Dear Diary,

There are certain things which are easier unsaid.Things which may shatter this beautiful world I have created about 'us'.

I fear that if spoken this words will ruin our heart so I am putting it here.

Though I am nineteen...still I feel like sixteen,with reminiscence of the day when you gifted me this diary.Huh! It feels like yesterday when you crashed in my birthday party.Though it was my day but all I was staring at was'you'. Your beautiful blue eyes were just like Oceanic waves,your golden-brown hair make you look even more handsome.Your smile is just like Sun rays brightening the day and you are one of the most beautiful creations of lord.

I can't explain this feeling emerging in my heart because of you and your presence but everytime you are near I can't breathe.

It is the first time I am feeling a strange thing in my heart , a feeling which I had never felt before...a feeling I never knew existed.

It makes me as nervous as it makes me happy.Around you I am so shy and unspoken.

But everytime you are not near...I want to talk to you a lot ,everyday, every second but whenever I get the chance to speak to you I just can't find any words...I just become hazy,and mesmerized by your one glimpse...you don't know when you are in front of me,my mind goes blank.

Is it what they call attraction? Is it what they call love? If yes then let me tell you all.....I have been keeping a secret from a long time deep inside my heart...A secret that would rip my soul if that one person gets to know about it.A secret that I want him to know as much as I don't but I feel happy keeping it a secret because it's the only thing between "us"

I hate to admit it as much as I love to show...I think and I know...I have a crush on him...yes I do..

Lia

Narrator's Pov:-

Lia and Evan live in the same colony and share the same building...he lives in apartment beneath her.

They grew up together as best friends, playing together, laughing together and shared the same school but due to some circumstances they both had to change the schools.

Even the change of school could not make their friendship fade ..they still remained best friends but then Lia's father had to transfer to another city due to which she had to leave X city for five years. Five years later when she was fifteen she returned back to X city and found out that Evan has changed..

She felt sad and knew everything will fade but

There was a little hope in her heart and when she turned sixteen she invited him on her birthday...Now they only met on the road, on the colony and on each other's birthday not like best friends but like casual people who knew each other more than closely.

Dear Diary,

It was winter. The haze wandered through the edges of poignant walls of the street, penetrating in my skin giving me chills all over my body.

I paced ignorantly but the weather was so therapeutic that I felt soothing.I felt every inch of the wind in my body, shivering but enjoying it.

I tugged my stall, rubbed my hand to warm up,breathing out and I saw you passing by.The weather suddenly become hot after your advent.Your eyes melted every corner of my soul and when they made a contact with mine,I swear I could not breathe...my cheeks heated up all of a sudden and I did not realize that I was blushing hard.

The distance between us was like the sunny days and the tender tension between us ....I can't explain it. It's different when it's you...and I love it.You smiled not knowing that you had killed my heart ....every inch of my soul with that adorable look...I wish you knew...

Lia

Narrator's Pov:-

As soon as Evan left Lia heaved a deep sigh of relief.Her heart pounded rhythmically shouting out his name.She quicken her pace and headed home,locking herself inside her room.

She gasped as she closed the door shut.

"My goodness...We were too close"

Suddenly her mother interrupted, knocking at the door,"Lia..."She called out.

"Yes mom"Lia opened the door and saw her mom with ... him.... . Her eyes widened with astonishment.

"Lia..Evan's inviting you out for dinner, rest you both can figure out...."Saying this her mother left to bring some snacks for the kids.

19 Year old Lia felt the same amazement when she was sixteen as if traveling back in time and enjoying the same thrill of crushing over him.

"mmmm...Can I come in?" He asked gently.

"Uh..yeah,sure..."

They sat on the bed together.

"Did I hear mom right? ..like did I get her wrong or something...or did I not understand what she meant....dinner ?huh..!."Lia was nervous.

"Actually I and Ema wanna go out on a date but I can't tell my parents about it...my mom will ground me if she gets to know I am dating a girl when I am twenty one...She thinks I am too young to date Ema..."He explained.

"How old is she ?"I enquired.

"umm...24"He replied,"But that doesn't matter ...now the time has changed...it doesn't matter right..age doesn't matter..."He added.

Lia remained silent as if hiding her wrecked feelings...She felt despondent about the fact that ,the love of her life loved someone else but she did not let her feelings invade the situation.She kept her cool.

"So would you like to join us for the dinner....please please please?"He asked.

Lia hid the tears which were about to fall,deep inside the ocean of melancholic depression and interrupted him,"but what if she feels insecure or awkward?"

"I will leave you on the car ..maybe ...if you don't mind...just please agree to me...my mom won't allow me to hang out with any other girl... except you...We have been childhood friends...please...,next time I will treat you a dinner....please "He added.

Lia put a fake smile on her face and replied,"Okay..Just text me the time...and yeah don't ditch me ... don't forget the dinner lol just us...no Ema .."

"Thanks a lot ,you are a saviour "He pinched her cheeks.

Narrator's Pov:-

Evan left leaving Lia in a dilemma ...she could not choose between her heart and mind...

"uh...what the hell..."she whispered under her breath.

After a while Evan texted her to be outside her home by 7 p.m to which she replied with a thumbs up.

Before seven ,Lia was ready wearing a soft white frock.

waiting for Evan outside her home.

She continued checking her time when Evan startled her with his entry in his beautiful black car.

"My goodness you freaked me out"Lia complained.

"I am sorry ,get in....."he added.

Lia saw a girl with wavy hair,hazel eyes,cherry red lips and a sharp nose bridge wearing a deep red gown, sitting in the front with Evan.

"So she's Ema ...."she thought and opened the door of the backseat.

She was standing still cursing herself and recalling every reason for which she was going with them.....in their date night.

"Lia is there a problem?"asked Evan gently.

Lia came out of her thoughts and entered the backseat and settled down comfortably.

As she shut the door close,Evan started driving.

"Lia this is Ema...the girl about whom I had told you today"He introduced,""Ema this is Lia, my childhood friend...."

"She's cute...I wonder if you have ever fallen for her "She chuckled.

Evan did not reply her , instead he gave an awkward laugh.

Lia was seated with her heart poundering at Ema's word...

Soon they reached the restaurant and Evan with Ema headed inside leaving,Lia alone....

Lia was scrolling her phone down as the silence penetrated inside the car's window...Lia felt eccentric...the chaos inside her heart was enough to break the silence which made the atmosphere peculiar...

To come out of the situation and to make herself better she watched reels and shared conversations with her friends.

Suddenly, out of the blue she got a call from her mother and she picked it up.

"Hello Lia...Sir Johannes (Lia's class teacher) has informed in the group that your exams are on their way...I think you can ask Evan to help you out with extra books and previous years question papers,,,he is your senior so I guess he can help you with it...."She explained.

"Uh...okay mom...I will ask him out after the dinner..."she replied.

"By the way, how's the dinner going? "asked Lia's mom.

"It's fine...Evan has ordered chicken nuggets and burger...he is eating them like a beast...I think mom I should hang up now....I m sorry I will call you later ..okay??"

"Hmm take care" said her mom and Lia hanged up.

"Huh!"Sighed Lia,keeping her hands on her forehead..."Wtf!"

Suddenly she was startled by a knock at the window.It was Ema.She had held packed food in her left hand.

Lia opened the window and Ema handed her the food.

"Lia...it's your favourite grilled chicken...Evan told me to give it you ...all the time we were inside ,he was tensed about you..here have it..."Said Ema.

Lia took the stuff and asked,"Where's he?"

"Paying the bills...he'll be here in two minutes"Ema had not even completed her words that Evan showed up.

"How were you all this time?''He asked Lia...

"fine..."Lia replied.

Ema and Evan got inside the car and Evan drove quickly.

"Evan..."called out Lia.

''Hmm..."

"I need some books and previous two years question paper from you... whenever you're free ''

"Uh..okay.. let me drop Ema and then we'll head my home."

"But it's too dark.... isn't it...."Lia was nervous.

"But we leave inside the same building... don't we?"

Then the silence broke out and Evan dropped Ema home.

After which he returned to the colony and parked his car inside the garage.
