(Male lead: Sehun Kang)
(Female lead: Lena kim)
Lena adjusted her veil, her fingers trembling slightly as she stared at her reflection. Her pure black hair cascaded down her back, contrasting against the delicate white lace of her wedding dress. Dark brown eyes, soft features, full heart-shaped lips, and a high-bridge nose—features she had always considered ordinary.
And yet, people always seemed drawn to her. There was something about her that made her noticeable, something that caught attention even when she didn’t try. Her pale skin only added to the contrast, making her look delicate under the soft lighting.
Today, she was a bride.
She was getting married.
At twenty, she had never imagined herself in such a grand ceremony. Her family was middle-class, and extravagance was never a part of her life. But Sehun Kang was different—wealthy, powerful, and now, her husband-to-be.
She had only met him once before. He had been polite, reserved, his dark eyes unreadable. But she hoped love would follow, that their marriage would grow into something real.
A knock on the door pulled her from her thoughts. Her mother stepped in, eyes filled with emotion. “Lena, it’s time.”
Her younger sisters, Mira and Jisoo, rushed to her side, adjusting the folds of her dress.
“You look so pretty, unnie,” Mira whispered, eyes shining.
Jisoo crossed her arms. “You better visit us often.”
Lena laughed, hugging them both. “I promise.”
With a deep breath, she walked into the grand hall. The venue was breathtaking—white roses, golden chandeliers, and a long aisle that felt endless. But her gaze locked onto only one person.
Sehun stood at the altar, tall and striking in a tailored black suit. His sharp features were impossible to ignore—jet-black hair styled perfectly, dark eyes focused solely on her. His fair skin stood out against his dark suit, his presence commanding the attention of everyone in the room. He was undeniably handsome, and for a moment, Lena felt lucky.
As she reached him, he extended his hand. She hesitated for a brief second before placing hers in his. His grip was firm and steady, his expression calm.
The officiant’s words blurred as emotions swirled inside her. Then came the vows.
Sehun’s voice was deep and unwavering. “I vow to protect you, to cherish you… and to be by your side.”
Lena smiled softly as she spoke her own vows.
As soon as the rings were exchanged, the officiant pronounced them husband and wife. Sehun leaned in, his lips pressing against hers. The kiss was gentle yet firm, lingering just enough to make her breath hitch.
The guests clapped, her mother and sisters watching with teary smiles. Lena allowed herself to believe this was the start of something beautiful.
As they walked down the aisle together, Sehun looked down at her and gave a small, unreadable smile.
Lena looked ahead, holding onto the hope that this marriage would bring her happiness.

Lena sat at the edge of the massive bed, her fingers gripping the silk sheets. The weight of the day pressed down on her—her wedding, leaving her family, stepping into a life she barely understood. The room was grand, almost suffocating in its silence.
Sehun stood near the window, one hand in his pocket, his tie slightly loosened. He hadn’t said much since they entered the room, but she could feel his gaze on her. When he finally moved, it was slow, deliberate, like he had all the time in the world.
“You look tense.” His voice was deep, smooth.
Lena exhaled, offering a small smile. “It’s just… a lot to take in.”
He studied her for a moment before sitting beside her, his presence close enough to make her pulse unsteady.
“That’s normal.” He leaned back slightly, resting his arm on the bed frame. “A stranger one moment, a husband the next. It doesn’t feel real yet, does it?”
Lena hesitated before shaking her head. “No, it doesn’t.”
Sehun smirked faintly. “It will.”
She turned to look at him. His dark eyes were unreadable, calm yet holding something deeper—something she couldn’t quite name.
“I don’t know what kind of husband you’ll be,” she admitted, her voice quiet but steady.
He tilted his head slightly. “And what do you expect?”
Lena searched for the right words. “Not love, not yet. But respect, maybe. Understanding.”
Sehun was silent for a moment before he leaned in slightly, his gaze never leaving hers. “Marriage isn’t built on expectations, Lena. It’s built on what we make of it.”
Something about the way he said it sent a chill down her spine.
He reached out, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear. His fingers lingered just a second too long before he pulled away.
“You’ll get used to this life,” he said, his voice quiet but firm. “Whether you want to or not.”
Lena’s breath caught, a strange unease settling in her chest. It wasn’t a threat. Not exactly. But it wasn’t reassurance either.
For a moment, they just stared at each other, the air between them heavy. Then, Sehun stood up, unbuttoning the cuffs of his shirt.
“Get some sleep,” he said, his tone unreadable. Lena was already really tired that without realising she slept while sitting on the bed..
Her mind restless even as exhaustion pulled at her.
As Lena was asleep sehun layed down on the bed beside her it doesn't feel bad but it doesn't feel good either it's been so long since he slept with someone from the day his mother died he always sleeps alone so it felt strange "If I found her annoying I will divorce her I only did this marriage because of mother anyway I don't want someone buzzing around me like a fly." Because his mother wanted to shut the mouth of the people that she doesn't treat her step son right (she never even looked at him..)

Question from readers: TELL ME HAVE YOU EVER WANTED SOMEONE SO MUCH THAT IT HURTS?
Sehun's mother: Mia
Sehun's father: Kang
Sehun's sister: Linda
Sehun's brother: Jake
The sound of clouds grumbling make me open my eyes from my sleep "hm? ... it's raining outside no wonder the room is still dark when it's 9 in the morning" suddenly my gaze landed on sehun…
He was sleeping beside me…. shirtless? W-what!? Seriously how can he be so normal with me like it's not a big deal. Anyway let change I'm still in my wedding gown and it's so uncomfortable.
After getting ready Lena came out of the bathroom finding sehun already in his suit "oh good morning" she said looking at him,, and he replied "Yes good morning to you too" he said looking in the mirror fixing his tie "let's go to have breakfast".
Both of them went in the dinning room in which Sehun's family was seated. "Hello" Lena said to everyone and they both sat to eat breakfast Linda is one year older than Sehun, so she is the oldest child and I heard that she was divorced. His brother Jake is just as good-looking as sehun, but he looked annoyed?.
Oh his father and brother didn't replied to my greeting. Suddenly Sehun's mother speak breaking my thoughts "So Lena what happened to your father?" Lena was a bit taken aback "umm he died from heart attack". "Oh poor you must be, so difficult for you, but where did your mother get the money to raise you all I mean since your father-"
Lena cutted Sehun's mother "My father left enough money for mother that she could raise us, and than I started doing jobs at the office as I studied in IT, so my pay was pretty good"
My hands were trembling but I pulled up the courage to reply can't believe she is insulting me why is she doing this anyway she just nodded it off looks like she isn't angry "I'll be leaving then all of you enjoy breakfast" sehun left I wonder why he didn't even said a word during this conversation and after a while his brother Jake left as well they work at the same company, but doesn't go together I also got up and went to my room after making a small talk with Sehun's father and mother. His father doesn't act out of the blue though and he also left for work he goes in the end I guess.
Lena was talking on the phone with her friend rosy and told her about the situation "wait sehun didn't stand up for you in all this situation?" rosy asked "no he didn't... I think no one in this family has any liking to me because I'm not of their level I guess" rosy said "wait Lena this is wrong you are his wife at least he should have stood up for you" "forget it rosy I think life isn't fair, is it? Anyway I will talk to you later bye" and the call ended.
Lena went to Linda Sehun's sister she saw her in the garden reading book "hello ms.linda-" Linda cut Lena "seriously your way of talking is like a servant" Lena was shocked by her response "y-yes? ...how should I address you than?" Linda got up and left without replying seriously what's wrong with everyone! Lena went to her room and as it's evening sehun and Jake and his father came back from the company.
