Scene: Dorm Room – Late Night
Elias Rivers
Elias: "Dude, are you hearing that?"
Aiden Hayes
Aiden: "Hearing what?" (barely looking up from his laptop)
Elias Rivers
Elias: "The sirens. Like, a lot of them."
Aiden Hayes
Aiden: "It’s a college town. Drunk idiots, probably."
Elias Rivers
Elias: "No. This is different." (gets up, walks to the window)
Elias Rivers
Elias: (stiffens) "Aiden... you need to see this."
Aiden Hayes
Aiden: (finally stands, joins Elias) "The, hell—"
(Outside: Streets in chaos, people running, distant explosions, shadows moving unnaturally fast, people screaming in terror, alarms blaring.)
Aiden Hayes
Aiden: "That’s not normal."
Elias Rivers
Elias: "No kidding." (grabs Aiden’s wrist) "We need to leave. Now."
(Lights flicker, emergency alert blares from their phones.)
Aiden Hayes
Aiden: "Elias... what the hell is happening?"
Elias Rivers
Elias: (grabs his phone, as he reads the alert, his eyes darkened) "The end of the world."

Scene: Dorm Room – Minutes After the Chaos Began
Aiden Hayes
Aiden: (gripping his phone) "News says... it's everywhere. Cities shutting down, riots, people attacking each other."
Elias Rivers
Elias: "Not just people." (watching something outside)
Aiden Hayes
Aiden: (hesitates) "What do you mean—?"
(Loud banging at their door.)
Aiden Hayes
Aiden: (jumps) "Shit. What if it's campus security?
Elias Rivers
Elias: (shakes head, whispering) "Then why aren't they saying anything?"
(Door handle rattles, low growling sounds from the other side.)
Aiden Hayes
Aiden: "Hell no. We are not opening that."
Elias Rivers
Elias: "Agreed. But we can’t stay here either." (grabs a baseball bat from under his bed)
Aiden Hayes
Aiden: "You had that this whole time?"
Elias Rivers
Elias: "What? Just in case."
Aiden Hayes
Aiden: "Okay. So, where do we go? Outside’s a war zone, inside’s a death trap."
Elias Rivers
Elias: "We need supplies. Food, weapons, a car."
Aiden Hayes
Aiden: "Oh sure, let’s just waltz out there and—"
(The sound of glass shattering down the hall. the a scream. Then silence.)
Elias Rivers
Elias: (grabs Aiden’s wrist) "No more arguing. We move. Now."
(They push open the dorm window, the only escape route left.)
Aiden Hayes
Aiden: (staring down) "You have to be kidding me."
Elias Rivers
Elias: (grinning, despite the chaos) "C’mon, pretty boy. Time to jump."

Into The Fire
Scene: Outside the Dorm – Just After the Escape.
(They land in the bushes below their window, but Aiden doesn’t get up right away.)
Elias Rivers
Elias: (panting) "Aiden?" (kneels beside him)
Aiden Hayes
Aiden: (wincing) "I think… I twisted my ankle."
(Distant screams echo from the dorms. The infected are spreading.)
Elias Rivers
Elias: (grits his teeth) "Can you walk?"
Aiden Hayes
Aiden: (tries, but stumbles) "Not… fast."
(Elias hesitates—then ducks, pulling Aiden onto his back.)
Aiden Hayes
Aiden: "Elias—!"
Elias Rivers
Elias: "Shut up and hold on."
The Campus is in absolute Ruins
(Elias carries Aiden across campus, stepping over abandoned bags, blood smears, shattered glass.)
Aiden Hayes
Aiden: (softly) "This was our home..."
Elias Rivers
Elias: (jaw clenched) "Not anymore."
(They duck behind a fallen tree as infected students twitch unnaturally in the distance.)
Aiden Hayes
Aiden: (whispers) "They’re just… standing there."
Elias Rivers
Elias: (watching closely) "Listening."
(Aiden suddenly sucks in a breath—his eyes locked on someone in the group.)
(A friend. Someone they knew.)
Aiden Hayes
Aiden: (voice breaking) "Darren…?"
Elias Rivers
Elias: (his voice firm and urgent) "Aiden—don't."
(Darren’s head jerks toward them. The moment stretches—will he attack? Recognize them?)
(Then, his mouth parts, releasing an inhuman snarl.)
Elias Rivers
Elias: (grabs Aiden’s wrist) "Run!"
(They sprint, Aiden limping. The infected give chase.)
Aiden Hayes
Aiden: (gasping) "Elias, I—I can’t—"
(Elias suddenly shoves him into a storage room, slamming the door shut.)
(The infected claw at the outside, but eventually leave.)
(Inside, it’s dark. Cramped and narrow. Both of them breathing hard.)
Aiden Hayes
Aiden: (shaky whisper) "You should’ve left me."
Elias Rivers
Elias: (soft but fierce) "Don’t ever say that again."
(Elias grips Aiden’s hand tightly in the dark. For the first time, Aiden doesn’t pull away.)
Aiden Hayes
Aiden: (whispering) "What if this is the end?"
Elias Rivers
Elias: (softly, squeezing his hand) "Then we'll go through it together."
