On a sunny day of summers in Seattle, in a home of our protagonist.

"Ember, Ember ,Wake up quickly or you are gonna be late for the school"Aria Goldmym shouted."Mom, Why are shouting in the morning? it's my birthday so what if I slept a little more" Emberlyn Eastwood replied.She came downstairs and sat with her father cajoling him "Good morning, pa, Can't your wife be a little cool like you?what did you see in her to end up marrying her. You are so handsome and cool but she, SHE is a lady dragon always scolding me for this and that". Leonardo Eastwood laughed and said "In this family only you know my true worth, princess"

"Leo, You are sleeping on sofa tonight" Mom said coming from the behind. I said "It's fine pa can sleep with me, I don't mind sheltering him to save him from his dragon wife". Dad laughing on side enjoying the cute argument. "Emberlyn Eastwood, if you don't shut up now then no breakfast for you" Mom said."Okay, Okay my lovely mom nobody's stealing your husband, don't be jealous of me ,your own very beautiful daughter "I said. Dad said "Enough now, stop this useless argument "

"Don't you both get tired of your daily drama " Dad said. "NO" mom and I shouted in a union and we burst out laughing. "Happy Birthday, my beautiful daughter" mom said. " Happy Birthday, Princess". I giggled and asked,"where's my gift?I want a big present for my 18th birthday" ."Your gift will arrive a week later, you will have to wait " .At that time I didn't know my life was gonna turn upside down in the upcoming week.

We moved to the table to have our breakfast, just then the doorbell sounded, knowing very well who arrived I went to open the door. Just when I opened the door someone jumped on me for a tight hug and said "Happy Birthday, Lyn" this was my best Damir Frost, his personality is like a puppy always cheerful."Thank you, Mir"then I moved my eyes to the person standing with him, Kenzo Ashford, my another bestfriend we both smiled."Ember, take Mir and Ken inside" mom shouted from dining room." Leave her now, she might get suffocated by how tightly you are hugging her"Kenzo said to Damir and just then I noticed that he was still hugging me. We separated, Kenzo hugged and wished me birthday too. I blushed when he hugged me but instantly calmed my restless heart, 'this secret crush ,uff' in my mind.

We moved to the dinning room and they both had lunch with my family. I said bye to mom and dad, and we went school together in my family car.

We reached our school, Elite Imperial, this is a best school of the city and its extremely difficult to get in. Good for me that friendiends with Ken and Mir, these topper guys always help me in studying with this mind I giggled and walked towards my class.We entered the class and as usual Damir sat with me which Kenzo sat behind us alone. I sometimes don't get how the hell I managed to make friends with this iceberg, he is literally a human insulator. But I know given our family backgrounds not a lot of people approach is with pure intention even I would not be able to be close to him if it weren't for the fact that we know each other since childhood and our families have business ties, and worst of all I somehow ended up having a crush on this human iceberg , poor me.

"That's it for the class today. Your results of your pre finals are outnow, Go and see notice board" teacher said interrupting my thoughts. " What's the point😑, First three positions of the grade will be held by these three as always, with Kenzo being first as always , Damir Holding his Second position and miss.lazy being the third" Someone said. Well, even though I suck at studies being friends with toppers has it's perks since they both religiously shower with their immense knowledge on me. Well, if it weren't for the results I would have never considered studying with these demons , they are crazy with heaven defying smart ass brain, but to match their level I have to pull several all-nighters and sacrifice my beauty sleep to consistently hold my third position. And you might be wondering why I have to study with them, well it's because of a stupid rule we made in childhood that we will be in everything together. If I could go back to past I would warn my silly self to never make such promises. And it's not like only I am forced to match their pace, I remember I was sick during of our exams once because of which I couldn't give any exam and these two nutjobs also avoided going to school to give exam, after being relentlessly persuaded by me they finally went to give exams. If at that time I knew what these two were gonna do I would have never persuade them in the first place.After my recovery when I again attended the school I was called to teacher room along with them I thought they might called me because of results, I was shocked to hear my teacher being helplessly asking these two about why their results were like this, My confusion was written on face I thought these two must have topped the exam as usual but why was the attitude of teacherconflictingting, the teacher sighed and explained that we three were on the bottom of whole grade because Mir and Ken perfectly avoided giving even one single correct answers. I was shocked and questioned why did they do this? After coming out from the office, to which they answered "Our Promise, we agreed to be together in everything, right". I was shocked to see how seriously they took my words and fulfilled our promise.I think that incident further solidified our friendship after that we were basically inseparable.

"Emberlyn, are you going to have party tonight?" a classmate asked pulling me out of my memories.I replied "Yes, and you all are invited as usual "then I looked at Damir and Kenzo, and smiled, despite being confused about the reason of my smile they still smiled with me.

On the way back after school, we passed the corridor where we came across some students bitching about me, saying stuff like "If it weren't for Damir's and Kenzo's family backgrounds, I wouldn't have made friends with them" or "that I am a vain person without any actual qualities "and stuff like that. I as usual chose to ignore them cause having jealousy around me was something I used to.But before I react Kenzo's cold voice sounded "Listening to your chatter just now. Now, Even I want to know exactly what type of person she is?".Damir replied " Ken, our Lyn is beautiful, elegant, intelligent, smart, witty and most important unlike some people she's kind not like them taking behind everyone ". Those few students lowered their head in shame of being found out talking shot about someone, "Leave it , they are not important, don't loose your temper with them, let's go , today's my birthday there is lot to prepare at home ". " Before talking about Emberlyn consider of you can bear the consequences of offending three powerful families "Kenzo said and we got on our way.

On the way home we dropped Damir at him home first since he lives in our opposite lane and then we got home as Ashford mansion is just besides our mansion.

When I entered my home everyone was busy preparing for my birthday party in the evening.Not a single soul noticed my return. I took a long breath and shouted "I am back" dad was the first to answer "Oh my princess is here, how was your day?" I replied "As usual, and results were released, guess how much I scored?" my father chuckled "Third" and I giggled "but can't I be 1st or 2nd, don't you trust your daughter ", dad said" I will believe you can be 1st or 2nd when those brats disappear from the face of earth". My mother sounded from behind" Stop cursing those innocent children, your own daughter is at fault of being dumber than them". I complained "It's not that I am dumber than them, it's just that my interests are different, You know I wanna be doctor, I scored more than them in Biology and Chemistry ,and even in physics and maths I scored just few points less than them"

"Okay, Okay, my precious daughter don't be upset, today's your birthday, go get ready for the evening ", I went upstairs to dress for the evening. I like keeping a low key so my parents only invited Ashford family, Frost Fily and few of our other relatives. My grandpa lives in Italy, since grandma died he wanted to retire away from the all this family business and stuff. I remember seeing grandpa a year ago, although he is a little bit strict because he is retired from military but he is still very loving towards me and Altan. Oh, and Altan is my younger brother and like any other brother in the world he can be annoying sometimes but he is still my cute little brother, he will be 15 in September this year. He is away on a trip with his school and will arrive back home before evening.

In the evening, I went downstairs saying "Mom, why did you buy this princess style dress? For God's sack, I m 18 now", my mom replied "It's your pa's choice", " Actually, it's not that bad, it's beautiful perfect for my 18th birthday" I commented changing my words.Then dad came "Oh, whose daughter is this beautiful lady! His father must definitely be very handsome to have such a gorgeous daughter" I hugged him and said," My is Leonardo Eastwood, CEO of Eastwood Industries. He is not only super handsome but also a excellent business". "Stop your drama both of you" my mom commented , I replied "You are just jealous of us". My mother sighed "Okay, leave your flattery for some other time, there is still time before guest arrive, you go to your room and rest for now, I will call you later " Just then a big bang of something fallen could be heard "Troublemaker is here" I said under my breath.

All of us looked at the door and as expected a teenage boy, with a beautiful appearance resembling my father as if they craved off a same mold, was standing. "Mom, Dad, Sis, I am back" Altan said. After spending some family time, I went upstairs.

In party everybody was enjoying and waiting for the star of the party. It wasn't a secret that eldest Miss.Eastwood's is unparalleled in the whole city.Leonardo Eastwood and his wife Aria Goldwyn were busy greeting the guests. Kenzo walked towards them to greet them along with his father Andrew Ashford and mother Brielle brown." Hello Uncle and hello Auntie" Kenzo said , Aria replied " Welcome, my child ". Aria hugged Brielle and welcomed her while their husband hugged each other. Andrew whispered in Leonardo ears " Now, Would you give me your daughter?" , Leonardo replied "Dream On, my princess will be with me her whole life if any body wants to marry her then he shall prepare to live with us in future ". " Kenzo take your parents and enjoy the party " Aria said. Then, Damir came with his parents and Eastwood couple welcomed them and other guests.

Kenzo was standing near the bar drinking wine unbothered of the crowd and attracting sneak and peeks of almost all the young ladies in the hall. "Ken, have mercy on other men all the women married or unmarried are attracted towards you" Damir teased. "As if you are attracting less bees" Ken said and smiled. "When will she finally come down, I bet she looks stunning. I have to protect her from other bees or who knows who might steal her from us". Damir sighed .Kenzo eyes darkened and expression stiffed without his notice while he said "Nonsense, who dare to steal her from me.... I mean us" , Kenzo joked " Of course, her boyfriend who would want their beautiful girlfriend to be around her boy-bestfriends". " She won't have boyfriend " said Kenzo, then settled his some unexplainable distress in his heart as he gulped down the whole drink.Damir said nothing more as he continued to wait for Emberlyn.

I heard the knock on my door and Altan came in. "Sis, You are looking very pretty. I have never seen someone more gorgeous than you. If possible I wish I could marry you when I grew up but sadly God made us siblings" Altan said, sighing sadly at the end. "Okay, Okay, enough with the flattery " I said, laughing. "Will this beautiful lady give chance to this handsome gentleman to escort her to the party?" I giggled"Sure, Mr. Gentlemen ".

"Hello, my dear guests, today's the birthday of the 2nd most precious lady in my life, my one and only beautiful daughter Emberlyn Eastwood.Please welcome the birthday girl

Today andy not-so-favorite son, Altan Eastwood " Leonardo announced.Under Everyone's gaze, limelight moved towards the graceful figure extending from the staircase with her long-brown Hain curled towards the ends and wearing a red fishtail gown, looking like some other worldly beauty holding the hand of an equally eye pleasing little gentlemen.Under everyone's dazed expression Eastwood siblings joined their parents on the stage.

"Ken, see I told you the amount she appear every single men's attention will be on her.Sigh, She is looking stunning in red, I am relieved that we became her friends in childhood only or else a gorgeous beauty like her might not have cared about us" Damir said to Kenzo to which he didn't reply as he was mesmerized by the figure in red.Ken thought that he was already immune to her beauty but seeing her good he has to admit that her beauty is seriously enough to make any man on this earth dance on her rhythm willingly.Thinking about Emberlyn with some other men made Kenzo felt uncomfortable, he couldn't stand the idea of her with some other men not even Damir. He suppressed these thoughts thinking he might just be possessive for her as she is his childhood friend whom he met even before Damir.Feeling uncomfortable he gulped down another drink and, removed his tie and opened two buttons of his shirt.He didn't know how because of single action young ladies paying attention to him sucked their breath and blushed.

"Everyone, since today is my daughter's birthday, I will transfer 5% share of Eastwood Industries under my name to her as a birthday gift" Leonardo announced and every clapped."Now, Everyone please enjoy the evening" Emberlyn and others walked down the stage. Emberlyn wanted to go to Damir and Kenzo but got interrupted as every was offering her gifts.After Receiving everyone's wishes and gifts, Emberlyn walked towards Damir and Kenzo. Seeing her coming towards them Kenzo and Damir were again a little mesmerized.

"Happy Birthday, once again here's your birthday present,quick, open and tell me how's it?" Damir said being overexcited. I chuckled and doing as he wishes I opened his present and shock was written all over my face and then I bloomed into a smile because he gifted me his hand crafted gold necklace on which he was working for the past several months, when I asked he didn't say a word and said it's a surprise for someone, I never expected that that someone was me only. "Thank you, Mir , I love it . It's so beautiful" I said while hugging him." Now, if you might give me the honour of putting this necklace on you" Damir chuckled, "Of course "I replied."Done" as put the necklace on me and I turned back as asked them "How's it? Do I look more beautiful?" Damir blushed and said "Yes" while Kenzo continued staring at me without blinking his eyes, blushed and lowered my eyes.

Kenzo POV.As I looked at the blushing girl in front of me, I suddenly remembered the first day I met her she was 3 years like a cute snowball hiding behind her mother as Mrs.Eastwood came to our house when they first transferred here.My mother was bestfriend with Mrs.Aria Eastwood aka Emberlyn's mother. I was 5 at that time a little bit more mature than her , the night before my mother already said that someone special is coming to meet me.As Mrs.Eastwood instructed the little snowball,she finally came at front and greeted my mother with her milky voice.She timidly came towards me calling me "Brother Ken" and held my hand. I remember what my feelings were at that time my inner self was saying "If she can keep calling me Brother Ken in her lovely voice then I don't mind giving her everything I can in this world".I always treated her like my little sister but now I realise that something has changed, I don't when but it changed.Like just at this moment she and Damir are blushing but I don't like the fact she blushed for someone else. I know they both are not blushing because they like each other but still I feel the picture in my front a little bit unsettling.

"Ken" Damir's and Emberlyn's voice sounded interrupting Kenzo's thought. "Oh, Yeah, you look like you always look" Kenzo said.Emberlyn pouted saying "Do you want to say I look ordinary like any other day?" , "Come on, your beauty is second to none, just look around and see how many eyes are on you and how many of them want to strike a conversation with you. If we weren't with this demon whom everyone avoids like a plague because of his posionous tongue, who knows how many Tom and Jerry might loose their hearts to you.Ignore Ken's words, You know he ain't good at giving compliments " Damir said patting by back but I was still looking at him." I meant to say you are always gorgeous in my eyes, I don't see something especially different in you today" Kenzo said trying to explain his words.I and Damir burst out laughing at how cutely Kenzo was trying to explain to dispel any misunderstanding in their conversation.
