Episode 1
Teacher Introduce a new kid from whole class, but everyone started to whispering
Student
*whispering* Why is he here?
Student
A new kid in our class?
Student
*scoffs* He doesn’t belong here.
Student
Just ignore him guy's, he is not welcome here
Lawrence keeps his head down, pretending not to hear the whispers.
His uniform feels stiff and unfamiliar, a constant reminder that he doesn’t fit in.
The teacher doesn’t say anything, and the day drags on in silence.
Dominic Paris (Kid)
hmm.. *noticed*
Lawrence sits alone at the farthest table, carefully unwrapping his homemade sandwich.
He keeps his gaze down, knowing that if he looks up, all he’ll see are the stares and whispers of his classmates.
Then, a shadow falls over his table. Someone sets a tray down beside him.
Dominic Paris (Kid)
*Grinning* Mind if I sit here?
Lawrence looks up in surprise. Dominic Hayes, the most popular kid in school. The one everyone wants to be friends with.
Lawrence (Kid)
*hesitant* …You can sit anywhere.
Dominic Paris (Kid)
I know.
Dominic Paris (Kid)
But I wanna sit here, next to you
Lawrence blinks. Of all the people in the cafeteria
Dominic Paris (Kid)
Hmm.. So, you're the new kid here, right?
Lawrence (Kid)
*nods slightly* yeah.
Dominic Paris (Kid)
Cool, i’m Dominic. You probably already know that, though.
Lawrence gives a small nod but doesn’t say anything. Dominic doesn’t seem bothered.
He just takes a bite of his food and leans back like they’ve been friends for years.
Dominic Paris (Kid)
I wanna ask
Dominic Paris (Kid)
Wanna be friends? *smile slightly*
Lawrence freezes. He was ready for insults, teasing, or being ignored.
"But this? He wasn’t prepared for this."
Lawrence (Kid)
*slowly* why..?
Dominic Paris (Kid)
Why not?
Dominic flashes him a grin, and for the first time that day, Lawrence feels like maybe, just maybe he’s not completely alone.
"Why is he so friendly than everybody else.. "
Episode 2
Lawrence hesitates, glancing around.
A few students was completely shocked, clearly surprised because Dominic was talking politely from him
Lawrence (Kid)
*lowers his voice* you want to be my friends.?
Dominic Paris (Kid)
*laughs slightly* yeah. You seem cool
Lawrence isn’t sure what’s more shocking
"That Dominic is talking to him or that he actually sounds sincere."
Lawrence (Kid)
But... everyone else-
Dominic Paris (Kid)
*shrugs* who cares about them?
Dominic Paris (Kid)
I do what I wanted
Dominic Paris (Kid)
and they seem to be rude to you
Lawrence grips his sandwich a little tighter, unsure what to say.
No one has ever just… wanted to be his friend before.
Dominic Paris (Kid)
So, what do you do for fun? Video games or basketball?
Lawrence (Kid)
*murmurs* I love to draw
Dominic Paris (Kid)
*grins* Oh, really? are you any good?
Lawrence (Kid)
*shrugs* I guess
Dominic Paris (Kid)
Than, you should show me sometimes
Lawrence blinks. Is Dominic serious?
"No one has ever cared about his drawings before."
Dominic nudges his shoulder playfully.
Dominic Paris (Kid)
That's a yes *smile*
For the first time, Lawrence feels a small smile tug at his lips.
Maybe this school won’t be so bad after all.
Episode 3
The school bell rings, signaling the end of the day. Students rush out, chatting and laughing with their friends. Lawrence walks alone, adjusting the strap of his backpack, trying to ignore the stares from others.
Just as he steps outside the school gates, he heard his name
Dominic Paris (Kid)
*grinning* Lawrence!
Lawrence turns, surprised to see Dominic jogging toward him. He expected Dominic to forget about him after lunch, but here he is… again.
Lawrence (Kid)
*awkwardly* uh... hey
Dominic Paris (Kid)
*nudges his shoulder* you going home?
Lawrence (Kid)
*nods* yeah
Dominic Paris (Kid)
*Smile* Okay, let's walk together!
Lawrence hesitates. He’s not used to this, having someone want to walk with him, talk to him.
But before he can protest, Dominic is already walking beside him like it’s the most natural thing in the world.
Lawrence (Kid)
*softly* but you don't have too..
Dominic Paris (Kid)
*shrugs* I know, but I wanted to walk together since my father will probably late again
They walk in silence for a few moments. It’s not uncomfortable, just… new. Lawrence isn’t sure what to say.
Dominic, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to have that problem.
Dominic Paris (Kid)
So, where do you live?
Lawrence (Kid)
*glancing down the street* just a few blocks away from here
Dominic Paris (Kid)
Oh okay, mine is also few blocks away from here
Lawrence (Kid)
*Doubtful* I don't think so..
Dominic Paris (Kid)
*grinning* we'll see
They keep walking, passing through quieter streets. For the first time in a long time, Lawrence doesn’t feel completely alone.
Dominic Paris (Kid)
*casually* hmm.., do you walk by yourself everyday?
Lawrence (Kid)
*nods slightly* yeah
Dominic Paris (Kid)
*smile* but not anymore!
Lawrence looks up at Dominic, who is still grinning like this is the most obvious thing in the world.
He doesn’t say anything, but for the first time since he transferred… he doesn’t mind walking home.
"We'll be together for a while"
