Kang Siwoo, a college student had just finished his appointments for the day

“Today was really tiring…” he said to himself as he is walking down the street while reading a novel in his phone, titled 'Lovely Princess'

“Did her life have to end this tragically?” he said, reffering to a side character who met an unfortunate end

The novel he reads revolve around the main character, Jeneatte De Alger Obelia. The novel tell us about how the main character melts the heart of the cold-blooded tyrant, Claude De Alger Obelia

(The story is set in the historical era, where there are nobles, knights, and magic)

Claude De Alger Obelia is revered by Obelia as a hero who saved them from the tyrannical ways of the previous emperor, reigning as the next ruler after his older brother

The emperor worked as an impeccable and inflexible ruler, who had indifference for noble titles and care for the empire's well-being. He is a cold-blooded emperor who showcases indifference and detachment

Jeanette is a kind and bright child who was easy to love and became the center of attention. She was the emperor's daughter

At first, the emperor was cold and indifferent towards her, but as time gradually passed while spending time with her, he grew to cherish her

There was also another child, Athanasia De Alger Obelia, the first daughter of the emperor

Jeanette and Athanasia became friends, and although Athanasia was the emperor's daughter, he did not spare her any indifference that he had

“I feel pity for her to have this sorry excuse of a father” Siwoo exclaimed, annoyed by the attitude of the emperor

He stops in front of the crossroad as the sign indicates not to cross yet, until he sees a ball rolling towards his direction from the other side, and at the same time a kid running in the crossroad to chase it

“It's dangerous!!” he shouts with a distressed expression as he sees an incoming truck, and by instinct he rushes forward and pushes him out of the way taking the hit in his stead

-CRASH

(..I'm about to lose consciousness.. did the kid make it out?.) his vision starts to blur as he loses his consciousness (I'm gonna faint.)

-He blacked out

...“♪ Hmm~ ♪” he hears a faint and calming melody (....Who's humming?..) he slowly opens his eyes to see an unfamiliar and strange setting (...Where is this.. everything looks luxurious!! am I in heaven?!) he was in a room enamoured in gold (Seriously?!)

“Oh, you're awake!” a woman dressed in a maid's uniform comes closer and lifts him up (H-how did she-) his thoughts come to a pause as he reaches out his hands and see that they're small and are that of an infant

The maid smiles gently and carries him with care “I seem to have woken you up your highnesss” she says affectionately (I'm a baby..) he thought while trying to sort his situation

(I seem to have reincarnated but where?) he observes his surroundings and notice the outdated design of the room (the structure is very similar to the eastern parts of the continent yet.. these design exist only in the later parts of history and her clothes... 'your highness'?)

He contemplated his thoughts and came to the conclusion (I must be in the past! that would explain my situation, and judging by the way she addressed me, I must be royalty)

“I have to put you back to sleep or the headmaid might scold me for disturbing you.. it's a relief that the princess is still asleep” she said while breathing a sigh of relief (Princess?)

“Anyway, let's play for a bit before I put you to sleep” she smiled while gazing at him affectionately (..She seems nice..) she carries him carefully and goes towards a mirror

“Kya! you look so cute your highness! you look like an angel sent from above” she dottingly adores me as he analyzes his appearance (..blonde hair and-) he pauses for a second as he gazes at his reflection (..pretty... they look like jewels..)

“As expected of your highness, your jewel-blue eyes that symbolize the imperial lineage adds up an extra charm for your adorable appearance!” she says excitedly as she fawns over his lovable appearance

('Imperial lineage'?? 'jewel-blue eyes'?? somehow those terms, when put together, sound familiar...) The maid continues to play with him making him more and more tired (..I'm tired..it must be this body.. ) he slowly closes his eyelids and the maid takes notice of this and smiles softly

The maid carries him back to the crib, and places him down gently as to not wake him up “Sleep well your highnesses”

The scenery show two identical babies, the mc, and another baby girl sleeping peacefully

“Your highness should also try this too!!”

The maid from before, joyfully changes his clothes according to her recommendations

He thought as his inner self expresses slight avoidance to the idea

“Kya! I just can't decide, your highness looks too cute in all of them!!”

(Two days have passed since I reincarnated in this world. I gathered the information that I could, but it's still insufficient. The maids who came to clean this room were quite chatty..)

(This energetic lady is Hannah, she is one of the few maids who are working in this mansion, she also acts as a nanny. This place is called the "Ruby palace", where I live in among with other people. The "Ruby palace" was originally the place where the emperor's concubines had lived, in short, the emperor's harem..)

Our mother died shortly after we were born, leaving us forgotten. Since then, the emperor cast us aside and we were being raised by the maids of the "Ruby palace")

A woman with brown hair and sky blue eyes enter the room

“Please don't trouble the prince and princess too much, get plenty of rest for now, I'll take care of them”

This woman is lady Lillian (-Lily for short)

(If I remember correctly, she is our actual nanny but because of the tasks of the head maid, I speculate that Anne must be looking after us for some time to assist Lily)

“You're always working so hard lady Lillian, you might pass out at this rate”

Anne spoke in worry of her well-being, clearly concerned

“Thank you Hannah, but you don't have to worry about me. Please go help out the others if you can”

Lily reassured her and convinced her to complete her tasks.

“Alright..”

Anne complied and went out of the room

-door closes

“Good morning your highness, prince Atheus” (My name.. Atheus)

“.. -and princess Athanasia”

(And my sister, Athanasia)

The head maid had a gentle smile and gazed affectionately towards the two infants

(...The names seem somewhat familiar yet I can't have a complete grasp over it, if only I had more information)

He was thinking hard about it, racking up his brain for any thing he might've missed

(..Compiling the information I've gathered, I'm sure that this world is indeed from a different period of time... Athanasia...)

He contemplated and his attention was focused on his the name Athanasia,uncommon, familiar and grand

(I realize now.. this world is not the past, this is the novel "Lovely Princess"...)

He felt relieved but slightly anxious

(But a character named 'Atheus' was never mentioned in the original work so how could I possibly exist? But.. what scares me more is the emperor that I haven't met)

He internally sighs thinking it best to not dwell on it any further to avoid confusion

(I don't have to bother with this, after all, I just have to focus on what's in front of me)

He shifts his gaze towards Lily who was carrying Athanasia. The scene looked like something straight out of picturesque painting, the atmosphere expressed as calm and bright

(I have a feeling that this life will be enjoyable)

Hannah was blinded by the cuteness that unfolded before her

“My sweet princess, you'd like some chocolate?”

“Yeah! Athy loves chocolate, Athy wants a lot!”

The nanny was fawning over Athy's cuteness

“A-athy! we shouldn't eat sweets without Lily's permission. She said that our teeth will rot!”

The boy was running over to them and was speaking a bit nervously

“But Athy wants chocolate.”

“But Lily said no.”

The two were bickering about the issue and Hannah just fawned over them
