in?" he inquired.
"9 A," she replied, meeting his gaze.
Nodding, Naksh extended his hand once more. "Wanna be my friend?" he asked with a friendly smile.
Returning the smile, Aadya shook his hand. "Sure," she replied warmly.
"Are you on social media?" Naksh queried, curiosity evident in his tone.
"Yeah, why?" Aadya responded, intrigued.
"If you don't mind, can I have your Instagram ID?" Naksh asked, rubbing the back of his head nervously.
Aadya smiled, reassured by his friendly demeanor.
"Sure, no problem," she replied, sharing her ID with him.
As the bell rang, signaling the end of the break, Aadya and Naksh made their way to their respective classes. Entering her classroom, Aadya was greeted by the sight of Afrin and Abhishek, both wearing mischievous smirks.
"What's up with you two? Why did you leave me alone back there?" Aadya questioned, puzzled by their expressions.
Afrin's teasing look intensified as she asked, "You never told me you and that new guy Naksh are friends?"
"We're not that close, he just asked for help, so I obliged," she replied curtly.
Abhishek joined in with a teasing tone, "Oh, then why didn't he ask someone else?"
Rolling her eyes, Aadya shot back, "I don't know, go ask him yourself. And why are you both trying to change the subject? Do you think I'll forget about you two almost k!lling me?" With that, she playfully punched Abhishek's back, her frustration dissipating into laughter.
Abhisek was about to 'pay her back' when the teacher entered the class and she went to her seat while showing him her tongue.
As the school day drew to a close, students began packing their bags to head home. Aadya glanced towards her bench mate, Rahul, who was beaming at her. Returning the smile, she awaited his words.
"Um, Aadya..." Rahul began, his smile widening as he reached into his bag. "I have extra chocolate, so here," he offered, extending a Dairy Milk towards her.
Aadya's eyes lit up with delight as she accepted the sweet treat. "Thanks for the chocolate, Rahul!" she exclaimed, her love for food evident in her eagerness to indulge.
Rahul's smile grew wider at her happiness. "You're welcome. Okay, bye now, or I'll be late and my driver will leave me at school," he joked, chuckling as he hurried towards the door.
"Bye, and once again, thank you!" Aadya called after him, waving farewell.
Turning to her best friends, she noticed their amused expressions, their wide grins hinting at the camaraderie they shared.
"Ohhooo..." Afrin teased, shooting a playful glance at Aadya.
"Please, not again, you two," Aadya responded, preempting their banter.
"Leave her be, baby. Tell me what's going on," Abhishek interjected, taking Aadya's hand and leading her to a quieter corner.
"There's nothing going on, Abhi dear, and stop calling me baby, or your baby will kick your-"
"Fine, fine, you're the baby," Abhishek chuckled, only to receive a sharp slap from Aadya.
"He just gave me a chocolate. Now let's go, Afrin, or Mom will kill me," Aadya said, pulling her best friend away from the teasing duo.
...-AADYA'S POV-...
"I'm back, Mom!" I yelled as I entered the living room.
"Alright, I'll be setting your lunch. Go and get fresh quickly," Mom replied from the kitchen.
"Okay, Mata Shri," I joked as I made my way to my room.
After freshening up, I emerged from my room, still engrossed in my phone. Spotting Mom in the dining area, I hurried over to join her.
We chatted and laughed as we enjoyed lunch together, exchanging gossip and bantering with my brother.
(Ps: Aadya have a brother named Vivek, who is a last year university student. So, that's why he doesn't live with them and Aadya's father is in police that's why he is also not stay with them. Right now, Aadya's brother came to spend his holidays)
After yet another round of bickering with my brother over the same old thing, I finally retreated to my room, seeking solace in the pages of my favorite book, "Haunting Adeline."
Lost in the captivating world of the story, I devoured the pages, losing track of time until I glanced at my phone and realized it was nearly time for coaching. Hastily, I set the book aside and went to change.
Opting for comfort and style, I slipped into a black tank top and shirt, pairing it with flared jeans for a casual yet chic look. With my hair pulled back into a neat bun, I grabbed my bag and hurried out the door, ready to

As Aadya sat at her place in coaching, accompanied by Abir, she found herself immersed in solving a particularly stubborn math problem. Despite her best efforts, she couldn't seem to crack it, frustration mounting with each failed attempt.
For the fifth time, she found herself arriving at a different answer, and she let out an exasperated sigh, running her fingers through her hair in frustration.
Unbeknownst to her, someone had been observing her struggle. Abir couldn't help but chuckle at her actions, finding her frustration amusing yet endearing.
ABIR

...-ABIR'S POV-...
Observing Aadya's struggle with the math problem for what seemed like the umpteenth time, I couldn't help but find her actions amusing yet endearing.
Deciding to offer my assistance, I approached her cautiously. "If you don't mind, I can help you," I offered
meeting her frustrated gaze with a sympathetic smile.
She looked at me with a mix of irritation and relief before nodding in acceptance. As I moved closer to her, I began explaining the solution, pointing out the error she had been making.
"It's so easy, you were just going wrong in this part," I reassured her, hoping to ease her frustration.
Her widened eyes reflected a mix of surprise and admiration as she exclaimed, "Oh my god, you're so intelligent!" I simply nodded in response.
"By the way, which school do you attend?" she inquired.
"XYZ School," I replied gazing at her face.
"Wow, I'm also in the same school, but I never saw you!" she exclaimed, her curiosity piqued.
"Yeah, that's because I recently joined," I explained, watching as understanding dawned on her face.
"So you must not have many friends," she observed, catching me off guard.
"Yeah, right now I just know Naksh, who's been my childhood best friend," I admitted.
"Oh, wanna be friends?" she asked, her smile brightening the room.
Caught off guard by her sudden proposition, I stumbled over my words before finally replying, "Uh, yeah, okay."
She glanced at me, then looked away with a nod, signaling the beginning of a new friendship.
As the coaching session came to an end and the other students began to file out, Aadya continued to chatter away, seemingly unaware of my presence. Normally, I would have tuned out or found an excuse to leave, but there was something about her voice, the way she spoke about her passions and experiences, that held my attention.
She talked animatedly about her love for playing the guitar and her fondness for cats, painting vivid pictures with her words. Even as she mentioned her best friend's crush on Zaid, there was a sincerity in her tone that drew me in.
Lost in her stories, I found myself simply staring at her, captivated by her energy and authenticity. In that moment, her voice was like music to my ears, and I couldn't help but listen, entranced by the beauty of her words.
"sorry, mai bas bole ja rhi hu.. aap bore hogye honge"
she suddenly said, realizing my silence.
("Sorry, I've been rambling on....You must been bored)
"Nahi to aisa nahi...mujhe tumhari baatein sunker acha laga "I replied, the words slipping out before I even realized what I was saying.
("No, it's not like that. I've just been enjoying listening to you")
In that moment, her eyes widened slightly, and a soft
smile graced her lips. It was as if time slowed down, and I felt a flutter in my chest, realizing the depth of connection that had formed between us in that simple exchange of words.
"Thankyou" she replied smiling as I nodded and looked away from her face.
"Aadya..." Naksh's voice broke through our conversation, drawing both Aadya and me to look in his direction as he approached us.
"Hey, Aadya, I've sent you a follow request, and here's your history notebook," Naksh said, offering a warm smile.
"Thank you so much! I'll accept it right away," Aadya replied, returning his smile with one of her own.
"Waise kya kl bhi tum mere sath lunch break mai rahogi?" Naksh asked to Aadya to which she nodded with a smile.
Then Naksh looked at me "Bhai wanna join us in lunch break!?" He asked as I looked at Aadya to see if she have any problem with it but she was smiling at me.
I just nodded at them.
After that she left with her bestfriend and I also left.
Whole time I was thinking what was that feeling and why was I feeling something unusual when aadya was talking to me but, i shrugged the thought.
Throughout the day, I couldn't shake the feeling of something unusual whenever Aadya spoke to me. Yet, I pushed aside those thoughts, opting instead to focus on the present moment.
My bunny do you also think I am chubby?
-AADYA'S POV-
After returning home and freshening up, I made my way to the dining room, where I found my crazy brother indulging in a bowl of ice cream. With a sudden craving for something sweet, I headed to the kitchen to ask Mom where mine was.
"Hey, where's my ice cream?" I called out, peeking into the kitchen but he ignored me.
"Kutte, where is my ice cream?!" This time i shouted at my brother, who nonchalantly threw a pillow in my direction. "Gadhe ice cream nahi khate hai..." he retorted between bites of his treat.
"I'll show you what this 'gadhi' can do!" I exclaimed, retaliating by throwing the pillow back at him before darting away. With my brother in hot pursuit, our playful chase echoed through the house, filling the air with laughter and the warmth of sibling banter.
"Rukh, main tujhe batata hu bacchu tune kisse panga liya hai!" he screamed, chasing after me as I dashed into my room. Just as I was about to close the door, he pushed it open, and I fled towards my bed.
But he caught me by the leg, pulling me down and launching into a tickle attack.
"Hahahahaha... hahahahah bhai, choro... hahahahaha... main maar dungi... hahah, aapko," I gasped between fits of laughter, trying to squirm away from his tickling fingers.
After dinner, I sat in my room scrolling through Instagram when I noticed two follow requests. With a knowing smile, I accepted them, knowing exactly who they were from.
After sometime I recieved a text, it was from Naksh. He once again thanked me for giving him the notebook.

...-AADYA'S POV-...
I was in the cafeteria waiting for Naksh, when suddenly he called out my name, "Hey, Aadya!" He said as a smile made its way on his face.
"Hey," I replied flatly, noting the somber expression on Abir's face as he stood beside Naksh.
"Hello," I greeted Abir with a smile, but his response was curt, confirming my suspicions that he was not in a good mood.
"do you guys wanna go watch the football competition on the ground?" I suggested, eager to support Rahul, who was participating.
"Yeah, sure," Naksh replied enthusiastically. I glanced at Abir, who also nodded in agreement.
We made our way to the ground, and I paused for a moment, informing Naksh and Abir that I'd join them shortly or they could accompany me to watch the football competition. They agreed to wait for me, and we headed towards the match together.
As we settled in to watch, I focused on Rahul, cheering him on with all my might. I waved and sent him an encouraging sign, shouting words of support.
Lost in the excitement of the game, I didn't notice a stray ball hurtling towards me until it was too late. With a sudden realization, I tightly shut my eyes, bracing myself for the inevitable impact and the ensuing surge of pain.
Feeling no pain I slowly opened my eyes, only to find Abir standing right in front of me. My gaze moved away from him eyes toward his hands, he was holding the ball.
I bit my lips, glancing back at him. His heavy breath fanned my face as i realised how close we were, my cheeks started burning as I saw his eyes flickering over my cheeks.
I scoffed quickly looking away at him.
"I don't like my belongings getting hurt so better be careful next time or you will get to know who I am!" Abir's loud voice silenced the whole ground. I saw him smashing the ball towards the players harshly.
"Aadya?" Naksh's voice pulled me back to reality.
"Are you okay?" he asked, concern etched on his face. I nodded quickly, trying to shake off the flustered feeling.
"Are you sure?" Abir's deep voice joined in, making me glance his way. His intense gaze made my heart skip a beat.
"Yeah, I'm okay. Excuse me!" I stammered, then quickly darted away, feeling my cheeks heat up. As soon as I saw Abir, a wave of unexpected shyness washed over me, turning my face a bright shade of red.
I ducked into a quiet corner, leaning against the wall to catch my breath. My heart was racing, and I couldn't shake the feeling that there was something about Abir that made me incredibly nervous and excited at the same time. Taking a deep breath, I tried to calm my Fluttering heart, but his voice and the way he looked at me kept replaying in my mind, making me blush even harder.
What was happening to me?
...-AUTHOR'S POV-...
"Hey, Aadya," Rahul said as he sat down next to her.
"Hello"she replied with a smile, returning the gesture.
"Umm, thanks for coming to see my match," he said, grinning.
"I enjoyed it!" Aadya replied, when suddenly whatever happened there crossed her mind making her cheeks savour a colour of pink.
She scoffed looking away from Rahul.
"Okay, I have to go for the last round now. See you tomorrow," Rahul said noticing her weird behaviour, grabbing his bag to leave.
"Bye! And good luck!" she called out, waving as he left.
Finally, the last period ended. Everyone began to leave, and Aadya started packing her bag while chatting with her friends.
"Oh, you started reading that book?" one friend asked excitedly.
"Yes, I swear, Aadya, it's the best book I've ever read. You should definitely read it!" her friend replied enthusiastically.
"Wow, then I'll buy it today," Aadya said, her interest piqued.
"Yes, then we can talk about it!" They both giggled, enjoying the moment.
After chatting for a while, her friends left, and Aadya waited for Abhishek and Afrin, whose bags were still there. They haven't returned yet.
After getting bored for more than 15 minutes, Aadya decided to look for them in the corridor. Their exams should be over by now, and she was starting to get frustrated knowing that they two can never live without causing trouble.
The school was almost empty, with only a few teachers left. She checked the third floor and found nothing, so she moved down to the second floor, the last floor left to check.
As she was near the sports room, she heard a sound coming from the library. Curious, she went inside and saw Abir talking to someone on the phone, the one kept in the library for emergencies. His back was to her, and she was about to call out when she heard him speak.
"Yes love, try to understand! Okay, I'll bring that teddy for you, okay?"
Aadya froze.
"Okay, I promise. Now, please don't be angry"
"Yes, I'll try to come early, okay?"
"Aww, I lo-"
Before he could finish, she turned and ran out of the library.
She dashed back to her classroom, feeling a strange ache in her chest. Why did she feel so hurt hearing that? They'd just met a few days ago. Why was she feeling this way? Has she gotten a first sight crush on him?
"Stupid hormones," she muttered to herself, lightly slapping her forehead.

...-AADYA'S POV-...
I ran toward my classroom, my eyes filling with tears. I felt so foolish. Why was I reacting like this?
Lost in my thoughts, I wasn't paying attention and bumped into someone. I was about to fall, but a hand caught me around my waist. Through my blurred vision.
I opened my eyes to see who it was but couldn't make out the face. I gently pushed away and dashed toward my class.
When I reached the classroom, I heard Afrin and Abhishek's voices. Quickly, I wiped away the tears threatening to fall, took a deep breath, and walked over to them. They noticed me and smiled. I forced a smile back.
"How was your elocution,?" I asked, trying to sound cheerful.
"It was amazing! We won the second prize!" Abhishek beamed.
"Yeah, it was good. But what happened to you?" Afrin asked, her eyes narrowing with concern.
"Nothing. What would happen to me?" I tried to laugh it off.
"Don't lie to me, kiddo. I know you better than you know yourself. Spill it," she insisted.
I really wanted to tell her but didn't understand my own feelings. Why was I so upset? I felt like I was going crazy. It wasn't like I had known Abir for years and was in love with him. We had just met a few days ago!
"No, seriously, I'm fine, guys," I said, forcing another smile.
"Let's go home, it's getting late. We have a test in coaching, remember?" I said quickly, trying to change the subject. Before Afrin could protest, I grabbed her bag and started pulling her towards the door.
"Bye, Abhi! See you on Monday!" I called over my shoulder as we left.
...-AUTHOR'S POV-...
As Afrin and Aadya walked home, Aadya tried to act normal, but she knew she couldn't hide anything from Afrin for long.
"Aadya, listen!" Afrin called out, making Aadya turn toward her.
"Yeah, what's up?"
"You consider me your sister, right?" Afrin asked.
"Eww chii" Aadya made a disgusted face causing Afrin's eyes to widen.
"Kami-" Afrin quickly opened her bag to throw it on Aadya's face when she interrupted.
"Apne pati se koi ye puchta hai kya biwi ji?" Aadya added playfully hiding her face as Afrin burst in laughter.
(How can you ask that to your hubby?, wifey)
" Aigoo maarna band ker" Aadya muttered slightly rubbing her back, as Afrin can never stop herself from hitting someone while laughing.
(Aigoo stop hitting me)
"Pehle pati parameshwar aap ye bataiye aap ro kyu rhe the lakdiyon ki tarah?" Aadya's face palmed herself realising that her whole act went in vain and her best friend wouldn't leave her in peace, until she beat the shit out of the person who made her cry.
While she herself didn't know why she became sad.
"seriously, nothing's wrong" she finally replied trying to be serious, forcing a smile.
"Then why were you crying?" Afrin pressed on those words as she stood at her place making Aadya gulp.
"It was just...my stomach was hurting," Aadya lied, hoping Afrin would believe her.
"Oh, really? Pehel batana chahiye the na Mughe laga Aaj Mera thusa finally kisi ka pet bharega," Afrin said showing her fist.
(You should've told me! I thought someone would finally eat my punch at lunch)
"Pagal abhi hum Ghar late pahuche to hume jarur hi padenge uper se sweet Mai chappal bhi free milenge"
Aadya stated, as both of them laughed, starting to walk again.
(Dumbo now if we reach home late then for sure we will get it, and sweet slippers will be free)
Though Aadya felt bad about lying. She knew her feelings were confusing and didn't make sense, so she didn't want to burden Afrin with them.
They reached Aadya's house, and Afrin gave her a quick hug before leaving.
"Take care and rest, pati parmeshwar?" Afrin teased.
"You too! Biwi jii" Aadya waved back laughing mischievously as Afrin walked away.

...-AADYA'S POV-...
After coming home, I headed straight to my room, hoping to avoid a thousand questions from Mumma. She would know I'd been crying just by looking at my face.
I changed into my comfy clothes and sat on my bed, replaying everything that had happened today. Just then, I heard my mom's voice calling me for lunch. With a sigh, I went downstairs.
As we ate, Mom noticed right away that something was off. "Is everything alright? You didn't even greet me when you came home, and you're unusually quiet."
I forced a smile. "It's just a test in coaching. I'm a bit worried about it, that's all."
-Time skip- 4:45 PM-
After lunch, I returned to my room, trying to focus on studying for the test. I listened to some Taylor Swift and
took a nap-my go-to remedy for everything.
When I woke up, I felt a bit better. I put on a long white frock, combed my hair, and grabbed my bag. Feeling slightly more like myself, I went downstairs, ready to face the rest of the day.
"Bye Mumma!!" I said wearing my shoes.
"bye beta all the best, tension mt Lena tu kr legi!!" She said to me while smiling I smiled back at her and left for coaching.
The walk to the coaching center was pleasant, the evening sun casting a warm glow over everything. I couldn't help but hum "Euphoria" tune as I walked, trying to keep my spirits high.
When I arrived, I saw Afrin waiting for me.
"Hey, you look like a dream in that frock!" she exclaimed, making me blush.
"Thanks, Afrin," I said, twirling a little for her.
"Tu haste hue suar lagti hai" she said, linking her arm with mine as we walked into the coaching center together.
(You look like a pig when you smile)
After reaching tuition, Aadya settled into her seat beside Afrin. Raindrops began to trickle down the windowpane as she gazed outside, lost in her thoughts while Afrin buried herself in her studies.
Suddenly, Aadya heard a familiar voice and looked up to see Naksh standing there. She glanced towards Afrin's seat but found it empty-perhaps Afrin had gone to talk to Zaid.
"Haa boliye??" Aadya asked, curious. "Tum thik to hona, kisi ne kuch bola kya tumko?" Naksh's concern was evident as he looked at her.
(Yess!)
(Are you okay? Did someone say something to you?)
"Ha! Mughe kya hoga??" She replied with a smile, trying to brush off any worries he might have.
(Yes what will happen to me?)
"Phir tum school mai ro kyu rahi thi??" Naksh questioned further. He had noticed her distress earlier when she had bumped into him in a rush. Aadya was taken aback; how did he know about that?
(Then why were you crying in school?)
"Nahi nahi, mai bilkul thik hu. Woh bas mujhe andhere se dar lagta hai aur saari lights band hone lagi thi to..." Aadya explained, trailing off nervously.
(No-No I am okay, I am just a bit scared of darkness and that time all the lights started to be turned off)
"Ohh, mujhe laga kisi ne tumhe kuch bola hai. Agar kuch bhi koi bole to apne dost ko yaad kar lena, hadi torne ka mujhe 20 saal ka tajurba hai,"
Naksh said with a hint of playfulness, flashing his dimpled smile. Aadya couldn't help but smile back at his reassuring words.
(Ohh i thought someone said hurt you, if they do tell me I have an experience of 20 years in breaking bones)
Little did they know, throughout their conversation, someone had been discreetly watching them, their eyes filled with curiosity and perhaps a hint of jealousy.
ABIR
Do you think a butterfly can ever see their beautiful wings Aadu
...-ABIR'S POV-...
After I shouted at the players, I caught a glimpse of her blushing face, and for some reason, it stirred something unfamiliar inside me. Throughout the day, that moment kept replaying in my mind. Aadya seemed to linger in my thoughts, and I couldn't shake off the feeling that I had known her from somewhere before.
I've never been the type to dwell on friendships, especially with girls. Ever since my childhood best friend moved away due to her father's business, I've kept my interactions minimal. I'm not one for idle chatter, and my temper often keeps me distant from others to avoid unnecessary conflicts.
But Aadya was different. Since the day she bumped into me, I found myself wanting to talk to her, to hear her cheerful voice and see her infectious smile. It's strange because I've never been drawn to someone like this before. Even Naksh, my longtime friend, noticed my unusual behavior towards her and seemed surprised.
As I entered the coaching class, my eyes automatically searched for her. There she was, smiling and engaged in
conversation with someone.
I glanced over and saw Naksh standing beside her. His presence near her brought a mix of relief and a pang of jealousy I didn't quite understand.
I took my seat, trying to focus on the class, but my thoughts kept drifting back to Aadya. Her laughter echoed in my mind, and I couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to talk to her without feeling this strange mix of nervousness and excitement.
Maybe Naksh was right to be surprised. I never thought I'd find myself drawn to someone so quickly, especially not a girl who seemed to effortlessly break through my walls with just her smile.
The moment Naksh left, I approached her seat and noticed a bag placed there. Aadya didn't meet my gaze, and her usual bright smile was absent today.
"Is someone sitting here?" I asked, hoping she'd look at me. She glanced my way briefly before quickly looking away, avoiding eye contact. "Uh, Afrin is sitting here," she replied softly.
I couldn't help but feel a pang of disappointment at her response. There was something different about her today, and I sensed she was troubled by something. But why did it bother me? I brushed off my thoughts with a nonchalant "Oh..." and turned to leave.
Just then, Afrin approached us and interjected, "Sorry, Aadya. Bhaiya said to sit according to the seating arrangement!" Aadya glanced at Afrin and asked, "Okay, then who's sitting with me?"
"Abir, you're sitting with Aadya," Atrin informed me.
"Huh?" Aadya exclaimed, catching us off guard. We both looked at her, and she quickly corrected herself, "I mean, oh, okay, okay," giving a slightly awkward smile.
I couldn't help but smile at her slight fluster, finding her reaction oddly endearing.
...-AUTHOR'S POV-...
After sitting next to Aadya, Abir noticed her attempts to ignore him. She seemed determined to keep her distance, which he found puzzling given their recent interactions.
During the test, Aadya bit nervously on her pen while trying to recall answers. Abir, unable to resist teasing her, nudged his pen towards her with a mischievous grin.
"Ye bhi kha lo!" he quipped.
(Try this one too!)
Aadya looked at him with a questioning glance before realizing his playful intention. She removed her pen from her mouth and shot him a mock glare.
"Bhak, kuch bhi mat boliye!" she retorted, though a smile tugged at her lips involuntarily.
(Don't speak nonsense)
After the 50 Minute test finally ended, everyone started packing up to leave. Aadya gazed out of the window at the rain, realizing she hadn't brought an umbrella, and neither had Afrin.
Unknowingly, Abir found himself watching her. When she caught him staring, he quickly averted his gaze, feeling a bit awkward.
"Aap ghar nahi jayenge?" Aadya asked, noticing Abir still seated while everyone else was leaving.
(Aren't you going to leave for home?l
"Ha, wo main jaane hi wala tha," he replied.
(Uh-h, Yes I was about to leave only)
"Oh, okay. Bye," she said, getting up to leave, aware that the rain showed no signs of stopping.
As soon as Aadya stepped out of the coaching center, she dashed towards the road, ignoring Afrin's concerned calls. "Pagal hai to bimaar par jayegi!" Afrin shouted after her.
(Are you crazy you will fall ill!)
"Wo sab baad mein dekha jayega, abhi mujhe enjoy karne de!" Aadya laughed, dancing freely in the rain.
(We will see that later, for now let me enjoy it)
Both Naksh and Abir stood mesmerized, unable to take their eyes off her. Naksh admired her eyes and her carefree spirit, while Abir couldn't shake the feeling that she looked ethereal, like a fairy dancing in the rain.
After ten minutes, Afrin called out to Aadya again, urging her to come back. Aadya sneezed but remained defiant, continuing to sway in the rain with her eyes closed and a radiant smile on her face.
Just then, Aadya felt the rain stop. Opening her eyes, she found Abir standing before her, holding an umbrella over her head to shield her from getting any wetter.
Their eyes locked briefly before Aadya looked away.
Afrin and Naksh approached them, and Afrin whispered something to Aadya. She quickly turned around, realizing her white dress was clinging to her, revealing more than she intended. Abir, noticing the situation, took off his jacket and handed it to Afrin, along with his umbrella.
"But then you'll get wet," Aadya protested, refusing to take the umbrella.
"No, we'll share this umbrella, and you girls can take that one", Naksh suggested with a smile. Abir nodded in agreement.
...-AADYA'S POV-...
After arriving home, I took a refreshing shower and enjoyed a satisfying dinner. Returning to my room, I checked my phone and noticed a text from my friend Anjali. She was asking if I had bought the book we had been discussing earlier. I replied, promising to purchase it tomorrow since the weekend was approaching.
Placing my phone on charge, I played a soothing BTS song in the background and settled down to study.
It was now 10:05 PM. Finishing my homework, I checked my phone again and saw a message from Naksh.
Naksh: Did you reach home safely?
Me: Yes, I'm home. Sorry if I made you late too.
Naksh: No, it's not like that. Don't apologize.
Me: Hehe, still, it's because of me.
Naksh: Anyway, are you free tomorrow?
Me: Yes, why?
Naksh: I need to go to the bookstore, and I'm alone. If you want, you can come along.
Me: Oh, I was planning to go tomorrow anyway! I didn't know you also liked reading.
Naksh: Yeah, I enjoy reading too! So, what time should we go?
Me: Um, how about 4 PM?
Naksh: Okay, let's meet at 4 then.
After chatting with Naksh, I thought about texting Abir to ask when I could return his umbrella and jacket. But then, my need for beauty sleep reminded me to leave it for later and focus on resting for now.
Next Day-
ABIR
"Do you think a butterfly can ever see there beautiful wings Aadu
...--ABIR'S POV--...
It was a tranquil morning, the aftermath of yesterday's rain leaving a cool freshness in the air. After a hearty breakfast, I decided to dust off my bike and take it for a spin.
Returning home around 11 AM, I refreshed myself and checked my phone to find a message from Aadya. She was asking when she could return my jacket and umbrella.
"Hey!! Wo mujhe puchna tha ki main aapka jacket aur umbrella kab lauta un?"- Aadya
"Tumko jab time mile tab lautaa do..."
- Abir
"Then aap aaj free ho kya?"- Aadya
"Haan, 3 baje ke karib mere pass time hai."- Abir
"Aadya, okay to aap Blueberry Flower Shop ke paas mil sakte ho?"- Aadya
"Thik hai!!"- Abir
After chatting with her, memories of yesterday flooded back. Her image, dancing in the rain with that infectious smile, had etched itself into my mind like a fairy tale.
"Mesmerizing," I thought, recalling how she looked like a 'pari,' a fairy, amidst the raindrops. There was something strangely familiar about her, as if our paths had crossed before, though I couldn't pinpoint when or where.
Lost in thought, I found myself smiling at the mere thought of her. It was a feeling both exhilarating and unnerving, to be so captivated by someone I had only recently met. Yet, there was an undeniable charm in her presence that lingered long after she had left.
As the clock ticked towards 3 PM, I prepared myself to meet her again, eager to see that smile in person once more.
...-AADYA'S POV-...
After finishing my conversation with Abir, I decided to organize my books. With Mom out for the day, I had some quiet time to myself. Checking the time, I realized I needed to start getting ready.
Wearing my clothes, I tied my hair back into a loose ponytail, letting a few strands frame my face. A touch of lip balm and a light spritz of perfume completed my look.
As I gathered my books and double-checked my bag, I couldn't help but smile. There was a flutter of excitement in my stomach, a mix of nervousness and anticipation. Meeting Abir again felt like an adventure, and I was ready to embrace whatever the day had in store.
After reaching the Blue Berry Shop, a charming flower boutique near my coaching center, I eagerly awaited Abir's arrival. Checking my watch, it was already 3:45 PM, and he was still nowhere in sight.
Restless and feeling a bit bored, I decided to pass the time by plugging in my earphones and immersing myself in music.
Lost in the melody, I felt a gentle tug on my earphones.
Startled, I looked up, but the person had already moved away. With a slight frown, I adjusted my earphones and resumed my playlist, trying to ignore the distraction.
Moments later, the familiar sound of a motorcycle pulling up caught my attention. Looking up again, I saw Abir dismounting his bike and walking towards me with a casual stride. His hair was slightly tousled from the ride, and his easy smile made my heart skip a beat.
"Hey, sorry I'm late" he said, his voice warm and apologetic.
I smiled back, trying to play it cool despite the rush of excitement I felt. "It's okay, I wasn't waiting long," I replied, trying to hide how eagerly I had been anticipating his arrival.
He approached me gracefully after parking his bike, and my heart skipped a beat at how effortlessly handsome he looked. His presence reminded me of Tristan Cane from my favorite romance novel-charming and mysterious.
"Sorry for coming late!" he apologized sincerely, towering over me with his height.
"No problem at all," I replied warmly, smiling up at him. I extended the bag containing his jacket and umbrella towards him.
He accepted it graciously, glancing down at the bag.
"You didn't have to return them so quickly," he remarked.
"I was free today, so I thought why not!" I explained cheerfully. "And thank you so much!"
He looked at me intently for a moment, a thoughtful expression crossing his face. "Are you really thanking me?" he asked softly.
I furrowed my brows in confusion. "Yes, of course," I replied honestly.
"In that case, you'll have to do me a favor..." he trailed off, his eyes twinkling mischievously.
"Sure, what is it?" I asked eagerly.
He paused for a moment, as if carefully considering his next words. Then, with a playful smile he said-

...-AADYA'S POV-...
"Then take me for a coffee..." Abir suggested. His tone was casual, but there was an edge to his eyes that made me hesitate. I glanced at my watch-it was almost 4 PM.
Naksh would be on his way to pick me up for our library study session. I couldn't say no to Abir, but I didn't want to disappoint Naksh either.
"You can get me a coffee, right?" Abir asked again, raising an eyebrow, his gaze challenging.
"Um, actually-" I began, but Naksh's voice interrupted me.
"Hey, Aadya!" he called, walking towards us with a cheerful smile. He stopped short when he saw Abir.
"Hi, bro! I didn't know you were joining us," Naksh said, standing beside me, his tone light but with a hint of surprise.
"I didn't know you were coming either," Abir replied, glancing at me. There was a brief, tense silence as he waited for my response.
"I was about to tell you, Abir," I said, trying to keep my voice steady. "I can't get coffee now. Naksh and I have plans to go to the library."
Abir's expression shifted, a mix of disappointment and understanding. "Alright, then. I'll be heading out," he said, turning towards his bike. But he stopped when I called his name.
"Abir, wait," I said, taking a step towards him.
"Yeah?" Abir turned back, raising an eyebrow.
"If you have time, why don't you join us? I'll repay you by buying you that coffee," I suggested. He nodded and agreed, and we all headed to the library together.
Inside, Naksh went to return a book while I searched for the one my friend had recommended. "Finally found you!" I exclaimed, spotting it on the top shelf. I stretched, but it was too high for me. After five futile jumps, I glared at the book in frustration and muttered, "Great, just my luck."
Just as I was about to give up, I spotted a stool nearby.
"Seriously, Aadya, how blind can you be?" I muttered to myself, grabbing the stool. Standing on it, I reached for the book.
"Caught you!" I said triumphantly, but it was stuck. I gave it one last tug with all my strength.
"Jai Bajrangbali!" I exclaimed as the book finally came loose. I smiled, victorious, but as I was about to step down, I noticed the shelf wobbling.
"No, no, please don't fall," I whispered in panic, trying to step off the stool.
But before I could react, the shelf came crashing down.
Boom.
Pain shot through my head as the bookshelf fell on me, scattering books everywhere. I struggled to get up, the library staff and a few people rushing over.
"Aadya!" I faintly heard Naksh's voice as everything went black."We don't mind, but be more careful next time," Naksh said, patting my head gently.
I woke up to Naksh's worried face and Abir standing beside him. My head throbbed.
"Aadya! Are you okay?" Naksh asked, relief evident in his voice.
"Yeah, I'm okay," I replied, my voice weak.
"How did you manage to fall and bring the whole bookshelf down?" Abir asked, shaking his head as he sat next to me.
"I was just trying to get a book, and, well, things escalated," I said, giving an awkward smile.
Abir remained silent, his expression unreadable, but I felt a pang of guilt, thinking I might have upset him.
"Hey, let's get out of here!" I said, jumping up with forced enthusiasm, despite the throbbing in my head, and made my way to the exit.
They followed me, and after paying the fine for the mess, we left the library together.
"What do you guys want to drink?" I asked, looking at Naksh and Abir seated beside me. They exchanged glances and then scanned the restaurant, their expressions a mix of surprise and hesitation.
Ever since we arrived, they'd been acting strange, as if the place held some hidden secret. I shook off the feeling and decided to order first.
"Alright, I'll start. I'll have a choco-vanilla shake," I said, peering at the menu.
"Now, what about you two?" I was prompted again. They finally snapped out of their daze.
"I'll take a strawberry shake," Naksh said, offering an awkward smile. I turned to Abir, waiting for his order. He glanced away as soon as our eyes met.
"Um... vanilla shake for me," he muttered, avoiding my gaze.
"Okay, I'll be back in two minutes, or maybe five," I joked, standing up. Naksh quickly intervened.
"You sit down. I'll get them. You've got a bump on your head, remember?" Despite my protests, he headed off to place our orders.
More than ten minutes had passed, and Naksh was still waiting in line. Bored, I decided to strike up a conversation with Abir.
"So... is vanilla your favorite flavor?" I asked, trying to fill the silence.
"No not really I don't prefer shakes like drinks" he replied, catching himself.
"Wait, what?" I stared at him, wide-eyed. Before I could react, he corrected himself.
"I mean, I prefer cold drinks over shakes," he clarified, looking around nervously.
"Oh, thank goodness!" I sighed in relief. He raised an eyebrow, curiosity piqued.
"I thought you meant alcoholic drinks. You know they're bad for your health, and I got worried," I explained, laughing awkwardly.
A grin spread across his face, his bunny teeth showing.
Damn, that smile. He rarely smiles, but when he does, I have this urge to pull those squishy cheeks.
Focus, Aadya.
"By the way, is there something wrong with this restaurant?" I asked, noticing Abir's lingering look.
"What do you mean?" he replied, raising an eyebrow.
"I mean, ever since we got here, you and Naksh have been acting weird. Did you not like the place?" I probed further.
"Do you know what this place is called?" he asked, a slight smirk playing on his lips.
"Uh, isn't it just a restaurant?" I said, my curiosity piqued.
"You really don't know why this place is famous, do you?" He leaned in slightly.
"No, can you please tell me?" I requested, intrigued.
"This place is known for being a hotspot for couples. They come here to enjoy each other's company," he explained, watching my reaction.
"With each order, every couple gets a box containing a bracelet and lockets. It's a sweet gesture to celebrate their bond."
I stared at him, finally understanding why they had been acting strange. "And there's a small Krishna temple here.
Couples take blessings, wishing for their unbreakable bonds," he added, finishing his explanation.
"That's so lovely," I murmured, my eyes lighting up at the thought of the Krishna statue.
"Why are you so happy?" he asked, noticing my beaming expression.
"Don't you find that cute?" I said, not being able to control my excitement.
He didn't reply, just kept looking at me with that same soft smile.
...-AUTHOR'S POV-...
They were looking at each other when Naksh returned with the shakes, breaking the spell. "Here you go..." he said, handing them their drinks before sitting down.
"Thanks," Aadya said, taking a sip. "Wow, this is tasty!"
Naksh smiled, his dimples showing. "Glad you like it."
Aadya turned to Abir with an innocent gaze. "Do you like it?"
Yeah, it's good," he replied, a hint of admiration in his eyes as he watched her.
"Isn't it sweet?" she asked again, her expression so endearing that Naksh chuckled.
"Yeah, it's sweet," Abir said, unable to tear his eyes away from her fluffy cheeks.
They finished their shakes, and Naksh and Abir exchanged amused glances. Aadya, unaware, had a little shake still on her face, making her look like an adorable rabbit.
"Why are you two smiling?" she asked, feeling awkward under their gaze.
"Your face..." Naksh said, handing her a tissue.
"Is it okay now?" she asked after wiping her face.
"Yeah, it's fine," Naksh reassured her, trying to stifle a laugh. They all got up to leave when Aadya suddenly remembered, "Hume bhi box mila hoga na?"
("We must have gotten the box too, right?")
The boys looked at her in surprise "Yeah why?" Naksh asked, curious.
"Then why don't we open it?" she suggested, holding out her hand. Naksh handed her the box, and she quickly opened it.
"Wow, this is so cute!" Aadya exclaimed, finding a half-heart locket inside.
The boys opened their boxes too. Abir had the other half of the heart, while Naksh had a set of matching bracelets.
"Umm, Aadya, want to match it with me?" Naksh asked, handing her one of the bracelets. Aadya smiled and extended her hand, and he gently fastened the bracelet on her wrist.
Aadya then turned to Abir. "What did you get?" she asked, peeking into his box.
"Uh, the other half of the heart locket," he replied. She showed him her half, and their pieces fit together perfectly.
"Why don't we take blessings from Krishna for our friendship to last?" Aadya suggested. The boys agreed, and they went to the small Krishna temple inside, offering a silent prayer.
Outside, as they waited for Naksh, Abir noticed something. "Uh, there's something on your face..." he said awkwardly. Aadya tried to wipe her face with the back of her hand.
"Still there?" she asked.
Abir didn't answer immediately. Instead, he bent down to her height and gently wiped above her lips with his handkerchief. Their eyes locked, and she looked away, a blush creeping across her cheeks.
"Uh, it was just... right there," he stammered, his own cheeks reddening.
To break the awkward silence, Aadya asked, "Didn't you like the locket?"
"No, I liked it," he said.
"But you're not wearing it," she pointed out, looking up at him.
"I... don't really know how to put it on. I'll wear it when I get home," he said, making a feeble excuse. She nodded, satisfied.
Naksh finally returned, and they started walking home.
Naksh and Aadya chatted animatedly, while Abir lagged slightly behind, his eyes often drifting to Aadya.
Just as Naksh received a call and had to leave, Abir saw a flower shop and hurriedly asked her to wait.
Aadya waited, feeling a bit awkward as it was getting late. She was about to call Abir when she felt someone behind her. Startled, she spun around.
"Here you go!" Abir said, holding out a tiara made of fresh pink roses, his expression a mix of shyness and hopefulness.
