Alice In Borderland (Fan Made)

Episode 01

Himari, a young woman of 21 years, closed the door to her small apartment after another long day at work. She is a normal office worker. She let out a heavy sigh as she kicked off her uncomfortable shoes, the weight of the world seeming to settle on her shoulders. Her small space felt even smaller as she moved through the familiar motions of changing out of her work clothes and collapsing onto her bed, the fatigue seeping into her bones. The pale light filtering through the window cast a soft glow on her face, accentuating the lines of tiredness etched there, a stark contrast to the vibrancy she once possessed. In that moment, the mundanity of her existence pressed down on her with suffocating clarity. She hated her job. She wanted to get rich without doing anything. Today, she had to do overwork that's why she was soo tired.

The next morning, following the same monotonous routine that is brushing, bathing, eating and getting dressed in her favourite office suit, Himari made her way to the train station, her footsteps echoing in the empty hallway. The usual thrum of the city was eerily absent, because she was early, it was 6 A.M., sending a shiver down her spine. As she paused to use the restroom, a sense of unease crept over her a minute later. She heard nothing. Nothing at all. No echoing of steps of other people, no laughs and no sound of anyone. Stepping out, she found herself alone, surrounded by a haunting silence. No one was there. No one... Panic clawed at her throat as she called out for anyone who might hear, but her voice was swallowed by the empty expanse before her. Fear gripped her heart, the world that was once bustling and alive now reduced to a ghostly stillness. Tentatively, she ventured back through the vacant station, the abandoned shops and quiet streets a stark contrast to the chaos of daily life she had always known. She stood in the middle of the road, dumbfounded and scared.

Amidst the unnerving quiet, Himari realized a dawning realization - the responsibility and purpose she derived from her job were interwoven with her identity, a realization that struck her with profound force. She wasn't just missing the routine of her daily life; she was adrift without an anchor, lost within the confines of her own uncertainties and insecurities. The search for answers turned into a quest for self-discovery as she delved into the recesses of her memories, the shadows of her fears and desires coming to light in the absence of external distractions.

The looming shadow of despair descended upon Himari as loneliness and isolation seeped into her very being. The realization that she may never see another soul again weighed heavily on her, a suffocating certainty that threatened to engulf her entirely. In the silence that stretched endlessly, she grappled with her inner demons, the echoes of her past mistakes and regrets reverberating in the emptiness around her. The gaping void of solitude yawned before her, a chasm she feared she would never have the strength to cross.

With a steely resolve born of her newfound understanding of her own strength and resilience, Himari faced the bleak landscape of her solitude head-on. Drawing on the forgotten lessons of perseverance and fortitude, she forged ahead, determined to reclaim the shattered fragments of her life and rebuild anew from the ashes. Refusing to succumb to the paralyzing grip of hopelessness, she sought solace in the memories of love and connection that had sustained her through the darkest nights.

In a moment of clarity, as the ghosts of her past faded into the recesses of her mind, Himari found a wellspring of empowerment within herself. She was not defined by the circumstances that sought to confine her but by the choices she made in the face of adversity. Embracing the solitude as a crucible in which her spirit was tempered, she emerged from the crucible with a sense of purpose and a renewed zest for life. With each new step she took, she felt the weight of her burdens lift, replaced by a profound sense of liberation that filled her to the brim. Though the world around her remained a vast emptiness, within her, a spark of resilience burned bright, illuminating the path forward with unwavering resolve.

She smiled. She thought "I'm alone now... It means no work, no tension and no responsibility!" She danced in joy. She screamed in joy. She went inside convenience store and ate everything she wanted to. She changed her clothes into comfortable ones, a black hoodie and longer black shorts and white sneakers. She loved it. She loved being alone. At last, after getting tired, at 7 P.M., she sat on the road, sighing in tiredness. "Phew. Today was fun. I wanna live like this everyday." She layed on the road and closed her eyes.

Episode 02

Himari lay on the empty road, surrounded by a desolate landscape. The silence was deafening, and the gentle rustle of dried leaves in the wind was the only sound to be heard. Above her, the sky painted a masterpiece of colors as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the world. Despite the solitude, a sense of contentment filled her as she basked in the tranquil beauty of the fading day, finding solace in the simplicity of being alone in a world devoid of chaos and people. At that moment, a piercing bright light suddenly forced her eyes open, breaking the peaceful stillness. Confusion clouded her mind as she spotted a strange message on a screen on a nearby building that read, "Go right to play the game." The words hung in the air, a mysterious invitation beckoning her towards an unknown path.

With a mix of curiosity and apprehension, Himari hesitantly started walking towards the right, unsure of what to expect but compelled to follow the enigmatic instructions. The road ahead diverged into three separate paths, each shrouded in darkness and uncertainty. Just then, a screen in the middle section flickered to life with the message "this way" displayed in bold letters, guiding her down a specific route. Determined to unravel the mystery that lay ahead, Himari continued on until she reached a foreboding building, ominous in the fading light of day. Parked in front of the structure was a solitary car with a cryptic message etched on its hood that instructed her to enter the building to start the game.

Steeling herself for what was to come, Himari took a deep breath and ventured inside the dimly lit interior of the building. The air was heavy with a sense of anticipation, and a chill ran down her spine as she saw an arrow pointing towards an old, creaking elevator. Slowly, she made her way to the waiting elevator and found herself standing next to a small table adorned with a collection of sleek, futuristic phones. A sense of foreboding washed over her as she read the message on the wall above the table, instructing her to select one device as a lone player, the weight of her isolation bearing down on her like a heavy shroud.

As Himari hesitantly reached for one of the phones, a surge of emotions coursed through her veins, a mixture of fear and excitement bubbling to the surface. The instant her fingers made contact with the smooth surface of the device, the phone sprang to life with a soft glow, prompting a message that instilled a sense of unease within her. The screen displayed a brief notification that her face had been recognized, with an unsettling request to await the arrival of additional players, though she was acutely aware of the stark reality of her singular presence in this mysterious game.

The minutes ticked by agonizingly slow, each second stretching into an eternity as Himari stood rooted to the spot, her heart hammering in her chest with a mounting sense of dread. Just as she began to grapple with the overwhelming sense of isolation and fear creeping into her mind, a sudden shift in the game brought a wave of relief and ferocious determination.

In a moment of utter defeat, Himari found herself on the brink of surrender, surrounded by the echoes of her shattered resolve and the haunting specter of failure. The oppressive atmosphere of the game threatened to suffocate her spirit, and she grappled with the paralyzing fear of an unknown fate looming menacingly on the horizon. It was in this darkest hour that a flicker of strength and resilience ignited within her, a spark of defiance that refused to be extinguished by the encroaching shadows.
