The wind rustled through the crowns of the ancient oaks, and the mist crept like living shadows across the forest floor.
In the dense forests of Eldoria far from the magnificent kingdoms, Lyara lived with her mother, who was a simple healer. Her house, a small hut made of dark wood, stood at the edge of the forbidden forest, a place where only the bravest entered.
Lyara was different from the other villagers. While they were bound to their simple life, she always felt an invisible force within her, a quiet whisper in the wind calling to her. She understood the language of animals, felt the emotions of the people around her and dreamed of places she had never seen.
But she didn't talk about it to anyone. People feared anything they couldn't understand and the last thing Lyara wanted was to be burned as a witch.
There was a strange tension in the air that evening. The stars shone brighter than usual and the moon shone blood red through the clouds. Lyara's mother sat with her in front of the fireplace, stirring a cauldron of healing herbs and speaking in a quiet voice

Lara you shouldn't go out tonight, the wind brings a dark message
But that was exactly what attracted Lara even more. For days, she felt an invisible force calling her as if something or someone was waiting for her.
Late that night when her mother was asleep, Lara pulled her cloak tighter around herself and left the hut. The forest was quiet, too quiet. Not a sound of a bird not a rustle of leaves. Just the quiet murmur of the wind in a language she didn't understand.
She followed the feeling inside her letting her feet guide her until she came to a small hidden lake. The water was black
like ink and reflected the red moon. Lara was about to lean over the surface when suddenly a noise came from behind her.
A man stood there half hidden in the shadows. His hair shimmered silver in the moonlight, and his eyes were so deep and dark that they reminded Lara of the night sky.
he said quietly his voice sounding like a distant storm
He smiled but it wasn't a happy smile it was full of pain and full of secrets.
An icy shiver ran down her spine this was the moment her fate would change forever.

Lara felt the blood rushing through her veins the mysterious stranger in front of her seemed like a creature from another world his silver hair gleamed in the moonlight, his dark eyes sparkled like the night sky, but it wasn't just his looks it was the scary presence that surrounded him.
The man took his time answering as if weighing it up then he stepped into the light his cloak moved around him like living shadows.

How do you know my name?
He smiled slightly, but there was something sad in his features

A cold shiver ran down her spine Lara sensed that he wasn't saying empty phrases there was a deep truth in his words but why?
Kaelan watched her in silence he knew Lyara didn't recognize him and couldn't know what he was, but he felt it the bond between them as old as the stars themselves.

at that time a gust of wind blew through the trees and for a moment she saw Kaelan's eyes light up
for a split second they shimmered a dark purple

Lyara didn't know what he meant, but something told her that she should take his words seriously

A tall, slender figure stepped from the darkness. Her flowing, midnight-black hair fell like liquid silk over her shoulders, and her emerald eyes sparkled with superiority. She wore a deep dark dress that clung to her body like a living shadow

Lyara didn't know much about the Shadow Realm but everyone knew the name Seraphina. A powerful witch who once betrayed her own family to claim the dark powers for herself. It was said that her heart no longer beat, that she only consisted of magic, hate and desire for power

she stepped closer, her fingers gliding gently over his chin, but his expression remained cold.

"You promised me that you would rule by my side, and now I find you here... with her?"
Her gaze fell on Lyara and jealousy flashed in her eyes
Lyara didn't back away she didn't know why but she sensed that Seraphina was a rival. One that Kaelan not only wanted but wanted to own.
Lara
What do you want from him?"
Lyara asked challengingly
Seraphina looked at her disdainfully and laughed softly

How sweet, the little girl thinks she can stand up against me?
She raised her hand and an invisible pressure settled around Lara's throat. She gasped.
Kaelan responded immediately with a quick movement he grabbed Seraphina's wrist
Seraphina sighed and let go
Seraphina
Always so protective... Kaelan, you are mine you promised me
Lara saw the pain in his eyes, the struggle in his soul. Something connected him to Seraphina something that held him back
Seraphina
Don't forget who you owe your life to, my prince. If you dare to betray me... you will pay with your blood
Then she turned and disappeared into the darkness, but Lara knew that this was only the beginning
