When l was born, I wanted to have a nice family. But I was wrong, I was born into a bad family. I always get beaten by them and I wanted to stop. But it can’t be stopped. My body is filled with wounds, scratches, cuts. It was very painful. I just wish this pain would stop. When I went to my first day of school, I thought l could meet new friends. But instead, I get bullied. I always get bullied almost every single day. I always think “why does everyone hate me? Is it because I look different?” I always think about this every day, and I can’t find the answer to why.

And it’s getting worse. My body is almost full of wounds, and I wish this wound would stop my pain. But it keeps filling up, and l can’t hold this pain anymore. When I was 12 years old, I want to end my life, I go to the kitchen and grab a knife. I want to end myself but, I can’t end myself because I’m scared, they’re worried about me. So, I thought, I’ll give it a second chance. If they didn’t change, then l would end myself.

At high school, I was thinking “I hope this school doesn’t like my old school, I hope we can get along.” When l enters the gate of the school. There’s a girl with blonde, black hair and she approach me. I was so scared she wanted to hurt me. But this girl just wanted to say “hello”. I thought she was going to hurt me, but she didn’t. She grabs my hand and tours me around the high school. This school big and my brain starts to melt because the school has many places to explore. The girl looks at me with a worried face.

“What’s wrong?” she says.

“Oh, I’m just feeling dizzy with the school. It’s having so many places to explore.” I speak.

“Yeah, it’s big in this school. But you will get used to it.” She says with a happy face.

Suddenly a boy approach to the girl

“Melisa, where have you been? I was looking for you about a hour.” He says with a tried face.

“Sorry Gepard.” She says with a sad face.

“It’s okey, please don’t do that again, Okey?” He speaks.

“Okey Gepard” she says, and she smiles.

I didn’t speak because I didn’t want to interrupt both.

Suddenly Gepard look at me

“Are you the new student?” He speaks.

“Um… Yeah, I’m new student.” I speak.

“Oh, well My Name’s Gepard, nice to meet you.” He speaks.

“Nice to meet you Gepard, My Name’s Elvin.” I speak

“Elvin? What a nice name.” He says and smiles at me.

“Elvin? What a cute name.” She says with a smile face.

I was shocked because I have never gotten compliments before.

“Did you say Cute!?” I say with a shocked face.

“Yes, It’s cute name.” She says while smiling.

“Not gonna lie, not just your name. your face too. It’s cute.” He speaks.

I was speechless when Melisa and Gepard said that My Name and My Face is cute.

Melisa and Gepard look at me with a worried face

“Elvin? Are you okey? You make us worried.” He speaks.

“Did I break him!? Elvin!?” She says and starts to panic.

Suddenly another boy came to check what’s going on.

“What’s going on here? Why both of you look worried?”

“We Broke Elvin, he didn’t speak anything since now.” Melisa says with a worried face.

“Elvin?” The boy looked confused, and he look at me, then he realized.

“ELVIN!?” The boy looks shocked.

Suddenly I realized the voice, I start to speak

“I know that voice…” I say with a shocked tone.

I look at him and realized

“REIN!?” I speak

The boy now realized, that’s his Old Friend.

“Yes, It’s me. Long time no see, Elvin.” He speaks.

I hug him so tightly, He hug me back

“Hehe, you really miss me. Did you?” He says with a happy face.

“Yes, I really miss you. Where have you been?” I say with a sad face.

Gepard start to speak

“Rein, Elvin is your old friend?” He says with a curious face.

Rein nods his head

“Yes, Since I meet him. He is a shy and quiet person. Everyone thinks he is a bad person. But he’s not. He kind and overprotective if you know him more.” He speaks.

Gepard look shocked and Melisa start to speak

“Why He so overprotective? Is that a necessary?” She speaks.

“He always like that, Elvin really overprotective because he cares.” He says while Elvin still hugs him tightly.

Gepard Speak

“That’s very kind of him.” He says and he smiles.

Suddenly, the school bell is ringing

“We should go to the classroom; the lesson was about to start.” Melisa says.

Everyone nodded their head and went their class….

After few hours, school is over

Everyone starts to walk out of the school gate

I was about to go out of the school gate. But Melisa calling me

“ELVIN! WAIT UP!”

I turned around and looked at her, she was exhausted running toward me.

“I have been calling you many times. But you still not listening.” She speaks.

“Sorry for that.” I speak.

She sighs and look back at me

“It’s okey Elvin.” She speaks.

“So, why are you calling me?” I say with a curious face.

“Gepard, Rein, and Me was wondering, if you want to hang out with us.” She speaks.

I was shocked, nobody asked me to hangout. It’s the first time I get to ask to hangout

“Sure, I would love to hang out with you guys.” I speak.

She looks excited when l accepts it

“Okey then, tomorrow at the park 8 a.m.” She speaks.

“Alright, l’ll be there.” I speak.

“I’m gonna go now, Bye.” She says and waves her hand.

“Goodbye, take care.” I say and wave her goodbye.

The Next Day, I woke up from my bed. I feel great, I go to the bathroom to take a shower. After that, l changed my clothes and went to the kitchen to make breakfast. After I was done eating, my phone’s ringing in my pocket. I grabbed my phone and picked it up.

“Hello?” I speak.

The one who calls me is Melisa.

“Elvin, are you done yet? The three of us are waiting for you at outside of your house.” She speaks.

“I’m done, I’m coming out.” l says.

“Okey then.” She speaks.

I hung up the phone and went outside of my house, I opened the door and see the three of them are waiting for me.

“I’m ready.” I speak.

“Okey, let’s go.” She says and grabs my right hand.

She drags me to the park; I was shocked when she grabs my right hand

“Why are you dragging me? I can walk by myself.” I speak.

“I just want to drag you to the park.” She says and giggles.

Gepard and Rein are chuckle see Melisa dragging me to the park

I was so embrassed to see them chuckle and giggle at me

I look at Gepard and l see he holds his guitar.

“Gepard, are your guitarist?” I say with a curious face.

“Yes, I’m guitarist. I have play it since l was 10 years old.” He says and smiles.

“Can I listen you play it?” I ask.

“Of course,” he says and smiles.

I smiled and Gepard started playing his guitar. I listen to him play; he plays very well.

“You’re very good play the guitar.” I speak.

“Thanks” he says and smiles.

“Do you play instrument?” he asks.

Melisa is thinking the same thing

“Yes, I do play instrument.” I speak.

“What kind of instrument do you play?” He asks.

“I play the violin and piano.” I speak.

Gepard and Melisa are shocked that Elvin can play two instruments

“You can play the violin and piano!?” The two of them ask and are still shocked.

“Yes, I can play two instruments. I have play it since l was little.” I speak.

“Since l met him, he always practices his music skills, like the violin and the piano. He also sings while play it.” Rein says.

“You can sing while play the violin or the piano!?” Gepard asked.

Elvin nods his head

“I don’t know Elvin can sing while play the violin or the piano.” Melisa says.

“Hehe… now you know.” I say while chuckling.

After that, we will have fun at the park. At the evening, we got home.

“Today was fun, right?” Melisa asks.

They nod their head

“Yeah, today it was fun. I’m glad we can hang out together.” Gepard says while smiling.

“Me too.” Rein says.

They look at Elvin, who seems quiet suddenly. They’re look worried

“Hey, Elvin? Are you alright?” Gepard asked.

“Is something wrong, Elvin?” Melisa asks.

Elvin looks at them

“Huh? Oh… I’m alright.” I speak.

“Are you sure?” Gepard says, who still worries about him.

Elvin smile at them

“I’m sure, don’t worry about me.” He speaks.

Rein didn’t believe what Elvin said, he knows since both are kid.

“Elvin, I have known you since we were kids. You can’t lie to me, even your new friends.” He says with a serious face.

Elvin knows that Rein has been with him since they were kids. He was just afraid to tell the truth about his past. He doesn’t want to share his bad memories with them.

Elvin is still quiet, the three of them are getting worried. After fews minute, Rein speak.

“Elvin, you can’t hide your feeling from us.” He speaks.

“Just, tell us what’s wrong?” Gepard says.

“Please Elvin, we’re trying to help you.” Melisa says.

Elvin didn’t want to answer, his still scared to tell me.

The three of them noticed you feel scared, Melisa Walk closer to you, hold his hands and speak.

“Elvin, it’s okey to be scared. Don’t force yourself, we just worried about you.” She says while still holding his hands.

Rein and Gepard agree what Melisa say

Elvin feels calm a little and he speak

“Okey then, thanks for understanding my feeling. I’m appreciated.” He speak

They smile and go home

When I got home, I took a shower and sat on the bed and wrote in my diary about my everyday life.  I write:

“Dear Diary,

Today is a great day for me, I finally made new friends as well as meet my old friend, Rein. I really want our friendship to continue to grow. This is my chance to move on my childhood trauma to a better life.”

AT SCHOOL, Elvin is studying in his classroom. The classroom is empty, and all the students are going outside and playing. Only he was alone in the classroom. After done studying, he goes out of the classroom and sees Melisa waiting for him in front of the classroom door.

“Elvin, what are you doing in the classroom by yourself?” She speaks.

“Oh, I was studying about history.” I speak.

Suddenly, Rein approaching to both

“Elvin, are you studying alone again?” He speaks.

I nod and Rein feel worried about me

“Elvin, you must learn to hang out with other people. You can’t just be like this, always alone. I feel worried about your condition.” He says with a worried face.

Melisa agrees what Rein say

“Rein was right, you can’t just be alone forever.” She says with a worried face.

Elvin silent for a moment and speak

“I know, it’s just I’m just afraid, that’s all.” I say with moody face.

Rein and Melisa try their best to comfort me. But My feeling is not affected by their words. I don’t know why. I hope that their words can affect my feelings.

Gepard approached them with his friends. He looks at me with a worried face.

“Hey Elvin, What’s matter? You look moody.” He says still worry on his face.

“Nothing, I’m fine.” I try to smile.

Gepard noticed this and started to speak.

“Elvin, no need to hide your feelings. You can tell us what’s wrong, We’re here for you.” He says as he tries to comfort him.

After a few minutes, I let my feelings out. I cry because of the pain, the suffering, the torture that l has been through. Gepard hugged me, he knows that I need it. Rein, Melisa, and Gepard friends also helped me to feel more comfortable. After a few hours, I started to calm down. I thank them for helping me calm myself. They are happy to help me. Until l realized……

“Oh, I just realized…” I speak.

I point my finger to Gepard friends

“Is that your friends?” I ask.

Gepard look to his friends and look back at me and he speak

“Yes, He’s, my friend. Elvin, meet Adrian.” He speaks.

Adrian nods his head

“Nice to meet you, Adrian. My Name’s Elvin.” I introduce to him.

We started walking back to class. But we see a group of students standing infront of wall magazine.

“What’s going on over there?” I ask.

“I’ll go see what’s it. You guys can go to your classroom. I will catch up.” Melisa says and starts walking to a bunch of students.

We nod and go to our classroom. After a fews minute, Melisa enters the classroom.

“I look at the wall magazine, it’s look like there’s a music contest.” She speaks.

They’re very interesting

“Do you guys want to take part of the contest?” She asked us.

“Sure, I want to take part of the music contest.” Gepard says.

Rein and Adrian agree with Gepard

“Do you want to take part of the contest, Elvin?” Melisa asks me.

“I…… Uh…… well……” I can’t speak properly.

They’re look at me

“Elvin? Are you alright? Is Something wrong?” Melisa says with a worried face.

“I’m have stage fright” I say, and I feel anxiety.

They were shocked because I have never said that before.

“Elvin, if you don’t want to take part in the contest, then it’s okey. We didn’t force you.” Rein speaks with a calming voice.

It’s been so long since Elvin had stage fright, he never conquers his fear. Until today, he wants to face his fears.

“I…… want to be a part of the contest.” I say, but still feel anxiety.

His friends are still not sure about me going to be a part of the contest. They are afraid something bad will happen.

“Elvin, are you sure about this?” Rein asks.

“We kind of worry about you. We don’t want anything bad happen to you.” Gepard says with a worried face.

Elvin knows he feels anxiety. But he wants to face his fears

“I’m sure I’ll be fine. Trust me!” I speak.

They are still not sure about his answer. Gepard, Melisa, and Adrian still worry about him. But Rein thinks for a moment. After a few minutes, Rein thinks it’s time for Elvin to face his fears.

“Okey, I trust you.” Rein says.

Gepard, Melisa, and Adrian were shocked by what Rein said.

“Rein, are you sure about this?” Gepard says.

“Elvin needs to face his fears, he has stage fright for a very long time. It’s time for him to conquer his fears.” Rein says.

After few minutes, they trust Rein decision

“Okey then, Elvin will be a part of the contest.” Gepard says.

Finally, Elvin joins the contest. They practice almost a few weeks until the contest has arrived. All the students who join the contest are ready to show their talents. After a few minutes, the music contest began. All the students try their best until it’s Elvin turn.

He walks to the middle of the stage. He was about to sing but he felt anxious. He starts shaking. Everyone was looking at him and felt worried. After a few hours, he calls himself and starts to sing. Everyone is shocked when they see him sing. His voice is amazing, everyone becomes speechless and listens to him sing. Melisa, Gepard, and Adrian are shocked to hear my voice. They never heard Elvin sing before but, they’re happy he faces his fears. Rein smiled to see Elvin finally conquer his fears.

After Elvin finished singing, everyone clapped their hands. Elvin finally faces his fears, and he smiles. When he was about to leave the stage, His friends enter the stage.

“We’re gonna perform you guys a song that we wrote.” Gepard says.

Elvin looks confused for a moment and realizes.

*He gets flashback*

Before the contest, Gepard, Rein, Melisa, Adrian, and Elvin are in the classroom. They practice their music skills after school is over. We ask the teacher for permission to practice their skills inside the school. The teacher gave us permission.

Melisa, Gepard, and Adrian start practice. Gepard practices his guitar, Adrian practices his piano, and Melisa starts singing as the instruments play. Elvin feels anxious about doing this, but he still wants to perform. He tries to sing but he can’t. He is afraid that everyone will say his voice is bad. They notice Elvin has difficulty singing.

“Elvin, are you alright?” Melisa says.

“Is something wrong?” Gepard says.

“I’m…… alright.” I speak.

They didn’t believe what Elvin said. He is shaking.

“Elvin, what’s wrong?” Rein says.

“You can tell us, we are here.” Melisa says.

Elvin was still anxious and started to speak.

“I’m scared I make mistake.” I speak.

“Don’t be scared to make mistake, you can fix your mistake by learning.” Melisa says as she tries to help you.

“I know but, still……” I didn’t finish my sentence.

Gepard approach to him and hug him

“It’s going to be alright; I know it.” Gepard says while still hugging him.

Elvin hugged him back; He felt more comfortable and released from the hug.

“Thank for the hug.” I speak.

Gepard nod his head

Suddenly Gepard gave something to him, it’s a music note that Melisa, Adrian, Rein, and himself wrote it.

“If you conquer your fears, we want you to sing it.” He says and smiles.

Elvin nod and they continue practice

*End of flashback*

Elvin back to reality, look at them and nod his head

They smile and they start playing a song that they wrote. The music is beautiful, and everyone starts to follow the beats.

After a few hours, they’re finish playing. Everyone is cheering for them. Elvin feels happy that he conquers his fear, they are happy to see him happy. After that, they bow and leave the stage. They are feeling relief to leave the stage.

“Finally, we’re done.” Gepard says.

“Today was a very exciting and tiring day” Melisa says.

“I agree with you, Melisa.” I speak.

Rein looks at me, he looks happy

“Elvin, I’m glad you have faced your fears. I’m so proud of you.” Rein says.

Rein pat me on my shoulder, he proud of me. I thank him for always being by my side, and so as my friends. After that, the music contest is over. Everyone starts leaving their seat and walks away.

The next day, Elvin is at home, and he studies in the living room. After a few minutes, someone knocked on the door. Elvin goes to the front door and opens the door. He saw a man with dark purple hair with red eyes. Elvin looks at him and realizes he has a lot of wounds, and he is hurt. Elvin let the man go inside his house and sit on the couch. The man sitting on the couch while Elvin grabs some medicine for his wounds.

After a few hours, Elvin is back with some medicine for him. He cleaned his wounds and treated them. The man felt a little pain while being treated. Even though he is hurt, he feels relief that Elvin helps him. After the wound has been treated, Elvin bandages the wounds. The man appreciates Elvin’s help, and he smile.

“Thank for helping me.” The man says.

“No problem, sir.” I speak.

“By the way, what’s your name, sir?” I asked with a curious face.

“My name’s Zhask.” He speaks.

“Nice to meet you Zhask. My name’s Elvin.” I say with a smile on my face.

Zhask nod his head

“Zhask, can l ask you something?” I ask.

“Of course,” Zhask says.

“What happened to you? Why are there so many wounds?” I say with a worried face.

Zhask quiet for a moment and speak

“*sigh* I got into fight with bad guys.”

Elvin feels sad to see he got hurt. But he glad that Zhask is okey

“I’m just glad you okey.” I say and smile.

Zhask feel happy

“Yeah, I’m so glad you help me. I appreciate it.” He speaks.

“Yeah” I say.

After that, Me and Zhask are friends. He always comforts me because l was alone in my house. On Sunday, my friends visited my house and saw Zhask sleeping in the living room. They were shocked and they didn’t want to make Zhask wake up from his sleep. They’re trying to find me. After a few minutes, I came out of the bathroom. I saw my friends waiting for me.

“Hey Guys! How are you doing?” I ask.

“We’re doing great, thanks for asking.” Melisa says.

“Elvin, who is sleeping on the couch!?” Gepard says.

“Oh, that’s Zhask. He’s, my friends.” I speak.

“Since when have you been friends with him!?” Rein asks.

Elvin explains everything to them how he been friends with him

“So…… you’re saying that Zhask come to your house because he is hurt, and you help him and become friends?” Adrian says clearly.

Elvin nods his head

“Well…… that’s unexpected.” Melisa says.

They become speechless and Zhask wake up from his sleep

“Mmfm…… Elvin?” Zhask said while his eyes were still half open.

“Zhask, your awake!” I speak.

Zhask now waking up, he is sitting the couch

“*yawn* Yeah… “Zhask say.

Zhask see Elvin’s friends

“Elvin, who’s this people?” He speaks.

“Zhask, meet my friends. Melisa, Gepard, Adrian, and Rein.” I speak.

They are nod his head

“Nice to meet you all.” Zhask say.

“Zhask, where are you live?” Gepard says.

Zhask quite for a while

“You…… don’t have a home?” Melisa says, feel worried.

Zhask was still silent and for a few moments he nor his head. Elvin and his friends are shocked. They can’t believe Zhask doesn’t have a home, no wonder his body fills with wounds. They have many questions to ask him. But they don’t want to make him more stressed. So, they give him some help and comfort him.

After few hours, He calm down

“Feel better now?” Melisa asks.

“*Sigh* Yeah” Zhask says.

“That’s good.” Adrian says.

“Sorry for what l say.” Gepard said and apologized to him.

“It’s alright, Gepard. I forgive you.” Zhask say.

After that, Elvin has an idea.

“Zhask, do you want to live in my house?” I speak.

Everyone is shocked, especially him

“Elvin, are you sure about this? I mean… I don’t want to make you uncomfortable if I stay with you.” Zhask asked.

Zhask didn’t sure about himself living in Elvin’s house

“I’m sure about it. Besides, I don’t want to see you hurt.” I say with honest.

Zhask think for a moment and nod his head

“Great! Now, come on. I’ll lead you to your room.” I said and reached out my hand to him.

Zhask reached out his hand to me and I led him to his room. He looks happy to have a friend and a place to live. Elvin feels glad that Zhask accepted his offer. After a few whiles, Elvin and Zhask arrived in his room.

“Zhask, this is your room from now on, feel free to ask if you need something.” I speak.

“Thank you so much, I’m finally have a room.” He says as feel happy.

“No problem Zhask.” I say with calm tone.

After that, Elvin and Zhask live together. Zhask felt Elvin like his brother, Elvin always takes care of him even with his friends who always support him. Zhask feels happy to have someone who cares about him, he feels grateful from them.

After a few days, Zhask became overprotective of me. Whenever I go, he always stays by my side as he is afraid that I will get hurt. I feel secure and safe with him, but I feel he’s too much.

“Zhask, I appreciate your concern, but do you think is it too much?” I speak.

“Of course not, why would you say that?” He speaks.

“*Sigh* I’m just… worried about you having do this every day. Can you at least turn in down a little bit?” I say and cross my arms.

“*Sigh* I’m just want the best for you. Who know what happen if you hurt and no one is there for you?” He says as he still didn’t accept my words.”

“Zhask, please just… listen to me. You must worry about yourself. I don’t want to see you worrying about me this much.” I said as I pleased him to accept my words.

After few minutes of silence, he sighs and speak

“Alright… I accept your words. But please take care of yourself, okay?” He says with a worried tone.

I nodded as promised to take care of myself. He smiles and we continue our days. Ater that day, he controls his overprotective attitude, and I feel happy that he takes care himself more. At school, everything still normal as usual, but after school… Zhask is waiting for me.

“Zhask! You’re waiting for me.” I speak.

“I can’t let anything bad happen to my brother.” He says and smiles.

“You never get tried call me that?” I ask.

He shakes his head

“I won’t get tired call you, my brother.” He speaks.

We continued to talk for few minutes before Rein and Gepard.

“Zhask! Why are you here?!” Gepard asks.

“Are you waiting for him?” Rein asks.

“Indeed friends, I come to pick him up.” Zhask answer their questions.

“*chuckle* worry something bad happen to him…” Rein says.

“You’re protective brother.” Gepard speaks.

Zhask smiled and hugged me tightly. They chuckle as watching us hug each other.

“Where’s Melisa? I haven’t seen her yet.” I ask.

“She will come up soon. She must be busy with her club.” Gepard speaks.

“Zhask, could you wait for her with us?” I ask.

Zhask nodded and we waited for her to be done with her business. We waited for about 30 minutes and Melisa came out of the school.

“Are you done with your business, little sis?” Gepard asks.

“Yeah, I’m done with my business. We were planning to do Music & Art Festival at the end of semester.” She speaks.

“That’s nice, Melisa.” I speak.

“Thank you, Elvin. Our clubs are excited and prepare for our festival.” She speaks.

Suddenly, I got messages from Adrian on my phone

“Adrian message me and he says want me to try sing his song.” I speak.

“Oh right! I forgot to tell you that.” Melisa says and facepalm.

“Sure, I would love to sing your song. Just tell me when you have free time.” I type.

Few minutes later, he replies to my message

“Great, meet me at music class at 2 PM tomorrow.” He types.

“Alright then, see you tomorrow.” I reply.

I told them about our conversation, and they nodded as we went home for a day. A few minutes later, I wave goodbye to them as me and Zhask went inside. I notice our home is clean and tidy as well and he smiles at me.

“Did you clean the house while I’m at school?” I ask.

He nods and smile

I smile back at him as gratitude to him for cleaning our home. I cook dinner for him as repay for his work, he smiles, and we eat dinner together. Even though we didn’t talk while eating dinner, the situation felt warm and comfortable.

The next day, I waved goodbye to Zhask and went to school. I usually walk to school, but this time I used a bus to get there. I wait for a few minutes while watching the sky full of clouds, some birds flying around, and wind blow gently. I noticed another student who was also waiting for a bus.

“Are you waiting for a bus as well, Sir?” He asks.

“Yeah, I wait for a bus.” I speak.

“I never see you wait in bus stop; is this first time you used a bus?” he asks.

I nod and speak

“My name is Elvin, and you?” I say as I introduce myself.

“My name is Novi, but you call me by my nickname Nov. Nice to meet you” he says.

“Nice to meet you too.” I say and smile.

A few minutes later, the bus arrived, and we went inside. After we take a seat, we talk along the way. A few minutes later, we arrived at the school. We thanked the bus driver, and we went to class.

A few hours later, it’s PE class. All the students wearing swimsuits, I’m sitting at the edge of the pool while I watch them playing in the water. After few moments, notice a male student looking at me, I’m feel shocked and shy. After a few minutes of silents, he speaks.

“Why are you sitting here? Don’t you want to get in?” He asks.

“I’m just waiting for the coach. He hasn’t here yet.” I speak.

“Coach may be late come here; do you want to join with me?” He asks.

“Sure, what’s your name?” I ask.

“My name is Lee Seok Joon, nice to meet you.” He speaks.

“Nice to meet you too. My name is Elvin.” I speak.

“What a cute name you got.” He says and smirks at me.

I blush red and look away from him

“I’m not cute.” I speak.

“Yes, you are.” He speaks.

“Shut up!” I speak.

“Hehe… adorable.” He says while giggle.

A few moments later, I swam alongside him. I notice he’s a good swimmer as his movement is effective. After an hour, we done swim for today. We take a rinse at men’s bathroom and dry up using our towels.

“That was nice swim practice, thank you for keep me accompany.” I speak.

“It was no problem.” He speaks.

“What’s your next class?” I ask.

“I have science class next.” He speaks.

“We’re same class.” I say and smile.

“Nice! I have someone to keep accompany.” He speaks.

I smile and continue our conversation on the way to class. A few minutes later, we went to our seats and realized Gepard was also in the same class. I wave my hand to get his attention. Gepard realized it and went to us…

“Hey Elvin, how was your class?” He asks.

“It was good and meet my new friends from PE class, Lee Seok Joon.” I say as well introduce to him.

“Nice to meet you, Lee Seok Joon.” He speaks.

“Nice to meet you too, Gepard.” He speaks.

They’re stand up and shake hands

The three of us talk until school ends. I met Zhask as usual, pick me up. I will introduce Lee Seok Joon to him. At first, he acts suspicious to him… but he calms down as he didn’t harm me. We got closer and closer until we became BFF. Everything is going well while we hang out together.

One day, Melisa asks me for something

“Hey Elvin, could you give this theme for Kai? I have some business on my club.” She asks.

“Sure, I could help you.” I speak.

“Thank you so much. I really appreciate it.” She speaks.

I went to the art club and knocked on the door. After a few minutes, the door opened and saw one of the students.

“Excuse me, is Kai here? Melisa wants me to give this theme to him.”

“Yeah, Kai is here. Let me call him.” Leader club speak.

“Thank you, I appreciate it.” I speak.

Few minutes later

“Are you call me?” Kai asks.

“Yes, are you a student name Kai?” I ask.

“Yes, My name’s Kai.” He speaks.

“Here the theme from Melisa. She doesn’t have time to give it to you by herself.” I speak.

“I understand and you’re Elvin? From music club?” He asks.

“Yeah, that’s me. How did you know?” I speak as well ask him.

“Loo Seok Joon tell me. He’s my old friends.” He speaks.

“I didn’t know he have a friend who is from art club.” I say surprise for not knowing this.

“Look like he forgot to tell you.” He says chuckle.

“Look like it.” I speak.

“What kind of art you paint, Kai?” I ask.

“I paint impressionism type.” He speak.

“I never heard before; I only know realism painting.” I speak.

“You will know more if you talk often with me.” He speak.

“How long do you learn to paint?” I ask curiously.

“I have been painting since I was 10.” He speak.

“That’s nice.” I say and smile.

“I have to go back painting, tell Melisa thank you from me.” He speak.

“Okay then.” I speak.

On the way to classroom, I notice Nov looking at his schedule

“Hey Nov, what’s your next class?” I ask.

“I got math class next, how about you?” He says and asks me.

“I have PE class.” I speak.

“It’s okay, we can talk when lunch time.” He speaks.

“Okay then, see you at lunch.” I say and wave goodbye.

After that, I went to the locker to change clothes. I notice Lee Seok Joon also here changing clothes. I smiled and went to the swimming pool, waiting for him as well as the coach.

“Are you waiting for me, Elvin?” He asks from behind me.

“Yeah, as well the coach.” I speak.

“Want to take a swim for a bit while waiting?” He asks.

I nod to him as a yes, he smirks, and we jump into the pool. We swam for a bit while waiting for the coach and other students. After a few 30 minutes, the coach and students arrived. The coach notices we are already in the pool, waiting for them.

“You two come early…” The coach says.

“Yeah, we come here early.” I speak.

“That’s good.” The coach says.

An hour later, students are leaving the pool area

“Lee Seok Joon, can I ask you something?” I ask.

“Sure, what’s it?” He asks.

“Do you think we can do this often? I like to spend time with you.” I ask.

He chuckles and smirks

“Sure, I would love to…” He speaks.

“Thank you, Lee Seok Joon.” I speak.

He hugs me tightly for few moments

“You’re cute.” He teases me.

“Stop it!” I speak.

“Make me.” He dares me.

I kiss him to shut him up. He shocks at first for a few minutes and he kisses me back passionately. After a few minutes, I broke from the kiss. We pant heavily and look at each other.

“That’s… was amazing.” He speaks.

“You… have feelings for me?” I ask.

He caresses my cheek while smiling to me

“Yes, I do…” He speaks.

I blush red and feel butterfly on my stomach, he still smiling and kiss me again. I caught off guard but, it felt good. We kiss for moments longer as we focus on our passion kiss, leaving other thoughts aside. A few minutes later, we broke the kiss.

“We should head home now. It’s getting late.” I speak.

“Yeah, we should head home.” He speaks.

We took a shower, changed clothes, grabbed our backpack and went home. After a few minutes later, I arrived home. I say thank to him and enter the house. Zhask was waiting for me and asked me why you home late. I hesitate to tell him about our activity but, I must tell him. I explained to him about what happened, and he was shocked and speechless.

“You kiss him because he has feelings for you?!” He asks.

“Yeah…” I speak quietly almost like a whisper.

After few minutes of silence

“You must tell this to them, you know? Don’t hide it from them.” He speaks.

I nodded and messaged my friends about what happened. They’re also shocked and speechless just like Zhask. They ask the same question, and I repeat again. After a few minutes, they accepted it and supported my decision.

“Spill the tea here and don’t let us hang here.” Melisa messaged me in our group chat.

“I won’t let you guys hanging.” I reply.

“You better keep your words.” Melisa replied.

“Take care, Elvin.” Gepard and Rein replied.

“You too guys.” I reply.

I put my phone on my desk and went to sleep. I smile because have a friends like them who always supported me… I’m glad we’re become friends. Our friendship bond is growing strong.

The next day, I was working on my homework while humming to music. After about 5 minutes, Rein walked toward me and asked me if he wanted me to join them for lunch. I think for a moment and nod. At the canteen, they were already waiting for us.

“You guys are here!” Melisa with a smile.

“Good afternoon, guys.” I say and wave at them.

“Oh! Elvin, Lee Seok Joon tell me to info you about meet up with him at swimming pool.” Gepard says.

“Oh yeah! Thank for the information, Gepard.” I speak.

“No problem, Elvin.” Gepard said and smiled.

“Is there anything interesting?” I ask.

“Well, I heard Lee Seok Joon have swimming competition next week.” Adrian says.

“Really?” I ask.

“Yeah, he wants someone to keep him accompany while practice and it’s you.” Adrian says.

“I guess you’re right.” I speak.

An hour later, we went to class to continue our study, I was kind of worried for Lee Seok Joon for participating in swimming competition. I know he’s good swimmer but, still… I kind of worry for something bad will happen. Rein noticed my expression and told me that he would be fine.

After an hour and half, I went to the swimming pool to meet him. He is swimming lap while I wait for him on the edge of the pool. His movement are smoothly and effectively… and it’s made me amaze and proud of his hard work. I watch him for a while and hear whispers of negative thought.

You’re useless, I wish you not exist, I’m disappointed with you, I wish you die already…

It’s happening again… the pain from my parents and my fake friends… it’s coming back. Lee Seok Joon done practicing and notice my expression seem to be… struggle with something on my mind. He pulled himself from the pool and walked toward me and I didn’t notice become of the struggle is too much.

He taps on my shoulder, and I was shocking a little bit

“Hey, are you okay?” he asks with a worried face.

I hesitate to answer the question because I’m still shake up by the pain

“Hey, it’s okay. Take a deep breath.” He speaks.

I take a few deep breaths as slowly calm down

“I’m feel better now, thank you.” I speak and smile.

“That’s good…” he speaks.

“Sorry for my attitude. It’s just…” I cut off myself.

“It’s okay, I understand.” He says as if he understands how I feel.

“Thank you for understanding.” I speak.

“No problem.” He says and smile

“So, Gepard and Adrian say that you going to compete in swimming competition.” I speak.

He nods

“I’m kind of worry about you participating in the competition.” I tell the truth.

“There’s nothing to worry about… I’ll be fine.” He speaks.

I’m still worry about him even though he says he will be fine but still… I’m worrying about him. He notices that I’m still need some time to accept his words as he sighs.

“I promise to take care of myself. Don’t worry about me too much.” He says as try to convince me to accept it.

“*sigh* Okay…” I speak.

I hug him tightly

“Please take care yourself.” I speak.

“I will.” He says and hugs me back.

After school, I’m in my bedroom with Zhask. I was writing my journal about today while Zhask was watching TV. I write:

“Dear Diary,

I was still worried about Lee Seok Joon participating in the swimming competition. I’m acting overprotective of him. I wish he do well.”

Zhask noticed my worry about Lee Seok Joon, and he walked toward me. He says that he will be fine as he put his arm around my shoulder. I feel comfort from him and lean on him and thanks for him.
