   I wake up as my sister bouncing drew my sleep away "What" I drew out as my eyes snaps open, ignoring the sensation to rub it." Well, mom left around 5 and dad has been working overnight, it's 7 and school starts at 8" She says resting her arms on her hips. "Maggie, is this the best time to remind me of the world's problem'' I say, stretching out of bed ''If, it gets me to school then yes'' She answers skipping out of my room. My feet shuffle along the wooden board as I make my way to the bathroom, I walk over to the sink facing the mirror as a freckled teen boy came to my view. I speed my way in the bathroom, brushing, washing and dressing. I settle for those furry celebrity hoodies and khaki pants as I rush to the kitchen.I enter the kitchen faced with my sister stuffing fruit loops in her mouth, uncivilized I know. I grab an apple as my sister hands over a letter probably from our mother.

 Alex, your father and I are going to be coming back late so dinners in the microwave and turkey's in the oven. Tell Mrs Charles to send the boys over after school, don't forget to take the keys. -love Mom.

"Love mom'' I scoff out biting into my apple. ''We have 20 minutes minus 10 minutes drive'' Maggie says dropping her bowl in the sink. ''Wow, my sister is suprisely good in Math'' I reply sarcastically, ''Let's go for a coffee run '' wait for it, I say in my mind ''at Starbucks '' She finishes. ''Drinking Starbucks doesn't count as drinking coffee'' I say grabbing my keys heading for the door once we are out, "Besides....'' I say before my mouth was clamped by surprise. ''Besides what.... Oh! do you like it'' she says pointing bat the strange marking on the pavement. ''You made this'' I said in awe. ''Yes'' she nods her head. ''It's amazing and am sure mom went cahoot'' I say jumping over the artwork. ''Yeah she did, she screamed my name louder than Dave could scream ALVIN'' She runs towards the car screaming the Alvin bit. We both hopped into the car zooming our way to Starbucks, I said Starbucks isn't coffee doesn't mean I won't drink it.

I drop my sister off at the front of the school, her strange friends hollering her over while I go park the car at the assigned senior's parking lot, I know perks of being a freshman.I enter the school through the backdoor, stepping into the half empty, half full hallways. I scan the halls looking for my best friend - Jenny . After, 5 minutes I give up sighing and then make my way to the lockers. I reach my locker faced with a black haired and blue eye specimen otherwise known as Jenny. ''Have been looking for you'' I say my eyes fixated on her black butler shirt.

"For how long'' she says.'' What'' I say drawing my eyes away from the shirt. She mutters something lowly in polish ''How have you been looking for me'' she repeats. ''For about 5 minutes'' I say avoiding her squinting eyes, after few seconds she turned on her heels and walked away leaving me to chase after her. I shove my books for the next three classes into my bag.... I finally caught up with her, you know for someone with short legs she walks fast. ''Oh, my gods Jenny slow down a bit'' I say reaching out to grab her shoulder ''What'' she says her eyes glowing as she turns to face me ''There's something wrong, why do you look like your about to cry.... you were like only gone for about two weeks'' I say as I scrutinize her expression. She mutters something lowly again, avoiding eye contact '' You found out so quickly'' she says finally looking me in the eyes ''Grandpa David died'' she reveals leaving me in shock ''Really'' I say widening my eye ''And my best friend doesn't know about it, I come to school expecting a warm giant hug but had to face the reality that he searched for me for only five minutes and went to Starbucks without me plus Mike....'' she continues before I abruptly stopped her, my wrapping her with my arms in my embrace. ''What did Mike do'' I mutter lowly ''He broke up with me through the phone'' she says sniffing ''His so getting it, I'll make sure I hit extra hard with the lacrosse stick and to think he'll have the guts to say it to your face instead of through the phone'' I say tightening embrace making her bursts into tears ''Dear, Dear sentimental bestie'' I coo at her. ''Bitch'' she says wiping her eyes as she wiggles out of my embrace. ''I want Starbucks" she utters looking at me with this may. ''I know I left to Starbucks without you, but that doesn't mean you were left out of the order'' I say grabbing the caramel moose out of my bag handing it over as the bell rang for first period. We walk to class when a question popped into my head ''How did you know'' I asked immediately ''Know what'' she said looking at me before opening the door to our first class - English ''About the visit to Starbucks '' I say trying to come up with an answer myself ''No 1,am your best friend '' she answers before raising her pointing finger then taking a long sip of her drink '' No 2, I am a seer'' she said raising her index finger before dropping it, noticing she made the peace sign. ''What is a seer'' I question her taking a sit at the unoccupied first seat "OMG" She says palming her face a lit bit too hard "Your mother is a fool" She says sitting next to me. My mother is a fool feels good to hear others acknowledge it but still doesn't answer my question. "During break I shall reveal all" her eyes glowing a bit. Well that was mysterious, I thought scanning the class for something amiss before I caught up with the new seating arrangement.

''What's with the new seating arrangement '' I ask Jenny, knowing she knows all the gossip'' I heard we are having a group of transfers from the business league school" Jenny said the small sides of her lips turn up enough to be called smiling "Oh, my gods those bitches again" I groan put load. ''I have a feeling you'd like this" she said looking at Mr 'O' Bryan has he walked into the classroom with a flood of students behind him. The English class went on and on as my attention fixated on Jenny. For a small girl...I mean short girl she sure is mysterious, the break is going to be interesting.

The sound of the clock and Mrs Alice voice mixed together in Sweet Harmony calling me and in the entire class to sweet slumber.You know for a social studies teacher she isn't so social. The bell ring putting us all out of our misery. All the Student rush out of the class before Mrs alice could mention the projects so would I if I didn't stay behind to wake up Jenny. Jenny shot out of her chair as soon as I shook her up. She quickly packed her bags holding my arms firmly, dragging me out of the classroom. People make way for us as soon as she was sighted with those glowing blue eyes . We make it to library shutting the door tightly behind us .She takes in a deep breath before letting out series of words in latin. The bulbs flicker a little before going out completely. Then suddenly a golden glow emitted from herr body turning eye into a beacon of light .Books danced around her flying all over the place, an unknown book appeared midway before landing with a thud. The book flipped itself open stopped right in the middle. The scene slowly began to change the library mending into the background making way for a scenery of peace . Pictures danced out the book leaving me a stunned. A force drew me closer to Jenny, letting the light that came within her die down."Welcome" Angelic voices echoed.

 ''Welcome to the hall of witches'' Jenny says looking deep into my eyes. ''Witches.... What witches'' I say as I try to start up my mushy brain ''Yes witches, am a witch, your a witch, your sister's a witch'' Maggie says counting her fingers.''My sister's a witch'' I scream out, that suddenly explains a lot.... the strange marking on the pavement, the giant circle filled with diamond in her room and so on.

 ''Yes your sister is a witch'' she replies moving the pictures floating around until she finds a picture of a group of kids in their teens and on the picture frame carved in cursive. The Ravenswood family aka my family name. ''This is the one'' she says to me handing me over the picture pointing the little girl in ponytail and braces otherwise recognized as Maggie and then to me standing next to her, but I don't remember taking a picture because the timeline was all messed up my dad was 17 in the photo, I was 16 and Maggie was 13, it made completely no sense ''The photo captures all the member of The Ravenswood family at their time of awakening '' she says answering my questions and still producing more. ''Tap on it and maybe it might answer the rest of your question'' she says and walks away from me as I tap the book.

 Jenny POV

 If the chosen wasn't Alex I wouldn't have answered T.A.C if they asked me to be his seer apart from me, they where other seer's and creature's that wanted to be his guardian and one of them was Dawn, Dawn was a whisperer she had the ability to speak into the future, a powerful power given to the smallest of creatures. Dawn walked into the library as soon as I left the book without Alex, her blonde hair thrown into french braids as she stood in front of me .She feeling kinda proud be cause she came from the lineage of Archane , Archane a woman from the ancient town of Ravenwood. Just like seer's like me are blind, whisperers like her are mute. She doesn't really talk it's more of whispering in the your mind kind off like a thought. "Jenny, tell Alex that am the one meant to be doing this and leave" She whispers. "No, his mother is the one meant to be doing it but we all know that it was her that got is here in the first place'' I answer her. ''If TAC didn't tell you about his identity you won't even be here" she Snickers in my head "That's a lie'' I say trying to end the question that would shake the foundation of our friendship ''Just give up, is am the the Archane that is to guide him'' she bellows ''No I am the Jenny he is to end up with'' I snap at her ''We both know he is to end up with Lyra'' she snaps back. ''Jenny, what's going on here''Alex says has he walked up to me . "Lyra's coming soon" Dawn says with a smirk and I Know Alex can hear it too , the echoes of her thought bounced of the wall as she walks away.
