Monday morning\, It was raining heavily... *Tap! Tap! Tap!*... A 17 years old black haired girl was running along the street. A car passed by splashing water...

*Ring! Ring! Ring!*... The school bell rang\, a blonde girl started to shout out at the girl\, "C'mon Rain!!! We'll be late for class..." Both girls almost ran to their class. They reached on time. The class started then.....

Rain is an A grade student of Grandview High school, 2nd year. She was very quiet and clumsy. Her best friend, the blonde girl was Ivy, a very sweet girl... After class, there was a basketball match between two classes of 2nd year. One of them was Rain's class.

- "Let's go!" Ivy spoke to her.

- "Where??" Rain replied quickly.

- "Basketball match! Did you forget about it? It's our class's match today..."

- "Oh... Yeah! Okay\, you go ahead! I've some work in the library\, so..." Rain answered with very little interest.

Ivy cut her in, "No way! You're coming with me! No discussion... C'mon!"

- "Fine! Fine! Let's go!"

Shane was the most popular boy in their class, as he was an awesome basketball player yet an A grade student! Axel and Sean were his best friends and awesome players. The trio was the famous one and the school's hunks...

*Pat! Pat! Pat!*...

All the boys were running around with the ball and *Whoosh* Rain's class did another Basket! Ivy almost jumped on\, "YAAYYY!!! C'MON SEAN! You can do this!!!“ Ivy was partially supporting Sean which was noticed by Rain so she spoke out, "Why are you only supporting for one guy? Ain't you supporting the whole class?!"

"Uh... That... Ummm, because he's playing well! And He's off course in our team!" Ivy said.

Rain smirked on her comment, "Really...?! ok!"

Rain eyes were fixed on the ball rather than the boys\, it's been 3 years since she'd played with the ball... A nostalgia\, a few sweet memories of middle school. Her eyes were in a daze when a sound break her reverie *YAAYYY!* She quickly looked up and saw the notice board that their class had won the match! A huge round of applause for the winners... Suddenly\, Ivy elbowed Rain and She turned towards her\, "What's it, Ivy?"

"Look at the ground, Someone's looking here... Over there!" Ivy said while pointing her eyes to a particular guy in the field. Rain turned around and saw, Shane was looking at them. Rain sighed, "That guy...?! Isn't he a grade A one?"

Ivy patted on her head, "Seriously?! Girl... He's Shane!!! Don't you know he's the famous hunk of our school? And look he's talking to Sean!“

"Uh! You'd quite an interest in that Sean guy, don't you?!"

"I'm talking about Shane, not Sean... Why you always bring him in??"

Rain laughed, "Heh! Fine... Let's go back!" They left the place with the rest of their classmates.

The team won the match without much difficulty, the hardest matches were yet to come. The boys were happy, jumping, and shouting in the corridor on their way to the changing room.

-        “Hey, Sean, that girl from our class is always cheering for you,"  said Axel, teasing him.

-        “Shut up! are you jealous or what?" said Sean.

Axel clung to Sean's shoulder and whispered in his ear

- "You know what? She suddenly got my attention. You wouldn't mind if I steal her from you\, right?"

Sean stopped annoyed "what does it have to do with me?"

“Hey, stop it! hurry up and change!" Said Shane looking at them. He continued "There's a party afterwards!"

Axel ignored him and continued, “Well, Sean, I am gonna confess to her after the party, huhu, you can have her friend if you want, hahaha..."

“You are kidding, right?" said Sean laughing, "Wait, you don't remember who's Ivy's friend, do

you?  she was in our same year in middle school... She used to be the ace of the basketball team, haha, don't tell me... Ok, forget it, I don't want to know what you were into back then."

"Haha, no you don't," said Axel winking his eye.

Shane got curious. "Hey Sean, why isn't she playing now? The female team is always scouting for new

players. Should we ask her to join them?"

Sean hesitated for a moment. The answer came out cold, "I don't think they want her in their team. She

stood the team up right at the finals. There was even a fight with the manager... Well, you know, girls..."

"Right at the finals...Humm, You guys, I'll kill u if u do that to me, hahaha," said Shane, looking at them...

It was 5 pm and they were already late for the party. It was raining and their sports bags were getting wet. They ran to the metro station and stopped below one of the monitors. Right beside them Ivy and Rain were waiting on the platform.

Rain and Shane's eyes met for a second. He averted his gaze after realising who she was. He didn't know her but he did feel uncomfortable thinking about what she had done to her team. Ivy ran to Sean but Axel got in the way.

"Hey, Ivy, It's me, Axel, what's up? You two are coming to the party with us, right? Let me accompany you." Axel said while taking her hand. They ran and got on the metro... They were chatting and joking happily. Shane

looked at Sean. He was too quiet. There was a strange look in his eyes, "he is really annoyed" though Shane.

Shane looked at Ivy and Axel, then at Sean, and he understood the situation. Rain met Shane's eyes again and smiled at him. This time Shane did not move his eyes from her. They shared a moment of complicity. "Somehow, she looks different," he thought while closing his eyes.

The party had just started... Shane had a complex feeling about Rain after hearing her betrayal. Axel seemed pretty flirty around Ivy, though it was way too less than harmful. Sean seemed quite annoyed by the whole

thing, so he tried to ignore them... But Ivy's eyes were finding only Sean.

Rain seemed quite left alone in the crowd. She stepped aside looking at her fellow friends enjoying. She was kinda used to it, from middle school. Her friends abandoned her alone after one incident, except Ivy and a

few friends... Rain turned around the window, looking at the wide night sky when someone startled her.

-"Hey! Thinking about your boyfriend?!"

Rain quickly turned around, "Wahhh..." It was surprisingly Sean.  Sean seemed not too much friendly with girls so it was kinda weird.

-"Hey!.. You almost freaked me out! Sean, right...?!", said Rain looking upside down.

- "Yep! I guess you don't remember me... I was your classmate in middle school too!", said Sean putting on a friendly smile.

But hearing the name of 'middle school' Rain retreated, "Oh!... Ummm, okay... So...??"

Sean quickly turned towards Ivy and Axel and sighed, "Ah! I gave in... Rain!"

- "What's it??"

- "Can you help me?? please!!!" begged Sean.

- "Okay... But in what?! Tell me... I'll if possible"

- "So... Can you help me out with Ivy? I know it's weird... But I've no choice other than you! You're her bestie...  Seansighed.

Rain quickly took a look at Ivy who was with Axel and a few boys and girls... She quickly assumed the whole thing and smiled,

"Sean...I can only help you to create a chance, and after that, all is up to you! Okay?"

Sean nodded quickly, "Sure thing! Thank you, Rain... Actually, I never expected that you would help me."

Rain gave him a bitter smile and started to walk towards Ivy and others. Ivy noticed Rain quickly walked to her.

- "Rain! I'm sorry\, I left you alone... You know these guys." Said Ivy holding her hands, "C'mon here..."

Rain halted, "No! Let's Dance!" Ivy almost jumped off,

-"Really?! Dance!... You!!! C'mon then... What're you waiting for?!" Ivy almost dragged her along with, smiling.

*With Sean*

After Rain left his side, he sighed of relief. "What were you doing with her?!" Said Shane.

Sean almost got scared as he didn't notice Shane behind him.

-  "What the...?!" Said Sean,

- "Are you out of your mind\, bro?!" Shane chuckled... *Pffft!* "Hahaha! No way! Just answer me Sean! Earlier you said she's not reliable and now...?"

- "Who said she's not reliable?!"

- "Huh...?! You... Said earlier... Forget it, what are you up to?"

- "Ah! That's not something you should care about, right? Anyways, let's dance!"

- "What?!... Dance??"

Sean dragged him along with himself to the dance floor where was Rain and Ivy! Rain was glad that at least Sean understood her gesture. Shane noticed Rain was just moving around, not dancing apart from Ivy, who was acing the floor. Ivy was enjoying herself when Axel joined all of them. But Ivy didn't give him any attention this time. Rain took the chance and holding Ivy's hand, she slightly pushed her towards Sean. Sean gladly took her hand and led the dance along. Rain smirked at him as did he! Like, "Mission Accomplished!" Ivy was so cheerful as Sean, finally, they got a chance to talk.

Rain giggled a little after taking a glance at them. She quietly left the dance floor and went to a quieter place. Shane watched the whole thing, what Rain did for his friend and somehow he started to feel a little different from before about her.

"Maybe... She's not that scheming as I thought." Shane thought to himself. A few girls were approaching him on the dance floor so he started to feel uncomfortable, as he didn't like clingy girls at all. He excused himself from them and started to walk away from there. Suddenly he noticed Rain, sitting all alone in a corner looking at her phone. Unconsciously he approached her.....
