It was a fine morning when Nora woke up and got ready for some urgent work. She dressed up and headed to her destination in a cab, constantly checking her mobile for notifications. She was waiting for a text from someone special.
As she arrived at the office, she was surprised to find that it was her appreciation day. Her colleagues had planned a surprise party to celebrate her outstanding work, complete with flowers, gifts, and a cake-cutting ceremony. After everyone had finished eating, Nora gazed out the window and saw the watchman talking to his wife. He made a romantic gesture, trying to propose to her despite his age and joint pain. His wife smiled, and they shared a tender moment, filling Nora's heart with happiness and longing for pure love.
Just then, Nora's mobile rang. She wanted to pick it up, but the call ended. She then received a notification that read, "I'm waiting, come fast." Her heart skipped a beat as she quickly hailed a cab. Without explaining her hurry, she urged the driver, "Please go fast!" However, they soon found themselves stuck in a traffic jam.
Nora's eyes lit up as she received a new message from that special someone: "I'm stuck in a traffic jam, Nora. Can you wait for me?" She frantically scanned her surroundings, searching for a glimpse of him. Finally, she spotted him, and her heart overflowed with unconditional love. Tears welled up in her eyes as she texted back, "Wait, hold on, I'm coming, Nova!"
Nova's response was brief: "Sure." Just then, the traffic began to move. Nora quickly got out of the cab and saw Nova standing by the road. With a radiant smile, she sprinted towards him on the main road.
[Background voice] "Nova... he is... the most beautiful incident in the world. It's been a long time... 17 years ago."
[Flashback]
"Hey, hi! This is Nora!! Isn't my smile just captivating? Back then, I was a little, brave, and super smart girl. Everyone loved me because I spread positivity wherever I went. They thought I was kind, sweet, and gentle... but shh, don't tell anyone, I was actually a bit naughty too!
It was my first day in 3rd grade, and I was excited to see my classmates again. But I was searching for someone special, someone who'd become my partner in crime... and then I found her! My best friend Sumi was adorable, and I thought she was even cuter than me! But she insisted I was the cute one... girls are weird, right?
Sumi made a new friend, and I got a bit possessive. Her name was Rana, which I thought was a pretty weird name. But then... I met him. Nova.
Yeah, guys, it's that time... I meet him."
"I'll never forget the moment we met. I was writing something, lost in my own little world, when suddenly I was startled. He appeared out of nowhere, standing incredibly close to me. I was shocked, my mind blank for a second. All I could see was his mouth, but I couldn't quite make out his smile. I didn't get a good look at his face.
he's moving away from me.' "My mind was racing, 'Don't go, when He moved closer, I felt my heart skip a beat. he moved away, I saw him from a distance, but still couldn't see his face clearly.
"Sumi broke the silence, 'Hyy Nora, did you hear me? Why are you standing like a statue?' Me asked about the boy, 'Who is he?' she replied, 'He's a new student.' Sumi continued, 'I don't know his name, but he came to talk to Rana. Apparently, he's Rana's neighbor.'
"Sumi tried to snap me back to reality, 'What's up now, Nora? Come on, I'm telling you about my holiday trip.'"

Nova's smile faltered for a moment, and he looked at Nora with a hint of nervousness. "I've been thinking about you a lot lately, Nora. I know it's been 17 years, but... I don't know, I felt like I had to see you again."
Nora's heart skipped a beat. She hadn't expected Nova to be so straightforward. "Why now?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Nova took a deep breath. "I've been working on a project, and I stumbled upon an old photo of us from elementary school. It brought back a lot of memories, and... I don't know, it felt like fate was giving me a second chance."
Nora's eyes locked onto Nova's, searching for any sign of insincerity. But all she saw was genuine emotion.

Day 2: I was ecstatic to see him, so I arrived at school early. I waited in class, scanning the room for his face. As the students filed in, I searched for him, but he was nowhere to be found. Unfortunately, I didn't know his name, so I had to wait until the next day.
The next day, our classroom was rearranged by section. I was relieved to find that I was in Class B. As I entered the classroom, I spotted my friend Sam, who was also my partner in mischief. He always protected me, and I felt safe with him by my side.
As I searched for the mysterious boy, my eyes scanned the room. Suddenly, I saw a familiar smile, and my heart skipped a beat. My eyes locked onto his face, and I felt an inexplicable rush of emotions. My heart was racing, and my stomach was filled with a mix of excitement and nervousness.
I couldn't take my eyes off his smile, and my mind was racing with thoughts. Finally, I saw his face, and my world came to a standstill. His beauty left me breathless, and I had never seen a boy as handsome as him.
The teacher broke the silence, calling me out to take attendance. I went through the list, calling out each student's name. When I said my own name, "Nora," I replied, "Present." Then, I called out "Nova."
The classroom fell silent, and all eyes were on Nova. He stood up, looking a bit bewildered. I asked him to sit down, but then I called his name again. This time, he stood up and introduced himself.
I was thrilled to learn that Nova would be sitting next to me, but our teacher reminded us that boys would be seated on the right side of the classroom, while girls would be on the left. I felt a pang of disappointment, but I was still happy to have Nova as my classmate.
As the lesson began, I found myself stealing glances at Nova. I couldn't explain why I was drawn to him, but I couldn't help myself. I felt confused and wondered what was wrong with me.
During the next break, I saw Sam talking to Nova. It seemed like they were hitting it off, and I felt a sense of relief. Maybe having Nova as a friend wouldn't be so bad after all.
Hey, Sam! What's up, bro?" I asked.
"Nothing, Nora. Who's that?" Sam replied, nodding toward Nova.
"That's Nova," I said with a smile. "Hi, I'm Nora."
"I'm Nova," he replied, and I offered him my hand in friendship.
But instead of shaking it, Nova suddenly reacted as if I had misbehaved with him. "Distance, okay? Bye," he said abruptly.
Sam asked, "What's wrong, Nora? You did nothing!"
I shook my head. "I don't know. Everyone's looking at me like I'm the bad one. I'm so embarrassed."
For the next seven days, our conversations were limited to simple hellos and questions related to our studies. But there was no deeper connection between us.
Then, one day, our teacher asked, "Who's been naughty?" and I raised my hand. As punishment, I was made to sit between the boys and girls, right next to Nova.
I felt nervous, shocked, and happy all at once. Nova stunned me with his gaze, and I wondered why he seemed to hate me.
As we sat together, I realized that Nova was even naughtier than I was. He kept disturbing me, and I got irritated. "Stop it!" I whispered, but he didn't listen.
Just then, our teacher said, "Those of you who are too naughty will have to leave." I stood up, ready to face the consequences.
As I did, the head of the department (HOD) walked into our classroom for a routine inspection.
The HOD saw us standing there and asked our teacher, "Why are they standing here?" Our teacher replied, "They're the naughty ones." The HOD punished us by making us clean the school grounds together.
As we cleaned, we had fun together, but our playful banter quickly turned into a Tom and Jerry-like rivalry. We fought and argued, and eventually, we started to hate each other.
I asked our teacher if I could be transferred to Section A, but she refused, citing my role as class representative. Instead, I managed to get Nova transferred to Section A.
Later, I realized that I had been unfair to him and decided to apologize. I waited for the perfect moment, but before I could say sorry, Nova suddenly slapped me on the face.

Nora's eyes welled up with tears as she touched her cheek, still stinging from the slap. She couldn't believe Nova would do that to her?

Later, I realized that I had been unfair to him and decided to apologize. I waited for the perfect moment, but before I could say sorry, Nova suddenly slapped me on the face.
I was shocked and stunned. "Why did you do that?" I asked, but Nova just said, "That's for being so annoying. I hate hearing your name and I hate seeing your face. Don't come near me again."
A few hours later, Sam approached me and said, "Nora, I think I know why Nova slapped you." I asked him to explain, and Sam revealed that Rana had misinformed Nova about my request to have him transferred to Section A.
Sam explained, "Nova's friends in Section A told him that he got punished because of you. They said you hate him and want him to get in trouble. That's why he's so angry with you."
I felt relieved, knowing that the rumor was the cause of Nova's behavior. Sam's support meant a lot to me.
I confided in Sumi, asking her why Nova hated me so much. Sumi smiled mischievously and said, "He hates you, right? And you love him, right?"
I was shocked that Sumi knew my feelings. She revealed that she had told Nova's friend that I had requested for him to be transferred back to our class, but Rana had rejected the request. Sumi assured me that Nova would come around soon.
I felt happy and hopeful after talking to Sumi. However, for the next few days, Nova continued to ignore me. He would play with Sam, but whenever I approached them, Nova would stun me with his gaze, making me feel sad.
One day, everything changed. Nova ran past me, flashing a bright smile. I was shocked and thrilled by this sudden gesture.
I saw him every day, and my feelings for him grew stronger. On the day of the farewell singing competition, I participated and saw Nova wearing a yellow shirt for the first time. He looked incredibly handsome.
As I prepared to sing, Nova approached me and asked, "Are you finished singing?" I replied, "No, I still have time." He smiled and said, "Okay," before walking away.
When it was my turn to sing, I felt nervous, but as I glanced down at the side of the stage, I saw Nova standing there with a smile on his face. His presence calmed my nerves, and I completed my singing program.
Afterward, I returned to the room, and Nova ran up to me with a smile. "Your voice is so sweet," he said, making me feel happy and elated.
The next week, our exams finished, and it was the last day of school. As we parted ways, I saw Nova getting onto his school van. Our eyes met, and though we didn't exchange words, our eyes spoke volumes.
I waited for two months for school to reopen, eager to meet Nova again. But when the day finally arrived, I was met with disappointing news: Nova had changed schools and was now attending one closer to his home.
I was heartbroken and missed him terribly. His friends were my only source of information about him, but eventually, I lost touch with them too.
The pain of losing Nova was too much to bear, and I decided to drop out of school for a year. The next year, I enrolled in a new school near my house, hoping for a fresh start.
But even now, I have no idea what happened to Nova or where he is ?
