Chapter 1.1 : Fear

Lana is unable to breathe in the freezing cold of ice that continues to fall from the shady sky. Her fingers and toes seemed to be swollen because she was wearing only thin clothes. Every step she makes is a great punishment for her. There are days that she doesn't even eat and the people inside the carriage is not even giving them water.

She is not the only one outside the carriage. Many people's hands are tied behind the carriage and straddled them as they walked. Fortunately, the pace of the carriage is slow because if not, she could not keep pace.

All of the girls here, including her, were destined to be sold as slaves to vampires.

"What will happen to us now? We will surely die when we are given to the vampires who will be our masters. They may consume our blood. All of us knows what is happening to those people who become slaves to them. Most of them died in the hands of violent vampires," one of the girls with her said.

Yes, she's right. Some of them were made slaves without the right to refuse any command. Others are oppressed by sadistic vampires until they die. Others are made into sex slaves or otherwise, gradually eating until they lose all of their bloods that can result death.

She already knows what the fate of slaves like them has. She never encountered a good vampire. For them, they're just a mere toy.

She had been a slave several times and she have been treated like an animal. The evidences are some of her bruises and scars that are now visible throughout her body.

The last vampire master that she had, returned her to the Slavery District. An agency that sells people like them to wealthy vampires.

Planet Wayne is a planet where humans and vampires live together. It is governed by three kingdoms. The Wayne Kingdom, Prenyth Empire and Derus Empire. The three kingdoms are connected to the Slavery District. The Slavery District receives the government's support because they are supplying blood to vampires and even selling living people for slavery.

In this planet, vampires are considered to be God and humans are inferior. That's because vampires have different powers that people doesn't have.

In each tribe of people, there are ten people that is being selected and taken annually to dedicate to powerful vampires. Year after year, the slaves who are chosen to serve the vampires is already expected to die or already considered dead. That is the government's unfair policy. People do not have the voice and the right to fight the powerful vampires. So by the time you get selected, your happy days are over. Since you can never be with your family again.

She was one of those unfortunate people. She has experienced humiliation several times. She seems numb through the repeated attacks of vampires. She tried to fight several times but nothing happened. The fate of humans in the hands of vampires is death. Even if your mortal body does not die, your suffering will be the same as death while you are alive. So she had no hope of escape. Maybe she should just be thankful that she's still breathing.

She had not seen her family for three years and she didn't know if they are still alive. Having a communication with your family is not allowed by the Slavery District as well.

Their escape from the world is futile because even if they try to flee, they will be repeatedly found by the government, led by vampires and returned to the Slavery District.

That's the reason why she is here again in the Slavery District. A place where there are full of evil vampires and people are being sell in the market like a pig.

"We're here!" The driver went down in the carriage and removed their hands from the chains. Their hands are so red and bleeding because the chain is too tight and they can't resist.

"Have mercy on us! I don't want to die!" A new girl with them begs for mercy. She's already crying and fear is written all over her face just like what she did when she first entered the Slavery District.

She still remember that time when she asked for mercy on those vampires who do not recognize God but demons.

"Shut up, useless girl!" It was as if the vampire guard had heard nothing. He took a whip and mercilessly beat the woman who had been suffering so much.

"D-don't! A-Ah! P-Please, I'm sorry! It hurts!" The woman shouted while weeping.

The other slaves there were already trembling with fear. The girl is currently being beaten by a vampire's whip. It was so bloody and even if they want to help, they know that they could not do anything. They will be next if they will try to help.

"Monsters! Merciless! You have no soul!" Even with anger, the woman screamed.

The vigilant guard only laughed at them and looked at them. "Poor people like you have nowhere else to go in this world but to be our toys and food. You have no right to defy your God! So, I'll give you a lesson!"

The vampire guard walked towards the woman and they are shocked when he suddenly show his fangs and bit her!

"Ahhhh!" the woman screamed and her body seemed to tremble in agony but the guard covered her mouth so she won't scream louder.

The woman's blood dripped to the floor as if it contracted the disease. The vampire clenched its neck and slowly drained the blood throughout its body causing it to slow down. The still-darkened eyes of the woman gradually lost her lives until the guard dropped her to the ground.

They were all shocked at what they saw and her skin was full of dread. The woman's body was left with only a bone!

"Now you know what is happening to those who disobey the powerful ones like us. So if you want your life to be longer, make sure you give your master the honor," the vampire said. After that, he walked and all of them followed him.

Her hands trembled slowly. She couldn't walk properly anymore. In her three years of servitude in the hands of various vampires, she has never been used to see people killed by them without a trace of conscience. She still had a great fear for the camps of darkness.

This world is cruel. Whatever they do, they can't do something in this situation because they are weak.

Chapter 1.2: The Evil Prince**

They have been brought inside the Slavery District. By just coming in, you can see the oppression that the vampires are doing to their slaves without even getting home.

There is a woman there who is already *****, who had just been exploited by a vampire. There was a slave there as well who is already bitting by her master and seemed to be bought only to gradually consume her blood. There is someone there as well that is being treated like a dog. He is chained and no clothes.

"Is that our fate?" She heard one of her companions whisper to the others while they are walking.

She was quiet because she knew that it was. They can't run away. Death is just waiting for them. She didn't even have the strength to talk to them anymore because she knew their relationship would be short-lived and useless even if they will become friends. Also, she didn't want to get close to anyone especially to slaves like her because if she do that, she will just be lonely if she will learn that they had died at the hands of the vampires who had bought them.

All of the slaves were destined to be sold to different types of vampires who would do the same to them. They are purely evil...

After a few minutes...

"The prince has arrived!" They all raised their heads when they heard that sudden shout from one of the working vampires in the Slavery District.

Since they are newcomers, they are currently in the cellar. They see from a distance that the employees of Slavery District is already getting nervous because of the prince's arrival. Some of them made a way for the prince, while others suddenly stands up firmly. The presence of the incoming prince was just strong.

Prince Wayne is the second son of the current king of Planet Wayne and is also set to inherit his father's crown. Even his name has been inherited from the previous kings. It's already a tradition to Planet Wayne to make the name of the crown prince "Wayne" as a reminder that 'he rules' the world.

She had heard many things about the prince. She knew that he is not different from the bad guys she had served before. She knows that he is in the Slavery District to get a new slave.

From what she heard, he is there almost weekly to get a slave. The normal vampire can only have one human slave for a year. When that term is over, they can only buy another human slave next year but the nobles and royal family were different, they could buy slaves as many times as they want. And Planet Wayne's spoiled brat prince knows that.

She doesn't know the prince personally but she already hate him because he thinks that people like her is just a toy. She heard that he kills his slave when he get tired of them and just getting a new one all the time to be his toy.

"We have many new slaves, Prince Wayne. You can get as many as you want!" At that moment, Esteban is like a dog who is willing to do everything for his master.

Why not? Prince Wayne pays ten times as much as the normal vampire every time he takes a new slave.

Esteban had opened the cellar where they were seating. Her muscles began to tremble because she is one of the options to beat. She didn't even want to raise her head to look at the prince's face because she was afraid that their eyes might met.

Wayne spun around and look at the slaves in the cellar. Everyone is quiet and all their heartbeat could be heard only from the terror. Nobody wants to be chosen by the prince because everyone knows that death is waiting for anyone he chooses.

Suddenly the prince smirked. "I've already chosen a good toy," said the prince.

"How many, dear prince?" It was like Esteban was selling pork. His eyes are shining again because they have high sale again.

"I only want one. That woman!" The prince pointed a woman.

Lana lifts her head because one of the slaves said her to do so. Her eyes widened as she saw the prince's index finger is pointing at her!
