Fates Melody(Taekook)
Chapter 1: Before the spotlight
Years before they stood on stage as idols, they were just trainees, lost in the overwhelming world of the entertainment industry. Some had dreams of fame, others had ambitions beyond the spotlight, but none of them could have predicted how deeply their fates would intertwine.
Five years ago- The Trainee Days
Inside a dimly lit practice room at Eclipse Entertainment, a younger Kim Taehyung (Tae) sat against the mirrored wall, catching his breath after an intense vocal session. His body ached, but he grinned as he nudged Park Jimin beside him.
Taehyung
If we keep this up, we’ll be legends someday.
Jimin laughed, leaning his head back against the mirror.
Jimin
I just want to debut already. We’ve been at this for years.
Across from them, Min Yoongi(Suga), their brooding yet sharp-tongued senior trainee, tuned his guitar absentmindedly.
Suga
You two sound like you’re starring in some underdog drama.
He muttered, but there was a ghost of a smile on his lips.
Suga
Keep working, and maybe you’ll actually make it.
The door swung open, and Jung Hoseok (Hobi), their energetic leader-in-training, popped his head in.
J-hope
Alright, slackers, enough sitting around. Dance practice in five minutes!
Meanwhile, at Stratos Entertainment, a different kind of competition raged on.
Jeon Jungkook, the prodigy trainee, stood in the center of a packed training room, perfecting his footwork with laser focus. Every move was crisp, calculated. His drive to be the best set him apart, but it also made him distant.
Kim Namjoon
You’re going to burn yourself out, kook
came a deep voice from behind him. Kim Namjoon (Joon), his mentor and fellow trainee, watched him with concern.
Kim Namjoon
You’re already ahead of most of us.
Jungkook shook his head, breathing heavily.
A chuckle broke through the tension as Kim Seokjin (Jin) walked over, tossing an arm around Namjoon’s shoulders.
Jin
Let him be. He’s young. Full of energy. Give him a few years, and he’ll be just as exhausted as the rest of us
Jungkook rolled his eyes but didn’t argue. Across the room, Jackson Wang snickered.
Jackson
You guys act like you’re in a survival show. Chill out
The competition was tough, but their bonds were growing stronger by the day. None of them knew just how much they would need each other in the years to come.
Present Day – The Rumors Begin
The streets of Seoul were alive with neon lights and the distant hum of traffic. Inside one of the many high-rise buildings that housed Korea’s biggest entertainment companies, two groups stood on the brink of change, unaware of the collision fate had in store for them.
Eclipse Entertainment’s dance studio was alive with the sound of music as Eclipse members rehearsed late into the night. Taehyung, now a fully-fledged idol, stood in front of the mirror, sweat glistening on his skin as he ran through the same routine for what felt like the hundredth time.
Again came the firm voice of Hobi, Eclipse's leader, hands on his hips.
J-hope
We need it to be flawless.
Taehyung exhaled sharply but nodded, stepping back into position beside Suga, their lead rapper and producer, who was stretching lazily. Jimin, their lead vocalist and main dancer, clapped Taehyung’s shoulder.
Park Jimin
Come on, Tae, let’s get it right this time.
Across the city, inside Stratos Entertainment, a similar scene played out. Stratos, another powerhouse in the industry, was in the middle of their own grueling practice session. Kook, the group’s golden performer, moved with precision, his expression unreadable as the music pulsed through the studio.
Kim Namjoon
Don’t push yourself too hard, kook.
Joon, Stratos’s leader, warned, watching as Jungkook landed a sharp move and then immediately reset for another go.
Jungkook said shortly. His intense drive for perfection had always set him apart, but tonight, something felt different—something restless.
Jin, their seasoned vocalist, exchanged a glance with Jackson, Stratos’s charismatic rapper, who shrugged.
Kim Seokjin
Let him work it out.
Meanwhile, at a nearby café, industry insiders were already whispering about what was coming next. Lisa, a solo artist and one of the industry’s biggest stars, leaned across the table toward Cha Eunwoo, a well-known idol-turned-actor.
Lisa
Have you heard the rumors?
she asked, sipping her iced coffee.
Lisa
A huge collaboration is in the works. Two of the biggest groups in the industry—Eclipse and Stratos.
Eunwoo leaned back, intrigued.
Cha Eun-woo
That’s… unexpected.
Lisa
Lisa nodded. “More like explosive.”
Back at their respective studios, neither Tae nor Kook had any idea what was coming. They were too focused on their own battles—until fate decided to throw them into each other’s orbit once more.
This was only the beginning.

Chapter 2: The unexpected Accouncement
A week had passed since rumors of a major collaboration started circulating within the industry, and neither Eclipse nor Stratos had been given any official confirmation. However, the tension in the air was undeniable.
Eclipse Entertainment – Group Meeting Room
The members of Eclipse sat around the long conference table, exhaustion evident on their faces. They had spent the last few nights in back-to-back rehearsals, yet here they were, called into an urgent meeting with their management.
Hoseok (Hobi), their leader, tapped his fingers impatiently against the table.
J-hope
Any idea what this is about?
he asked, glancing at the others.
Suga sighed, stretching his arms over his head.
Min Yoongi
If it’s another last-minute schedule change, I might actually quit this time.
Park Jimin
Jimin smirked. "You say that every time, hyung."
Taehyung was staring at his phone, scrolling through fan forums.
Kim Taehyung
People think we’re collaborating with Stratos. Crazy, right?
Just then, the door swung open, and their manager walked in with a clipboard in hand.
Manager(Eclipse)
Good, you’re all here. We have something big to discuss.
Hoseok exchanged looks with Taehyung and Jimin before turning his full attention to their manager.
Manager(Eclipse)
Eclipse, you’ll be working on a collaboration project
Manager(Eclipse)
And yes, it’s with Stratos.
The room fell silent for a moment.
Yoongi let out a low whistle.
Park Jimin
What kind of collaboration? A stage performance? A single?
Their manager smiled, adjusting his glasses.
Manager(Eclipse)
Not just a single. An entire album. A full promotional cycle.
Their manager shook his head.
Manager(Eclipse)
This is going to be the biggest cross-company project in years. It’s already set in motion, and you’re all expected to be on board.
Taehyung finally looked up from his phone.
Kim Taehyung
And what if we refuse?
Manager(Eclipse)
That’s not really an option, Taehyung.
Stratos Entertainment – Practice Room
Meanwhile, Stratos had received the same shocking news.
Jungkook stood near the mirror, arms crossed as he listened to the announcement. His jaw tightened slightly, but he didn’t say anything.
Namjoon, their leader, adjusted his cap.
Kim Namjoon
An entire album? That’s not just a collaboration—that’s practically merging the two groups.
Jin leaned back against the wall, rubbing his temples.
Kim Seokjin
I mean, I get why they’d do this. We’re the two biggest groups right now. But the fan reactions…
Jackson exhaled dramatically.
Jackson Wang
We’ll either make history or start a war.
Jungkook’s gaze darkened. Of all the groups, why Eclipse? Why Taehyung?
Namjoon seemed to notice his unease and placed a hand on his shoulder.
Kim Namjoon
We’ve worked with tons of artists before. This is just another project
Jungkook nodded absentmindedly, but deep down, he knew it wasn’t just another project.
Industry Buzz – The Internet Erupts
The moment the collaboration was confirmed, the news broke across every major social media platform. Fans flooded Twitter, TikTok, and forums with mixed reactions.
#EclipseXStratos trended worldwide.
Fan 1
Are we actually getting Eclipse and Stratos in one album?? Insane!!
Fan 2
Wait, does this mean more Taehyung and Jungkook interactions?? 👀
Hyunwoo
I love both groups, but this is too much. Fanwars incoming
Fan 3
THE KINGS OF K-POP UNITE!!
Fan 2
Jungkook and Taehyung in the same project? My heart can’t handle this.
Fan 5
This is either going to be the best thing that ever happened or the biggest disaster in K-pop history. No in-between.
The world was watching, waiting to see if this collaboration would make history—or become a disaster.
And neither Eclipse nor Stratos were prepared for the emotional storm that was about to hit them all.

Hope you will like the story
The announcement had sent shockwaves through both groups. Fans were divided, the industry was watching, and the members of Eclipse and Stratos were left reeling. But for Taehyung and Jungkook, it was something more—something deeper, buried beneath years of history neither wanted to acknowledge.
Taehyung lay sprawled on the couch, his head resting against the armrest as he absentmindedly scrolled through his phone. Fan reactions ranged from excitement to absolute chaos, but that wasn’t what was bothering him. His fingers hovered over a private chat he hadn’t opened in years. Jeon Jungkook.
Jimin, noticing his silence, sat down beside him, nudging him with his knee.
Taehyung scoffed, locking his phone.
Kim Taehyung
Yeah. Just thinking.
Yoongi, who had been silently sipping his coffee, finally spoke.
Min Yoongi
About the collab? Or about him?
Taehyung tensed but didn’t answer.
Hoseok, leaning against the counter, watched him carefully.
J-hope
You haven’t said Jungkook’s name once since the meeting. Thought you two used to be close?
Taehyung sat up, forcing a smirk.
Kim Taehyung
That was a long time ago, Hobi. Things change.
Jimin exchanged a glance with Yoongi but didn’t push further. They all knew better than to dig too deep into old wounds.
Jungkook was pushing himself harder than usual. Even Jackson, who never took anything too seriously, had started to notice.
Jackson Wang
Kook, chill out
he said, catching his breath after their latest run-through.
Jackson Wang
What’s got you so worked up?
Jungkook wiped sweat from his forehead, shaking his head.
Jeon Jungkook
Nothing. Just want this to be perfect.
Namjoon crossed his arms, watching him carefully.
Kim Namjoon
This isn’t about perfection, is it?
Seokjin sighed, grabbing a water bottle and tossing it to Jungkook.
Kim Seokjin
You gonna tell us why you and Taehyung haven’t talked in years?
Jungkook froze for a split second before catching the bottle. He twisted the cap off aggressively.
Jeon Jungkook
There’s nothing to talk about.
Namjoon didn’t look convinced, but he let it go—for now.
Years ago, before the pressure of the industry, before they became idols, Taehyung and Jungkook had been inseparable.
They met in middle school, drawn together by their shared love for music and their mischievous energy. They spent their days skipping study sessions to sneak into the music room, playing guitar and dreaming about the future. Their bond had been effortless, their laughter unrestrained.
But everything changed when Jungkook’s family moved away suddenly, cutting their friendship short.
They had promised to stay in touch, but time and distance created a rift neither of them knew how to mend. By the time they saw each other again, years had passed, and they were no longer the same boys who once dreamed together in a tiny music room.
The members of Eclipse and Stratos were finally brought together in a sleek, high-rise conference room at a neutral location. Managers sat at the head of the table, but it was the tension between the idols that filled the room.
Taehyung and Jungkook locked eyes for the first time in years.
But the silence said everything.
